Just spent the weekend at this hotel. Great accommodations. Would recommend for anyone looking to get away. The pool set up is great. The rooms are lush, had great service at check in and check out.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The view off our balcony is really nice. I also really like the clean modern furnishings and decor.

Won't stay here again. Booked a king got a double. Noisy, motel style room in the east villa overlooking the pool. Great outdoor bar on the marina, except $24 for two rum and cokes!!! Had a package and they couldn't bring it to my room. I had to wait in the lobby for it. This is a Hilton? Really?

Run as fast as you can from this property.  I had called a few days before about early check in and was told it wouldn't be a problem.  I arrived at the hotel at 1015 in the morning and the tall African American mail was checking in a mother and daughter before me.  When it was my turn I was told my room wasn't ready and that check in wasn't until 4pm and that check out wasn't for another 45 mins.  He told me he would take my phone number and call me when my room was ready. I told him I didn't have anywhere to go so I would just be hanging out in the lobby. He was going to call housekeeping to let them know I was there.  Well after 2 hours I proceeded back to the front desk to find out about my room. Mind you in the 2 hours I was waiting for my room this gentleman checked in 30+ guests.  There was a young lady who was there who proceeded to help me.  She stated that my room wasn't ready, but looked to see if there was another room.  Sure enough there was and she so gladly changed it for me.  I did ask the gentleman if he gave everyone else the same lecture he gave me about check in.  I have NEVER seen anything like this before, but he came from behind the desk and got in my face.  When I asked him again he said Yes. I told him I doubted that.  He said look around there are cameras.  Not sure what that means as they don't have audio. So needless to say the Front Desk staff is just HORRIBLE.

I did contact Hilton Honors and the two ladies I spoke to there were mortified of my experience.  The first lady apologized over and over and she got her manager on the phone as she couldn't believe it.  The manger was going to contact the hotel directly, but haven't heard from anyone here.

Most Hilton employees say Hi when you walk past them. Don't expect that here.  There are normally 5 or 6 bellman and they are standing around talking to each other. You can walk past them and they won't even say hello, good bye, or anything.

The room I have is nice, but sure lacking in housekeeping.  I am not sure when this room was dusted last, but there is dust everywhere.  The closet I don't believe has been vacuumed in some time as there was paper and other things on the floor.  The shower is lacking a good cleaning also.

The location is nice, but other than that it sure doesn't meet the Hilton standards or my standards for that fact.  It isn't worth the price and there are TONS of hotels in this area.  Also, if you order anything at the bar or the pool area they tack on a 18% service charge.  This is such a rip off.

I wish the Marriott Corp. still owned this "Resort". It would be run mush better. It was very hip looking and "Green" but that's where the beauty of our three night stay ended. On our first day, we had lunch and drinks at "G" the Marina/poolside tiki bar. We sat at a table and had to serve ourselves, put our food order in at bar, server never checked on us nor cleared the dirty dishes from our table. I went up to the bar to get our tab and brought it back to our table. Amazingly, I noticed there was an AUTO TIP of 18% included on the ticket AND the server Marianna was VERY attentive to pickup the check to collect her undeserved tip. We approached her about the tip and she said very cocky we can refuse and we said we will because we served ourselves the whole time. She said the entire resort has this rule. Makes me think they get lazy thinking they'll get a tip regardless. Our tab was $78.00 plus the 18%. No problem IF we were served at our table. I gave her a reasonable tip based on her basically showing up.

Secondly, they closed the "G" pool grill for the following two days for remodeling. THAT I wish I would have know prior to reserving.

Third, second day, housekeeping left no replacement towels of any kind and it took until 9pm to get them. Really?!?!?

I'll pass on this "Resort" in the future.

We stayed at the Hilton for 5 days on a leisure vacation and we couldn't be any happier with our choice of hotel. The hotel staff was very courteous and professional and always ready to assist you. We stayed in the West Villas and our room was spacious and very clean. We had a view that faced the marina and it was a gorgeous view from our balcony from our room. The housekeeping people were very friendly and they were very fast in cleaning the rooms! We dined at the lounge at the lobby and the gentleman that was working at the lounge was very helpful and super sweet. Overall, a great place to stay!

At 2 in the morning, it seemed like a good idea.

We were travel-weary, having experienced a 13 hour journey instead of the customary 9.  As any desert traveler knows, a puddle of piss appears an oasis.

Let me present the key highlights of our experience in order of occurrence and ludicrousness:

-- The hotel bears no Hilton signage. At least none that can be seen in the dark. This is important because when we called to say, you know, that we couldn't find it, we were informed that there was a huge Hilton banner on the building to serve as our reference point.

We finally did see the banner. The next morning, in the light of day.  But for purposes of providing directions to people in the dark? Not all that useful to mention a small banner 20 stories up that doesn't have floodlights pointed at it.

--  When we arrived, the valet attendant suggested we not admit to owning a car in order to save a few bucks.  What a fantastic idea! I'll save 20 bucks by jeopardizing the safety of my vehicle and/or all of its contents. It's a recession, not retardation, folks.

