We visited this Hotel about a year ago and loved it so much we are going back again in a couple of weeks.
Before visiting this hotel I read a bunch of reviews so the 30.00 a day valet was to be expected. Because we got there at around 8am, we had no issue finding seats.
I can't say enough good things about the staff , they really set this hotel apart from the others. The pool attendants and activities coordinator were all very friendly, helpful, and engaging. The employees working the Front Desk always said hi, and the concierge was great.
Last year we booked the Studio Suite with a Kitchenette, it was a fine room with a great view. The only disadvantage are the thin walls. If you are going for a romantic weekend, you should know this.  We spent most of the mornings to late afternoons sitting by the pool. I noticed the Oceanfront Rooms had wrap around balconies, therefore we booked an Oceanfront One Bedroom suite for our upcoming return.  If you want to cut down on costs, visit the Whole Foods about 5 minutes away, and stock up on food. There is also a liquor store in that same shopping center.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

I live in Fort Lauderdale, so I am not familiar with the rooms.  The restaurant, however, is very good.  The views are great, the service is excellent service and the 3000 calorie lobster bisque is the best in Fort Lauderdale.

This hotel is beautiful and located on a quieter part of Ft.Lauderdale Beach. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with an ocean view. The room was very big with a full kitchen, half bath, dual vanities, and seperate living room and bedroom. The balcony had a great view of both the beach and downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Our balcony wrapped around from the bedroom to the living area. We ate at the restaurant by the pool twice and it was great both times. I had the breakfast buffet and a strip steak for dinner. The service by the pool was kind of slow when it came to drinks, food, etc. The hotel was also within walking distance of nightclubs, shops, bars, etc.

Just returned from 3 nights at this hotel.  We had a room with an ocean view but not oceanfront.  Still liked it a lot.  The room had a fridge and small stove, microwave and coffeemaker.   The balcony was a nice size with two chairs but no table.
My favorite feature of this hotel is the pool which overlooks the ocean and has some shade.    It's a huge pool, with two hot tubs and outdoor shower.  The workout facility is adequate and there isn't an extra charge to use it.
I do not recommend the Ilios restaurant in the hotel.   The best place to eat is Coconuts which is about 12 blocks away.
There is a city bus right outside the hotel which goes up and down the beach.

The service here is awesome, the location is incredible.   My daughter and I walked to the beach, shopped all the local shops and enjoyed the beach.    We used the pool and spa the other guests were fun and we very much enjoyed our stay.

I am not a special member of any clubs but am currently staying at the Hilton resort. We are blown away by the outstanding service provided by everyone here! We never stay in resorts because of feeling trapped. Well you can trap me here anytime. Special kudos to the pool crew with Syviana, front desk with Kathryn Dressler at concierge and Nick and Tatiana in "ilios".

Keep up  the great work. We don't want to leave.

Opened in January 2007, this new Hilton is a beautiful property.  Rooms are modern, service is very helpful and friendly.  Food was a bit on the expensive side, even for a hotel.  Right on the beach.  I believe there is a spa as well although I didn't check it out.  Very reasonable rates!

We have found the place we are going to stay on business in the area!

My husband and I stayed here last summer for a vacation away from the kids. It was absolutely perfect. We had a one bedroom ocean front suite with a large balcony. The rates were surprisingly reasonable. We liked the hotel so much that we may come back this summer. Highly recommend.

Was here with some guy friends.  Supposed to get a 1bdr suite with two queen beds, but they downgraded us and never credited me.  With that said, I hear they overbook all suites.  Lesson: get there as early as you can...noon, the latest.

The suite we has was on the back corner of the 17th floor - decent room, but great/great balcony (the highlight of the place).  Our view was a bit of the beach, the side of the W hotel and downtown Ft. Lauderdale.  The suite had a kitchen, huge bath, and a nanny/ mother-in-law room that connects to the suite and private hallway and is avail for $125+ (neat set-up and recommended if you need the extra room for nanny).

W Hotel is right next door.  It is huge and awesome looking, but over the top for me.  It seems if you get the back building there, you would have to spend 10-20 minutes to get out.  If I had to choose a place there again and had extra dollars, I would go to the Ritz.  It is close to all the action and just the best in luxury.  This Hilton is not a bad choice, but it is far from the action and it is not amazing (with exception to suite balcony).

This Hilton is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
We stayed in an ocean front suite on this occasion. The corner unit has tons of full length window/sliders. Large living room, decent bedroom with a huge bathroom (with a nice ocean view as well). Then there is the full size kitchen, a second large full bath, and a hallway to enter from, so you don't have to listen to others in the main hallway. I definitely recommend requesting the one bedroom ocean front suite. Make sure that you get the 10th floor or higher though. We were on the 8th floor, and the pool is located on the 6th, so you are just above the pool area. Still had a great view of the ocean and boardwalk, since we were on the corner unit. And, being on the corner, we had this huge wrap around balcony that was worth the price of admission any day. Go to their website and check out the photo tour pics. You'll get it.
The service was very prompt and friendly all the way around. My only complaint would be the $30+tax per day parking fee. There is no other place to park, so you are pretty much forced to pay. And, of course, you have to add the buck or two each time the valets get your car. It adds up pretty quick.

Just got back from a week at this resort.

Overall it is a great place to stay... as a few people have mentioned in other reviews the staff was outstanding... From my arrival and first interaction with valet attendant I was quite impressed with how personable and genuine the staff was. They are there for your every need, greet you, acknowledge you...they are eager to make you feel welcomed and comfortable.

Everyone from the staff was friendly. I already mentioned the valet attendants but the staff in the reception desk, staff at cafe bar and the restaurant as well as the pool was simply the best!!

I liked my room, particularly the bed...it was heavenly...So comfortable...the lay out of the room was a bit awkward yet it was comfortable.

There are two reasons I did not give this resort 5 stars... One being the pool area which I found too small and a bit crowded for my taste and the other is the fact that there were way too many families with children and being single this just did not suit me that well. I can stand children for a while but not for an entire day...Having said that I liked the place a lot and highly recommend it as it is right in front of the ocean and walking distance from all kinds of fun places (restaurants, bars, nature preserve, etc.). Prices are reasonable for the experience you get.

I would like to say that the front desk staff was accommodating and the housekeeping even more.I checked in and was given a room on the 6th floor and the guy at the front desk made it seem like it was a great floor to be on. ABSOLUTELY not, the pool is their with tons of kids running in and out all day,and the room was tiny double door entrance leading into 2 separate rooms, I went back downstairs and told them I was unhappy with my room and I got an upgrade for 40$ per night which with taxes came to 319$. Second room was better but for almost 300$ a night I feel I could have done better, the view was amazing though, maybe I was expecting to much but for another 100$ a night I can go stay at the ritz Carlton down a couple of blocks. I left this hotel with mixed feelings. I almost forgot to mention the restaurant call sun surf and wind was amazing,I ate there 5 nights, if I ever go back to Fort Lauderdale I definitely will revisit the restaurant but I think I'll pass on the hotel. Sorry

    1. Wi-fi - okay. Had to stand in the middle of the room to get a connection.
    2. Room quality - Bathroom was very nice with separate tub and shower. My wife loved the rainforest shower head which had huge water pressure as did the faucets - the best I've ever seen at a hotel. The room itself was kind of cramped and our queen bed was definitely a full.
    3. Service - everyone was friendly and attentive. A few times I had to call down twice for something because the person forget to make my request happen.
    4. Location - great location across from the beach.
    5. Food / Restaurants - breakfast is fantastic for either full buffet or continental. Little shots of smoothie or acai juice waiting for you at the front. Really expensive starbucks ($4.25 for an americano!).
    5. Extras - Outrageous parking fees - $39 or so a day + tipping every time you take your car out. This felt like highway robbery. Also - charging a 500% mark-up on alcohol is taking it a little too far. I'm not paying $50 for a bottle of Korbel, sorry. The pool was absolutely freezing somehow (at least to someone from Texas) which might be seen as a positive or a negative depending on your mindset.

They only have 4 elevators for a 25 story hotel. Long wait times and big crowds waiting to get on.

We came here for a work retreat and I was pleasantly surprised! My coworker and I showed up early and they told us to come back in an hour, not a problem because they held our luggage for us. We came back after lunch and our room was ready. Little did we know that they gave us an upgrade for being so early! We were upgraded to a ridiculous suite! It was bigger than my hotel room in Las Vegas. There was a full kitchen, living room, another room with two queen beds, and a huge bathroom. The shower was great! We also had a great view of the ocean and wrap around balcony.

We spent the whole next day by the pool. The restaurant by the pool was decent and the beverage runners and service around the pool was great. They handed out free frozen strawberry sorbet and iced water with lemon. It was really nice! Too bad we only stayed here for one night! A weekend here would be perfect! It is further away from the crazy part of the beach...so it is quiet and peaceful.

