This place was probably amazing 15 years ago.  More attention needs to be paid into cleaning door handles & light switches.  Grossness from the lasts guests were left behind.  Nice big suite, though, and the city view isn't bad.  We are almost to the top (23rd floor) so maybe that is a bonus.  The ocean can actually be seen from the room.  I swear, you can hear eggshells being broken in our room from directly above, though.  So far, unimpressed.  You can tell they don't care much about keeping this place classy, either.  You can see all the old paint still on the sides of the mirrors in the bathroom, and other places. Also, upon arrival, it is difficult to determine where to check in.  There is no grand entrance, and is poorly marked.  For the price, it is good.  I wouldn't want to buy here, for sure!  Much less pay $100/ night.  Although it is better than having a regular hotel room.

Very nice family oriented condo hotel.  It is a timeshare owned and operated by the Wyndham Corp.

It has a very good location, excellent views of the Atlantic Ocean.  The amenities consist of a Concierge, bar, restaurant, Karaoke, Inside Putt-Putt, Indoor/Outdoor Pools, Children's pool, lazy river, arcade, Child Activities, Fitness Center  Plenty of activities for young children, teenagers and adults.

The complex is connected to a mall that has movies, restaurants, bars, Starbucks and stores.

It is right off of the boardwalk and not far from the convention center.

Will definitely stay again.

For anyone staying here be aware that this week (6/24/13)  they've had multiple (6+) break ins at various rooms. The robber apparently is a woman who is prying open the doors and stealing cash and credit cards. We have  friends that are in the area for a national dance competition and they've all either been robbed or had a close call. One of them the robber broke into the room while they were napping. The robber asked their youngest daughter, who happened to up, where her mommy was and then ran away. This has all happened over a period of a couple of days and seems highly suspicious. It doesn't seem as though the staff is doing much about it either.

Todd was an amazing front desk guy, our reservation was messed up for our honeymoon but he took care of us and made sure we got the room we wanted. Our bartender lady was super sweet. This hotel is amazing and you'd be a fool not to like it!

Sorry this review may be long but will have important info.
We rented a 3 bedroom for a week at a good price.  The room faced the ocean (as all three bedrooms do) which gave us great views.  The resort had three outdoor pools and two indoor pools, an indoor mini golf course, an arcade, two bars and  free WiFi, in the lobby.  There is lots for kids to do.  They wont be bored.  The beach was awesome. Spent every day in the water or just soaking up the sun. That was the the good stuff.

We prepaid our room and check-in was easy, however, we found parking was going to be a problem.   Since there were several families staying with us we had three cars.  However, they only allow parking for one car.  There is a public parking garage across the street at $20 a day if you dont take it out, $.50 an hour if you take it out.  Be sure you notify the GARAGE off ice you you intend to leave it overnight or it will be towed.

The room was spacious but the were many things that needed repair.  The door jam into the room was falling apart,  the shower was missing a handle and you couldn't open the shower, the shower head in 2nd bath came flying off when you turn on the shower, the sink leaked under the sink, there was not enough utensils in the room.  All these things were corrected when we contacted the desk.   The beds were very very hard. Everyone had sore backs after the first night.  we asked, and received, extra blankets to lay on the beds to add some cushion.  The room was not up to the standard of what I would expect of a resort.

The elevator situation at this place was frustrating to put it mildly.  Each tower had four elevators and at times the wait cold be  30 minutes, especially during check-in time.  we were on the 10th floor and walked the stairs many times.  A key trick is to get on the elevator whether it is going up or down.  Rule of thumb.  if the doors open get on.

Beach chair and umbrella rentals are available on the beach for $30 a day for two chairs and umbrella or $10 a day for a chair.  And this is only until 5 pm.  we bought a couple chairs and umbrella at Walmart for $30 and used them all week, then left them

Finally, the people who work there.  With the exception of Amber was was very helpful, most of the employees were rude or unhelpful.  On several occasions we asked an employee a question and they ignored us and kept walking by

We would consider this place again as it was a great place to stay for the kids

I really like this Resort. I was in Daytona for New Years and experienced both good and bad weather and still came away happy.

