After demanding our money back at La Playa next door, we came here at 10pm on the Friday night of memorial day weekend and they had a few rooms left. The front desk guy, Toby, was more than helpful and quoted us a price of 130/night for an oceanview suite. He listened to us and was more than helpful and when the manager heard our story, he gave us a suite for 109/night. They only had room for us on Friday night but the manager and the front desk staff were more than willing to give us suggestions on other places to stay that were in the vicinity. They even called one of their sister hotels just about a mile away to see if we could get in there for Saturday night. The accomodations were more than wonderful and the ocean view room was great. It wasn't ocean front but we could see a great portion of the beach and enjoyed the complimentary morning paper while we sat on the balcony Saturday morning. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Stayed here for Biketoberfest and I have to admit it was a very nice hotel.  The amenities they gave the bikers was nice (Bike wash, covered secured parking).  The rooms were nice and we had a high floor room that overlooked the beach and ocean.  We didn't spend a whole lot of time there but for the price we paid per couple was reasonable and, in my opinion, somewhat of a bargain. The location was great and we all had a great time here! Definitely check it out if you need a place to stay while in Daytona Beach!

Pros:  Potential to be a great hotel.  NIce building and great views.  Three pools and exercise room.

Maid service is very bad:  They never vacuumed for whole 4-day stay.  They came late in the day every day, 5:30 except for the last day when they started knocking on the door early in the morning asking if we were leaving.  The trash cans by the elevators were always overflowing, probably because the rooms were not cleaned.

Towel service is awful:  You have to get towels from the front desk so you will have to wait in a line of people waiting to check-in just to get a towel for the pool/beach which is annoying.  The front-desk is understaffed so there is always a wait.

The TV was very outdated and there was no guide in the room.

Daytona beach resort, let me start off with, Daytona beach is a beautiful place. The resort itself is in a great location, the four pools and two hot tubs and beach access are amazing. Myself and my boyfriend and in-laws stayed here from 8/19/13 to 8/22/13. Our first night was Saturday we checked in At around 8 pm at first impression the room was nice, we got an ocean view suite. First impression, solid, nice spacious room two queen beds, good size kitchenette with full size fridge. Then we started to notice the smell, it was moist, and we just thought it was the humidity. Then we thought it was that they had just cleaned the carpet and didn't let it dry very well, but it just got worse and worse. Eventually we realized it was mildew and there was mold in the cabinets. We had gone out for dinner(great recommendation from Hein) and mom and dad were asleep, we decided to watch some tv, direct tv in the rooms, and free wifi, great features. Then we found a cockroach. Just one, got rid of it reported it to the front desk at midnight. We were so exhausted from traveling we passed out. The next day, Sunday, we were out and about,  We went back to the hotel and got groceries and made dinner. They provide two burners and place settings for four, pots, pans, cooking utensils everything you need. No dish soap. Then the air conditioning went out at 10 pm. It was too late to have maintenance come out so they moved us to a new room. Same floor, same room "type" but on the other side of the hotel and did not provide us with a luggage cart, they only brought up the key. It was a smaller room and Toby(amazing employee super star of the week) came by to see if we could fix the a/c and not have to move but the smell of mildew was unbearable at that point. So we moved to a similar but smaller room and were told their supervisor would be in by 7 am so we could talk to them about our stay so far. The next morning we headed out to Disneyworld and big surprise it was 7:45am and their supervisor was running late. We were running behind by that point so we got going and were told that we would get a phone call. No phone call. We got back from Disney and needed to pack and do one quick load of laundry, there's a laundry room on our floor so we grabbed some quarters and went to see if we could get some detergent. No single use dispenser, nothing at the little convenience store in the hotel. We had to drive to the nearest 7-11 and buy a quart of detergent for one load. at this point it was too much. And it was late again so no "supervisor" on site. Toby once again was here to help and resolved our issue and called the gm. The devil is in the small details. We had a great trip otherwise, and Toby was an amazing proactive employee.

this is a pretty nice hotel. we had a 2 queen suite with a kitchen and living area. there was a balcony but you had to lean over and turn to the right to see the ocean.

there are multiple pools and hot tubs. we were a bit disappointed to learn that the outdoor pools were not heated, there was not a hot tub outside and the outdoor fire pit that we saw on the website was not yet open.

we tried using their computers to check in for our flights but they were so slow and it was way too hot in the little room to bother.

overall the hotel was fine. the room was nice, we used the indoor pool and hot tubs but that's about it.

This was my first time in Daytona. We picked the resort because a friend owns the condo, and we got  a really good deal by renting from them. We took a cab from the Daytona Airport to the resort, and that was literally the only negative of our trip. Our cab driver was....interesting, to say the least. The rooms are amazing. The bed is super comfortable, a nice view (even for a street view room). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The other guests were chatty and nice (this being the off-season, we weren't sure what to expect). The things that we liked the most: the proximity to the beach, convenience to the grocery store (and the fact that you could buy wine and beer at Walgreens!!) , restaurants, the pools and hot tubs, by far, our favorite thing, was the bartender, Jason, at the Reef bar outside by the pools. He was friendly, personable, and very attentive to all his guests. We ate lunch at the restaurant in the resort when we first arrived, which made a great impression on us. The waiter was friendly, and attentive. We didn't try any of the spa services, but that is on the list of things to do when we come back next time.