-- The reception area was unattended for too long a period of time. We resorted to calling the hotel, while standing in the lobby, to have someone come out to greet us.  Finally, someone did. Said someone didn't really "greet" but more like "grunt."

-- We requested a nonsmoking king bed room.  Although exhausted, we had enough wits about us than to bring our bags from our potentially invisible car before checking out the room.

The room smelled of smoke, cheap perfume, and a haphazard attempt at covering both of those up.

-- We requested a *really* nonsmoking king bed room.  The sketchy valet had to show it to us because the security guy wasn't to be found.

The second room given to us was occupied.

    Um, awkward.

We finally did get a nonsmoking, unoccupied room some time around 3 am.  The room itself was nice and acceptable. I particularly enjoyed the rain shower.

Given the price point and the nonpreferred location [it's not on the beach, but rather in town, by strip malls], I'd be reluctant to endure the bumbling and incompetent service of this location with so many other competitors from which to choose.

This is a very nice hotels. I would have given it 4 star but they nickle and dime you to death. Cheapest you can eat breakfast for is $18. 00. Wifi in rooms are not free. Shower is excellent! Door in bathroom will not stay open. They have a Kerurig machine in the room.

We loved this place! Extremely clean stylish rooms, nice view of the water, quiet, nice big pool, friendly people, and lots of amazing yachts to look at along the marina. At the poolside bar, there are wonderful cocktails. I am a big fan of the Hilton Punch. We got upgraded to a suite overlooking the pool with a balcony - it was lovely! The food is pretty expensive and there's nothing in close walking distance, which is why it got 4 out of 5 stars. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

If you are going on a cruise, this is a nice place to stay. It's a $10 cab ride to the ships. And cab fare from the airport is $15. If we do another cruise from Ft. Lauderdale, we will definitely stay here again.

There are a lot of positives to this hotel. One has to notice all the little things to realize that this is an impressive hotel.

The Hilton Marina is very boutique-y.  The decor in the lobby and halls are very summery, with bright woods and colors giving it a very sunny feel.  After all, it is Florida.

    The positives:
    -Keurig coffee maker
    -Plenty of electical outlets
    -Fancy doors for the bathroom/closet
-Closet lights automatically turn on upon opening a closet door
    -Decorative sink/counter/mirrors
-Walk in shower without a shower door
-Rain shower... if you don't notice the ceiling you'll be surprised when turning on the shower
-Views of either private yachts or cruise ships
    -Select rooms have balconies
    -HDTV with all HD channels
-New electronic irons with auto-retracting cords
-Comfortable beds... I don't think it's the Hilton Suite Dreams but it's pretty good.  It's also lowered, once again giving it a boutique feeling

-No places to eat around the hotel besides a couple restaurants down 17th... the food choices in the hotel are expensive
-I had a couple ants coming from my sink during my first stay
-A few times I've jammed my foot into the frame thing that the mattress sits on... OW.

Sitting back on a layover and being able to watch Monday Night Football in HD is a pretty hard thing to beat...

I don't mind my stays here at all, I just wish there were more food choices nearby.

As as Hilton Honors member, I have been a guest at numerous Hilton's throughout the country and abroad. This was BY FAR the worst Hilton I've ever been a guest at and one of the worst hotels in general, regardless of chain association. It was unclean and a few of the staff members were shady as hell. $25/day for valet vs $23/day for self parking...WTF...when the website advertised free self parking. In regards to their website, how deceptive!! The hotel is so much more rundown than what the website implies. The carpet was BEYOND DISGUSTING. I don't think they have vacuumed or clean it in years. However, the carpet did make it easier for us to locate our room (..look for the fruit punch and macaroni n' cheese stain..). The shower was dirty, as was the bed which contained black pubic hairs throughout (unfortunately not kidding). We were booked to stay six nights but decided to change to the Marriott after two - the Marriott was incredible.  I'll never return to this hotel and will think twice about my next Hilton stay.

This hotel is really beautiful and the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because of the bathrooms - which had really "modern" doors that didn't close all of the way, making it awkward if you're not staying with someone who you feel comfortable doing your business around. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and really stylish. We had a balcony overlooking the hotel and marina, and the hotel bar is right on the water. For the price of a room, I think this is a great option, although beware everything at the hotel is overpriced. The only other negative thing I would say is the beds are really small, you definitely can't share them, but they were accommodating in getting us a roll-away.

Very convenient to the cruise terminal and they have a good pool. Beautiful location next to the marina where impressive yachts are docked.  The food at the bar and restaurant is waaaay overpriced. Service is poor to middling - they seem understaffed.  This place seems very popular for the pre- and post- cruise crowds, hence busy as a result, hence the staff seems to have a tough time keeping up.  I probably would stay there a third time given the location and convenience. Just would eat somewhere else.