During good weather I enjoyed the beach and the lazy river.  During cool weather I still had 2 outdoor hot tubes and a heated pool. When a storm hit I used the fitness rooms and indoor pools. Also, they had a adult only room with billiards and a high rise version or putt putt.

The lower level was shared between both towers and inculded the area between.   This had the toddler play area, spa, HUGE gym, pools, arcade and other facilities.

Not to mention each condo had two flat screens. Mine had a whirlpool and a deck overlooking the ocean. (I am from StL)

During a down Wednesday the neighborhood arcade, rock climbing, go cart, laser tag, and putt-putt place had an all inclusive day for like $10 to help entertain the kid in all of us.

The condo vacation for my family is a cheap vacation because we are able to eat most meals right out of the kitchen. While I might not have had Key West for New Years, I did get to swim in the ocean on a nice day and stand in the ocean and watch fireworks for New Years. Timeshare condos are for the flexible minded traveler.

Right on the beach and lovely views from the balcony. If you're ready to do it college style, you can fit 6+ people in a one bedroom (2 people on each double bed, 2+ people on pull out sofa). The kitchen is really well equipped and even has a blender. There are kids activities in the below ground area; a game room, pottery painting, ice cream, etc. There are many other activities, mainly for kids, but also a movie theater, a lazy river, several pools and a workout area. They seem to give you whatever you want; beach towels, coupons for local attractions, inner tubes. It is truly a superior location to stay save two things:

1) As of the date of this review, there is no internet, free or otherwise, in the North Tower. This is where you stay if you don't have a timeshare.

2) They seem to be a little obsessive about security. Only one car may use the parking garage (per room), the room key is used to enter the garage and again to get into the building, and any guests must be declared. When we checked in, late-ish in the night, we were virtually followed to our room by a security guard stationed in the middle of one of the hallways who was very non subtle asking us if we needed help "finding something" on a floor that contained absolutely nothing but rooms. We were told very unequivocally that we would only receive one set of wristbands for use of the amenities and we'd better not lose them.

Stayed for 2 days in the North tower.  Does have wifi at least on the 13 th floor.  Fantastic view.  Unit looks new but colors look like 80's.  Only complaint is balcony railing needs paint job.

My wife and I were given a complimentary guest stay her through my sister-in-law who had a guest pass of sorts. Overall, it was better than I had expected. I had some bad preconceived notions of Daytona Beach based a terrible experience I had there years ago, but if one stays away from the "town" (very weird, meth-y looking pedestrian traffic and a general empty feeling)-- all is well. The beach itself is very clean and nice.
The hotel room we stayed in did have some problems.
There was no wi-fi. We called the front desk several times and was told there was indeed wi-fi but that "technicians were working on the problem". Over 4 days they worked on the problem and gave up, from the looks of it. After reading a few reviews here it appears there is no wi-fi other than what they have in the lobby and hotel bar.
There was no hot water in the master bathroom shower.
The Jacuzzi's hot water came out as a trickle and it took nearly an hour to fill.
(such problems!!)
The outdoor music that played (surprisingly loudly) literally from 8 AM until 10 PM at night was confounding in its intended audience. It was all some sort of terrible new pop / American Idol crap. The clientele of this place while we were there had to have had an average age of 67 and we wondered who this horrid music was supposed to be entertaining? Whoever is programming these tunes needs to really look at the demographics of their customers and make a simple adjustment. It could turn the vibe around. I suggest maybe some Sinatra. Or classic rock. Something.

This is definitely a great place to stay if you're in Daytona. Very clean rooms, and more amenities than we could use in the one night we stayed. Every employee I encountered was exceptionally friendly. I would definitely return.

Had a 2 bedroom unit on the 7th floor. Everything was great until I started to see roaches. Lovely rooms, clean bedding, efficient kitchen and nice bathrooms. The bugs kinda unnerved me. I shook out my belongings outside when I arrived home.

