    We arrived at FLL airport after midnight, so we called for the shuttle bus. We waited about 20 minutes, but it was complimentary. The night staff was helpful. We were upgraded to a suite. The free breakfast was continental style and it was very crowded, but ok. This hotel is nicely appointed and clean. There is a shuttle to the cruise terminal for $8. Great place to stay before/after a cruise. Definitely worth my $79/night.

    Very disappointed by this Fairfield Inn.  My fiance and I were ignored when we first entered the hotel.  It took Rochelle (the woman at the reservation desk) well over 5 minutes to help us with checking in.  Even though I had a reservation, took time to call the day prior to ensure that we would have a refrigerator and microwave in our reserved room (as we have food restrictions) and received verification that it would not be a problem to provide us with both a fridge and microwave, she RUDELY made the rationale that an employee who is not properly trained answered the phone and provided the incorrect information to us.  As a result, she "checked" with someone in the back to see if there was anything that could be done.  Came back about 10 minutes later and unemotionally apologized to us that there would not be a microwave but we could upgrade to a suite for a charge if we wanted it.  She also attempted to be accommodating by taking back her previous statement of saying that they do not have refrigerators that can be placed in rooms and then decided magically that they could place a refrigerator in our room.  Contradicting and terribly trained, unprofessional staff.  I am so disappointed by this hotel and have been a loyal marriot consumer for quite some time now.  Will definitely spread the word about this poorly run establishment.

    Nice, New format Marriott property.  Good value especially in the off season.  My fave place to stay when in the area.  My only gripe is that is not that close to many restaurants.  Maybe I'm just not sure where they are...

    The rooms were smaller than my room on the cruise ship!!!
    But:

    For that area=A+ for VALUE!

    Ok. Let's just say, never ever ever again. I travel 3-5 days a week and travel all of FL. This hotel was just not worth the $155/night. I waited (as a honors member) for over an hour to be checked in because there was only one front desk attendant working. There was almost a line out the door because a flight had given vouchers to travelers to stay at the hotel because of a flight cancellation. Some of those travelers were people on vacation from the cruise who were screaming profanity and being totally inappropriate while they were drinking in the lobby and heavily intoxicated. The hotel staff did nothing about that. The coffee was cold downstairs BOTH times I went to get it (on different days). The hotel room was not up to cleaning standards I expect. There is NO parking!!!! They let cruise travelers leave their cars here, it's ridiculous. Not to mention unsafe when having to park in a different lot, in the not so great neighborhood. I mean, it's a Marriott and $155/night, should be better than this.
    Don't waste your money or time.

    Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Lent me a phone charger, and the shuttle service is easy and quick. A/C worked fine, room clean, bathroom clean. All good!

    What a terrific hotel! Super value for the money. So glad I stayed here for a few nights while on business. As with most of the hotels in the Marriot chain they have been redesigned with the business traveler in mind and have hot a homer run here. Super contemporary lobby with cool lime green and earth tone colors, funky furniture, bright dining area with complimentary continental breakfast, 24 hour free coffee, free parking, nice pool, and free wifi throughout.

    Rooms also have this updated decor and color scheme. Nice comfy bed, flat screen tv, clean updated bathroom, nice soaps, work desk area, etc. Rooms are not gigantic by no means, but more than big enough if just staying a night or two. Plus, this is a great location for those going on a cruise and need a place to stay for the night. Free breakfast in the morning is always a plus too! Close to I95 and only a few minutes from downtown Hollywood where there are some really great restaurants and bars.

    Front desk staff is one of the most courteous and helpful I have encountered. Also, I always do the check and it was bed bug free!

    The hotel is very nice.  Rooms are clean, but I'm not a big fan of the layout of the rooms.  They placed a 2 piece coffee table in the middle of the narrow walkway from  the couch area to the bed.  The breakfast is nicely appointed with your basic breakfast treats.  My only 2 major gripes are.

    1.  The gym area never had a fresh supply of towels and no sanitary wipes were provided to wipe down the machines b4 or after exercise, YUCK!!
    2.  The coffee was always almost empty in the morning during breakfast, and cold during the afternoons.

    I stayed here for one night with my family since they had free shuttles going to/from the airport and cruise lines.

