This hotel is right around the corner from the Daytona airport and serves it's purpose very well.  The hotel was quiet and the rooms were as well appointed as any other Hampton Inn I have stayed at in the past.

The free breakfast had many options and had an ample seating area.  The cookies near the front door were also a nice touch.

If only every hotel visit was this easy!  I walked in, checked in, got settled in, all in one continuous flow.  It was awesome!  I have not seen the new, updated more homey look to the hotel, but I like it!  The color, the hutch and closet in one makes for a great office space.  

And the bed!  Oh, the heavenly bed!  This is the kind of  bed that would require the hotel to call security to get you out of it.  It feels that good!

Other amenities like free parking, free breakfast, cookies in the evening, and of course the quick check out with the bill under the door, along with the fridge and microwave in the room make this a home away from home.

If I'm in the area again, this is definitely where I'm hanging out!

Since I generally stay at various Hampton Inns all the time, I have some yardstick of comparison and this particular Hampton is not one of the better ones, especially in price comparison to their surrounding competition. I've never know them to offer an "deals" even on "off season" and have found most of the patrons who stay here are often there because of the airport which in essence means that there is coming and going, along with noise, during all sorts of hours.

This was the only room left for the Daytona 500, so we decided to book it.  Looks like the hotel has not been remodeled since the 90's.

I expected much more based on the other reviews, and location.  You would think that a "prime" hotel would be in a bit better shape.  The rooms and breakfast are pretty standard.  One positive is the distance from the track.  All in all it was decent, but I would not choose this property again.

! Arrived at the Hampton Inn in Daytona, Fl  for the Rolex 24 and the staff immediately was so helpful and nice....I arrived w 2 other girls as models for the race and we loved the fresh coffee and teas available 24 hours!!! Tammy was so incredibly sweet, making us extra cookies and I had a crazy sweet tooth and she dropped off extra chocolates from a local chocolate factory, te maid service was phenomenal however a few things went missing (but you know girls....) anyhow a great pale to rest your head when in Daytona!

Unfortunately, this hotel provided the worst customer experience I have ever received at while staying in a hotel. We were visiting from Indiana due to my mother-in-law being in a coma in the hospital. We called to make arrangements to stay at 1pm (check-in was at 3) and they said we didn't need a reservation and we would be fine without one. We showed up at 3pm and they were full.

The receptionist and GM refused to help. They told us we were out of luck. Luckily, 6 of us squeezed in a room designed for 2, after we purchased a couple of air mattresses.  While talking to the GM we could hear the receptionist behind her talking poorly to other guests and she actually hung up on my wife later that night when inquiring about a "roll-away" bed. The receptionist was out smoking with someone in our party and stated that she hated when people played the "race card" and only had 30 more minutes she had to be nice before her shift was over.

It took 5 emails sent across a period of a 2 months to even get a response and that was half-hearted at best. It was a typical form letter with my name inserted.

My stay was on July 14th, 2014 and today (Sept 2nd, 2014) I received a voucher for a 1 night stay. There was no letter, no apology, just simply a voucher.

I feel that it is just a "shut-up and go away" solution.

I fully did not expect this kind of service from a chain that is internationally known for their service excellence. I have been an HHonors member for 7 years and I will not be frequenting any more of their properties.

Wonderful for a Hampton Inn. I usually stay at the Hilton Daytona Beach when in town, however they did not have a rate this week and I was so put off by their GM I choose to stay here.

Friendly staff, new rooms, better breakfast than the standard Hampton.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Hampton. The rooms were renovated, clean and cozy. The beds were your typical Hilton chain beds.  The beds and pillows are always soft, big, fluffy and a must on every vacation for me.  The bathroom was clean and there was a lot of storage space under the sink.  The desk area/workspace was very well organized and inviting.  The Internet connection was great!  I didn't have a problem at all during my stay.  There is also a complimentary hot breakfast.

This is a nice Hampton. We called late in the day and got one of the last reservations. I blame that on any of the negatives in the review.
The hotel is nice and the woman who checked us in at ~ 8:00 PM was very friendly. Check in was easy and she directed us to our room.
The room was nice and clean the bed was not a king as promised, and even mentioned at check-in, but two doubles or queens. That was fine. We would have preferred a king, but, after four nights of camping on a queen air-mattress, any real bed would be great. These beds did deliver. Any Hampton I have stayed in has had great beds and these were no exception.
The room was clean. Everything worked. The only downside was the noise. We could hear everything in the hallway and the ice machine was a bit loud. Like I said, this was probably the last room sold. Late reservations and late check-in means I don't have a lot of options. Also, I heard the desk clerk tell someone else that they were sold out.
The breakfast, which was the first thing that turned me on to Hampton fifteen years ago or so, was great as far as free hotel breakfasts go. Many things to choose from, including make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, some egg selections, cold cereal, yogurt, and your standard hotel pastries. I had a couple of waffles and coffee. My wife had a yogurt, a half an English Muffin, and some fruit.
At check out, I waited at the desk for a few minutes while I could see one of the clerks in the back office playing on her phone. Another clerk came from toward the elevators and offered to help me. At which point the clerk from the back came out to help as well. Checkout went smoothly after that.
Tip - If you decide to stay at any Hampton, get the Hilton Honors card for free wifi and to start building points.
If I was in the area, I would stay at this Hampton again.
