Hotel staff (Roberto, Sirena, Kahssandra and Phil) were professional, friendly and very accommodating. Housekeeping staff kept our room in order while we visited with family and friends. Coin operated washer/dryer on site was a useful amenity. Less than 15 min from the airport - about a $20 cab ride. Free full breakfast buffet, inexpensive parking and less than a two minute walk to the beach!! More than we expected for the price - room was under $200 - a bargain - compared to the Sheraton or Marriott hotels next door. Catch a trolley (75 cents each way) to Publix Market - excellant rottiserie chicken!

Great location for a good price. Quick walk behind the hotel to the beach. Awesome free hot breakfast buffet: cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagel, sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, make your own waffle, juice and coffee bar. Nice pool area. Nice snacks on lounge menu for pool area. Bartender Rose was nice and social. Front desk was very helpful as well. Short cab ride from airport. Walked to other bars, restaurants, dancing, etc. Didn't need a car from this site!

I rate this hotel at about 3 and 1/2 stars. The facilities and rooms are adequate. Parking is convenient in the basement for $5 a day. It has two good points, one location, it is an easy walk around the back to the nice ocean beach. The second is this has the best free breakfast I have had in a hotel, nice room, friendly staff, good selections, including fresh fruit. The breakfast is a model of what other free hotel breakfasts could be.

This place was OK. Bed's not entirely comfortable, the Internet connection cuts out all the time, and the place just seems too cramped. It is close to the beach, and the continental breakfast is decent, but I'm glad I'm not paying for it.

The hotel is ok. Rooms are kind of old. Carpets are pretty worn out.
Parking was free (i think). Two reasons for one-star: The staff at the buffet demanded a tip while we were eating (there was no "service" in the buffet, you go and get your food from whatever is offered). Next, the front desk staff tried to charge us twice for long distance phone calls. Even though it was clear in the receipts that we had paid for it already! And it took us 45 minutes to take care of this problem...as a result delaying our check-out.

I highly recommend this hotel for the price, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. The hotel is not completely on the beach. The beach access is slightly convoluted - I personally prefer direct access from the hotel. The staff seemed un-enthused, but pleasant. I really like the pool area with fountains & quietness & free beach towels, although the condo next door can see everything from above! The pool seems like its fresh+salt water & was always nice. Some pool toys are included! There isn't a restaurant in the hotel, but free breakfast was not bad. The parking lot(s) could use some updating. Those pillars are hard to navigate around. Hotel needs some updating inside & outside, but the rooms are presentable & comfortable. No private patios.

This was a good find for us.  We stayed one night prior to flying out of FLL.  Close to airport, clean, comfortable, and quiet.  The staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly.  Parking below the hotel was convenient.  FULL BREAKFAST was included - a bonus.  Very comfortable and convenient - would recommend highly.

A solid three-star hotel with an outstanding free breakfast buffet.

I stayed here with a friend several nights to attend a conference at the neighboring Marriott Harbor Beach Resort.  The Best Western Plus Oceanside Inn is an easy one-block walk from the Marriott.  (There is a sidewalk that cuts between two buildings straight to the Marriott.)  Beach access is also a block away.

Our room had a nice little balcony, but no view.  That was fine with us, since we were only using the hotel to sleep.  And being on the back side of the hotel meant the room was quiet.

Rooms were pretty clean, as long as you don't count the dust-filled exhaust vent in the bathroom.  (Would be nice if the hotel would clean those out once in a while, but I doubt many hotels do.)

There was confusion with our check-in, which resulted in the front desk first trying to enter our room at 1am and then followed that up with a phone call at 2am.  Being a woman, it was a bit unnerving to have someone call at 2am, saying they were the front desk and asking for my name.  Extremely unprofessional.  But the management handled it professionally the next day and comped us for that night since we did not get the sleep we had paid for.

The room had an iron and ironing board, which was handy, since we were attending a business conference.

    The free wifi worked well.

My friend swam in the pool and said that was nice, as well.

Parking is $10/night plus tax, which is actually a great deal when you consider the Marriott one block away was charging $25/night.

Breakfast was downright awesome.  Fresh fruit and waffle makers.  Cereals and juices.  Toast and muffins.  Plus, a hot buffet that changed daily, including scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham, bacon, hash and grits.  Plenty to get you going for the day.

Air conditioning was a wall unit that was noisy, but that didn't bother me.  It's white noise, so it kind of helped me sleep.

It's a basic hotel.  If you're looking for a fancy beach resort, this is not your place.  But if you're looking for a good place to sleep (with comfortable beds) and a great breakfast, look no further.

    I couldn't decide between 2 or 3 stars for this hotel. I'd say a 2.5

I stayed at this hotel with a group of girlfriends last year for our yearly trip together. The location is great. Beach behind hotel (and a building).  Within walking distance to many shops and a busy area.