$200 a night plus $32 for parking for a room that reeked of smoke and a hotel that does not offer complimentary breakfast.  We asked if we could self park our car and were told "no."  Imagine my joy at discovering literally hundreds of on-street parking spaces within half a block of the hotel (during off season).  And one more thing--it's not really on the beach.  Like all of the other hotels in the area, it is across a busy street from the beach.

The views from our balcony were unbeatable!  That alone is good enough for 3 of the 5 stars total; the other two star come from the service.  The staff at the hotel were incredibly nice, if not overly polite!

If not renting a car, the hotel is a fairly short walk to the most popular bars/restaurants, yet far enough away to be quite when its time to relax for the night.

Only complaint is it cost us $31 to park your car.  There are metered parking spaces across the street (though not many) but the maximum time is 4 hours--not really going to work if staying overnight.  That being said, valet attendants were great and were willing to leave our car upfront when just stopping by our room to change/grab something.

Decent happy hour at the bar by the pool.  Decent coffee shop in the hotel as well.  Wi-Fi is $15 per day, which I was surprised wasn't included at this nice of a hotel, but if you are in the coffee shop, it is free.

Very, very nice.  Great staff, unbeatable ocean views, great rooms with more amenities that most will need!

I really enjoyed staying at The Hilton. The pool area was great. The suite we stayed in was beautiful. In Fort Lauderdale I would suggest staying at The Atlantic but if that is not possible stay here. It is close to the nightlife and restaurants. When we stayed here it was a little difficult to get a seat by the pool so get down there early!

There's a reason this hotel just received the AAA Four Diamond Award, it's one of 1224 4 Diamond Award winners for 2009.

The rooms are above average, the pool has a fantastic view, the location is within walking distance to the main shopping area of Fort Lauderdale Beach, but is far enough way that if you walk around at night near the hotel you don't encounter the "gristle" of society.  I'm no elitist but I don't like to spend my free time listening to drunken *#$holes, or dealing with obnoxious "i have no personality, so look at me look at me" teenagers that frequent the Fort Lauderdale beach area.

The staff is very helpful, friendly, and completely customer service oriented.

What I appreciated further is that the front desk staff does not show the slightest bit of snobbery.  I showed up after a four hour drive from Key West in sandals dirty t-shirt and swim trunks, yet I was still treated as if I was the most important customer in the hotel.

I have to say it's been a while since I was truly impressed with a hotel.

I selected this hotel primarily based on the great reviews it received. Short and simple: it exceeded my expectations. Service was outstanding-it rivaled top-tier hotels.  I was on a business trip but left feeling as though I had been on vacation.  Each staff member that I encountered went above and beyond to ensure that I was not in need of anything-even those I saw in the elevator or walking down a hallway on another task. My suite was ocean-front (I was upgraded)-large, spotless, complete with whirlpool tub and balcony that extended the length of my bedroom and living room, & opened to both. Pool area was pretty, with ocean view as well as great tropical drinks/mojitos. And, the food was really good throughout hotel-room service, restaurants, and pool! I am pretty tired of hotel food so this was a welcome surprise.  Highly recommend this hotel!

loved my stay here - we got upgraded twice and ended up with a master oceanview suite...first upgrade cause they didn't have any 2 bed rooms so we got the suite with a king and a pull out and then again cause we got there early and they didn't have a room ready (yes, thats normally our fault)...so they gave us an oceanview!
the room was amazing!  huge with a full kitchen.
the staff was super nice and accomodating to anything we needed.
the hotel restaurant was really good.  the pool staff was very helpful - the chairs are a bit hard to come by so one of the attendents found us chairs and put them together for us.
we loved our time here!  and its about a 10 min walk to the main section on town so it was convenient.

The Hilton Fort Lauderdale went out of their way to make our stay perfect.  We were up upgraded to a 1 bedroom.  The staff called us by name and made us feel like royalty.  They were knowledgable and heled us find the perfect things to do, see and eat.  They even allowed us to check in early and check out late.  I will go back and recommend this proerty to everyone I know.

The food at the pool restaurant was great too.  Definitely a must!

The hotel is beautiful and the views amazing.  Valet and housekeeping staff were so friendly!  Front desk staff needs a bit of a reality check.  They were cold and didn't smile much.  A huge turn off to me was the wifi... It was horrible.  After a half hour on the phone with their support line I just asked to be refunded for the Internet because I would not work.   I'd def go back.

Stayed here last Friday - thought the property was money and would definitely stay here again. Room was excellent - solid breakfast and workout area. Great views. Also stayed at the Westin and even though the Westin is cooler, I did like my room at the Hilton better - can't speak to the property as a whole because I didn't hang out at the Hilton as much as I did the Westin.

This place was great. I guess they had originally meant it to be condo's therefore the rooms are more "home" like than your usual hotel. In fact, I think they do use the facility for both Condo units and a hotel. Either way, it is fantastic. We have two small children and the the one bedroom king suite worked out great. Having the full kitchen was clutch as we were able to bring in groceries for the little ones. I mean really, to pay a ton of money for grilled cheeses and hot dogs is kind of ridiculous. Besides the facilities, the separating factor is the staff. Everyone, I mean everyone is incredible. The staff is incredibly attentive and think of everything. When I called and told them we were bringing little ones, they asked great questions and had the suite all set up before we arrived with cribs, extra towels, plates, and utensils.  They were all great and we will be back.

P.S. We ordered room service one night and could not have been more pleased.

    PART ONE

Having never stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort so I thought I would check it out.

This property located on the beach (you need to cross the street for access). A new development, one the W Hotel, is going up on either side of the property. There are no restaurants, retail, or grocery stores with in a few blocks of the hotel. [If that is incorrect please let me know and I will edit this post] You need to walk south towards the St. Regis.

This was a quiet an uneventful stay. Although I was there only one day the area was extremely quiet with no traffic.

    RANKINGS
    Check-in/Check-out [2 out of 5]
Arrived at 2:15 pm. The lobby was empty. Therefore, I step up to the front desk. Hand the agent my Diamond card & form of payment and the agent informs me they are expecting me as a Diamond and have me "all taken care of" and that I'm in a "great room".

I prefer rooms that are away from the elevator and that get LOTS of light. I was assigned a room on the 23 floor. I take the elevators up and realize the room is next to the elevator. Ughhh. Then to my surprise I walk into the smallest room (with small balcony) I've ever received at a Hilton property. As I start my usual inspection of the room, I notice a large stain on the carpet and that there is no door lock. I call and request to be moved & note the issues with the room. The guest services agent apologizes and says he'll move me and alert the operations about the stain & missing door lock.

I was then assigned a room on the 19 floor. This room again is next to the elevator bank. I look down the short hallway in both directions and realize there are 16 rooms on the upper floors, four which are directly adjacent to the elevator landing. I sigh again.

I walk in and I am pleasantly surprised. This room is much larger and set up similar to an "open floor plan" Embassy Suites. You enter, walk a few steps and your in front the bathroom, the next "room" is the bedroom, then finally living room with kitchenette & a wrap balcony. When guest services called to check on the new room, I inquired as to why I was not assigned this room from the start?

Upon checkout the Front desk Mgr. Inquired as to my stay and based on the notes in reservation and pretty much repeated the above.

    Common Areas [4]
Clean modern and well lit. Lobby is bright and airy.

    Guest Rooms [4]
(2nd) Room what looks to be a *look up room type*. Bright, modern with lots of light. However, the carpet was stained. It appears that this is a common theme in all the rooms as the light colored carpet changes color when cleaned.

Overall First Impression: Great - this is what I was expecting
Bed: Inviting, Very firm & nice linens
Furniture & Decor: casual modern and in good condition. Dcor of the room is soothing and is appropriate for its location.
Closet Space: Large double door walk in closet. Love that there is an electric socket inside the closet so you don't have to hunt for one or unplug something else to iron.
TV: flat panel in each "room". The channel election was so-so.
    Lighting: Ample lighting
View: Good partial view of ocean, the W hotel and you can even see downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Workspace: Nice desk with drawers and plenty of sockets yet the work area is tiny since its shared with the TV. Could be a problem for some
Radio/Audio: Hilton clock with DVD player. First time I've seen this model.

    Guest Room Bathrooms [4]
Nice size bathroom with good counter space, although I don't understand why there are no double vanity.
Sink: Residential feel with good counter space. Enough working space for two people to prepare without bumping into each other.
Shower: Nice sized shower with rain showerhead. Go pressure and water temperature.
Tub: AMAZING oversized deep spa tub
Toiletries: Typical Hilton toiletries bath toiletries

    Housekeeping N/A
No issues as I only spent one night in the property.

    Club Level/Lounge N/A
    No

    Fitness Center [5]
Nice equipment cardio machines and free weights. Adjacent to pool but directly across from the restaurant.