    The room we were in was suitable for our party of 6: Two TVs, Two queen beds and a sofa bed. Our room didn't come with extra sheets or pillows for the sofa bed so we called room service. To our surprise they accused us for not looking hard enough and that we didn't need extra pillows. After a few calls of telling them our room didn't have extra sheets, they finally sent someone to deliver us the sheets and that person had the nerve to demand a tip from my dad.

    The Inn also comes with a pool/hot (which was nice to relax in after my flight), a decent gym, and continental breakfast (which was limited).

    If anything, its ok to stay here for a night if you're planning to catch a cruise but I don't recommend staying here longer than that.

    Worst hotel we ever stayed in. Service is awful. Hotel is 11 minutes from the airport but took their shuttle an hour and a half to pick us up. 5th bed was not ready when we checked in. Took another 40 minutes to get the bed. Staff at front desk provides different versions (shuttle stuck in traffic, shuttle never left, shuttle left) Will never stay here again.

    The Hotel itself was fine. Rooms are a little small but beds are very comfortable. We had an early flight so we left before breakfast was served.  

    The problem is there was NO parking available. The hotel allows people to leave cars while they are on a vacation or cruise so there is no parking available for guests. Even the grassy areas were occupied by cars. After driving around for a while I ended up parking my rental car illegally in a fire lane (along with many other guests) and hoping it wouldn't get towed or damaged by people backing out.
    I have stayed in many Marriott property's and never seen anything like this. It is not fair to guests. It is also not fair to staff at that the desk who have to deal with  the irate guests, and I saw many the brief time I was there, who cant find a place to park.

    It is definitely not what I expected from a Marriott hotel and I will not return.

    Great staff! Clean hotel. Location is very convenient for getting around the area. I have well over 100 Marriott stays this year and I have decided to stay here when I visit this area.  Note: busy hotel due to the airport and cruise ships.   Staff handles very well...

    Picked us up from the airport for free and only had to wait about 10 minutes. Once there it took about 2 minutes to check in. The shuttle took us to dinner (they give you a list of places it will take you to for free) and we had to call to get picked up. We waited about 2 minutes and the shuttle arrived. The room was clean and comfortable with free WIFI. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast and they had flavored coffee cream which I always use. The shuttle picks up on the hour every hour to take you back to the airport. Great place if you want to stay close to the airport.

    I have mixed feelings about this place.

    Price - A room for under $100 a night... sounds good to me!
    Location - The location is great. Right next to the airport, Hard Rock and major highways.

    Cleanliness - I really felt like housekeeping cut corners when cleaning. I am a very particular person and this place didn't meet my expectations. The shower curtain had stains on it and the head board had grease stains. There were a few stains on the wall in the bathroom that I wiped out because it grossed me out. We went to the beach one day and some sand got on the floor. When housekeeping cleaned, we came back and realized that they didn't even vacuum or take out the trash.

    Noise - The AC in my room was so extremely loud that it would wake me up. I ended up turning my AC to 78/79 degrees just so it wouldn't cut on so frequently.

    Maybe I just got a not so great room with not so great housekeepers. I am on the fence regarding whether I would stay here again.

    This was actually our second stay here. Both time the rooms have been clean as well as the staff was courteous. The price was ok. I'm sure we could have found something cheaper, but the shuttle service to the port is really good.
    Breakfast was tasty as a hotel breakfast can be, with decent variety.
    I had an issue with the room charges upon checking in. I tried to resolve then, but it was so busy that I waited until the next morning, early, and the overnight clerk happily took care of it.
    The only downside is that if you are not familiar with this area, as we were not, wait until a little later in the evening to venture out to get something to eat. Traffic was terrible.

    Short pleasant stay here. Hotel front desk staff were cheerful and helpful, hotel and room were very clean. The housekeeping staff works hard at this hotel and it shows. Had a ground floor room right off the lobby #130, and heard no footfalls or hallway noise at all. A nice loud A/C unit may have helped with that, but even when it wasn't running, the room was quiet and I slept great.
    Free coffee in lobby was very nice as I came and went over my two days here, the free breakfast was the usual Fairfield fare, fresh and quick to grab before facing the day. I and some who stayed at the Residence Inn across the road used the shuttle service to and from a nearby restaurant, and it was very convenient! I wish I had thought in advance to use it for transport from the airport when I arrived, but oh well.
    I would stay here again for sure, I visited friends at the Residence Inn across the intersection and it was somewhat 'fancier', but the savings and the staff at this Fairfield make it a repeat choice for me.