I can't think of anything bad to say about the resort at all. It is a great place to come, and we will most definitely be back soon!

Great hotel multiple pools is a plus. Ocean front is great. The only minus for me is would like to have been closer to the boardwalk.

Four stars for the large refrigerator , coffee maker of more than one cup, two range stove top and direct tv. Loses one start due to itchy feeling comforter. Great for the price and good place to live with a Walgreen's and Publix across the street.

My family and I have stayed in Daytona more than the average person, and this was our first time staying at this resort.  Three stars says it perfectly, A-OK.  The parking was a little shady at night if you couldn't park right in front then you had to park in a parking garage, so do not let your younger daughter stay here for spring break! Actually, she shouldn't be drinking and driving anyways.
I digress, the place is far from the hoping part of the strip wich is about 4 (ish) miles South.  Hoping, meaning where the late bars are open, most people stay, the beach is packed and there is fireworks and live music.  This may be what you are going for or you could not want to be by there, so just letting you know! We had the second to top floor, I believe, ocean view and a wonderful balcony that had melting sunsets with brilliant sunrises that were worth waking up for.
There is a Publix across the street, but other than that it is just some hole in the wall places that were dingy, and an Applebees, or something of the chain sort. We did not make it to the pool because it was closed by eleven, understandable, but annoying never the less. The outside pool was nothing special and not heated in the winter time.  Not sure if that is normal or not.  For the price of the room it was worth it; I believe.
My one concern was a young gentlemen who refused to help my mother when she lost her phone.  He worked the night shirt and did not even bother to take her name, room number, or other contact information.  He also assured her that it was not turned in without even taking the second to assure her by looking.  This nearly ruined out trip if the manager the next day wasn;t so apologetic and courteous to the situation.  I mean she asked the guy for a flashlight and he looked at her like she was mentally handicapped and I was dang near about to climb over the counter top.  Anyways, the managers help the next morning made the rest of our stay enjoyable and we were able to find the phone elsewhere. Overall three stars because it is an average place to stay, with an average bar and average everything!  Nothing bad, but nothing spectacular other than the view.

Room amenities: We stayed in a ocean view standard room with two queen beds. The beds and pillows are awesome with pillow top mattresses which is easily the best part of this hotel.

Shower pressure really sucks. It was like washing in a water fountain. Weirdly, they dont offer conditioner with the complimentary shampoo. Tv is in really bad shape, but they do offer cable. They aslo put us right in front of the elevators so there was lots of noise at all hours.

Small little kitchen stocked with the necessary cutlery and a full sizes fridge.

Service: Some of the staff was friendly and some were not. They do not clean rooms very well at all. lots of little messes everywhere in the room whenever we came back.

Warnings: Be sure to specify that you want a private balcony shoud you want to go down that route. You have to pay extra for it otherwise you get a public balcony or walkway. The mandatory resort fee of 12 bucks applies for every day stayed.

Hotel amenities: The pools are nice, nothing special and they have a sauna. Pool bar serves pretty weak drinks. The hotel offers complimentary beach towels but be careful, they are strangely overprotective of them.

Location: the location is good. The beach area is beautiful and somehow not as crowded as other areas of the beach. It's also within walking distance of the restaurant charley horse which has awesome crab legs.

Price: the price is decent, averages to about 140 a night including taxes and fees. This only works if you take advantage of the stay two nights, get the third night free.

Overall it's a decent hotel but I don't expect us to go back again.

Very Clean, very spacious and very attentive to our needs. The people on staff here have gone above and beyond what can be expected.  Will definitely come back again.

Came here for for Bike Week and stayed at DBR. The rooms were nice but for me the best thing was the attached parking structure, you just drive up to your Level, go through the door and you are right in front of your room, very nice concept.

The room was very nice, clean roomy, nice kitchen, refrigerator, couch and dining table included.

The only cons was the outdated TV, everything was so nice in the room that the old TV stood out, they could have updated to a flat screen TV.

But I will book my next Bike Week visit in this Hotel again.

Pretty building from front and back.  The employees were all very nice and helpful.  The room was spacious and we had a great view of the beach.....once you looked past the roof.  No balcony, though (we were in the South Tower), which I really wanted.  We were up there for a work event, so we couldn't have as much fun as we wanted to.

The buffet food was good and plentiful, but I wish they had left the food out a little longer and had bottled water or something available after lunch.

Would I stay there again? Possibly.

Great hotel. New and modern renovations. Was only there a night so did not use a lot of the facilities. Good location but is about 3 miles north of boardwalk. Good new beds, good linens. Nice pool. Good beach.