    Pool [5]
Nice pool and pool deck with two hot tubs and plenty of space for people to spead out. Staff was very attentive.

    Business Center N/A
    Didn't see one.

    Concierge N/A
Didn't use, but there is a concierge on staff located in the lobby across from reception. She was very busy whenever I walked past. From the looks of things it appears she earns her salary!

High Speed Wired/Wireless Internet Access [4]
I think there is free wireless in the lobby. There is a $14 fee in rooms. Rooms are also wired. The signal was very strong and quite fast & I was never dropped.

    Parking/Valet [5]
Very fast. I called for the car prior to going out and it was there before I got downstairs. This was approximately 5-7 minutes.

    Dining N/A
Didn't use but there is a restaurant on site.

My husband and I researched several hotel options for our weekend getaway trip to Fort Lauderdale. We decided to stay at the Hilton Beach Resort because of its proximity to the beach front. We were very happy with our decision and thought the quality of the room, gorgeous views of the ocean and the inner coastal waterway, and access to the beautiful pool at the hotel was well worth the money. The pool chairs overlooking the ocean were really nice. We highly recommend the restaurant near the pool as well, although there are many dining options within walking distance from the hotel.

Very helpful staff with 3 calls made when we checked in to make sure we didn't need anything.  Room was spacious and comfortable and nicely furnished.  Jacuzzi tub in the room had oil on it when we checked in from the last maintenance.  Walls were not fully soundproof.  And if you're allergic to feathers, beware...they told us they only had 3 foam pillows in the whole hotel.

I have stayed here twice - once on business and the second time for pleasure.  This property is superb!  My first stay I had a regular room with a kitchenette.  My second stay was in a suite or more like a condo - the kitchen had full size stainless steel appliances, granite counter top, living room, separate bedroom with king size bed, huge bathroom and a wrap around balcony offering a city view and an ocean view.

The pool area overlooks the ocean.  There are cabanas and plenty of lounge chairs.  Attendants are on hand to move chairs for you, offer you ice water w/lemon and distribute towels.  The fitness center also has an attendant who furnishes towels, earphones (the elliptical machines had TV's attached) and makes sure the equipment is kept clean.  The restaurant, Olios, food is excellent.  Nice bar also.  There is a spa which I didn't take advantage of.

Great location - across the street from the beach and within walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops.

This is a first class hotel and all of the staff are focused on superior customer service.  I highly recommend this hotel for a company meeting or a pleasurable getaway.  I am confident you will enjoy it!

Location across from the beach in Fort Lauderdale is nice. Hotel room was decent. Small but functional. Parking is expensive and its valet only, so be prepared to spend at least 40.00 more per day on parking alone. Elevator service is slow and waiting 5 to 10 minutes is realistic. The hotel is understaffed at the restaurant, pool, and front desk. Our experience was not bad, but it did not blow is away. The Hilton has some areas to improve, but it has a great location and all the ingredients to be a top notch hotel in Lauderdale.

Under better circumstances, I'd have likely advanced my star count on this hotel, but getting settled in here was difficult, and our first impression was probably among the worst check-in scenarios I've encountered, and I've traveled quite a bit. Short version is that a vacation was booked through American Airlines vacations, whereupon the stay at the Hilton was logged. Imagine the surprise, then, when after getting off of the plane I'd booked and taking the car service I'd booked to get to the hotel, the front desk....told me that my room had been *canceled*.

    Yep. Canceled.

Someone -- clearly not I -- had apparently 'canceled' the room earmarked for my five day stay in Fort Lauderdale. And everyone was denying it: American Airlines Vacations, the Hilton (who printed out a cancellation notice -- minus some redacted material they claimed was sensitive to the hotel -- ), and it took some pretty direct conversation to get the ball rolling toward a solution. In the end, both sides (not including the customer) claimed they were in the right: AA Vacations claiming they had convinced the hotel to honor our reservation, the hotel using said sheet minus redacted copy as proof that they'd been sent a bonafide cancel notice. I don't know who hosed the situation, and I almost don't care, but my vacation was upside down from the beginning, I was wrung out from the road and the skies opened up with some sort of metaphorical type southern rain to wash the whole thing down. Go figure.

AA Vacations claimed we would get a room upgrade, but we didn't: we got the same room we'd actually booked and not canceled. The Hilton, for their part, claimed they didn't have any rooms left, but somehow found one with the suggestion that we were messing up someone else's reservation. The whole thing was rather exhausting. But once settled in, you are steps from the beach, there are usually fresh beach towels at the ready, and evenings, should you catch them when the crowds aren't around, are pretty pleasant. There's a shuttle service that will scoot you around a bit for a fee.

I guess the real question is 'would I stay here again,' and the answer is, well, probably, but I'd likely book with the idea in mind that I'd have to have a back-up plan. And when booking, when's the last time that you needed that?

Of all the hotels I've ever been to, this one is definitely in the Top 5.  It was an absolutely gorgeous hotel, with friendly and accommodating staff right from the moment we walked in.  The room was _huge_, luxurious, comfortable, with a nice view ... you could hardly ask for more!  Huge bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower was nice (there was also a nice note explaining that Ft. Lauderdale water, though slightly greenish, is perfectly safe(!)).

The location across from the beach is nice.  However, there isn't much else to see in walking distance from the hotel (not sure if there is anything in driving distance, either, though).

Biggest downside (almost lost a star) is the business center or wifi availability.  Charging for Internet and paying to use the computer to pay to print is just so NOT COOL.  Anyway, we decided that printing was something we could forego, and just threw down the $14 for wifi on our laptop.  (seriously, if they are gonna charge, they could at least make it reasonably-priced, right?!).

but there was some extra credit: an Aston Martin DB9 was valet-parked outside in the very front, so I got to stare and drool every time I went in or out of the hotel. (what girls at what beach?)

This is one of our favorite resorts in the country. We travel quite a bit and appreciate the finer things in life. One of those "things" being great resorts with stellar accommodations and service. From the beautiful pool to the very friendly staff, this deserves 5/5. Now on our 5th stay at this location. Never been disappointed.

    Great deal for $149
Nice hotel, all new furniture in room
    Very modern and clean
Breakfast & lunch catering for our meetings was surprisingly very good.  Plenty of food, lots of choices & tasty.  Fair price.
Most of the people in our group were upgraded to suites!

Everything at this resort was amazing. Great views, great room service, great rooms, great service, and on and on. And it's right in front of the beach! I remember the parking situation being complicated but we didn't have a car so it didn't affect us.

A welcome change from a hotel down the street!  All members of the staff were very attentive, got an upgrade, and the room was nice and clean.
It is the little things that differentiate - like the getting back from dinner and seeing that the bed has been turned down and all used towels have been replaced.
If I had to find something to complain about - it would be the drink service on the sundeck.. but that is a minor item in an otherwise great stay!

Good place for families.  We went during spring break and had not one issue with drunken craziness.  The hotel was built 7 years ago, so everything is clean and modern.  Our room was spacious, beds comfortable,  and our suite did provide kitchenware upon request.  The gym equipment appears new.  5 star service from check-in till check-out.  Hotel restaurants are very good (especially S3 on the street level).  Beach was clean and sand was soft.  There is a life guard tower right in front of the hotel.  Will stay here next time & would recommend to a friend.

Hilton provided us with a wonderful relaxing vacation and I would return at any opportunity to stay here.  The view from the top is quite amazing. The ocean view suite room was expansive with 1.5 bathrooms and a whole sized stainless steel fridge.

The staff was so friendly and willing to help any time we had a request.  Even the elevator monitors had a friendly voice... "This is SIX!   POOOOOL! :)"

The hotel was sold out and yet they accommodated us by upgrade rather than a downgrade. Some parties which did not reserve/check in with enough time may have gotten slightly downgraded but were compensated for their loss and should not have complained because the whole hotel was very accommodating as much as possible.

I even liked our ocean view more than an oceanfront, because on the south side suite balcony I saw a sideways view of the town as well as the water on both sides of us, both the sunrise AND sunset.

Only there were slightest of drawbacks from 5 stars.  There was the yellow tinge in the bath water that would not go away no matter how much I ran water. I certainly wouldn't drink it, folks. It was even difficult to convince myself to use the personal hot tub for this reason, I didn't know if it was the pipes or the source.  And the hot tub only had one temperature/jet setting which was uncomfortable to sit in for very long, being small and impossible to control a maintained temperature. We also found it annoying that the pool side area has limited shade, it seems to be only meant for sunbathers. The pool attendants had a policy to reserve towels and chairs for people up to 30 minutes while they ate in the poolside restaurant. This was a waste of limited shade resources, particularly when no one was really watching the clock to make sure the ghosts came back to claim their prime spots by the pool.

