    DO NOT PARK HERE

I stayed here on two occasions and left my car parked in the lot (a "service" they offer  the cruise ship passengers comprising many of the guests), and my car was broken into--my work bag and center console dumped all over the car sometime during my absence. When I told the front desk, they said they couldn't take a report because the forms were locked in the manager's office. When the manager finally contacted me, he said I must have the wrong hotel because he hadn't heard of a break-in reported in months. In addition to this, the room doors often do not close properly--the dead bolts stick and the doors don't shut fully. I asked to change rooms my first night there because of this and they treated me like I didn't know how to operate a door. This place is a serious crime waiting to happen. Oh, and to cap it off, the snarky shuttle driver made me and my elderly mother with breathing difficulties run all over the cruise terminal when we requested a pick-up. I literally had to stand in front of the van to make it stop, as did other guests we spoke with. When we finally got in the van, the driver had obviously been bad mouthing us to the other passengers. Totally rude and unprofessional, but not surprising given everything else.

Decent place to stay if you're in town on business.  This Hampton Inn has a nice 24hr. workout room with a weight machine & a Precor.  Parking is in a tall garage attached to the hotel, and you're right in downtown Ft. Lauderdale at this location.

Be advised to get a non-smoking room, we had to trade out of one, and got put into a wheelchair accessible room as that was all they had left.  Don't know how much attention to detail the cleaning crew has, but one of the towels was a bit suspect, and there was a long blonde hair hanging from the overhead light in the bathroom.

This was an ideal location for our purposes.  We were taking a cruise the next day, and this place has free shuttle service to both the airport and the cruise port.  The free breakfast was pretty good as well.

For $180/night you'd think they'd know how to run this cruise shuttle a little more efficiently.

Our Brevard videographer needed a place to park our box truck that he could watch from a room. No problem. That lady at the desk said no big deal. Not every hotel does this. Highly recommend. Also when our Brevard video crew arrived at the airport, the shuttle went to get them in a few minutes.

I recently stayed here on the 6th of March 2013 prior to a cruise because of other reviews I have read about this Hampton Inn.  The building's interior design is not the standard Hampton, but it has everything I have grown to know about this Hilton chain.

Of course, I constantly called to make sure there was a shuttle to the cruise port, which was a reason why I wanted to stay here.  The employee over the phone said yes and it is complimentary...even better!!  I have seen that the manager responded to reviews on other sites.  Once I got to Ft Lauderdale I called for the complimentary shuttle to the hotel after verifying my reservation; just to warn you it does take about 20 minutes for them to come from the hotel which I was fine with...the walk to the shuttle stop took about 5 minutes with our bags.  They said it was a shuttle with pink flamingos on it.  Of course I thought it was painted on, but they were also plastic ones on the roof.  This made it easy to identify the right Hampton shuttle or shuttle in general from the front at night.  The driver was friendly and helped with the bags.

Once we got to the hotel they were quick to check us in; typical good Hampton service.  I think it was a manger, but he recommended this good place to eat nearby in the strip mall next door called 84 Thai Food.  It was a good place, and I would eat there again on my next cruise.  At check in they reserve your spot on the cruise shuttle by ship and time; it was nice they automatically asked just in case.

The next morning the same manager was there and remembered my name for check out...never had that happen before.  They also had staplers out ready for cruise passengers to attach their cruise luggage tags...that was great because I was about to ask after getting downstairs.  The only negative I saw was the space in the lobby for breakfast...it is kind of small and I almost had to eat in my room because there were so many people during most of the breakfast time.  It is the standard Hampton Inn breakfast...they did also have guava juice in addition to the orange juice if you want that instead.  For the shuttle, get downstairs about 10-15 minutes before.

This Hampton is a little more than I normally spend at other Hampton's, but to be stress free before the cruise was great.  I would definitely stay here again.

Okay, but not the best in this chain. Weak free breakfast and I wonder who did the crappy plaster work and color scheme. On the up side: GREAT showers, good bed and clean room. Would likely stay again.