3 stars is good for this hotel. My husband and I stayed here pre-cruise. It is clean, comfortable and close to the port. My hubby gets a crew rate and this was a pretty nice deal. We flew in from CA on a red eye and got to the hotel at 6am. Of course it was too early to check in but we were able to drop our bags at least. We walked a mile or so down the street to a breakfast place called Joe's Cafe(nothing special) They did have a little cafe in the lobby but after reading reviews about it I didn't feel like paying $$$ for a bagel and a cup of coffee. We checked nearby restaurants and found a couple within walking distance. There is a Walgreens close by and a Ross for last minute cruise items plus it sure makes the time fly when you can't check in for multiple hours. We were lucky because we went back about 10:30 am and our room was ready. It was a tower room and had a nice view of the pool and the marina on the 10th floor. It also had a nice bathroom, shower with rain feature and yeah there is no real door on the shower. It was a chic shower.  I guess I can see why people would be a little uncomfortable with the doors in the bathroom but it's not a deal breaker...The hotel is pretty perfect if that's there only complaint. The bed was comfortable and the TV was nice. AC worked well and the room had a safe in the closet along with ironing board/iron.

My only complaint is the walls/doors are too thin!! I heard housekeeping yelling at each other in the hallway and it seemed like every hour or so they were knocking on our door. Also, we could hear our neighbor coughing most of the night.

If you are looking for a nice hotel to stay before or after your cruise this hotel is great for the price and location.

One more tip: There was a restaurant called Kelly's Landing where we had dinner.
About a mile or so walk. Great place, great food, worth checking it out.

P.S. Hotel does not have an airport shuttle so you have to take a cab.
    $15 including tip

The Hilton Marina IS a beautiful hotel, with a spectacular harbor view (if you ask for it), and we did get a good deal on Priceline. But there were a few things we considered drawbacks that Priceline did not tell us about

$19 per day parking fee for uncovered parking
    $13 wireless fee
No bathtubs in any of the "hotel tower" rooms, and a waiting list for the "villa" rooms that do have them.
-the fancy shower has only half a door
-the only towel racks are inside the shower
-We  were there for a two night stay. The first night, we requested that our room be changed and were told that we had to ask again tomorrow so we could be put on the waiting list. Later on, we decided that we didn't have time to go to all that trouble and decided just to stay in the room we had. Much to our surprise, housekeeping started coming in at 8 am (even though we had a do not disturb sign out), because the computer told them that our room was now unoccupied!

If these things don't matter to you, it's a great place to stay.

We booked this hotel to visit family over 4th of July and to celebrate my husband's birthday. The room is very clean and has a very comfortable king sized bed. It has Keurig coffee maker, a flat screen tv, and ipod docking radio. Since it is a pet friendly hotel, the room came with a nice comfortable dog bed, pet dish and a food mat.  Our room faced the pool with a nice balcony which our dog loved.  The gym with 24 hour access is next door, yet we could not hear it when people are in there working out. It is lovely to take our dog for a walk by the intercoastal way and watch all the boats go by.  Our dog went everywhere with us at the hotel. House keeping is great. When I told the house keeping maid to come back  later at about 11 am, often that would mean we will not get their service, and I was pleasantly surprised that our room was cleaned by 2pm when we returned to our room after lunch. The pool is heated and lovely but since it was 4th of July it was pretty crowded in the day. The pool bar opened at 11 am. The staff here is friendly, attentive and remembers what we drank each time we went up to the bar and made sure our dog had water when with us. We could order food here but the selection is limited. The concierge at this hotel is amazing, she was very helpful in providing information to pet friendly establishments for us to meet up with our family member. She even gave us discounts cards for the establishments. The day of my husband's birthday, the concierge had a box of chocolate, a bottle of water and a lovely card delivered to our room to wish him a happy birthday. This lovely gesture made our stay even more memorable.
This is a wonderful pet friendly establishment, with many amenities to offer. The only thing I wish is that it is free self parking for guests. But that is not a deal breaker for us to keep coming back to this hotel if we are in Fort Lauderdale.

This is my first stay at a Hilton Hotel so I wasn't sure what to expect and came in with an open mind. Stayed here for 4 days for a quick getaway. The hotel is located in a decent area, my GPS had me go over the 17th street bridge and I could have turned before going through all that traffic however I blame google, not the Hotel. I digress.

Anyhow, the hotel room was pretty, we had a King size Tower room with a View of the pool. The patio has sliding doors to feel the breezes which I enjoyed. The room smelled wonderful with the help of the toiletry products they use. I loved the shower head, it made it easier to wash my hair. I hoped the bathroom would be a little bigger but as others have stated its really for the use of one person at a time. The hotel is a little older so it could be updated, but it's nothing too bad. The bed was very comfortable.

As far as views go you have the pool and sights of people docking their yachts along side the hotel and at their houses across the way and a pretty good view of the cruise ships leaving the port as well. So no complaints.

We never ate on property so I cannot comment on the food or the bar, however guest services and housekeeping were very prompt with any requests I had, towels extra items, etc. There was one issue when our keys stopped working on the 2nd day there after a 5 hour day at Sawgrass Mills we were not happy about having to walk as much as we did all the way back to the main lobby and 3 flights of stairs because the elevators were out of service 50% of our stay.