I am certain there is not a bad view from any room. We stayed on the twenty-fourth floor and had a wrap-around balcony. From the balcony, we had wonderful views of the canals and the beach. And, we heard absolutely no noise from the street nor from the hallway / other rooms.

Hotel staff were great: knowledgeable about local spots, attentive at the pool and during breakfast, and great at getting us checked in and out. We purchased something to drink from the in-hotel market and the cashier took the initiative to order some glasses be brought up to the room. In addition, I received a follow-up email from the hotel management, wanting to ensure our stay was everything it should have been, which is nice. It was a shame we only stayed a single night.

While the location across from the beach provides terrific views, the hotel is a couple steps below "top quality" and not somewhere that I would rush to stay again.

We had a suite, which had a separate bedroom, a pull out sofa area, and a bathroom and a half - along with a kitchenette.  The kitchen faucet was leaky, so we avoided using it during our stay.  The room had more of a "condo unit" feel - which I believe it was - than a "hotel" feel. NO free bottled waters in the room, and insufficient towels for the size of the room (we had four people staying in it).  Of course, that was our initial room on the second floor; we had to move after our first night.  Despite the desk clerk telling us it was her "favorite room" (an excuse for "sucky room that no one else will take"), we literally couldn't sleep in it due the NOISE all night long.  It was ON the street, and the windows are paper thin.  Impact glass? I don't think so.  We heard honking all night, people partying and stumbling drunk, and Haitian cab drivers arguing at the top of their lungs at 3:00am.  Can't management tell them to keep it down?  After a sleepless night we were moved to the 9th floor; also a suite, but slightly smaller in size.

Was the 9th floor any quieter? Heck NO.  Again, the windows couldn't keep out the sound of a pin dropping.  We heard every car, every truck going in reverse, every bachelorette party yelling, and every car horn in the area.  My advice: bring ear plugs.  While the hotel has top notch views and hip decor, it's not the "relaxing experience" one would expect for the money spent.

For the price of this hotel you honestly get it ALL and it is so worth the money! I recommend this place to everyone and anyone who is looking for some time to relax and enjoy themselves! And the Blackberry MOJITOS by the Pool Bar are beyond AMAZING! Will defiently return here:) BEST HOTEL IN FORT LAUDERDALE!

    A really beautiful hotel!

It's located right on the beach so there's plenty of things to do in the area. Just a short walk along the strip and you'll find lots of restaurants, bars, and entertainment.

The decor of the hotel was modern and nicely furnished. The room was clean and comfortable. The room had a kitchenette which included a mini refrigerator, microwave, and small stove top. The bathroom was spacious and even included a bathtub/jacuzzi. Our balcony overlooked the beach and had seats and a table where you could sit to enjoy the view.

I only have two complaints for our stay. There were plenty of elevators (six or so?) on each floor but they all ran slow or were possibly not even working. It was very annoying when there were dozens of people trying to get on and off. Also, the hotel only offers valet parking at $30 or so a night. The only other parking in the area are metered spots and expires every four hours.

Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Excellent time. We had a double queen suite with an ocean front view. Room was big enough for our family of 5. Room clean and spacious. 2 flat screen tvs. Large balcony with a fabulous view. Beds were really comfortable. Pool was amazing and view of the beach from pool was breath taking. Restaurant on site has a small menu but food was good. Waitress we had was very attentive. Pricey but expected for the area. New policies for santation is you have to ask for silverware, dishes, sheets for pullout. Just note. 4 stars due to the construction outside our balcony. But overall great service. We will stay again.

I stayed here last Fourth of July for a week (sorry for delay in review but I eventually had to give them credit they were owed)

The hotel itself: Decorated very nice and is pretty new, clean and kept at a great temperature. Has a pool side restaurant and bar so that you do not have to move from your chair. Has a starbucks on the main floor ( how do you beat that ). Also a good breakfast spot down there as well for the mornings.

    The staff: Extremely friendly

The Jr suite room: Such a nice room at a very good rate. Nice balcony area to sit out on and have a beer or two.

Pool area: VERY nice pool and and area with cabanas if you like and two jacuzzis. Towels provided also.

    I will eventually return.

My first stay at this hotel and overall I was happy...the hot lady at check in was very professional and on point.  My room was exactly what was booked.  Beautiful oceanfront room with an awesome wrap around balcony.  The housekeeping staff was never visible but managed to slip in and clean my room the minute I left and finished before I returned.  Some of the staff don't quite have the world class hospitality thing down like a high end Marriott or Ritz...but I always felt if I needed something I could get it done.  I plan on returning in a few months and look forward to my next visit.

This was our second stay in Feb 2013.  Happily upgraded to the Presidential Suite. Previously in May 2012, we stayed Mon - Saturday.  This round was Wed thru Sunday and it is definite more crowded during peek days.  Gym is rather small but the equipment is high end. We were provided breakfast tickets for each am and again, the staff was awesome.  We had a couples massage on the late Friday. My only downside to the massage is we were separated in two diff cabanas lol! Couples - together - side by side? Guess not.  Lol. Still staff rocked. Will totally return.

We got an ocean view junior suite on a pretty high floor. The view to the beach was quite nice. We got a private balcony where we can sit and watch the beach.

Generally, I can't speak high praises about this hotel. For a hotel with this caliber (4 stars) and this price, I expect better and more consistent services all thought out. But this hotel was all but hit and miss. If you get lucky, you'll get great service.

If we had to start all over again, paying this much money, we'll probably choose some other hotels.

    Pros:
    - hotel room was spacious and plenty comfortable for 2 adults and 2 young kids.
    - room service twice a day
    - provided me toothbrush when I realized late at night that I had forgotten to bring one.
    - they let us bring hotel towels to the beach
    - free water bottles at the beach
    - nice pool area
    - friendly staff

    Cons:
    - I wish there was a sliding door between the bedroom and the living room area where the kids slept in the pulled-out bed.

    - the mattress for the pulled-out bed was kind of dirty, dinky, and old. I can see black spots all over (not sure if they were just dirt or mold). Thank goodness, they gave us two sheets. I used both of them to make

    - the sheets for the pulled-out bed were initially no where in the room. I had to request sheets to be delivered. I had to call twice because it took them so long (more than 30 minutes) to deliver them to us.

    - the first night we where there, we used up all the shampoo and conditioners. They came in the tiny containers that all shampoos and conditioners in hotels do. The next morning, they loaded us with tons of shampoos (I think it must've been 6 containers). But only one conditioner. We used that conditioner up and they did not gave us more the next morning.

    - this is one of my pet-peeves in hotels not just this one. For some reasons, the room service just doesn't have any idea how many people are staying in the room (I think they should know). In many hotels, we were often times short of clean towels. This hotel room came with only 3 towels, but there were 4 of us. The first night, I shared a towel with my son. The next morning, room service gave us 2 fresh towels but the 3rd one was not changed. I had to request new towels.

    - bath water had a yellowish/greenish tinge. It was not obvious in the shower. It was not obvious when we're running the water on the sink. But it was pretty obvious when we turned on the hot tub in the bathroom.

    - beach chairs and umbrellas were not free. $10 per chair and $20 per umbrella. The guy who's overseeing the chairs and umbrellas (not a hotel employee) was pretty nazi about it. There were a couple of Spanish speaking ladies sitting next to us on their own towels directly on the sand. But they were sitting so close to the umbrella's shade. The guy got mad and scolded them in Spanish, and proceeded in closing the umbrella.

    - this is quite a paradox that extends beyond just this hotel. The more expensive the hotel is, the worse quality their internet connection is. We rely on the internet connection for everything, for checking maps, directions, places to go to, etc. I had stayed in a Holiday Inn that had much better blazingly fast internet connection than what this hotel provides. To say that the internet in this hotel sucks, is an understatement. Some of the website pages we hit did not even load (times out).

What a great experience and what a great hotel. At a very late hour in the night AND on a Friday night (with a major concert event going on in the area) we had to switch from one bad hotel to the Hilton. Wasn't expecting to even get a room at 1:00am but the friendly and accommodating front desk personal was able to give us a room at a reasonable price. We asked for the lowest rate room and we were given a $223.00 room. Seeing that this is the Hilton, the hotel is practically swimming in the Atlantic Ocean and at the time and day we asked for the room - not a bad price/deal. On our way up to our room, the front desk lady saw how distraught we were and gave us free water - good eye and attention to people's needs and cares.

The room we wound up getting (Presidential suite?) was fantastic. Very roomy, super clean, perfect temperature inside. Had an outside balcony where we didn't have a clear and perfect shot of the ocean but you could still get a good look at it. But the added bonus was that you could also see Ft. Lauderdale's nice downtown skyline and her inter coastal. Plus, it gave you an area for smokers (if needed) at the outside balcony. There were two modern and large tvs (L.G.s) in both the bedroom and suite areas. The suite area had a couch, sink, countertop space, fridge, microwave, and was perfect for entertaining if you have added guest. All appliances were sleek and modern and the room had a nice decor.