Compared to some hotel brands--Holiday Inn, etc--this is probably an upgrade.  But compared to other places I've stayed in the Hampton/Hilton family, this one was a little on the run down side.  The shower was actually not totally clean.  The parking lot held about 3 inches of water when it rained, making it impossible to find a parking spot where you wouldn't have to go for a wade every time you wanted to get your vehicle.

You still have the comfortable bed and friendly service you'd expect from this chain...it was just not on par with some of their other locations.

Not very customer friendly.....Reasonable price but not very happy front desk people.. They seemed like they had to work at it really hard to get a smile to greet you... Very sad. A positive aspect is that they shuttle you free from the airport and then bring you to the cruise terminal in the morning. Hotel is definitely worn out from the 70's.

Nice room.  This is a great place to stay if you are staying a night or two before a cruise.  Clean, spacious and tiddy.  A tip though, don't let the staff call you a cab...or if you do make sure you tell them to call a meter cab.  They called is us a gypsy cab and we were stuck with a GIANT D-BAG loudmouth who overcharged us and wouldn't shut up about how great he was. It's a short cab ride to the beach...about 7-10 mins.  15 bucks in a meter cab.  FYI

Oh and the shuttle service is great. (Driver was super cool)  The shuttle will take you to the cruise port and the airport.  They will not take you to the beach. (thus my ramblings ^)

Free shuttle from FLL to hotel which took about 25 including wait. Free breakfast free shuttle to cruise ship. (Of course we gave tips) Rooms very clean. Staff friendly. Will stay here again. No glitches unlike our previous stays at crown plaza which is nearby and doesn't offer free shuttle to ships. Also Hampton Inn directly across strip mall which was convenient.

Ordered a room with a king & pull out. I had to make my own bed with the bedding in the closet and there was no pillow for the pull out. We called down for a pillow & the hotel was out of pillows. You'd think that they would've put an extra pillow with the bedding in the closet or an abundance of pillows in the hotels.

I am actually writing this review for my mother, who recently stayed at the hotel before departing for her cruise.

She arrived late in the afternoon and called the hotel from the airport to arrange the complimentary airport shuttle, which had actually just left the airport full. The hotel informed her that the driver would be right back for them after dropping the passengers off. No big deal, great value considering not having to pay for a taxi/shuttle.

When they arrived at the hotel she learned that food options were somewhat limited, however the hotel shuttle does offer to take guests to area restaurants, awesome deal. They declined and decided to walk to the nearby Big Lots and Winn Dixie (local supermarket) to pickup some last minute items for the cruise. She mentioned that there was also a liquor store in the same plaza, so if you are flying in and wanting to take wine or other items on board its a great option to have so close.

Anyways she said that the staff was courteous, service was great. And the morning of the cruise the hotel extended a late checkout at no charge and scheduled a time for the complimentary shuttle to take them to the cruise port.

I almost forgot to mention in addition to the shuttle service the hotel also offers free wifi and a complimentary breakfast buffet, which was great to grab a light meal before waiting to board the ship.

Overall this hotel is a great value if you are flying in a day early before leaving for a cruise, prices were reasonable for the area. However be advised this is an airport hotel and are pretty much surrounded by retail and commercial. You are about half way between the airport and cruise terminal, however if you are just wanting to arrive early so you are refreshed the next morning before your cruise this is an excellent value.

I think this is the one we stayed at. LOL. Please forgive me for not knowing. It's been a crazy week, and we only stayed in Fort Lauderdale for one night.

Anyway, so we stayed at this small inn, and it was okay. It wasn't anything fancy but it did just nicely for what it was. It had a TV, which is good and it had a nice big bathroom, which is necessary for a family of 4.

I felt like this Inn wasn't as fancy as the one in Key West, but then again, that one did cost around $240 a night. Which is slightly insane if you ask me. But they had everything you need to be comfortable.

My brother noticed that they had a Nintendo controller, but he wasn't sure what it attached to. Haha.