Location matters! so amazing to be able to walk out your hotel room and be swimming in the ocean within minutes! For the busy 4th of July weekend parking was hassle free. Only 2 complaints... 1. the cleaning service came by very early in the morning, but easy enough to put the do not disturb sign out. 2. sat outside at the pool bar waiting to order lunch for 25 minutes without any service, really big bummer. no one said anything to us. eventually had to leave to go get food elsewhere.

This hotel is definitely not a 5 star resort but it is a great stay for the money. The amenities were really nice. They offer 2 outdoor pools plus one kndoor pool and a kiddie pool. The tiki pool bar has really good drinks too. The rooms were really clean but the bed is not that great. It's a little far from boardwalk but it's location is very quiet which we like. I would stay here again.

The faculty where all very nice, and helped in every way they could. The restaurant, like most at a resort, was a little pricey (great stake by the way) and slow service. The sauna had much to desire and the room had a couple of small stains, but other than that we had a great time and enjoyed our stay

Stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights while on vacation. Got the beach front room on the 5th floor.

The good:
- Excellent staff and service, they are all very friendly and accommodating and even allowed us to checkout later.
- There will be a resort fee of ~12$/person/night, but the available facilities are very adequate. 2 large outdoor pools with a 3rd kiddy pool as well as another indoor pool. A small gym with lots of machines are available. There is also a business center that has internet and free printing.
- Beach front rooms have an amazing view of the ocean and the beach. Rooms are clean, carpeted, and fairly soundproof.
- Very powerful A/C so you'll never get hot.
- The room had a full-sized fridge, stoves, sinks, and utensils for cooking.
- Free Wi-Fi! Free local calls.
- Steps away from the sandy beaches of Daytona Beach.
- Free indoor parking on multiple floors.
- Very comfortable and clean beds, sheets, and linen.
- Standard cable TV.

The not-so-good:
- Said free Wi-Fi signal can be spotty and weak in certain places.
- My beach front room balconies were public, which I did not know in advance. There are private balconies available. The front door opens onto the public balcony, so privacy can be an issue (unless you pull the curtains). Makes for awkward encounters.
- Bathrooms are small, cluttered, and my shower drain was clogged.
- Rooms can get quite humid, despite the A/C.
- TV was rather small.
- There are only a few power outlets and they are awkwardly placed around the room.

Bottom line:
Daytona Beach has one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. This resort definitely allows one to experience the beach in a comfortable and affordable way. The staff and service is excellent. The rooms are adequate, but I feel the bathrooms were not well renovated. Inquire about whether or not your beach front room has a private or public balcony.

Would consider returning to this establishment in the future.

Oh, and be sure to wake up early to catch a sunrise.

Stayed here in March for one night.  For a 4 star resort we were very underwhelmed.  The food in the restaurant was very average.  The bar by the pool had good drinks and an awesome bartender, but she had to run inside every time someone wanted to use a credit card.  There were two pools, which sounds great, but one was a smoking pool.  There were stains in the bottom of the pool.  The towels at the front desk were extremely thin, and the front desk attendants guard them with their lives.  I was very glad we only stayed one night.  The interior and the whole hotel was very outdated.  The entertainment for the night was a rat pack cover band, and the dinner special was meatloaf. I will say our room was very clean.

House keeping sucked. We had the same sheets in are bed for three days before they were changed
We finally got management to do that. Another morning we got up and showered and left the room and came back several hours later the beds are all made up but the towels from where we took a shower were still laying on the bathroom floor they didn't clean the hair out of the shower or wipe down the sink. One night we ran out of toilet paper had to walk all the way down to the front desk to pick some up asked several times to talk to management and got no reply at all. This was during bike week 2015 so you can imagine what the rooms cost a night. We finally got home called the resort numerous times to talk to management about getting a credit on our bill and never got a phone call back. So consumers beware of this place the housekeeping in the management at this establishment are awful

I stayed here for a week this past December. We had room 1202, a two queen bed suite. The suite was fantastic! Very spacious; the bathroom had a walk-in shower that could fit  5 people (if you're into that type of thing). J/K The beds were cozy and comfortable. There is a sofa bed in the living room. The bedroom and living room had a walk-out balcony. The balcony from the living room has two chairs and a small table where you could sit out with your coffee and watch the sunrise and read the paper (which is delivered daily). There is a full kitchen (minus the oven) and it feels just like home. On the property, there are 2 outdoor pools plus a kiddie splash zone and a tiki bar that serves drinks. There is also a fire pit for hanging out at night. A gate from the pools leads directly to the beach. Inside there is an indoor pool and 2 jacuzzis (which were HIGHLY chlorinated). How do I know? My burning eyes told me so. There is a day spa on site, restaurant and workout room. Also, there is a laundry room, but you must buy your detergent outside of the resort. I don't know what else this resort can offer (maybe complimentary breakfast)? I had a good time here. I was able to get some much needed relaxing done. It's the perfect location and we had the perfect stay. Highly recommended!