From the fiasco earlier, we didn't get to eat. Unfortunately the complete room service dinner menu wasn't available at 1:45am but they still had select appetizer items and desert available. The chips with salsa, sour cream and guacamole was tasty and great. But what took the "cake" was the carrot cake. It was so good. Fresh, moist and downright delicious. It also came with blueberries and strawberries which we thought was a nice touch.

The bathroom was superb, especially the bathtub. The bathtub was a whirlpool/Jacuzzi tub with room for you and your significant other. And the bathroom also had a stand alone/separate, glass wall shower - very romantic and classy.

The front desk area and elevator lobby was nicely decorated with some really cool architectural features. Only bad part of this hotel is the $35.00 (plus tip) you pretty much have to pay to valet park your car. And no vending machines on the floors or lobby. So, it's a good idea if you bring some drinks (sodas, sport drinks, beer) yourself - the rooms have fridges. In the morning, there is a Starbucks right at the hotel.

Due to time constraints, didn't even get to see all the other features (pool area, gym, etc.). Don't see how the W Hotel just down the block could be much better? And for $223.00 compared to $499 - Hilton wins this one.

My sister held her wedding here at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort last year and what a great experience it was. Gayleen and the rest of the staff were always accommodating and my Bridezilla of sister felt comfortable putting her precious wedding in the hands of the Hilton.

The Bridal party stayed here the night prior and the night of the wedding and the rooms were great. Everything was clean and beautiful. The views were spectacular too, looking out to the marina or the city below. I especially enjoyed the box of trojans (her pleasure) that was delicately placed next to the bible in the top drawer of the night stand. Ok, so not exactly an amenity offered by Hilton as much as it was the misfortune of the last guest in that room (I say misfortune because the box was unopened), but it was quite entertaining.

As a group of 5 giddy and merrily buzzed girls staying in 2 conjoined rooms, you can imagine the raucous we caused. We must have called for extra pillows, another bathrobe, more towels, etc. etc. more than what could be counted on one hand. But the staff was patient and fulfilled our every request pleasantly and swiftly.

I would recommend this hotel for any vacationer looking for the the Fort Lauderdale experience. A short distance from the beach, which you can get to for free (.50 on the weekends) via the trolley that stops at the Publix down the street. You are close enough to Las Olas and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. The Hilton is also a stop on the Water Taxi which is a great added bonus.

My one night stay at this hotel was a great start to a birthday celebration. Valet greeted my friends and I with smiles and plenty of jokes. We received assistance with our baggage and the gentleman was very professional and friendly. When he heard we were celebrating a birthday he came back to our room with a bottle of wine - yum! The room was extremely clean and the ocean view was breathtaking. We did not eat at the restaurant/bar in the hotel, but the bar service was great. In fact, the bartender and manager assisted with our ice bucket challenge - thank you! The bar offers great happy hour specials and Thursdays are Ladies Nights. As for location, the beach is across the street, and beach stores, restaurants and bars are within blocks each direction. The only con I have about this hotel is that the building blocks the sun from the pool starting later afternoon (around 3/4 PM) into the evening. We used Hilton points for this reservation so I cannot comment on cost vs. value.

Great hotel if you want to get away for a few days!  No need to leave the resort.  No need for a car.  My partner and I took a cab from the airport to the hotel and spent most of our time at the resort.  Cabs are easily accessible if you want to go elsewhere.  Beach across the road.  Hotel is newer, so nothing shabby about it.  Our room was perfect... spacious, comfortable, a large bathroom with a great shower, a kitchenette which came in handy for snacks, a wrap around balcony, and a VIEW of the ocean.  Room prices are very reasonable if you book ahead.  A great restaurant in the lobby (S3, very popular, best to make a reservation, sit outside if you can).  A cafe/market/Starbucks in the lobby, with outdoor dining.  A fantastic buffet breakfast.  Service was uniformly friendly at the hotel.  We will definitely be back to this hotel!

    A few tips:

Beach chairs and umbrellas are expensive to rent.  Chairs $12, umbrellas $20.  Since we were staying 4 days, we found it worthwhile to take a walk to CVS and buy these (10 minute walk).

Request a high floor for the best view.

Avoid the "Happy Hour" at Ilios.  It's a rip-off.  See my review.

If you want to do something different, take a walk to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.  About 10 minutes away.  Nice park with trails and views of the Intercoastal.  See my review.

Chose this hotel for the honeymoon! Had an amazing time! The hotel is super clean. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We were put in a studio on the top floor with an amazing view. The bed was very comfortable with great quality sheets and many many soft pillows (yay!). The housekeeping apparently visited our room twice a day, because every time we would return from dinner late at night, we would find our bed made, air conditioning on, curtains closed and soft music playing on the radio. Definitely will stay there again!

Have stayed at this hotel approximately 50 times in the last 7 years. Outstanding Hilton with great service and amenities. I am a Diamond member with Hilton.

    Rooms:
    - Spacious, clean and mostly updated (still a bit of that tacky Florida decor, but it looks alright overall)
    - Beds are REALLY comfortable... slept great every time. I believe they use the Serta Suite Dreams mattresses. Still trying to nail that down to buy one for myself... it was great; linens always clean and fresh, never an issue
    - Bathrooms - outstanding; always clean, very spacious; whirlpool tub and glass/granite shower with large shower head. usually double sink with plenty of counter space; complimentary soaps, shampoo, body scrub, etc.
    - Kitchen - most rooms have some type of kitchenette or kitchen; corner rooms and some suites have a full kitchen; updated stainless appliances and granite counter tops. Bar seats in full kitchens, stove, microwave, etc. You can order cookware for the room if necessary. Stocked with coffee maker, paper towels, coffee pods/packets, cream (I never used it)
    - Living area - very nice; large flat screens, multiple couches, chairs, ottomans, etc. A few lamps, some decor. Comfortable area to work. Bedrooms usually include a desk area with option to connect online via wired connection (I believe they are phasing these out)
    - Balcony - almost every room has a balcony with views of the ocean. Nice to sit out there, but furniture can be slightly uncomfortable; make sure you use towels before you sit on chairs... they are some type of hybrid wicker... can get sticky dirt/gunk on your clothes, especially if it has rained recently. Oceanfront balconies are great and HUGE. Best rooms are penthouse, presidential suites, and the two rooms that lay over the gym and the Ilios Restaurant (large circular balcony with chaise lounges)

    Facilities:
    - Nice, clean, elegant lobby with modern decor; good sitting area while waiting for cab or car, can be a bit loud for phone calls though
    - Tech - business area to print boarding passes, works fine, serves its purpose; reception in this hotel has been shoddy in the past... they just went through a building-wide wireless upgrade, which seems to have helped with better cell service
    - Staff - extremely friendly, very accommodating; bell staff great to chat with (Mark), good recommendations and knowledge of the area; front desk very responsive to requests, good with room options (especially for Diamond members) and very polite/professional; valets are nice guys, usually prompt with service - call down at least 10 minutes ahead if you want your car down
    - Pool - On 6th floor, one of best parts of hotel, great size, very clean, two hot tubs on each side; great views of ocean and a lot of seating options; very comfortable chairs and complimentary towels; pool staff extremely attentive. Drink/food service can be slow when they are busy, but usually quite good; South side of deck best place to sit if you want sun late into the afternoon (north side evetually gets eclipsed by building); private cabanas with TV available by reservation for around $100 (not worth it to me); they usually get a DJ for the weekends to play poolside, have games/activities available for kids
    - Spa - no review, never used
    - Exercise/gym - small, but some OK equipment, a few treadmills, free weights. I never expect much from a hotel workout facility
    - Ballrooms/meeting rooms - no review, never used
Parking - valet only, one of the bummers of Fort Lauderdale Beach hotels; they charge $32 per day to park (barf!!!) Keep in mind when booking that this is an additional cost on top of your room charge; You can get car service too and from airport for about $30 each way, so judge your activities carefully ahead of time to see if you even need a car in the first place; you can get gas at a Hess station on 17th on the way out right before you cross the drawbridge

    Food:
    - Room Service - Skip, pricey and not very good
    - Le Marchet - great for breakfast; pizzas are good; Starbucks coffee
    - Ilios - fish tacos good for lunch, bar staff very friendly; mostly overpriced
    - S3 - very good, great seating by fire pits; try the scallops, the short ribs, grilled octopus and the brussels sprouts

For birthdays or anniversaries, my boyfriend and I visit new restaurants. We visited Sun, Surf and Sand (S3) and it was on a Monday. The restaurant was packed!!! But we had reservations so we were seated immediately.

The food was amazing!!! My first choice is the scallops - DELISH!!!! The Vietnamese chicken wings, the Ribeye and the eel sushi roll was absolutely delicious!!!

I'm a certified foodie and I cannot wait to go back to S3!!!