The breakfast, pool and rooms were just ok. The breakfast wasn't much of a variety. I've seen more at hotel's free breakfast. The pool was not very big and still had a deep end. So not much of the pool was 3-5 ft. The rooms were small, had tile floors throughout, beds were not comfortable and need updating.

The main issue we had was in 1 of the rooms we had with double bed, we were bitten by something on our legs and arms.  This was before bed bugs became big in the news. We don't know what was eating on us. Changing the sheets did not fix it.

This awkwardly triangular hotel is suffering from too many decades of ugly paint, popcorn ceilings, tube TV's and too many dentures plunked in the glasses. The shower was a patchwork quilt of broken and replaced tiles, the counter top had been broken in  three places and sloppily repaired.

Its attraction is location, nearly on the beach (but without views from where we were) and close proximity to the airport and cruise ships. We stayed here for 6 hours to relax before a flight. We were entertained by the boisterous and bellicose maids yelling like baying hyenas up and down the halls. Thank you for not allowing us a scintilla of a nap.

For six hours it was barely bearable, for a vacation, no way. Oh, and its not all that affordable. We were quoted $189. I negotiated down a bit, but these should be $49 rooms.

Awful! I have stayed at Best Western before, so, I know it's not Hilton. However, I have never seen a dirtier place ever before. I am ok with old, but I can never be ok with dirty. As soon as you step on one of the floors, the smell, the dust, the dirty carpet, brrr. Stay away!

    Great location!
The hotel is very run down. The main thing besides the heavy wear and tear was the door lock for the room was very loose and not very safe. I didn't recall seeing there was a $10.00 parking fee. I would most likely select another property if I come to the area again. There is construction going on so maybe they realize improvements are needed. The free breakfast buffet covered all the normal BW products well prepared.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend for The Tortuga Music Festival on the beach nearby. I am in no way saying this is a 5-star hotel but it easily surpassed our expectations.

1st, you self park in the garage below the hotel. Could be a pro or a con. I didn't care. I kept my own keys all weekend and the elevator went to the garage to load and unload my stuff easy.

2nd, they don't really have bell service. Once again, could be a pro or a con. I, once again, didn't care. I loaded up the luggage cart and brought my stuff up to the room. Didn't have to wait on anyone.

3rd, they have fee hot breakfast every morning not just muffins, and Danish with a pot of coffee. Scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, pancakes, waffles, cereal, bagels, coffee and juice. Nothing too fancy but it is hot, free and hit the spot after a night (or 2) of drinking.

Let's move on to the room. Definitely a little dated. Could use a remodel for sure but they are clean and I just want a clean bed and not have my feet stick to the floor. Sure, the closet door doesn't quite close right, the shower could have drained faster and the door to the common balcony looks like the feds might have busted it down a week prior.

Lastly, and I'm saving the BEST for last. THE SERVICE! I can't remember EVER encountering a more friendly staff at ANY hotel or restaurant in Palm Beach, Broward, Dade or the keys, EVER that was this friendly.... did I mention EVER??

From check-in, to the cleaning staff, to the lady at the restaurant in the morning to the random people you encounter walking around the property..... EVERYONE had a smile and a hello in English! I know we live in a diverse community down here, but I never encountered someone that "didn't speaky" I was thrilled, amazed and delighted all at the same time. EVERYONE was nice, polite, accommodating and genuinely seemed like they actually gave a shit that I chose their hotel.

I would definitely stay here again!!

From the outside, the Best Western Oceanside Inn looks innocent enough but inside it's a bit of a dump. You'd think that you went back in time to the mid-80s or something. The décor is completely outdated and the walls in the hallway have a slight yellowed look to them as if someone just smoked ten cartons of Marlboroughs or something.

The walls between the rooms are so hollow, it sounds like your neighbours are right there in your room with you. I could hear the intimate details of what the people next door were doing in their bathroom. At around 10 PM at night I heard the neighbour say to her husband from their bathroom, "You know what? Learn to flush!" TMI. They weren't being loud and unruly, it's not their fault, it's just the paper thin walls.

We also had the unfortunate experience of having a room close to Seabreeze Blvd, which even on a Sunday night is a busy street. We had the neighbours' bathroom conversation in one ear and loud motorcycles and car horns in the other. If you must stay here, ask for a room as far away from Seabreeze as possible.

Our check-in experience could have been better too. We were early for our check-in by a couple of hours so our room wasn't ready yet. Fair enough. We told the front desk clerk that we would be on the couch in the lobby which is right in front of the desk--maybe about 20 feet away. She said that she would let us know when the room was ready. We sat there for about an hour or so. Finally my wife decided to go enquire about the room. "Oh yeah, it's ready now." Great. Thanks for letting us know, like you said you would. She just let us sit there. She must have thought that we were going to spend the night in the lobby.