I would NOT recommend this hotel!!! Absolutely DISGUSTING! The only nice about this hotel is the view period. None of the rooms have been updated in probably 20 or 30 years and I should know because we had to change rooms 2X because they were just not livable.

The mattress was like sleeping in a sink hole, they haven't been replaced in probably 20 years the same with the decor. Don't even get me started with the bathrooms. No water pressure, no hot water, the shower/tubs were so old and black mildew around them. the fixtures are just as old and so well worn that the chrome has come off. The cabinets throughout look as if they were picked out of a second hand store and were dirty!  I was afraid to touch anything.

The units do not offer darkening curtains and what curtains they do have don't close. Nothing like trying to sleep with the common hallway light shining in.

They do not offer daily maid service only when you check out. So if you are there a week you only have 2 towels. Really??!!! But the unit does offer a washer/dryer and the front desk will be more than happy to provide you with as much laundry detergent as needed.

They do no offer WiFi, which was a hinder for me as I was there on business and as a business traveler WiFi is vital.

The front door entry has a difference of 1" (metal lip where the tile and carpet meet) I tripped over it every time I went out, and fell twice. A hazard especially for those who are handicapped.  I travel quite a bit and this has  to be the very WORST hotel I have ever stayed in and would NEVER EVER recommend.

Over rated !!!!! I will never stay at this place again. Anytime you had to use an elevator it was at least a 10 min wait. Rooms were a bit  out dated. They could have used a fresh coat of paint. Way to many people not a relaxing quiet place at all. You have to wash your own towels ect. We had an ocean front room that was the only plus to the stay there.

The Landing Bar: They have no brandy or cognac of any kind, only whiskey. The bartender wasn't attentive. What drinks we did get were watered down and terrible. All the beer came in cans, though they have taps that you can see. This bar is meant to be convenient to the room, but I would rather walk the two blocks to Seabreeze.

Otherwise, the hotel itself was nice, clean and comfortable. The only thing I would criticize is the unclear parking situation. You are meant to be given a parking permit at some point and we never received one, resulting in most of our group unexpectedly having to park at a nearby garage that cost almost $20 a day to use.

2nd time staying here.  Not your typical high touch Wyndham experience.  Room was clean but dishes were not.   Closet door to washer dryer fell off when my wife slide it open.  Washer dryer needed to be replaced.  Kitchen cabinets has laminate peeling off.   Carpet in kitchen/dining area was torn and tattered.   There was some on site repairs and painting going on so we could see there was some maintenance.  Beach access and being close to pier is nice but overall quality is mediocre and the bar for us is not usual very high.  Debating on whether we will return next year.

We showed up and were given the keys to a room that we weren't satisfied with (only because of the view).
However, when we returned to the front desk, we were more than accommodated when we asked to change rooms, and were given an ocean front view! The lady seemed more than happy to help us, and graciously switched our room to a room with an oceanfront!
The room itself looks just like the other, though. (We are in a one bedroom deluxe). They were clean and well stocked with everything we needed (except for ice, which is free from the lower lobby). I read complaints about rooms needing updating. Our room was just fine! Maybe it's just the colors, or something! And the single deluxe bathrooms are great, with a large whirlpool tubs! The bedroom is a California king, and the televisions are decent-sized flat screens! The walls are painted with a bold tan color, which fits great with the furniture!
The only complaint would be that the Internet doesn't work really well up on the 18th floor... But, I don't go on vacation to waste my time on the Internet, so I don't mind going to the lobby for it!
The staff has been more than welcoming! I would say 90% of them say "hello" to you before you even realize they are there! And the ones that don't, well, no place is perfect!
We have had a great experience, definitely among the top of our long list of hotel experiences.
I would say that if you aren't happy, return to the front desk and politely ask for a change, and they will be more than happy to accommodate!!!

Might have been because it was Summer, but I would not own a timeshare here if they gave it to me.  Seriously.  It's not worth the maintenance fees to me.