Incredible resort.  We stayed one night on our way home from a trip to Caribbean.  Great restaurant on 6th floor.  The fish tacos were just what I was craving.  Loved the generous portion of mahi mahi.  We had a suite on 19th floor overlooking the ocean.  Room was perfect.  Love the cafe / store on first floor for healthy food on the go

I travel for business and stay at Hiltons all the time. Booked this one for a family trip and booked a full ocean view 1 bedroom suite and pre-payed for it. Check in and get to the room, if I lean over the balcony I can catch a glimpse of the ocean, otherwise staring at the side of another hotel. I go to front desk and nicely show them my reservation was for a full ocean view on a high floor, not a partial on the 7th floor and I am told too bad we are sold out.
I almost booked the ritz carlton down the street or the W but because of my "point status" with Hiltons I figured I would have better amenities at Hilton, boy was I wrong. Oh, and they also failed to mention that there is construction going on here. Definitely feeling like I got scammed.
I would recommend looking at the W, Westin or Ritz if prices are comparable because this Hilton is MEH at best

This is my favorite place to stay while here in Florida. Heck. I'll stay here and even drive  to Miami from here.  The 1st time I stayed, they gave me a nice suite with a overview room-I didn't want to leave. This time, I got a suite looking right out into the ocean and of course, the 'standard' private balcony. Awesome! Once you lay down in bed, you will not want to get up, so comfortable and you will just melt. The 'Peter Roth' toiletries are a very nice touch~so  luxurious. Don't forget to get in the large bathtub with the jacuzzi jets. Everyone is so nice and friendly from the valets to the housekeepers and breakfast staff. Best hotel around and worth the price.

Stayed 1 night here after a cruise vacation.  For the price, the room was HUGE, and very nice.  Location is great, the pool and hot tubs are really great.  Got some great food at Ilios, which the chef prepared us a custom meal (major kudos to the chef for personalized attention to food requirements, and having ingredients on hand to make a really great meal!!!!).

Overall, well above expectations for the price.

We stayed at this Hilton for 5 days, and for the most part it was a pretty good hotel. However, there was a bit of a hiccup with the room.

On our first day we arrived at about 8pm, and we were given a very swift check in. The staff at the desk was very cool and friendly, and it was great to see those smiling faces after our long day of traveling. The bellhop was excellent too, and made no fuss about hauling up all of our crap, including a ton of baby stuff.

The room was nice, had a balcony and mini kitchen, and was in pretty good shape. However, when we got ready to hit the hay, we discovered that the bed was completely spent. When anyone sat on it, the springs totally sagged - to the point where the mattress compressed to about 2 inches in height. Even our little kids weight made the mattress sag.

We tried to get past it, but there was no two ways about it; it would be really, really hard to sleep this kind of bed. We called down to the front desk, explained the situation, and asked if they could change it. They said they'd check into it. Mind you, it was 9pm by this point and we were exhausted (and our kid was asleep), so we hoped they'd tend to the issue quickly. By 945pm we hadn't heard back, so I went down to the desk personally.

They said they were working on the problem and that they'd have a resolution within 10 minutes, so I headed back up to wait for them. Another half hour past and there was still no solution, so we called up again and asked for the manager. Unfortunately, he wasn't available, so the Mrs. headed down there to look for him.

She finally tracked him down and brought him to the room to show him the state of the bed. He immediately knew what we were talking about and he said there wasn't much he could do. He said he had extra mattresses but they were all stained (blech!) and he didn't want to give us a stained mattress.

Since they couldn't sort out the bed, we asked if it would be possible to move to another room, but the manager said that they were full for the next few days. He offered to check into it in the next day or two to see if something was going to open up but couldn't promise anything.

To be honest for $250 a night, I wasn't so keen to sleep on a bed that was sure to destroy my back. So we decided to see what our options were with the travel site we booked the room on. They were actually very helpful and told us they'd refund us in full if the hotel agreed to cancel. So, we decided to go that route and stay with some family who lived an hour away.

Upon hearing this, the manager said he would agree to cancel, but asked for a few moments to see if he could come to another resolution. After a few minutes he said he found another room, and invited me to come check it out. What a gem it was too! He gave us a huge upgrade to a penthouse, complete with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a huge wrap around balcony facing the Atlantic. The room was awesome, and most importantly, the bed was perfect! The bellhop came back and grabbed all of our stuff, and by 11 we were pretty much settled in. Our evening closed with 2 glasses of wine that the manager sent up with his complements.

That issue resolved, the rest of our stay was really great. We loved the facilities! We spent most of our time at their great pool area which had two 104 degree jacuzzi's, tons of lounges, and great food. We also had nothing but compliments for their room service, restaurant, and impeccable day spa. The staff was brilliant on all counts as well, always eager to serve and bring you anything you may need.

We enjoyed every moment we were here, and actually wished the stay was longer.

Great hotel and location.  My only complaint is that I had to go and seek out the maid every day to get toilet paper, kleenex and coffee replenished in the room. Not sure why they didn't replenish these things when they serviced our room.

Not very impressed,  I usually do not stay  hilton hotels  but this was damm near free with my airline miles. hotel is very nice inside and out, there is construction going on but it s ok.staff very friendly and helpful upon arrival, as they should be. the whole valet parking ($32)I can do without it, I  don't care  for someone parking my car, calling down to valet everytime I want my car is annoying and feeling like I have to tip EVERY TIME i pick it up and take my own car out. Beach right across the street is great, they have a store but over priced $5. 50 for water!  Resorts also usually offer more on- and off-site freebies and discounts to guests. I got 3 free coffees.

My mom and I had stayed here a few days pre-cruise and returned for 2 days post-cruise.  Arriving at 9:30 a.m. from the ship, we anticipated having to wait until 3pm to check in for the day.  We were wrong. Ariel, at the front desk said they were anticipating an early arrival for us and had already made sure our room was ready for us, so we checked in right away.  If that wasn't a nice welcome back, that afternoon we received a room delivery of chocolate dipped strawberries and a card welcoming us back from the hotel staff. What an unexpected and thoughtful gesture! By the way, I am not a Hilton Honors member, just an average hotel guest. Everyone we encountered on both our stays here treated us like VIPs.  This is now my go to hotel if I'm ever in Ft. Lauderdale again.

PROS: Rooms are big, very modern, clean, and well appointed. Bathroom is incredible: rain shower, jetted tub, marble tile, modern hardware. Comfortable beds. Kitchenette-ette (lol) with microwave, fridge, stovetop (but it's literally in a hallway). Views of the ocean both from room & balconies are awesome. Gym is well equipped, up to date, and clean. Restaurant has great food. Happy hour is at 4-6p and 9-11p, but mixed drinks are a bit weak. Restaurant staff is great, cheerful, and friendly! Beach is right across the street! The pool is beautiful if slightly small.

CONS: Staff :-( Complete hit or miss. And they need a considerable amount of additional training on hospitality (except restaurant staff, see above). Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They don't care or notice if you're a Diamond member and treat you like anybody off the street. HORRIBLE valet parking situation and no self parking is allowed. They lost our keys so we were without a car for half a day. Said they'd comp us but then ended up ADDING more valet charges which yet another manager had to reverse. And they expect $32/day for this awful inconvenience? One staffer will be apologetic and concerned and the next won't care and actually be annoyed that you are having a beyond mediocre experience, even mumbling things in Spanish under their breath to their coworkers and laughing right in front of you! Some hospitality! Everything is an add on cost and quite expensive, which I GUESS makes some sense, given that their nightly room rates are rather reasonable given the PROS mentioned above. The frustration with the staff & valet significantly distracted from an otherwise superb hotel.

BOTTOM LINE: Nice resort and I would consider staying here again BUT expect to have to micromanage the valet and staff on everything to be sure you get experience you deserve.

My husband and I decided to take a trip to the beach to celebrate our one-year anniversary. We chose this resort based on the proximity to the beach, the photos online, and reviews from past guests. I'm so glad we did! The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach has been wonderful! Meike, one of the front desk agents, checked us in and I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. She gave us a beautiful room on the 23rd floor and later in the evening, she had chocolate covered strawberries, bottled water, and an anniversary card delivered to our room! Wow! Now that's customer service! It was such a nice surprise and a very thoughtful gesture.

Everything is top-notch. The lobby area is modern and welcoming. The pool is beautiful and we enjoyed drinks at the bar during happy hour. Our room is large and very comfortable. We are extremely pleased with this Hilton and would definitely return.

To Meike and the front desk team, thank you so much for your hospitality!

I strongly recommend this hotel if you're a Hilton fan. I've stayed at a couple other Hilton-portfolio properties previously and have been disappointed by how basic/dated the places usually seem. The Hilton on Fort Lauderdale Beach though is gorgeous. All units are fully/properly furnished, most - if not all, rooms have full kitchens, its right on the beach, amazing staff and service.. My only complaint is the fact that if you're in an ocean view suite, the music at the pool starts blasting right at 9am.. very loudly.. If you like to sleep in, request a room either on the roof level or in the sky.

