Service: 3 - Good

Overall: It's not a bad spot and I would come back here if I'm on a budget.

My Opinion/Story:
Part of a package we paid for, we were surprise that we were far from the places we planned to go to but the beach was just outside our door.  It's a quiet place but not very stylish.  Our beds were clean and comfortable and AC is working well.  We have a standard TV but bathroom is small.

I stayed here and the front desk girl, Julia or Julie or something was phenomenal. Wish more hotel employees were helpful and friendly like this.

My family went on vacation and stay here for 2 nights. There were 20 of us. Toddlers to adults. We had a blast. The staff was very accommodating when we wanted to have family dinners inside and out (in the ping pong table area).. The pool was a bit cool for being a heated and the kiddie pool wasn't open. I understand though, we were there during their down time (end of November.) The hotel is right on the beach, walking distance to the grocery store (get a room with a kitchen, saves you a good amount of $$).. speaking of rooms with kitchen, we didn't have one, but my sisters/brothers with children had one and it was perfect, oven, stove top, microwave, toaster and a good size fridge for such a great price.
I would stay here again. The rooms were clean, the grounds we're pretty, plenty of parking, awesome price... and well you can't beat being directly on the beach.

My dad and I have been coming here for the last 4 years in January. We absolutely love it.  The staff are all top notch. The Resturant is really good and the happy hour is the best (it's free) for the hour and a hot breakfast it's free too with the price of the room.

We stayed here while in town for the Daytona 500, luckily the night of the race wasn't booked up. Was exactly what you expected, the old "cheesy Florida" decor. The staff at the front were very polite and friendly. They offer free, yes a free hour of drinks at the bar. Keep in mind it's draft beer, house wine or we'll drinks. Since the race had such a long rain delay it worked out perfectly when we came back to dry off. We didn't eat so we can't mention that, but there were a lot of early bird goers enjoying their food. They also offer a complimentary breakfast, we decided to go to The Cracked Egg instead though. Was overall an easy enjoyable experience. Would stay here again.

Excellent value

This hotel is right on the beach.  We had two queen beds in a spacious room.  We also had a fridge and microwave in our room.  The pool and kiddie pool are fun.  Great value.  I also really appreciated the free happy hour and free continental breakfast.  The breakfast even included hot items, such as sausage, eggs, and pancakes.  Each room has a small balcony or patio.

I love this place! Great location, great price! The room was updated, clean and very nice. I was satisfied with the free breakfast. We just got home from here yesterday and are planning our next trip back! While we were there we decided to stay an extra night, and even though we added a night over Memorial Day weekend they made it quick and easy!  Nice staff! We especially liked Tarik in the restaurant, so nice!
The one thing I disliked was when all the party people came with their kids for Memorial Day weekend. No one wants to see beer bottles left everywhere, kids running in the hall and kiddy fireworks all over the ground, while they are on vacation. Good thing we left soon after they arrived.

We have had the most wonderful time here. The front staff has been amazing especially Chelsea! She is funny with a huge personality! We loved seeing her smiling face each day.

The room is nice and has the tiki motif throughout. The bathrooms are a little small but manageable as we hardly spent anytime in the room other than to sleep. The only other thing in the room is that there should be a fan in the bathroom. The view from our room (306) was amazing. It looks over the beach and the pool. This room has a king size bed that was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on!

The pool is very nice and huge compared to other hotels in the area. There is also a kiddie pool, shuffle board, corn hole, basketball hoop and table tennis. Towels are plentiful and there is music playing which is a great touch!

The Traders restaurant was good. We just had salads and soup. There is a free nightly happy hour from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. This includes beer on tap, house wines and mixed drinks. There is also a free daily buffet breakfast from 7:00am to 10:00am. Both were unexpected and made our stay an even greater value.

The beach was amazing and just a few short steps from the hotel. There is even a hose to wash off your sandy feet when you return to the hotel property.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be thrifty yet still expects a "bang" for their buck.

Side note: if you have the time you must visit the Ponce de Leon lighthouse and make your way to the top of it. The views are beautiful!! The gift shop there is great also! I bought myself three sugar scrubs that are to die for. Also, the restaurant Racing's North Turn had the most delicious Monte Cristo sandwich and you must try the banana split. The banana split is not on the menu so just ask for it as you won't be disappointed!

So my first time visiting Daytona I stayed here this December. The room was fairly dirty, the hall  and elevator smelt funny kind of like old pee. While we we're getting ready the electricity went out in half my room and a friends. When we used the elevator we had to press the bottom five different times just to get from the third floor to the first. The beds we're hard. The staff was kind of nice but didn't bring us towels when we asked. They wouldn't let us out of staying there so we ended up paying for our rooms at the Best Western as well as booking the rest of the nights in the Hilton. The quality of this hotel makes me not want to stay at a Best Western ever again.

It was an indoor stay all the way for me because the weather was bad. My room was with a balcony and a side view of the ocean. The room was not so nice and clearly needed an update. It had been definitely worn in by many guests far and wide. If you're looking for a resort or luxury try again, but if you're on a budget this might be your place.

What I noticed:
Firm beds
Microwave and fridge
Questionably clean but no bed bugs found
Happy hour available
Great front desk
Free wifi
Free parking
Nice size pool
On the beach

Returnable? Not for me, not my type of place but could be a good place for the frugal
