This was the worst mistake EVER!!  The first room they gave us wasn't even cleaned, there was food in the fridge, dirty dishes all over and a bottle of hydrogen peroxide on the counter.  The front desk acted like it was "No Big Deal".  We asked if they had any rooms with 2 beds, which we were advised they don't, the front desk agent offered an upgrade to a 1 bedroom, for an additional charge of $20 per night.  After a few minutes of proofing my point about how bad the shape of the hotel was, she agreed to split the upgrade fee to $10.  After getting to the room, which, also had not been cleaned completely, we began to hear people screaming up and down the hallways... This continued until the early hours in the morning.  The next day, against my better judgement, we attempted to book an additional nights stay.  Once the reservation was complete, I called the hotel to advise of such.  From there I was advised by the manager that the room type I was staying in was unable to be booked on any online booking sites, including Wyndham and that the fee I had already paid for the additional night was going to cost an additional $20 per night.  No one at that facility seems to care about their guests, the manager, herself is and was extremely rude, unapproachable and my overall experience at Hawthorn Suite was one of the worst experiences and no where comes anywhere close to maintaining the Wyndham standards.

Excellent! Everything is clean and the staff is very courteous. Especially Lee at the front desk. He always goes above and beyond. Nice free hot breakfast every morning. Excellent for a short trip or if you are looking for and extended stay place as well.

This used to be Candlewood Suites. It's now a Hawthorn / Wyndham  suites. I thought the  price would rise due to extensive remodeling and updating. It didn't and is a great value, especially if you need an extended stay suite. The beds are very comfortable and we feel secure. The only downside is the close proximity to I-4 but they've done a good job buffering noise. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating, we are always treated as valued guests. The grounds are well maintained with areas for walking your dog ( pets still permitted). It's very close to Florida hospital @ Altamonte Springs & Hospice of the Comforter. It's really a 4.5 star because of the exceptional value( 4 stars-not a Ritz Carleton) and especially the hospitality Josh & Magan (5 star experience) extended us.

This was about as average as you can get. With a couple of real disappointments thrown in for good measure. I spent the night here while on a  business trip. Tired and just wanted to rest and get back on the road, I found that sleeping here was a challenge between the noise of others shouting in the hallway, which happened repeatedly even though I was on the first floor three doors from the front desk and don't forget to turn off the loud intermittent motor of the refrigerator. Lights shining from the electronics. I unplugged the TV and closed the bath room door, It didn't do much to help with the light since most of it was coming in from around the doors edges.  I will be looking for another place to stay when I pass through again.

After my initial arrival, I was pleased with the size of the room (junior suite), especially since the full kitchen was actually a full kitchen. Everything was very clean, and not only was complimentary breakfast offered, but from what it looked like, complimentary "dinner"/"happy hour" food was available on weekdays.

    So why the 'meh'? Because:

    1. the food was atrocious. Everyone knows that complimentary food isn't going to be great, and I'm definitely not snooty about the food I put in my belly. However, the breakfast was less than satisfying (no wonder people 'waste' so much food; it's too gross to eat). Eggs seemed like the mix-with-water-powder kind that were probably microwaved. I've never tasted such fake consistency in eggs in my life. Potatoes were soggy. Bacon was somehow drenched in oil, yet still not tasty. Juice machine was mostly water. Only breakfast foods that were bearable were the pre-packaged cereal and dairy products. I didn't pick this hotel for its food, and I have no idea how many people actually do, but my opinion is that if you're going to offer free food as an incentive to stay at your hotel, then at least do it right.

    2. HERE'S WHY I REALLY AM GIVING THIS HOTEL A HORRIBLE REVIEW: I stayed five nights at this hotel. My room was cleaned ONCE. One time. ONE TIME. I mean, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I was staying alone, so I ate the majority of my meals in my room. Meaning, my trash was full and needed to be emptied, yet NO ONE came to empty it. I couldn't care less about having my bed made daily, but not having fresh towels, nor areas to put my refuge is just silly. It's almost laughable. I was careful to not post the 'do not disturb' magnet on my door for fear that someone would accidentally forget to clean my room, but after several days of no maid (someone came after the first night, but apparently the entire maid staff quit shortly thereafter), I became convinced that the 'please clean me' sign (aka the lack of a do not disturb sign) was for novelty only. This literally translates to: MY ROOM WAS CLEANED 20% OF THE TIME ONLY. If this isn't a good time to use the abbreviation 'WTF',  then I don't know what is.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting it to be as clean as it was. I am so glad it was because the last we stayed in Altamonte at the Best Western we were sooooo unsatisfied. The price was right where we needed it to be as well. The breakfast was good my only complaint is that they served turkey bacon on the 2nd day. I think that's kind of biased because everyone doesn't eat turkey bacon.