There are those times when your expectations just are not met.
When I showed up, they confirmed my ocean-view room. Receiving my keys and heading up toward the room I open the door to find that I was actually located on the opposite end of the hotel, and indeed if I went to the bedroom and out onto the balcony, twisted my head to the left, I could see the ocean approximately one block away.
I was upset that this hotel would call a room that overlooks the intercoastal waterway an ocean view room, and returned back to the front desk to lodge my complaint. I will say the staff was attentive to my request and moved me to a room closer to the beach, but I still think they should never have the called the last room away from the beach an "Ocean view" room on their website. Be aware.

Room was spacious and clean. Ocean view was amazing. The king bed was incredibly comfortable. Coffee shop downstairs serves Starbucks coffee/specialty drinks. Lots of places to hang out, near pool, on sundeck, on lounge chairs, at coffee shop. Hotel is modern. Reataurant S3 in the hotel is incredible, with amazing atmosphere, modern decor and great food. You can't beat the location, central on Ft. Lauderdale beach. The W hotel is next door if you want to go out to a swanky lounge. Overall this Hilton is an amazing hotel. I may have caught them at a bad time. I will say that the place is nice and our room was just fine. The staff was very friendly but it was attention to detail. Our jet tub didn't work and when they fixed it we didn't get any hot water. We had a jet tub for four days and were never able to use it. As far as our kitchen, you have to ask for plates, glasses and silverware and I assume that it is your job to wash them. We asked but never received any soap for the dishwasher. Two days soap and body towels were not replaced. But we are not snobs. We know many there work hard; must have just caught them at an off period. We would stay here again and we liked the staff.

If not for the company I was with, I doubt I would've enjoyed this stay at all. A girlfriend and I drove about ten hours from Atlanta with two toddlers who were real troopers the whole way. It was an impromptu trip - I booked with a Hilton booking agent that morning, gave her my CC and got a confirmation number. She assured me that late check in was no trouble at all.

Upon arriving to the hotel, the valet ignored our car and went to the gentleman who pulled in behind us. Not sure why. Maybe uninterested in unpacking the back of my SUV or dealing with kids. At any rate, it irked me, especially when he said "So, you're staying at the Hilton Beach Resort?"  WTF.  I just showed up in an almost brand new car, and he's acting like I strolled up with my grocery cart full of bags. AND EVEN IF I HAD, it wouldn't kill him to be nicer.

Once we finally got out and into the hotel, it was around one am or so. I gave the fellow at the desk my info, he seemed confused by something and went to get some other guy from the back. Guy number two was quite a treat. He informed me that my room had been given away because my credit card had been declined.

At this point, I'm pretty pissed off. The guy was incredibly rude and condescending, and I kept trying to explain to him that something had gone wrong on their end. My card was fine. He kept telling me how it was my fault. And even HAD it been, I was blown away that they hadn't even tried to call me. I asked him to read back the card number to me. Said he couldn't do that but read off the expiration date and the address. Year of the date and the city I lived in were both wrong. Not. My. Fault.

His attitude quickly changed. Mostly I still wanted to punch him in the face, but this was in public and I am a grown up. Also, I had two four year olds who really needed to get in bed. We had a reserved an ocean view suite, but they had kindly given it away to someone else, since they assumed that their staff is stellar and I just couldn't afford my trip. We wound up in a much smaller junior suite. If you have ever been around two four year olds, you can understand why a door dividing two rooms is a big deal. Jackass at the front desk offered us free breakfast, which was nice, but honestly I expected a little more after not having the room I booked and the hostility from the front.

Our room was barely cleaned while we there. The trash wasn't even emptied.  I'm only giving it two stars because the actual
hotel itself was nice. The staff were perpetually rude. There were some ladies in the gift shop that were nice. Fun to chat with. The beach was great and the breakfast was really tasty. But the beach is public and I can eat pancakes anywhere. Won't ever stay here again.

The view from our hotel was very nice. However, valet parking and checking in was a madhouse nightmare. Cars, people, kids, luggage, strollers, EVERYWHERE from the moment we pulled up. I was hesitant about leaving my car with valet. To the front desk staff's credit they seemed to take in all in stride and not seem too allow how chaotic the lobby was effect their attitudes. Hats off to them, because I was going crazy just standing there. Again, the room was nice but it wasn't like "OMG GREAT." For the money we paid for the room I expected things to at least "seem" a little more together. I won't go back.

The room was spacious, clean and provided a deck with great views.  The kitchenette in the room had no kitchen supplies unless you call guest services.  Location is ideal, directly across the street from the beach.  Get to the beach before 12 if you want to obtain a chair (at a rental cost of $12 + tax) otherwise your luxury is laying on a towel in the sand (this was during Easter week).  Overall the staff is very professional and friendly.. Some great training was provided as this made the stay exceptional.  Two major complaints were poor elevator service.  Only three elevators serve guests to rooms, pool, etc.  inadequate for the size of this "resort" and a waste of my valuable vacation time!  Housekeeping was poor.  Items such as toilet paper, soap, etc were not stocked over our 5 night stay.  When asking for such additional items or for more than the two bath towels provided which was almost a daily occurrence we would be looked at as if we had two heads.  Turn down service is provided where dirty towels are removed, but not replenished.  Coffee for the coffee maker was not restocked over the 5 day period and dirty coffee cups were not replaced or even washed.
Overall I would book again if The W directly across the street had no vacancy.

Operations Manger was welcoming and Owner relations manager Greg Angelo engaged in outstanding customer service. We were warmly welcomed by both and felt appreciated as guest. The hotel was bustling with holiday travelers and still there was no wait for check in/check out or retrieving our car from valet. The room was clean and tastefully decorated with a great view of the ocean. Pool service was attentive, friendly and the towels and amenities were continually stocked. One plus is a beautiful new deck with plentiful seating, lounge chairs and a spectacular view of beach. Great area to relax away from excited kids!

Fort Lauderdale is a lovely vacation spot with great beaches, moderate prices, friendly people...and this is a very nice property with a very good location and all amenities.

Rooms are large, clean, comfortable and nearly all have partial ocean views, kitchenettes and large decks.
Bathrooms are luxe with great water pressure in the rain showers and separate, jetted tubs.
Breakfast for HHonor diamond members is partial (think continental) but the full upgrade is only $8 (adult) and $0 (kid). It's a good breakfast but the $30/person cost for non-HHonor members is absurd.
The coffee shop on the ground level is well priced and a very nice place to grab a drink, lunching like food or an ice cream
The pool is wonderful with full service, nice lounges/views.

Location is very good and about 5 blocks from the center of the action. Fort Lauderdale does need to get real with it's $12/chair and $20/umbrella costs. The beach here is not private and beach chair/umbrella rental is an additional charge.

We checked in Thursday 7/17. First The front if the hotel was blocked off because of a movie they were shooting ... Bit cumbersome to get to valet . Hey but cool right?

Yay finally we get there ...I'm a Hilton diamond member. She never confirmed I was using points for my stay (remember this) . Got to our room beautiful view. Room was dusty... -_-.

Starts pouring raining , we go for sushi and a movie. Come back drop our car off at valet , go to the beach YAY it stopped raining after 5hrs. Comeback 1.5hrs later our car is still running... Ummmm ok.
Speak to the valet girl at the window ... She proceeds to tell me , " oh well we're busy, their shooting a movie... "

I give her the look ... And that's my problem why? Your going to pay for my gas?

Go inside spoke to a manager , comped our$34. Valet charge for that day. K cool.

After a long night at 2:1 margaritas (insert puke face emoji ) I got sick and threw up.

Cleaned up best I could, (well hubby did) called housekeeping at 7am. 3 calls and 1 visit from the housekeeping manager at 5pm!!!! It was cleaned up! Gosh... Took 5.2 minutes to clean up!!!

Same day I inquired about a couples massage $200 after tax and gratuity $300... For my husbands birthday ... The bellhop said he would set it up, have breakfast there make it special. Call me on my phone to confirm.

Friday 7/18 no call to confirm the massage ... He took all my info again, lady calls me to confirm that night. K cool.

    Saturday 7/19 Happy birthday baby!
Great massage ! Special ? Breakfast ? Nada! We waited 15 mins to get a seat for breakfast... Thanks buddy ( bellhop guy )

    Sunday 7/20 CHECK OUT TIME!!
calls downstairs , hi can you give me my balance ... Listens closely ...$850....
You want to check that again !?

Lady oh your supposed to pay with points ... Me: YES!