My family stayed at the Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport North Cruise Port after a Caribbean Cruise. We decided to stay here so we didn't have to fly home the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We got there very early, but the hotel let us enjoy the complimentary breakfast and free fast wi-fi in the nicely appointed lobby until our rooms were ready. My wife and I even went out and sat by the pool for awhile. It seems the vast majority of guests here are either leaving or returning from cruises since it's only about 10 minutes from the cruise port. A lot of people showed up in the hotel early, so it started to get crowded, and the hotel didn't have a designated place for luggage so they just packed it all into the staff office. The rooms were nice and clean. We walked over to Slackers for lunch and loved it so much we went back for dinner that evening. My wife got in a workout at the fitness center and I was able to print our boarding passes at the free computer and printer in the lobby - a great convenience! The next day, we took the free airport shuttle about 15 minutes to FLL International Airport and had a great conversation with another couple that were also on their way home from a cruise.

This is a Hampton Inn that sees the majority of their traffic every weekend from cruisers.  My expectation were not very high given that information but these guys blew me away.  For starters, they have multiple airport shuttles so you're never stuck waiting at the airport for a long time to get to the hotel.  Next, we arrive for check-in on a Saturday evening and the GM is there to check us in!  Seriously, the GM working on a Saturday?  That's dedication!  Our room was average, nothing to write home about but it was clean, the staff was friendly, and they have a free shuttle to the cruise port in the mornings.  We will definitely be back to this hotel!

You have got to be kidding me!! We had to leave the Hampton Inn Plantation because they messed up our airport transfer. So we moved to the Hampton Inn North Airport. They were more expensive, but promised a 24 hour shuttle. The shuttle left without us. After having a fit in the lobby the lady called us a cab and they paid for it. While we were waiting, a cockroach crawled across the floor in the breakfast area. I tried to take a picture of it, but a staff member ran over and stepped on it. It was a rough way to start the morning after a bad day at the other hotel.

Good hotel. Good price. A good distance away to to cruise ships. Most of the guest there are there to go on the cruises. They also have a bus that takes you to and from the cruise. The room was a lot nicer then I had expected. Truth is I was expecting it to be a motel but it accommodated my family and I quite well. Free breakfast daily. And high speed wifi included.

It's ok for a night stay. The showers are a little dated w/a cheap fixed shower head. I prefer a hand held attached to a hose. Two shuttles available for airport or cruise terminal drop off. Conveniently close to a 24hr Dunkin Donuts, Winn Dixie, Sports Bar, Chinese take-out & pizza delivery. Only one computer and printer for their business office to print boarding passes. Their free wifi is a little slow, but you can upgrade to premium speed.

I am actually perplexed by some of the other reviews.  My only complaint was how long it took to get the free transfer to the hotel.  But that seems to be an issue with all free shuttles from the airport to the hotel.
I found the staff to be friendly and helpful.  The room decor was dated, but I found everything to be in good working order and clean.
The complementary breakfast included waffles, eggs, cereal, muffins....  It was good, not fancy but good.
They also offered a complimentary shuttle to the cruise dock.
Overall, I think I have finally found the place that I will consistently use for cruising from Fort Lauderdale.  If you are looking for something very upscale, this is not the Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons.  But if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to spend the evening prior to your cruise, I would highly recommend this place.

This hotel has stood the test of time with us. We've stayed here so many times that it feels not only like home but the wonderful staff feels like family!  Raquel will hover over you like a mother hen while eating the complimentary and VERY adequate breakfast. Manager David and his assistant, Elaine, have a hands-on approach treating every guest as a VIP. Sunati, Lilly and others behind the desk assure a smooth arrival and departure most commonly from the airport and cruise terminal. We are sticklers for cleanliness which is why we pick only Hampton Inns. Needless to say, we sleep soundly in spotless bedding and surroundings. By the way, we frequent the little Thai restaurant in the strip mall adjacent to the hotel every day of every stay. Food is excellent! You'll also find fun stores to shop in while you are killing time.

There are lots of hotel choices  in Ft. Lauderdale (3 on just this block)! We wouldn't stay in any other place as we've never been disappointed. The price is dependent on the season. It is certainly competitive to any other hotels in the area in the same category.