The best thing this place has going for it is its location. It's a few steps from the beach. It's within spitting distance of the Sheraton next door. The guests at the Sheraton probably stare at this place from their balconies and laugh at the poor souls staying here.

Best part of this hotel is the location! It's a 5 minute walk to the beach, $11 cab ride from the pier, and close to the airport.  Since we arrived before check in time, we had to wait for our room.  We were by the pool waiting.  I let the front staff know they couldn't reach by cellphone but that we were close by.  I checked an hour and half later and our room was ready and no one came to tell us.  Oh well, it's ok as it was before the check in time.

Our room was on the second floor.  It seemed decent and clean, although showing signs of aging including the bathroom and doorway.

The walls are thin, so if you are a light sleep you may not get a good sleep from the noise of the traffic, and tv and talking from other guests.

The breakfast was included and it was decent.  There was hot food including ham and I made myself a breakfast sandwich.  There's a bar with a small menu.  We had the bbq chicken sandwich and came with a bag of chips.  Although it wasn't really bad, I wouldn't recommend eating here unless you want for convenience.  There isn't a lot of restaurants near by, but about 10-15 minutes walking along the beach you will find some.

The next morning we were going to take a cab to the airport but the front desk said there was a shuttle coming.  We thought this was complimentary from BW but found out it was $11/person once we arrived at the airport.  Not sure if it would have been cheaper to take a cab as traffic was light.

There's a pool and lounge chairs around.  If you get a room on the second floor, you can also go out to the patio area with tables and chairs.

For the price we paid of $134, it was good to be so close to the beach.  If you are looking for a place to stay longer than a night or two, I don't think I would recommend this place.  Too noisy and outdated rooms.

They remodeled!!!! It looks amazing!!! They expanded the bathrooms and foyers and bedrooms!! Everything is modern, the lobby isn't all that but they saved money on that to give us nicer rooms with features like delta faucets and plasma tvs... Awesome service, great free hot breakfast with eggs and meats and fixings, waffles and pancakes! And it's RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!!! we staid at the Miami bw before our cruise and where not impressed, outdated and overpriced, this place was the opposite! And the underground self parking garage is a plus so our car will be nice and cool for us! Love this place, I compare the room quality to almost a Hilton

I really loved my stay here! We booked the rooms through hotwire and got the rooms for around $100 a night. This price is really cheap considering it's right next to the beach. (like a 2 min walk through another hotel) One thing that sucked was paying for parking at our own hotel. It was $16 a night for parking :( Our room had a really lovely look to it. It was decked out in bright happy lime and teal decor. I didn't like the fact that our balcony was shared. I was paranoid about making sure we locked the balcony. The staff really scared me when they tried to open the door during my nap. I used the top lock and they were trying really hard to take down the lock through the door.( It seriously sounded like they were going to break the door down. ) I forgot to put the do not disturb sign up @.@ trust me I remembered it for the rest of the trip. The cleanliness wasn't bad. Our fridge and microwave were good. I loved that the pool was open till 11pm! I'm accustomed to pools closing at 10. Overall I loved my time here and I would go back.

You can tell this is an older, remodeled hotel but it was very nice. The rooms are updated and the pool area/restaurant was a nice place to relax. The staff were very nice and helpful. Would totally stay again.

    This was better than expected.

We stayed an extra night following a cruise, and the hotel is a $10-$12 cab ride from the cruise port.

Check-in and check-out went really well.  We arrived early and expected to wait for our room to be ready, but luckily it was clean and we were able to get a key immediately.  This probably isn't the case each time, but having a room available early was a pleasant surprise.  Also, we had a later flight out the next day, so we were able to request a later check-out 12:30pm and have them hold our luggage while until we called a cab to the airport later in the evening.  The front desk staff was very friendly.

Also, the rooms are more modern and updated than expected.  Access to the pool is nearby, so we'd recommend requesting a poolside view.  The walls are thin, so that is a con for early birds or light sleepers.

It's located at the start of the beach, so it's a pleasant one-mile walk along the sands and water before you get to the shops, restaurants, and bars.

The breakfast was good too!  Hot eggs, bacon, ham, and coffee.  Fresh strawberries and whipped cream was a nice touch as well.  The pool and bar/restaurant are good for an hour or two, but they might get crowded if more than 15-20 people we there at the same time.

Overall, we booked based on location and price, so we expected somewhere between okay and great ... this place is pretty good.  We would stay here again.  It's a good option for somewhere under $175/night, especially for people only staying a night or two before/after a cruise.