Overall this is in a prime spot. Beautiful views, they have the chance to get it right the first time. Breakfast and the waitresses are amazing , brought my hubby a hbd treat , very nice and comped our breakfast .
Valet guys very friendly. When they do mess up they fix it fast. For the cost they need to be a better oiled machine ... Communication is key, stay consistent with check in and the questions that are asked to ensure an accurate stay. Our rooms were not serviced 2x a day , no turn down ... Our rooms were cleaned typically around 5pm ... The time your trying to get ready to go out! AKWARD.

I'm glad I stayed with points , 50/50 chance I will stay again.

Great place to stay the staff was very attentive to all my needs. The food was great and enjoyed lunch poolside everyday. I recommend renting a cabana for a day it's worth it.

I really enjoyed my stay at this Hilton beach resort. Our room had a partial view on the 25th floor and the room itself was amazing! It was clean , spacious, and luxurious. It had a kitchenette, living room, huge balcony and huge bathroom with a shower and a bath tub.

The staff is excellent- from valet to check-in and housekeeping, they were all really friendly and added to our great experience. The bar downstairs kind of sucks so I would just order basic drinks that every bartender knows how to make if you absolutely must go there. Don't make any special drink requests because it will be a let down. The pool area is great with lots of chairs but nothing beats the amazing beach that is just a short walking distance across the street from the hotel. I love Fort Lauderdale because it is relatively quiet compared to south beach and there aren't cars parked everywhere or any type of ruckus in sight.

Added bonus- this hotel has car service ;)

Great location, right on the beach.  Spacious, modern-ish rooms, great views from the balcony if you're overlooking the beach.  Overall, I like it a lot but am not head over heels as are some reviewers.

    Details

    - Great lobby, friendly staff

    - Les Marches "grab and go" restaurant is OK at best.  I don't like when hotels do not have a real all-day restaurant.  So if buying a pre-made salad in box works for you, then you'll like this place.  I had one of the pizzas and thought it was just OK.

    - Room service was good, prompt and timely.  However, the menu is pretty limited.

    - The room was spacious but in a largely impractical way -- it had a long "neck" on it, maybe 20 feet of hallway before you hit the room itself.  So, lots of space, but lots of it wasted.  The room itself was still nice -- with a great balcony -- and a great bed.

    - The decor was contemporary / modern but starting to get long in the tooth.  If they don't renovate in a few years, I'd start to say dated.

    - Only 1 telephone -- none at the desk -- which was a big surprise, particularly because the (only) one by the bed didn't work until I futzed with it.

    - The thing I liked least was the locked closets (2) in the room which to me indicate it's so some sort of condo ownership structure.  That is, I think someone "owns" this room and their stuff is locked in those closets.  I don't mind this -- when I know I'm renting a condo -- but find it pretty weird in a hotel.

When traveling on business I've stayed at a lot of Hilton Hotels since you pretty much know what to expect; always clean with good accommodating polite and friendly service. This particular Hilton is one of the better one located on North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard facing Fort Lauderdale Beach. The views are some of the best.

The rooms are rather simple in décor with their best feature being roomy balconies with a view. As it is an ever popular hotel especially with families, it can often times get somewhat crowded and confusing in the most maddening of ways.

When it first opened it wasn't much, certainly not one of the more fun hotels as is the next door W, but it has vastly improved with the addition of S3 (read Sun, Sand and Surf) Restaurant and bar operations.

The one problem with Hilton as well as most of the other hotels along the beach is that it is separated from the actual beach by the four lane A1A highway, but the traffic is usually slow and the drivers generally willing to stop, allowing you to cross.

It's right on the beach! Do I have to say more? The location couldn't have been better for the reasons i was there ..... to swim and relax.

ROOMS: They were clean, nicely sized and the balcony was amazing. We watched the sun rise every morning because we were angled to the beach. I didn't have a chance to use the GIANT tub but it looked fun.

POOL: I loved the pool area. It was big enough you could swim and not run into people. Lots of umbrellas for shade for fair skinned-red heads like myself! I don't think anyone was actually fighting me for shade though....ha! The waiters were nice but the drinks were heavy on the mixers so I would suggest to just order a basic cocktail or a beer.

LOCATION: The location is nice, right on the beach. We walked over and took a nice dip in the ocean. BUT I didn't like that we had to pay $20 to get a chair to sit on? What is that all about??? The hotel should provide those with a room key because seriously? $20 for a chair? No thanks.

Overall it was a good stay. The Starbucks was a nice thing to have in the hotel and it had good quick breakfast options.

A fantastic oceanfront hotel with a focus on the guest experience. The front desk staff placed me in a king suite with a beach view. The room was clean and the furniture was updated and well maintained. It was refreshing to see the spacious bathroom, jetted tub and a separate tiled shower with a heavenly shower head. Would it be strange if I took a photo of the shower head and asked Santa to bring me one for Christmas? I know, now I'm being judged for my love of the right water pressure and for believing in the jolly bearded man.

There were 2 flatscreen TVs in the room, a separate living room area, balcony, and the conveniences of a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink and a two electric burner stovetop. There were other touch points that made the stay memorable:

*if you book through a 3rd party site, let the staff know if you're a hilton honors member. You'll receive bottled water and vouchers for two complimentary beverages from the Starbucks counter at Le Marche (a nicely stocked market with cozy seating on the lobby level).

*due to a do not disturb sign on my door, housekeeping called to ensure I had enough towels, toiletries, etc.

*friendly valet, helpful with directions and offered bottled water upon departure

*received bounce back coupon under my door for a free breakfast if I returned within the month

This was an excellent Hilton property with access to convenient dining options such as Le Marche and S3 restaurant. The beach is just steps away and valet is convenient, with the only painful part being the $35 daily charge. I was so happy to be on the beach that I never made it to the pool...until next time!

The stay was ok, not great. I was surprised there was no robe in the room, the toiletries were identical to any hilton, (and there weren't any extra for the bath) and the few towels that were there were scratchy and thin. It just didn't seem like a resort.

When towels ran out at the pool, a family next to me was told to go to their room and call housekeeping. This is not the kind of service I would expect from a $450+/night resort. I was at the pool for over two hours and no one came to ask if I wanted anything to eat or drink, which was surprising for a supposed resort.

Also, every time I ask for my folio to be emailed to me, it never is. I always have to call and ask again. Only then do I receive it.

My junior suite had a nice balcony with an ocean view on the 25th floor. There were no utensils in the kitchenette. They said to ask for whatever I needed, but this should be stocked with some basic items. I was told it was for sanitation purposes but Trump hotels have no problem keeping clean items in their kitchenettes.

The overall feeling of this "resort" was that they were trying to save money at every turn. It should change its name from resort to hotel. That way, there are no expectations for higher quality or better service.

The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort has all you need for a great beach vacation! My wife and I stayed in one of the condos (residences) here for a long weekend and have nothing but great things to say. I researched Fort Lauderdale Beach hotels and resorts for weeks while planning our vacation - this place offers the best location and amenities.

The Hilton staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout the course of the weekend.

There is a restaurant on the main level (make reservations in advance of your stay), another on the 6th floor (good for breakfast or lunch by the pool) and a market that offers made-to-order breakfast and lunch, plus Starbucks coffee.

(Side note: We opted to walk next door to the W Hotel for breakfast one morning and it was fantastic!)

The room was fantastic - very spacious and clean. There was a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee maker, etc. The balcony is huge and overlooks the beach/ocean and other parts of the city to the West.

The bathroom was very nice and has a luxurious feel. There was a large bathtub and separate shower with a rain shower head (very nice!).

The beach is directly across the street and there are several crosswalks in front of the property that make it easy to get to the beach safely. There are towels for Hilton guests on the beach, but the lounge chairs and umbrellas are rented-out by a separate company (and it costs a pretty penny to rent from them).

The pool is on the 6th floor and overlooks the ocean - awesome view! Make sure you get down there early to get a chair or you'll be out of luck.

The only opportunity for improvement that I offer-up to management is the WiFi and the fact that it's so expensive. I understand that this is probably a corporate-driven decision, but in this day and age (and the nightly rates being charged), it's a bit ridiculous to charge your guests $15.00/day for WiFi. I mean, c'mon, even most McDonald's offers free WiFi today.

Despite this one complaint, we would definitely stay here again!

Sadly I believe managment relies on the location not service to fill the hotel with guests. The hotel appears to be understaffed and under trained. Especially at the pool, bar and breakfast areas.  Service is severely lacking. Breakfast food quality is poor.  Stood at Bar for over 15 min to get a drink to take back to pool area because we could not get any service in pool area. We rented a Cabana at the pool and it took over 45 min for anyone to show up and ask us if we needed anything.  Cabana was also in poor condition, dirty and rusted fixtures. Hotel is needs maintenace... Painting, caulking, new furniture etc. Hotel is showing signs of age and use. I would expect more from a Hilton property. Next time will spend the extra money for the Ritz down the street.

    Location is very good.
