Clean, comfortable, and close to shopping. We enjoyed our stay here!

We stayed here because of the rave reviews at a number of online sites. For a motel, it's not bad, but also not better than your basic Best Western. And for the supposedly discounted rate we paid of $150/night including tax, that's no deal.

If your goal is to have basic amenities, be close to town, and price is no option, than the Haber is your place. But located in the back of a restaurant parking lot with no view and loud truck noise in the morning is not how I want to spend a weekend away. There are plenty other places around Estes Park closer to hiking, with better views, and many with hot tubs for each room which cost less than the Haber.

CAUTION!  They will charge you a ridiculous cancellation fee regardless of how much time you give them notice, the WORST part is that they don't tell you about the fee when you call to book the room...  When you do call and cancel the room, they will direct you to a link in their e-mail that tells you about the cancellation fee, but at that point they already have your money.

I booked a 2 night stay for 9/1/12 & 9/2/12, called on August 21st to cancel because I won't be making the trip and was told I would be charged the fee.  That's an 11 day notice, but do you think they care - heck NO, they already have your money.

If you like giving your money away without being given notice, then book a room at The Haber Motel...

Woohoo! As good as it gets in Estes Park!

Ok - keep in mind this is Estes Park, but this place was a little gem.  It only has 6 rooms, but the rooms are spacious and very clean.  The place looks like it was only built only a couple of years ago.  The bed was extremely comfortable as well.

The only draw backs are that it is located behind a couple of restaurants - odd location.  And in the morning around 6:30 - 7 AM the trash trucks empty the dumpsters.  This did wake us up each morning.  But, looking around there are no other places in Estes Park that could measure up to this place even with this draw back.

So we pull up to this place and think... What did we do?? So we decide to just do it and will stay or go based on the room.

The room is shockingly nice, just like the pictures! We did not think it would be so nice but we really enjoyed our stay. The bed was really comfy. They obviously spent the money to upgrade everything about the room.

Being behind the restaurants isn't too bad. The trash truck did show up but it was bearable. It's a funky location but easy in and out. It does sit next to the road but we couldn't hear any traffic.

My only complaints: no light in the shower so it's a little dark. The room does have a coffee maker but mini solo coffee cups. Bring a mug/cup.

Would recommend this place if you want to be right on the edge of downtown. Easy walk to the shops and restaurants.

The location was a little odd when I first pulled in. It is located behind two fast food places and a bank. There is a view from the 2nd floor of the mountains across the street. The neighborhood isn't bad. The down side of the location is the garbage truck showed up at 5:30 am on a Saturday. The shower head is not that great. I would guess it's low flow but there are ones that produce larger drops and are nicer to use.

The room is larger than average. They could even fit a love seat in the room. The bathroom is a little larger for a motel and the dressing area has a large closet. The furnishings are nice and the decor is more like a home than a motel. There is a table, seat at the end of the bed, gas fireplace, iron, mini fridge w/freezer, coffee maker and a jetted tub.

They are only open for check in from 4-7 but will email you check in instructions. Since the door locks have codes they can send you it by email like they did for me.
I paid $180 a night and while steep the mountains are pricey. I would stay there again.

We put some family up in the hotel when they came to visit. They were hesitant at first when they pulled up because it is small and not your typical looking motel but that ended up being a great plus. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. It is a GREAT little motel. The rooms were spacious and upgraded and the location, right in the heart of Estes Park, could not be beat. Nice job. Next time we are recommending a place to stay for visitors, it will be one our first recommendations.
