Very clean hotel with helpful staff. Great rooms, free wifi, great fitness center, and all for a great price! My family and I have been wanting to try one of these hotels and I'm glad we chose this one. We were planning on driving to Moab, UT. The hotel there was $200 a night, we stopped in here and got a great room for around $125. Saved $75 and had a great location with plenty of things to do.

This was a great place to stay with really reasonable rates. Everyone was friendly and they have a nice workout room, spa and business center that is free. I really needed to use the printer and it worked great.

Awful experience. We checked in for 2 nights and cancelled after 1. We decided to stay here because it was the only hotel in Grand Junction that had a room with 3 beds. We got the largest room at 133.00 per night. The hotel lobby was clean, convenient location. When we got to the room there were no extra pillows, sundries nor blankets which I asked for on our phone conversation shortly after registering online. I went down to check out the hotel and walked to the front desk. On my way, I saw the girl behind the desk remove her earbud. I asked about having extra pillows and blankets delivered to the room. She told me to hang on a sec and then went to the back and handed me three pillows wrapped in plastic (firm), I desired soft as well as 3 pillowcases in which 1 was stained. I then asked if they had water bottles out for guests, cookies in the evening with milk for the kids, or any evening reception (it was Wednesday), she said no, but then balanced 4 water bottles, from behind the desk, on the pillows. I gathered it all up and precariously carried it up myself. There were no luggage carts here either. I didn't want to attempt the blankets on my pile, at that point and decided to see if the beds did not need them. I got back to the room and then spent the next 10 min unpacking pillows and putting pillowcases on them. That night the beds were okay, but the sheets and blankets were dressed on the bed very short. I went to take a shower and also saw there were only 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, and 1 bar of soap for the 4 people we had in the room, they knew this, but chose not to put 4 of each. Once we laid down, we had to yank the covers out from being tucked down so short. As for blankets, if you consider a sheet and one hospital size thick blanket with a folded up bed cover at the bottom blankets, well then... I went back to ask for additional blankets, there were no extra pillows nor blankets in the closet. Again, I was handed 3 hospital thin blankets to carry upstairs. Needless, not a good night. Next day at breakfast, we were hoping for a good meal, nope. The attached "kitchen" was a closet with a microwave. I saw the food come in in plastic bins and were microwaved, this included the rubber eggs, sausage, biscuits, and canned gravy. There was no extras for the packets of oatmeal, such as brown sugar, raisins, nuts. There was no fresh fruit and the pastries looked like the what I could pick up in plastic at Sams Club. They also do not have a hotel shop to buy snacks, drinks etc.. This is more like a motel. Nuff said, bad, bad experience with customer service, housekeeping and food. Will never go back. My parents came in the next night and I told them, stop! We changed hotels to the Fairfield on Main.. go there! and we all did and were very happy with the remaining 3 days we ended up staying in Grand Junction. Holiday Inn, by the mall, fix this stuff, lazy staff, cheap by not providing good food, blankets, pillows nor enough toiletries for people in the room.

Stayed here for a night on a road trip from CA back home to Colorado. I think the price (about $114, I think) for the location was way too high, but the stay was comfortable and OMG, I absolutely love that they have a pancake maker. The breakfast selection is excellent!

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Grand Junction review dated for 6.4.13
Intro: Mom purchased the stay with points and check in was effortless. Lobby is very nice and spacious. Even had a large touch screen interface with windows 8 that had a very helpful Holiday Inn app that had shopping, dining, and other travel info on it.
Room detail (negative): None. Room was very nice.
Room detail (positive): Nice beds. Wifi was fast. Good showerhead. Had a minifridge, microwave, and sink in the room that worked good. TV was nice and big. Curtains blacked out the room good. Coffee and breakfast was good in the morning. Layout of hotel was nice.
Overall. Great hotel stop on the way to Vegas. Near City Market (good grocery chain that's part of the Kroger brand of stores), a decent mall, and fairly easy to access off the freeway.

Great 1 night stay, great service, super comfy beds, plenty of amenities, giant tub to take a nice relaxing bath in. Work out room, pool and hot tub. A pancake maker, you don't see that to often. Over all great experience!

This hotel has recently been renovated and has great amenities. We got a great deal on a two-bedroom, three bed suite for $125. This was an actual extra bedroom with a door, not just a half-wall "suite" some other HI properties offer. The beds have double-wrapped linens which I like. The included breakfast was about what you'd expect although it was not well attended to as the pancake maker, hot water and orange juice were all empty. Good location, restaurants and a Starbucks nearby.

The bf and I stopped in here on our road trip back to California. The front desk Quoted us a price of $114 with AAA but mentioned their pool and hot tub was under maintenance until Monday. Not a big deal for us. It was nice that they mentioned that. I suppose if it's a big deal for some guests, they would stay at the other holiday inn express eight miles away off the interstate.
Room on the second floor was nice. Pillows were labeled soft and firm. Microwave and mini frig. They even had paper plates and plasticware set up! that's an awesome find!
However, you do hear everrrrytthing. From the kid running up and down the hall upstairs, to the tv playing in the room next door to the shower being used.
But the hotel is conveniently located across the street from a gas station, a drive thru Starbucks, a fro-yo shop, and there's even a City Market (grocery store), Kohl's and further down the street there's a Buffalo Wild Wings, Golden Corral, Cabela's and TJ Maxx!

I lived in Grand Junction for a lot of years so I know the quality of hotels in this town. HORRIBLE. When I come back to visit for work I am extremely picky about my hotels. We booked with the Holiday Inn Express because it was away from the mess of hotels on Horizon Drive. Came home one night to the entire parking lot FULL with numerous trucks & trailers for a cycling team. I was irritated because I knew that not only did they have trucks with trailers but they also has many vans to carry everyone. The older gentlemen at the front desk was very courteous to us and told us the young lady getting off her shift from the front desk that we could have her parking spot. He even offered to go out in the rain and stand in the spot so nobody would take it. We, of course, told him that wasn't necessary! But the thought was amazing. Then we tried to get a late check out and the lady at the front desk said they were full. We aren't leaving town until later this afternoon so I was a little upset. Called back down there, spoke to Dani at the front text and she was willing to work with us to this us that extra hour we needed to get our belongings together & head out. Great customer service. I definitely recommend staying here.