They now charge 6 dollars pp for shuttle to ship which has been complimentary in the past.  But the quality has gone down in the rooms? Bathtub is worn and looks dirty. Forget about taking a bath but slipping in the shower? My friend yelled out when in the shower almost went down since there is no bath mat and the bottom is worn down ..see pic.  Water damage on wall. See pic. The manager at the desk at check in? The young lady Katherine  I think? Was very sweet but the older man ..no smile and just a blunt explanation of the new charge. This isn't the Ritz Mr manager so please don't  act so stuffy..smile and have fun your guests are on vacation. We will be staying elsewhere next year after the last five years here.

Property is comfortable and at Hilton standards, there's a free hot breakfast... Breakfast line up is pretty extensive especially for being free.... oatmeal with the fixings, Sausage, Scramble eggs (Eggs are not real and can use real eggs ...., one day there were French toast sticks, Belgium waffles... You make your own! maker is great (tip: add some of the brown sugar from the oatmeal section into the batter), Cereals, yogurt, fruits, juice (assorted).... Coffee & Tea available complimentary 24/7..... "Coffee/tea" bar setup in the lobby.

I stayed two nights at this Hampton Inn in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 4/23/2015 and 4/24/2015.  In fact it's the 3rd straight year that I've stayed here.  Location, location, location - a great place to stay prior to taking cruises out of the nearby port.  In addition, the Hampton has a helpful and friendly staff led by friend David Blevins a wonderful manager.  Plus, I took photos.

I am writing this review with regret, but my experience must be stated. I travel for a living spending more time on the road then at home and frequent Hilton Hotels by choice. I stayed at this Hampton Inn as a guest of a friend who was in town for spring break. One night during that stay I went downstairs and bought a snack and water from the pantry for $9.00. The next morning I woke up to find a charge of $15.00 and another for $44.00 on my credit card. I went to the front desk to ask why I was charged these amounts and the clerk had a difficult time understanding herself, so the auditor came out and explained that they had charged my card for "incidentals" even though I hadn't booked the room and it would be returned in 1-2 business days.
A week later when it wasn't returned I contacted the hotel and asked to speak to a manager. The front desk clerk said there was no manager which is surprising, but I came to realize he really meant there is a lack of skilled management. I asked him to have a manager call me when one is available and after four hours of waiting I called Hilton Customer Service. I explained my situation and the young man called the hotel and said it would be rectified and then transferred me to the hotel in which I spoke with a "shift manager" she explained that it was my credit card company's fault that I hadn't received the money and that she would call my bank for me, asking to place me on a bring hold. The line disconnected and thinking this was a mistake I immediately called back and asked for her by name and the front desk said she had left!!! I guess she was going to drive to my credit card company?
I was feeling s little frustrated and called the Hilton Customer Service back, they took my information and said they would pass it on. Not sure to whom or where it would be passed on to, I asked for the name and email of the General Manager of this location. I then emailed a Mr.Craig Park and asked that he contact me regarding issues with his staff, because at this point it really wasn't about the $50.00 any longer it was about his poorly trained staff. I was called then by a "acting manager on duty" which translates to front desk clerk. I said I needed to speak to Mr.Park and she said he wasn't available to speak to paying guests and I should talk to her, I declined. I again wrote to Mr.Park asking that he contact me at his convince and after a week I received no call, and no email. So I contacted his boss a Mr. Bernie Wolfson District Manager for this franchise group. Mr. Wolfson seemed genuinely concerned and could' explain why Mr.Park was afraid to call me. He also said that he would resolve the matter and have Mr.Park contact me. It has been 23 days and I finally received a refund but no phone call or email from Mr.Craig Park GM for Hampton Inn downtown. Fort Lauderdale.
In my experience Hilton a Hotels and their brands such as Hampton Inn, pride themselves on customer service and quality. This location from top to bottom obviously does not and should be avoided unless you don't mind dealing with an incompetent staff.

This is an average Hampton Inn. It's in a good location with relation to the beach. (only about 3 miles from the beach) there is a strip mall with a grocery store across the street which you can walk to in about 2 minutes. Can to beach is about $20. Much better option than the All Star transport company ($40).

The staff are the real shining stars here. Lilly at the front desk and the assistant GM Kim are two of the best customer service folks I've encountered at any Hilton property (I'm a Diamond Hilton Honors member). Everyone there seemed happy to be there doing their jobs. Great stay.