This hotel is definitely for the older crowd. Not many young adults there, however there may have been a Senior citizens Gin Rummy convention there as it was a Grandpa's paradise! But next time we will stay at the Hilton Beach front property as that seemed to be a little more up to our speed plus it was near more bars and restaurants. The beach is about 5-10 minutes away from this property where the action is and Oas Las Blvd is not too far from the hotel as well with many food options and boutique shopping.

it smells like vacation when you walk up to the hotel. what does that mean? i'm not sure... but i sure felt like i was on vacation when i got to the lobby. lol

it's so pretty here! everyone is super nice and i think that is so important when you check in at a hotel. they ask if you have a hilton hhonors membership and offer to sign you up on the spot if you don't. since the pook and i stay at the hyatt usually... we already have our number on file.

the rooms are pretty and i will also say they are spacious. i don't take up much room so maybe it's just my opinion about the size. there's tons of room on the sink counter. yes.. i totally spread all my things out just cuz i could. lol. the bath products are from crabtree and evelyn but they don't smell so great so bring your own! they have cute little prepacked cotton balls and q tips. super cute! and a full sized hair dryer is available for you too.

the beds are quite comfy and REALLY fun to jump on. yes.. i have to jump on the bed because i'm not allowed to at home. lol. the pillows were a little too soft for me.. i had a hard time falling asleep.

the TVs are LG (yay!) and have all the channels you wanna drown yourself in while you lay in bed. the coffee maker is keurig which is cool. i would recommend running the machine with just water to clean out the system if you dont want your tea to have a little coffee flavor in it.

originally.. i had planned to eat dinner at china grill in the hotel but it was so expensive (as most hotels are i guess) so i went with a friend to find dinner outside.

i would definitely recommend this if you want to stay near the airport but still be close to the beach.

I used to really like this hotel, but now when I think of it I can feel tiny bugs crawling on my skin... YUCK!

Not good. We got booked here as part of a cruise package for an overnight before the cruise. It's late on a saturday. The service at the desk and at the bar absolutely sucks. I wish we were staying someplace better. This is my third experience at a skanky Hilton. When did Hilton become so terrible. When i was a kid Hilton meant quality. I'm starting to think the chain as a whole has gone downhill over time. The others were in Chicago and long beach. I think I need to get a clue and stop booking at Hiltons.

I was expecting a four star experience for what I was paying.  That was not the case.  I also noticed that housekeeping did not fully clean the room.  I found several items from the previous occupant in the room not to mention wet towels in the balcony. Also be forewarned that they don't tell you that you will be billed for parking...you get that surprise under your door the day you check out and they make no apologies for not informing.  At that point you have to dispute it with your credit card company.  Is this the kind of experience you should have at a Hilton?

Wow, this place is quite the find in Fort Lauderdale!

It's significantly cheaper than the beach front hotels yet provides practically the same access to the beaches, and definitely more access to the rest of the Fort Lauderdale area.

How's this possible you ask?  Well, it has its own water taxi stop!  Now while this isn't a review for the water taxi (which is amazing), it is important that there is a stop steps from the hotel.  With the stop, you can stay at a hotel for less $, but still be able to hit the beaches, restaurants, and bars easily and cheaply.

But what of the hotel itself?  Amazing.  The decor was totally mod which I can never have enough of, which made it a super pleasant surprise.  We had a room overlooking both the pool area and the marina, complete with a private balcony.  This was courtesy of signing up for the (free!) Hilton Honors program.  The room itself had a rainfall shower which I'm a total sucker for, and a sickeningly comfortable bed that I had to force myself to get off of.

The pool area was great, with an outdoor bar, and a cool lounge area that had a huge out door fireplace that ran down the middle of couches and lounge chairs.

Now, of course while the room was cheaper than the beach front hotels, I'm sure the rest cost just as much.  Drinks were not cheap at the hotel, nor was the food, but I can't really knock off a star for that, it's to be expected.

I wish I could say I'll be staying there again soon, but unfortunately I don't have any trips planned.  But if I do, I know where I'm staying!

I stay at Hiltons all over the Southeast for work but this one is by far my favorite! Very modern rooms and great views of the city and yachts in the water. The outside bar is very cool too as it sits right on a private marina. I always seem to meet some interesting people at that bar too.  Additionally, the rates (at least in the off-season) are cheaper than almost any other Hilton branded property I've been to.

We stayed here over the weekend in the East Villas with a view of the pool - even in January with the weather not scorching hot there are always a few hot babes by any pool in South Florida.

The water taxi stop is practically right outside the door, under the bridge.  Being not far from Port Everglades, lots of well-heeled cruise ship passengers seemed to overnight here.

    I absolutely love this hotel.

I stay here as part of a flight crew, so I practically LIVE here.   EVERY visit I get this overwhelming sense of relaxation when i get my room.

Big tip...ask for a room overlooking the pool.  The view is worth any extra money as is the balcony.

The cafe downstairs is quite pricey, but offers a lot.   The staff are always great!

ps...a double espresso shouldn't be the price of 2 espressos...yeah, it is a double shot, but it is the same cup and just a different button.  $7 for a double shot is RIDICULOUS by any means.

descent hotel.  good customer service.  the food is pretty good at the bar by the pool.  The room was descent with a sliding door that had a view of the pool.  The air conditioning was nice.  It would have been a prime spot, a room on the corner with only one neighbor right next to the gym and pool.  Except the downside was that our tub wouldn't drain, so when we showered, we were in a pool of yellow water ankle deep.  Also, there was no shuttle service.

