Our suite is so modern and spacious. The spacing was done perfectly to our needs. We cooked dinner in our room enjoyed the beach view and the costumer service was perfect. Thank you Marriott!

Excellent hotel, clean and friendly staff. Room was great with kitchen and the works. Beachside, perfect for relaxing. Free parking and breakfast~ definitely close to everything, loved it and will stay here again if in the area. O yea did I mention free breakfast till 930 or 1000. Gym wasn't that great but basic

Was in Daytona for an event at Ocean Center.   We found this Marriott property and discovered that it was new.   It is several miles from Ocean Center but not a horrible drive.  This hotel is really in Daytona Beach Shores.

As we were driving down to find the hotel, we passed a lot of the old hotels that populate the Daytona Beach area.  We were pleased to find that this hotel looked new.

Lots of positives about this hotel:
    - Right on the beach
    - Looks brand new
    - Big spacious lobby
    - Very friendly staff
    - Surprisingly good breakfast buffet (for free)
    - Big clean rooms

    Some ok things:
    - Rooms are new, but some features seem like they've been either reclaimed or was it just a remodel?
    - Not a lot of parking.  If the hotel is filled, good luck finding a spot.
    - Ocean views, but our room was looking out with a great view of a bank of AC units.   We still had a good view of the beach facing southward.

    And the rest:
    - 2 elevators.   Seem slow especially when busy.   The hotel staff uses the same ones.   They are also small.
    - When we checked in, the toilet in our bathroom was clogged up.   It took a couple of calls before they got us a plunger.

Overall, this is a nice hotel in a good location.  Great people help put this place on a list of places I'd go back to.

This is a business solo trip on April 14, 2015, a Tuesday.  To start off with this hotel is best described as the residents and Daytona Beach Oceanside not to be confused with the one inland. I was given room 813. It's windows and balconies offer an angled northern view of the beach and an excellent panorama of the sunset.

This hotels fixtures, furniture, and amenities were all quite modern looking. They start with a very cool, I'll call it a "notifier" that is located just outside your door. It features a doorbell, a red do not disturb light, and a safe to make up the bed now green light. This is a pretty cool system as it allows the staff to quickly scan whether or not a guest is ready for checkout or tidying up the room. The door locks are also cool instead of sliding a key card in and out you just wave it in front. I personally love this type because they're less likely to get jammed up. Entering the room directly to the left is the kitchen area. It features modern appliances like a French door fridge/freezer microwave, coffee maker, and a dishwasher. Stovetop is a flat glass stovetop built in the counter, pretty nice. There is even an icemaker built into the door which is invaluable. A small deuce table makes up the dining area. The living room sofa can probably made into a bed although I've must be honest and say that I forgot to check that. There are however outlets situated around that seating area so that you can plug-in your devices while watching TV. And speaking of TV, it's pretty cool how they have it on a piece of furniture separating the bedroom and living room areas so you can swivel it and watch TV in bed as well and bonus points for having that be in the middle so you're not craning your neck in order to watch TV. Additionally, there are outlets and USB chargers located throughout the room. The bathroom features a pretty cool looking shower that is a combination of glass walls and a glass door with no step up or down into the shower, which I find to be pretty cool. A decent showerhead and fairly good water pressure unfortunately didn't make up for losing hot water while trying to do my shower shaving in the morning. Additionally it's kind of a pain in the butt because you can't turn on this shower without actually being in it which means you get blasted with a cold shower first thing. Not exactly sure they can fix this though which is unfortunate. Lighting in the bathroom was very nice and bright.

This room features a double balcony with one in the bedroom area and one in the living room area. The living room area is about half the size of the bedroom one. Neither are very large but the bedroom one does have a couple of chairs situated on it that you can squeeze into with just enough legroom for sitting but not really for lounging.

The free wireless when tested at 10:16 PM, yielded results of 9.5 over 6 Mb per second, which is pretty darn impressive for free Internet.

I checked out the managers happy hour which had a nicely presented sausage "snack" Buffett. There were assorted green and red peppers mixed in with onions and one dish a marinara type sauce next to it in another dish. A good assortment of what looked to be grilled sausages. Some buns and some pretzels and I think that there was some cut up melon as well. What I found to be a disappointment was the fact that I couldn't figure out how to get a drink other than the water that was by the food. The bartender wasn't present at the time of me looking anyway and also equally unhelpful was the front desk staff at that moment. I would later have a decent front desk person welcome me back from dinner.

I poked my head in the gym which featured a couple of treadmills, a stepping machine and what looked to be a rowing machine. The pool area is beautiful with a zero line pole cascading into what looks like the beach. It's a smaller pool but there is a rather large Jacuzzi, a grill, lounge chairs and several umbrella tables. The entire space is covered with pavers and looks quite beautiful. On the right-hand side of the pool area are some steps if you take those up there is a second floor open Jack featuring more tables and chairs and a spectacular view of the water. No one was up there when I took a peek saw not sure how busy it gets but it could be an ideal hangout.

In conclusion, of the two residents Inn's located in this city your better bet is this property over the inland one in my opinion. Although you'll spend a little bit more money you'll find it to be well worth it in the long run. Situated on a beautiful beach you really can't go wrong. I would've given it five full stars, but the fact that I ran out of hot water in the morning during my very short shaving shower, caused me to have to reduce it by a star.

This hotel is gorgeous and has everything you need, at a great price point!  Trust that neighboring hotels are filled with great envy, as this hotel outdoes them all!  Great Staff, great value, ideal location and incredible view!  The pool is beyond anything anyone else offers in the area.  You won't regret making this your hotel of choice when visit the Daytona area! Well done!