First, and this is not an exaggeration, the parking decks fill up at night and even though you have a parking pass, you have to use a public lot across a busy street and a block away.  While you are there, they take your parking pass so you have to go back and forth to get back into the hotel lot the next day.  Lots fill up by 9 PM on weekends, maybe 10PM otherwise.

There is no wireless internet in many rooms.  It is too large of a property to reach most, so you either go to the lobby or tether your phone and use your own  service for your laptop or iPad.

The elevator wait can be forever.  Gave up after 15 minutes once, mwalked 11 flights of stairs to discover I was in the wrong tower.  It was my first day there, so part of that was on me.

The timeshare offering was supposed to be 90 minutes, no pressure. Ha!  Three hours fifteen minutes and I still had to return the next day to claim my $100 Amex.

The lazy river and pools were full all the time during normal hours.  Maybe you could find a lounge chair  after watching intently for a while for someone to leave- maybe not.  We were there 7 nights and never ever got in the river because it was so full.

Most of my problems - not all, but most- stemmed from overcrowding.  If you go in May or September, you might love it.  The two bedroom condos are fairly spacious and if you tether your phone you make your own wifi.  The location is prime, if ground zero Daytona is what you're looking for.  There are several mediocre restaurants withing easy walking distance, and the whole place has kind of a knock-off Disney feel.  Disney done poorly.  For me, during Summer, it's a nightmare.  Maybe if you have small kids and want a lot of stuff in one place it would be okay for you.  If you don't, though, go elsewhere.  I'll never be back.

This is a very good place to stay if your looking for a relaxing week long or more trip. The rooms were very spacious with full kitchen and plenty of room for everyone. The pools were wonderful. Sometimes busy but that's what happens when you go during a busy time. Popcorn and ice cream is served a lot. It's a perfect location too! Right by the pier and tons of restaurants. Even a movie theater for when you get too burnt! Great family place!

This review will be updated as this is my first day here and I am writing this as a first impression. Upon arrival, we noticed that the room was decorated like a beach cottage decorated in an early 90s style. We laughed about the stove looking like it was from the 70s and all other appliances were really old.  My husband described it as a step up from a motel 6.

-The kitchen cabinets looked second hand and were dirty inside. CLEAN every kitchen item before use. Don't just rinse.

-There were 2 tvs in the hotel and they were tiny, fuzzy, and sounded like we were watching tv through a tunnel. I would have appreciated tube tvs over them.

-My daughter slept on the pull out bed and it's a good thing she is small. The springs toward the foot of the bed were not attached, and the mattresses on all of the beds felt like they weren't replaced in 15 or so years. Lumpy in weird places, hard as a board in others. I would check for bugs.

-No wifi in any of the rooms. Only in the lobby. Was not convenient for my husband as he needed it for work.

-The air worked (good thing) but made a super loud noise when running.

-We had no balcony/outside access. Our view was the hallway. It was weird. The windows have blinds that may work. There are no black out shades and the curtains that do exist do not move. Use your blinds because you cannot turn off the hallway lights at night.

-The locks do not have secondary locks at the top, so if you have tiny escapees make sure you block the doors with furniture like we had to.

-It was VERY easy to hear the neighbors next door. One bedroom suites are connected by conjoining doors. Sound proofing does not exist and they sounded like they were literally in our living room while I was in the bedroom. It was horrible.

-When we arrived, we were not given any blankets for our beds or some of the essentials that a hotel typically gives you. They brought stuff up when we called though. I also say bedS, plural, because instead of a king bed, we were given two double beds, lol. Not even fulls. We had to push the beds together.

Apart from the outdated and slightly dirty rooms, the hotel itself was nice and up to date. Pretty modern decor and tons of things for a kid to do. That is why we stayed here in the first place. Not many resorts on the beach strip have as many activities for the guests, so you have to take the bad to get the good. They give you a calendar with a good amount of daily activities. There is also a full arcade room, a cute kiddie room with toys, mini gulf, a 21+ adult room, two indoor pools and a large outside lounge/pool area. There is a lazy river outside, two large heated pools with a water slide, and a separate area for the little ones with fun climbing structure that has attached water slide, squirt guns, and water shooting everywhere in the middle of a 2 ft or so kiddie pool. My daughter LOVES it and calls it the kid water park.