I recently stayed here during a summer trip to Florida the overall location of the hotel was great very convienent close to the beach and highway enterances. The room was decent and the view was amazing but i expected more from this hotel considering ive stayed at many Hilton Hotels in the past. This hotel needs a little TLC fresh paint in the hallways etc. I liked that the hotel had a bar in the lobby as well as out by the pool. I did not mind paying $25 a night for parking because other hiltons i have stayed at in the past have similar parking costs. overall the experience i had here was decent but the hotel could make a few minor changes to spruce the place up a bit, for the price i got i was happy.

This Hilton does not feel like the other Hiltons, this place was very boutiquey.  I LOVED the location and our view was super awesome!  The hallway wall paper was mellow yellow and neutral, which gave it a giorgio armani colors circa 1990 off of Rodeo Dr. feel.

    The pluses for the hotel;
-closet doors and bathroom door were unique
-the lights of the closet turn on and off when you close or open the closet door.
    -Keurig coffee maker
    -the bathroom was very modern
-flat screen HD TV w/ HD channels
    --Select rooms have balconies
    -Comfortable beds...love down comforters!
    -great bar by the pool

    The negatives;
-I kept banging my ankel against the foot of the bed, it was one of those low frame, low profile beds
-They were constructing my wing of the hotel, so you had to be careful of the wet paint, watch your step b/c they were changing the marble floors (soo annoying)
-$22 a day to park your car or $19 to valet

Other than that, everything else was pretty superb.

Not what I was expecting for the price and brand of hilton. Im a frequent traveler with hilton, and the room quality seemed worse then a holiday inn express. There wasn't a shower door so I was cold taking my shower, a first time for me.  The bathroom was dirty, there was mold-like dark scum in the shower and the shower head was rusting.  Our lights didnt work until we shut the bathroom door and they all popped on at the same time. The beds were ehhh ok.  When we called down to get breakfast times, we had to wait for six minutes to get a person. The good is our room had an awesome view on a high floor balcony of the main bldg. I stayed here for Hilton honors points but frankly am regretting it for the price. It's one of those places you will forget as soon a week after you stay and will say 'ya not worth it' next time.

I stayed here a few years ago prior to a cruise with my wife and another couple and we had a really great stay, good food, all around good service.  Oh how the mighty have fallen.  Let me say I am a Hilton Honors gold, I spend a fair share of my life in hotel rooms.  My recent stay was a huge let down.  This is a nice property.  But staff and service really let us down.  Resturant service was horrible.  I was honestly disappointed.  I can not say that I would ever consider staying here again.

7/5 update: Since I wrote my review, I contacted the Hilton through its corporate website, Facebook and Twitter. The only response I got was via Twitter, who said a manager would call me within two business days. Not two or three... but seven days later on 7/4, I received a phone from Gerard, the night-time manager, who said Lisa had only just forwarded him my complaint the previous day.

After agreeing that finding bugs in our beds justified a complimentary stay, he offered to call Expedia to refund my money. A few hours later, we got an email from Expedia and Gerard confirming our refund. Apparently, it's a simple process -- all the manager has to do is call Expedia and give them your confirmation number. While I'm happy Gerard was able to make this happen, this also means Lisa lied when she told me she couldn't comp our stay because we booked it through Expedia. I'm guessing Lisa just didn't want to make the effort.

Morale of the story: If you book/pre-pay through a third party and have a negative experience warranting a refund, don't let a manager tell you it's impossible to get your money back.

Stay somewhere else. This is without a doubt the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced. The two major issues: BUGS in our beds and a super-shady housekeeper who failed to clean our room one day, then stole our rental car keys as payback after we complained to management.

First, the bugs -- they were long skinny bugs with wings. We find them crawling in the sheets and inside the pillow cases. Disgusting! The crazy thing is when we report it to the front desk, they react as if we asked for another towel. The guy simply says he'll have security bring us key cards to a different room. No shock. No surprise. No apology. Nothing. When we speak to the manager, Lisa, the next morning, she simply describes it as "highly unusual" and then suggests we should be happy with our free upgrade.  After I press her, she agrees to comp our parking and give us breakfast vouchers.  Lisa also tells us she will "personally make sure the rest of [our] stay is perfect."

Later that night, we come back to our room around midnight and our room is exactly as we left it! Housekeeping failed to clean it so I'm guessing what Lisa said was an empty promise. Since Housekeeping is gone for the day, the front desk moves us again. Three rooms in three nights.

I go see Lisa again the next morning and she tells me the housekeeper claims we had our "do not disturb sign" on the door all day. I tell her the sign was hanging inside our door when we returned. If we really left it outside, wouldn't it still be there when we returned? I have better things to do than to make false allegations about a housekeeper.  What probably happened is the housekeeper was unhappy that we left our room at noon and decided to write down we had our sign up all day instead of returning in the afternoon to clean the room like she's supposed to. In other words, she failed to do her job then lied about it. Awesome. The housekeeper manager is called down, who says she will speak with the offending maid immediately.

