The Maxwell Inn in Estes Park, CO

The Maxwell Inn is Estes Park's newest renovated Inn.  We have 17 rooms that have inviting color combinations, brand new Serta mattresses with custom duvet covers and beautiful wood trim work.  Start your day with our complimentary continental breakfast and finish it by relaxing in our outdoor hot tub.  It is our mission to make your visit to Estes Park as enjoyable and carefree as possible.

Established in 2013.

We purchased and began renovating the property in February of 2013.  It operated for ten years as the Mountain Sage in, and for twenty years prior to that as Trappers Motor Lodge.  About one third of the building was built in the 1930s and served as a home and then a dentist office before being remodeled in the 1970's as a hotel.  Those rooms from the original home have beautiful design characteristics:  one boasts a tile bathroom with updated marble window and bath treatments, two have beautiful coved ceilings, and yet another has push button lights true to the era of construction.

Believe it when you see the five-star reviews for this very quaint hotel in Estee's Park Colorado. The place is run by a young couple who have recently purchased the hotel and have upgraded it. It's not in the crazy zone of downtown Estes Park, but we would walk from the hotel every evening to get dinner or a snack. It only takes about 10 minute walk.  They have a small but very nice continental breakfast, there is fresh brewed coffee available in your room in the morning.  The hotel is very quiet and as I said it's off the beaten path and doesn't get traffic noise.  It's on the road that has very easy access to the Rocky Mountain national Park, one of the entrances that is not very busy.  It has an awesome outdoor hot tub, and outdoor fire pit, and even a little play area for kids.  Go!

I ended up extending a one night stay in Estes Park into a two day one, due in major part to the personalized, friendly, and accommodating service that Dana and Pete provided. We had such a lovely time in town that we could have gladly stayed longer.

The Maxwell Inn is in a prime location situated conveniently between the charming downtown Estes Park strip and the entrance to Rocky Mountain NP.  The inn itself is cozy and clean - I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when I come back.  Thanks for the hospitality!

My sister and I stayed at The Maxwell Inn a few days ago for only one night. The service was superb! The Maxwell Inn is very old, but the owners keep it extremely clean and comfortable. It is located about half a mile to the cute area of town full of awesome restaurants and shops. The owners are a young couple and Dana, the wife, is extremely nice! She answered all our touristy questions, marked out a map for us, gave her recommendations on the free rental dvd's from their lobby, and was super accommodating. I wish them much luck and success but I doubt they will need it as they told me they are currently number one on Tripadvisor. I definitely recommend this place and would go back in the future.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were very impressed. Dana and Peter were very helpful in every way. I highly recommend this Inn. We came from Southern California to visit Rocky Mountain National Park. We made reservations off reviews and we were not dissatisfied in anyway. Thank you Maxwell Inn for your excellent customer service and wonderful Inn! You are doing a great job!

The BF and I spent the last 4 nights at the Maxwell Inn. We were looking for a relaxing getaway and that's just what we got. The room was clean, comfortable and cozy. There was a microwave and fridge on the room- nice for leftovers. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were amazing- big, soft, best hotel towels ever!
There is a large patio with a firepit and hot tub that we enjoyed. They have a large selection of movies for checkout. The light continental breakfast each morning was a great start to the day.
The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a great time at the maxwell inn!

Incredibly friendly proprietors, lovely property and a quick walk into gown= a winning combination. I was impressed at how lovely the room was, with a bedroom and a sitting room. Everything looked brand new, and was mission style, very nicely done. You could tell someone put a lot of love and care into doing it right.
Kudos, would recommend for sure.