All in all,  certain rooms suck, but the place is good for kids. We stayed next door at the Regency and while I thought the hotel was outdated, the one bedroom suites were MUCH better and bigger in comparison to the Ocean Walk rooms. They provided a lot (even coffee which the Wyndham doesn't provide) and the beds were really comfy (even the awesome sofa bed). The Regency 2 bedroom is probably as big as the three bedroom at the Ocean Walk. If the Ocean Walk provided the rooms the Regency did while keeping all of the amenities it has to offer, it would easily be one of the best resorts in the area.

We have stayed here multiple times and this is our favorite hotel in daytona. We love the location next to the ocean walk and peir. The rooms have always been clean and have had everything we need. We have always stayed in a one bedroom. Once you check in there is no need to get back in the car unless you want to go to the grocery store. The kids love the slide and the lazy river. We will return.

Less than acceptable service. Cheap plastic tasting breakfast food. They've made it look nice to cover up how cheap everything is. Woke up to a cockroach in the bathroom.

My family members and I  stayed here for my aunts wedding. I think all together we had like five rooms. All of them were different sizes. This review is for my immediate family's room and experience. Our room was pretty spacious. We had a wrap around balcony with two bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen and dining room/living room. It was clean and spacious. The location was convenient with lots of things to do downstairs and without having to drive. It's right on the beach/boardwalk, restaurants and movie theatre basically downstairs. The only downfall was they messed up our rooms when we were checking in (we were suppose to have an ocean view and we ended up with a city view) and I don't remember their being a maid to clean (but I know some timeshares don't do maids). My brother and sister also didn't like that we have to pay for Internet but when we did it was really slow.

I had the semi-unfortunate experience of staying at this property.

The stay itself wasn't entirely bad. Except for the fact that there is no internet available in rooms for non-owners (if such a thing can be believed in this day and age), the property itself is pretty nice.

I did have the air conditioning unit in my room spring a massive water leak. But I was accommodated quickly by being moved to another room and given $50 in spending vouchers.

Here is the unfortunate part: It's been nine months since I stayed there, yet I continue to get periodic telemarketing calls from this company. I just got another one today. This despite the fact that I've asked them two times to take me off their call list, twice reported them for violating the "do not call" list and even reported them to the FCC.

Unless you want to be pestered against your wishes with telemarketing calls into the distant future, I seriously suggest you stay somewhere else.

What a terribly low-class business. I've had a few not-so-great hotel experiences, but I've never been pestered so much and regretted staying somewhere like I have for staying at a Wyndham resort.

If I could put zero stars I would. I checked in and went to the room and when I open the bed sheets there were brown stains all over. Looked like someone sh*t on the sheets. So I go downstairs and show the pictures of the bed sheets to the desk, so they move me. Then I go back up to get my stuff to move rooms and they've already de-activated my key, so now i have to go back downstairs. after having to go back and forth to the desk, because of key trouble I finally get to my new room just to find mold in the shower. At this point it's past midnight and I was just pissed. Safe to say my stay here wasn't anywhere near satisfactory.

I just love this place! My family and I have been coming to this resort for a few years now. I just love the beach access and the option to swim in the pool (even though the main pool was drained and under construction). The resort is located right next to the Ocean Walk Shops. The units are very spacious and equipped with everything you need.

You really don't have to leave the resort for anything. They have everything you need from food to the entertainment. Besides the pools and the beach, there is a game room, restaurant, bar & an miniture golf course too.

However, if you wanted to leave the resort there are many place to go that is in walking distance. There are several clubs and restaurants you can just walk to.I love going to the Oyster Bar which is a couple blocks away. Also there is a movie theater right next door. I actually went to watch a movie on the last rainy night I was there. All I had to do was go to the 4th floor and walk across a short catwalk and i was at the movies.

I love coming to this resort the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect especially if you love a beautiful sunset or sunrise.