I go back to the room and discover the keys to our rental car are missing. We search everywhere in our room and empty every bag. Nothing. We then go into our previous room. The housekeeper (the one who failed to clean our room the day before) had just finished cleaning it. We ask security to let us in and we search every nook and cranny of that room, even picking up cushions and moving all the tables. We call lost and found. We then asked the housekeeper if she found it while she was cleaning. Security asks her. The housekeeping manager asks her. She tells us all, no. We searched our second room three separate times. No luck.   We finally have to leave our third room at 4pm for housekeeping, and when we return, the keys have mysteriously turned up in our backpack!!! The same backpack we emptied three times and found nothing! I'm guessing if we had a hidden camera in the room, it would've showed our housekeeper returning the keys while she straightened our room. SHADY!

If all this happened at a Motel 8, I wouldn't bat an eye. But the Hilton is supposed to be so much better than this. I doubt I'll ever stay in a Hilton again. There are so many other hotel chains -- why give them my business when they do not value it? Lisa needs training in customer service and that thieving housekeeper needs to be axed. There is no excuse for stealing property of a hotel guest. The fact that she returned it does nothing to minimize or excuse her inappropriate behavior.

Everything except the lobby looks so dirty! The white walls have brown spots, the carpets don't look vacuumed and there was rust in the shower. The walls also seem to be paper thin- I could here the music word for word in the room next to me and not to mention could also hear my neighbors having sex for a hour+. Will not come back and would not recommend.

Our first room was two doubles when we were supposed to get a queen/king. I can live with that I guess, but then I see that the bathroom floor is flooded with toilet water and I demanded a different room. This "new" room is in their main tower and not any better in terms of cleanliness, as there is a big gob of dried "something" on the headboard above our pillows. Dis-Gus-ting. I added a photo of the mystery.

This place is super sweet. There are great views every way you look. The lobby is great. The rooms are fun, trendy, and have a great balcony for enjoying the view and warm weather.

If you are taking a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale, then you can't do better than this. You could walk over to your embarkation in a matter of minutes. You can even see how your ship slides gracefully into dock.

It's close to the beach, A1A, I-95, lots of shops and many great restaurants.

    What a gorgeous hotel.

I've never stayed at a Hilton hotel before and this one really impressed me.  It's a huge and airy hotel with a modern decor touch.

The lobby area consists of a large, round shag rug with clean and bright colored furniture with interesting overhead lighting.  There were plenty of lounges around with a couple of bars and restaurants located inside the hotel.

Our rooms both had balconies which overlooked the huge marina.  There were plenty of yachts parked nearby for you to admire and gaze at.  We had the privilege of seeing the well known yacht, Mr. Terrible, parked right out front of our balcony area.  It was fun to talk to the crew onboard from our balcony while they worked on some housekeeping for the owner.

The beds inside the rooms were extremely comfortable.  The bathrooms were large and clean as well as the entire room itself.  Each room had a flat screen TV with plenty of channels to choose from.

For breakfast each morning we went to one of the hotel's restaurants, China Grill.  They offered a buffet with waiter service which was perfect because there was something for everyone.  Everything from cereal to fruit to pancakes and belgian waffles.  This was the only restaurant that we visited while staying here but the service was great and the decor inside the restaurant was beautiful.

This hotel is conveniently located close to other restaurants (Bravo, Outback Steakhouse, Chuck's Steakhouse, etc.) as well as a Walgreens for those people who might need to pick up some essentials that they forgot to pack.  All within walking distance!

We visited the outdoor bar a couple of times for a late night drink which was very peaceful.  It was great to listen to the marina while enjoying a refreshing drink before heading up to bed.  This hotel also has a water taxi that stops by that takes you up and down the marina to different locations, for those people who wish to do some sight seeing.

The valet guys out from of the hotel were very friendly towards us and made conversation while we waited for our cabs.

I took one star off of my rating because my boyfriend and I ended up having to switch rooms on our second night due to the fact that ants had infested one of our chairs in the room.  Luckily, we didn't use the chair at all!  The front desk was gracious about the matter and sent someone to spray the room and gave us new keys to a room a few doors down.  Florida does have tropical rain so sometimes bugs, etc. will make their way indoors somehow.  But this happens rarely at this hotel.

We will be staying here again next time we come back to Fort Lauderdale!

Very disappointing . Room was old and tired like the rest of the place . Bed hard, room service appalling , dirty dishes left outside rooms for days. Food below average. Best thing about the place was the outside bar however trying to get drink from the grumpy staff was painful . Next time ill stay closer to the beach , at least you get a view.

HORRIBLE PLACE! Not worth the Hilton name or rating! Rooms are decent however the showers are really bad! Absolutely hated the shower heads because you can't take a shower comfortably without having to readjust it. We also found roaches in the bathroom. When we called the front desk they said ok but didn't do anything about it. Also the website says there's free parking but you'll be surprised to find that it is $21 a day! The only gd thing about this place is there pool and the bar. Wouldn't stay here again for the price your paying. I would have had a better stay at a best Western!!

Delicious location and hotel - especially if you wave your Priceline magic wand to get a $53 a night deal.  Fort Lauderdale is not that big of a city and driving about 6 minutes from the airport puts you at this hotel and in area populated by large yachts and larger waterside homes.

