History

Established in 1986.

Romantic RiverSong Inn was established 1986 by Sue and Gary Mansfield. They invested in the property and changed it from a simple vacation home to a romantic retreat for couples to get away to. The inn has grown over the past few years from 4 original rooms to 10.  The inn also went from just Sue and Gary owning it to them having a staff of innkeepers and housekeepers. The Inn offers a variety of specialties including 5-course dinners, massages by the river, elopement packages and much more. Gary and Sue have watched as there small business has just flourished and grown. Come and see our wonderful inn and experience a getaway of a lifetime!

I stayed there a couple of years ago with my boyfriend.

We had the most awesome and romantic time, the fireplace was perfect. There was no TV in the room, and at first I was a little bummed out, but we were entertained the entire time. Hiking, dinner, feeding the ducks. Breakfast was awesome, the fireplace down by the road was so unbelievable Romantic.

The tender love and care that the owners have poured into this place is amazing. Riversong has a special place in our heart.

My wife and I love to travel for special occasions like our anniversary, but as new residents of Colorado we wanted to try a B&B in the mountains. We chose Estes Park as it wasn't too far away and the Romantic Riversong was highly rated.

Our two innkeepers, Cynthia and Mary, were fantastic hosts. The food was some of the best we've ever had from a B&B. The service all day with coffee and tea and just good conversation was fantastic.

The Forget me Not room is fantastic and we will come and get that room again! We enjoyed the fireplace, the tub, and the great location. We spent hours just looking over the snow covered trees and mountain tops.

We also enjoyed watching the elk and bobcat sauntering around.

The price is high, but worth it.

What a wonderful place to escape!  My husband and I needed a little "get-away-from-it-all" - and the Romantic River Song was just the place to do it.   We picked it based on the Yelp comments and pictures, and it far exceeded our expectations.  The property is beautiful - with incredible attention to detail.  We stayed in the Meadow Bright cabin - the only one left when we made the reservation and also the most expensive.  However, it was more than worth the money we paid!  So beautifully decorated - warm and cozy - again, with attention to every possible detail.   One great thing about the location is that it's not off the main road as are a lot of other cabins and properties for rent.  It's at the end of a private road and so is actually IN the mountains - with a feeling of seclusion.  No TV (thank you for the opportunity to disconnect!) but there is wifi so you can connect that way if you really want to (we stayed disconnected :).  The huge jacuzzi tub with the fireplace was a welcome way to relax after our day hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park.  The breakfasts were outstanding - Gary and his staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming - and the beauty surrounding us when we woke up every morning was truly incredible.  We would love nothing more than to go back every year - and we would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone.   It is a perfect romantic get-away - and adventure and nature are just outside the door.  LOVED IT!

Circumstances weren't great: My boyfriend and I were slated to be on a cruise to the Bahamas, but instead Hurricane Sandy came and we ended up visiting my folks in Denver.  We wanted a little romantic away time and found Romantic Riversong after a little googling of B&Bs in Estes Park.  They booked us for the next night and let us do a one night booking (instead of the required 2), as it was a slower time in the season.

Riversong was the perfect fix for our canceled cruise blues.  First, it is tucked away in a cozy corner of Estes Park , nestled at the foot of a small mountain and next to a gurgling stream.  We were greeted in the main house by Mary, the most darling and charming person, who made us immediately feel at home.

We stayed in the Wood Nymph suite, just off the main house, where we soaked in the jetted tub for two, roasted marshmallows in the wood burning fireplace, dueled in massive the double headed shower.  The room was even stocked with two full bookcases and board games, which led to a short and brutal Backgammon tourney.  A few trips were also made to raid delicious cranberry and chocolate chip cookies that Mary had left out.

Breakfast the next morning was delectable: strawberries and creme fresh, followed by an overflowing western omelet and baked home fries.  It was perfect fuel for the day of hiking that followed.

I highly recommend Riversong to anyone looking for a close location to beautiful hiking in Estes and a complete escape from the cares of the world.  You'll feel pampered and rested by the end of your stay.  Oh, it also ridiculously romantic.

There was no way my expectations could have fathomed how wonderful this place was! The pictures online do not do it justice. My husband and I went for a little getaway and will definitely be back! The staff was amazing and the breakfast was more like a 4 star breakfast than a typical b&b. The home was beautiful and every need was lee thought out. They even serve you your favorite beverage in the morning. The rooms were very private and our was like a little cabin in the woods. We planned to hike in Estes but the hiking on site was so great that we preferred it! You have to go here- perfect for a romantic getaway!

A truly wonderful experience.

We stayed in the "Coyboy's Delight" suite, which was an incredibly romantic and relaxing experience.  It was a 2nd floor room complete with a beautiful jacuzzi/bathtub, outdoor patio (although it was too cold to use), comfy king-size bed, and a wonderful staff that provided a delicious breakfast and other homemade baked goods.  It was such a welcoming experience that I would recommend to anyone.  Super close to Rocky Mountain National Park and other hiking trails.

Amazing facilitates, hosts, and location!  Thank you for a phenomenal stay.

Loved this place!  Beautiful setting, friendly people, amazing breakfasts, good location...what more can be said?

Just about 2-3 miles from the main street in Estes, sits back in an area by the river, with plenty of land to wander around on, sit and breathe in, ponder life...  Wildlife is all around you, from tiny humming birds to large elk.  Plus there's Thumper, the resident bulldog/guest greeter (she has her own Facebook page).

The breakfasts were amazing - gourmet and interesting (banana split with yogurt instead of ice cream, hibiscus tapioca pudding... yum), and the individual cabins were well appointed, and very comfortable.

Definitely on my "must go back" list.

We felt right at home the moment we drove up. We were greeted so warmly and felt really comfortable with the staff and other guests.  The river runs right through the huge property- as do elk and wild turkeys! The scenery is breathtaking with lots of good places to talk a nice walk. The main room is somewhere where I could hangout for a few hours and look out the giant window, read a book, or coax someone into a game of chess.

We toured the cute little town of Estes Park and went to an amazing Nepali restaurant for lunch. We took the ghost tour at the Stanley hotel and saw nearly 100 elk in Rocky Mountain National Park. I can't believe places like this still exist!

Our room was cozy but not small at all. I felt warm and fuzzy being surrounded by cool nicknacks and tons of books. There were neat little touches throughout- someone pays attention to detail!  We loved the fireplace and the view too. At night we could hear the wind blowing the trees around and it felt like we were alone in the middle of the woods.

Breakfast was wonderful, service was great. Coffee, tea, juices, yummy yogurt and homemade granola to start, followed by and egg and green chile casserole and gluten-free muffin. Everyone is so pleasant and accommodating, more than happy to cater to any special dietary needs. There is also tea, cookies, and scones in the afternoon and evening.

Can't wait to make up a special occasion to go back!
