I stayed 12 nights.  Very powerful mold smell.  There also was mold in the air conditioner which is also located right by your bed so you have it blowing directly on you all night.  The dehumidifier fan didn't work in my bathroom.  Shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall so my shower curtain wouldn't stay put.  This lead to having water all over my bathroom every morning.  No screens on the windows so you can't have the windows open without a bunch of bugs getting in.  Pretty small pool, muffins and bagels for breakfast is all you get, and the exercise room is pretty non existent.  You have to pay extra for wireless internet which sucked.  I had a better connection tethering my 3g phone to my computer.  Overall the staff was nice while I was there, there are security card locks on all outside doors, and it's close to a few diners, shops, etc. etc.  I wouldn't stay here again.

This is a great pared-down space to crash for several days while visiting family in South Florida.  We selected this location since it was fairly central to all the relatives, it was fairly inexpensive (via a deal on the Internet); and the website indicated that all rooms had been recently renovated.

Extended Stay focuses on business travelers who need a space for longer stays and the rooms are more like little studios - complete with a full kitchen, sitting area, a desk, and ample closet and drawer/ dresser space.  I'd venture to say that our room was comparable in size to many studios in San Francisco.

WiFi internet access is available for a one-time charge of $4.99 during your stay, but a downside is that you need to re-log in via the hotel's intranet site every day.  We were not charged for Internet access and you need to obtain a passcode from the front desk.

The staff is very helpful and very accommodating - they happily switched the times of our stay around  without penalizing us and were quick to fix a clogged toilet at our request.

A catch at Extended Stay is that you'll get maid service only about once a week if you stay for 7 days or longer.  If you need fresh towels, you'll need to ask at the front desk.  Though our stay was only for 6 days, we received a surprise "Refresh" service where they made our bed and provided us with fresh towels on X'mas day.   Also - your standard hotel amenities - like shampoo, lotion, toothbrushes, hairdryer, etc., are not provided in-room, but available for free at the front desk.  We did get soap in the bathroom, though, as well as plenty of towels, kleenex and extra toilet paper.

These policies are all clearly spelled out on their website -- so this was not a surprise.

Also - they're pet friendly (for an additional fee)! If we ever work up the courage to bring our puppy along via plane, we'll be able to house her here.

I am writing this review from my room at the Extended Stay Deluxe Fort Lauderdale Cypress Creek.

I got an awesome rate on Hotwire and was surprised to find out that the hotel is comprised of suites that include a full kitchen. My room has a good sized foyer, a large closet with double mirror doors, a large bathroom, desk with two chairs, sofa, coffee table, recliner chair, three end tables and other furniture.

The flat screen TV swivels so that you can see it from the bed or any seating area.

The kitchen has a lot of counter space, a full sized refrigerator and freezer, a sink, a counter with two stools, an electric range with oven and a microwave.

The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. The Internet is $4.99 for your stay and a little slow. Upon logging in there is an option to upgrade to faster services but I opted against this. It's fast enough for simple web browsing but not much more.

There is a small pool that has bathrooms, outdoor shower, lounge chairs, etc.

All in all, this is a good place and I'd stay here again.

This was an awful experience. Aged and decaying facility, rooms, furnishings, fixtures. Smelly carpet. No hot water 3 mornings in a row. Free breakfast?, the coffee was tolerable, but that's about it. Cockroaches, ants. Not even bad shampoo in the bath. Oh and the freeway noise on the backside - I hope you have a serious hearing loss.

I got a deal at priceline to stay here for 18 days,I couldn't see the deal yet but I chose the option to get a hotel that comes with, free wifi & free breakfast and when I checked out they told me it was this hotel,I got excited because I saw that they had full kitchens, and especially for the price I was getting and because of the fact that I was going to stay there for so long, upon entering the place I saw that they had a fairly small lobby, and the lady informed us that the small table next to the register area is where breakfast will be held,it's pretty much not the break feast I was expecting it's just to go stuff nothing that can really fill you up,anyways overall it felt comfortable and homey so 4 stars.

Cons:you have to take out your own trash, and your own towels, room service is only once a week, we got woken up around 6 because of the fire alarm, the front desk lady was informative about why the fire alarm went off, but we did not get an apology.

I had stayed in this location before and have always enjoyed my stay.
I hate to say it but things are not the same.  Upon arrival I noticed the front desk and lobby area were dirty. Stacks of toilet paper stored right behind the front desk . It took longer than usual to check in because the gentleman taking care of me kept on answering the phone to deal with other issues.
As I finally headed to my room,  l noticed the rugs were filthy. The elevator floor tile had lost its shine and the elevator's door had hand prints and names /words carved right into the metal.  As I got off the elevator, the carpet was stained and it looked old and dirty.
When I got to my room there was a funky smell. There was actually an air cleaner running to get rid of the smell. I headed right back to the front desk and requested a room change (first time I ever do this).
They were very apologetic and gave me a new room. My second room was larger and no smells. Unfortunately the bathroom lighting was pittiful, the curtains had holes. The couch in the room looked so dirty and stained as if it had been picked up from the curve. .or maybe a crime scene...yes! That bad!!! I am usually easy to please, but this time all seemed wrong. After staring at the couch for a while I decided that this place was no longer for me. Then I started thinking about bed bugs...but not to worry, those critters did not exist.
I had to do it! I cancelled the rest of my 3 days in here. ..They were very apologeyic again and gave no hassle...Actually the staff is very, very nice!
I did stayed the night....after all it was already after 10 pm.
I booked another hotel right away...
I hate to write such a bad review...but this hotel needs a huge upgrade and definively new management.

I stayed for 22 days ...was nice and decent I cooked a 4 or 5 meals ...which was nice..the stuff was always nice. The only complain was the breakfast.  They should replace whatever until 9:00 am

The breakfast is a joke... they serve between 6:30 and 9:00 but at 7 the only thing you find is coffee they don't replace anything. ... I don't know but the breakfast is ridiculous only coffee and sometimes a horrible muffin.
