I've been a choice hotel member for about 2 years now, so I usually stay in a Comfort Suites when I'm on the road. We stopped by this one last week on our way to Port Canaveral for a cruise. Check-in went fine, and the people at the front desk were nice. Got to our room, and the door wouldn't open. It was like someone had a chain attached inside, so we thought someone might be in the room. So we got the manager, and he basically pounded the door until it opened. The next morning, we were trying to get into our room after breakfast, and I kicked the bottom of our door so it would open, and a couple walked past us and said their door did the same thing. Computer in the business center as really slow. Shower head was plastic, and had a crack in it. When you adjusted the shower head, it would spray water out of the side of it. The TV had about 20+ channels, and they were fuzzy. I wanted to watch the History Channel and Discovery Channel, and they were not on the TV lineup. Of all the Comfort Suites I've stayed at, this one was the worst.

This hotel is under construction and transition from a Comfort Suites to a Holiday Inn... I tried to take all that into account and looked past the tarps in the lobby, etc. However, the carpet in the rooms and hallway is FILTHY. The room wasn't too bad aside from the carpet but nothing was updated or "nice." Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel.

Spacious room with a clean, firm King bed. The complimentary breakfast was advertised quite a bit by the hotel but ended up being very disappointing. The fruits were anything but fresh, the orange juice was very sour and tasted as if it had had plenty of water added to it.
I was not pleased with the sight of heaps of trash bags and loose trash right next to the pool area.
The fitness center was tiny without much equipment or apparatus and the business center had only 1 computer! I am not sure how many people the hotel holds on average but 1 computer for all those people is a joke. I understand that most of us will probably have out own computers nowadays and maybe, at the most, only desire a reliable wifi connection but having just 1 computer for everyone still sounds like a joke to me.
I was, however, pleased with the offer of complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste since my friend and I had visited Daytona Beach from Orlando and decided on a whim to spend the night having not brought much with us. The front desk were also very friendly and attentive to our needs as customers.
I would probably return if ever around Daytona Beach due to the size and cleanliness of the room we stayed in but definitely not on account of any of the amenities.