The hotel is made up of three buildings:  West Villa, Tower, and East Villa.  The West Villa fronts the two-story parking garage on one side and the Intercoastal Waterway on the other.  The tower faces the SE 17th Causeway (for a drawbridge, it is actually quite pretty) and pool area and Intercoastal, while the East Villa faces the pool area and main Intercoastal.  For sheer joy, ask for either an East Villa room or a higher-floor tower room.  The villas seem to be no more than 3 or 4 floors high.  Valet parking is $22/day, uncovered self-parking is $19 with in-and-out privileges.  Internet is $13/day.

From my welcome at the front desk to each staff member I encountered, they each acknowledged me warmly - I don't know if it is a symptom of the larger economic funk of South Florida or just a mark of their service at this Hilton but it was nice to be treated so swell.  Assigned to the sixth floor facing the waterway, I had a great view of the pool, the marina, and the waterway (I've posted pics).

The hotel is decorated in soothing beach neutrals with a few splashes of color.  The bathrooms are outfitted with a half-wall of glass and a rainshower feature where the water literally rains down straight on you from the ceiling.  A water-pik type wand is available, too, but mine didn't work so it was two-a-days in the rainshower.  Really refreshing after a long day in the hot Florida sun.

The tony Las Olas strip is about 5 minutes away via the A1A which also takes you past some lovely beaches with some of Nature's lovely creatures either playing volleyball, running, or just standing there shirtless.  Miles and miles of delectable water and sand can be found along this road.  It was so tempting and (more importantly) relaxing, even for an avowed "mountain" man like myself.

Another star property among many star properties in a laid-back Florida city.  I'd love to come back as the temps cool, Northerners flock south, and shirts come off.  Oh wait, the boys already had their shirts off.

The hotel has a nice, comfortable atmosphere with clean rooms. Overall I enjoyed the stay but at one point there was no hot water available, something we discovered mid-shower. The parking gate was also having issues and I couldn't easily get in and out of the lot. Not a major issue but a bit irritating. Overall a nice stay.

First: Staff here are very well-trained, very helpful, very cheerful, and very professional. If only their hotel lived up to them.

My "suite" was smaller than most hotel rooms, and was just one room and a bath (a friend staying in a larger regular room at the nearby Hyatt found the term "suite" for what I had to be hilarious). No towel bar or hook outside of the shower. The shower itself is just weird--two showerheads, neither of which is terribly effective, and it doesn't close. There's no door. So unless you're under the water (which, by the way, takes forever to heat up), you're freezing.

In-room safes are too small for a 15-inch Macbook, which is unfortunate. And the rooms are a bit beat-up, to be honest. Other reviews reference Keurig machines, but my "suite" had a no-name pod coffeemaker that made the tiniest cups I've ever seen.

There are shockingly few amenities at this hotel, especially as it fronts the Intercoastal and is across the street from the convention center. There is no lobby shop of any kind--your only option for a snack or drink is the lobby bar ($8 beer, anyone?), and if you need Band Aids or aspirin or a toothbrush, you are clear out of luck. There are no vending machines either.

The last straw was when I called to ask for a late check-out and was told sure thing...for a mere $25 per hour. I love you, Hilton, but this is my first and last stay in this hotel.

Seriously one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Stayed here with a group for a trade show.  There was so much confusion on checkin that my group leader spent ages on the phone trying to sort out my reservation. After being told by the manager on duty that our reservations were clear and would be put on the group account we checked in to a seriously dirty room.  The new Asian restaurant in the hotel was so slow it was almost 2.5 hours for dinner.  The last morning of our stay the desk in the room collapsed under the weight of my eyeshadow and mascara. On check out, the bellman never came for our bags and the exact same manager that checked us in told us that my personal card was charged the full amount of the room. Full contradiction to what she said less than 36 hours earlier. More epic run around with my group leader and a hotel exec and it still was never sorted out.  Such disorganization means I will never stay in this hotel again if my life or any one else's depended on it.

My husband, myself and my two kids (ages 11 & 13) stayed here with a group of 480 dancers (plus their families) for the half time show of the 2013 New Year's Day Orange Bowl.  I would at first possibly consider saying our experience at this hotel was poor because of the size of our group, HOWEVER this hotel is strategically positioned across from the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center AND from the Port of Ft. Lauderdale (where all the cruise ships sail out of) so they are purposely marketing themselves as if they can HANDLE large groups.

    - Checkin scheduled at 4pm... didn't get room key until 8pm and then it was not cleaned/made up from prior guests until 11:30pm... we were not even offered a drink or anything while we waited... just sat in the lobby with our luggage from 4pm until 8pm when we put our luggage in the room, went to dinner and were told the room would be ready when we returned at 10pm... only to return to having to wait another HOUR AND A HALF to finally get into our room at 11:30pm
    - First and second nights only 3 towels and no wash clothes in room (after we had to specify names of each of the four people in the room, 2 adults/2 children)... next two nights only ONE towel in room, no wash clothes or face towels... had to call front desk (on HOLD each time for several minutes) to request towels (4th night they actually could only give us one more towel - total of 2 towels... because they said they were short on towels for the day)... EVEN after I left a $5 tip for housekeeping each of those days with a note requesting 4 sets of towels
    - Housekeeping did not come to our room until 5-7pm each day to makeup our rooms... so inconvenient because we'd been out at beach or touring all day and back to the room at that time to get ready to go out to dinner.  They would knock at our door every 10 or so minutes asking if we were ready to leave yet so they could come in to makeup the room.
    - Shower does not have door... just stable half panel of glass that does not restrain water from leaving shower area allowing water to go ALL OVER bathroom floor and out bathroom to door area and even into guest hallway
    - Bathrooms never appeared clean (mirrors smudged) and shower showed mold in tiles
    - Our friends bathroom had tons of flying bugs coming from the shower drain constantly... they called maintenance all four days we visited and maintenance said it was a 'design flaw' in the showers and the overflow of water out of the shower and the bugs were unavoidable
    - Furniture banged up... room in desperate need of updating... knobs on dresser were falling off and did not open easily, night stand top scratched up, metal bases of lamps were a little spotted rusty
    - Doors to bathroom are two sliding frosted glass doors that do not fully close and allow area around doors where you can see right into bathroom, no privacy at all.
    - Hallways and entry to rooms have low ceilings.
    - Beds do not have box springs, just mattress on low platform... double beds only, not queen beds.
    - Rooms are extremely small... smaller than any other hotel we've ever been to with 2 beds
    - Carpets are FILTHY both in rooms and hallways (stained and just overall dirty)... our white socks were dirty from walking on carpets in room
    - Only three SMALL elevators in all of hotel and usually only one working at a time... had to CONTINUALLY take stairs to 6th floor (14 floors in main tower of hotel) or wait for elevator for about 7-10 min... staircase NOT made for guests as they are old, smelly dirty with pipes.
Elevator areas on each floor very dark with low ceilings... elevators are horribly small and dirty.
    - Laundry had two washers and only two of four working dryers (lint screens on dryers were all ripped and equipment looked in bad shape although they worked)
    - Internet randomly complimentary or would ask us to pay via the website... never consistent and VERY slow
    - Concierge area was messy with one plastic display for random brochures that looked like they were all thrown in there together
    - Lobby has WHITE 'leather' couches that were dirty and worn
    - Hard to get any service at pool area for drinks... and it wasn't busy at all
    - Buffet breakfast was HORRIBLE... scrambled eggs, greasy sausage or bacon, pastries, flat tasteless plain bagels (with TWO toasters for 700+ people), INSTANT coffee (first day), orange juice (no fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal, oatmeal, milk????)

Only good things were the valet parking (only $25/night) was quick and friendly... air conditioning in room worked... views from room were very nice along intercoastal... location across from Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center, Port of Ft. Lauderdale (where cruise ships sail out of) and on 17th Street was ideal.

My partner and I stayed here the night before a cruise. We paid $126 that included all fees and taxes. We had a Grand View room in the West Villas wing. It overlooked the marina.

The room had all the modern amenities and included some we didn't expect like a Keurig and an iPod clock radio.

The room was fine for what we paid. We would stay here again for sure however would probably look for something else first. I'll mention the hits and the misses of our stay.

    - comfortable beds with lots of great pillows.
    - large, clear tv picture
    - nice dock surrounding the place for an evening stroll.
    - lively bar down by the pool and water.

    - cluster $&@/ in the lobby at check in. There were a million people all over the place. The lobby is just too small.
    - although the rooms appeared to have been updated, they appeared worn. Massive turnover due to proximity of port equals wear and tear. But I expected a bit better.
    - noise was a problem on the marina side. People live directly beside and across from the hotel. Someone was having a party on their boat and noise travels VERY easily in water. Ask for a room on a high floor.

Again, it was fine for what we paid. Just not a top pick for us for a pre cruise stay.

I was flying to Ft Lauderdale from LA  and then leaving next day.
It was a quick overnight stay.

Got to hotel at about 8:30 PM and lo and behold the desk clerk said the room was not ready??  Really at 8:30 PM?

Not too worry said the clerk, I'll give you a better room, really?
The room was so far from the front desk I needed a golf cart. Plus no one there to help with bags, until I asked anyone who looked like they worked there for help.

Got to room, Only one light worked. No TV remote. One towel, no hair dryer etc etc.
Everyone was polite but the lack of basic amenities in a $200 room, was atrocious.
Plus i left a Sonicare $140 toothbrush on the sink and they couldn't find it several hours later. Sure!!

    Plus the parking was $20.00!!

The location was fine, on the marina. Would I stay there again: NO WAY

The grounds of this hotel are absolutely beautiful, and if you are going to the convention center it is very convenient.  Unfortunately the service leaves much to be desired.  I was there for 5 days, and the cafe ran out of soy milk on day two.  The barista suggested I go with a non-fat latte instead.  I explained to her this was not an option as I am lactose intolerant.  She assured me that they would have soy milk the next day.  Sure enough, next day, no soy milk.  On my last day they still did not have any soy milk.  After I expressed my disappointment they finally produced some.  In today's age I find it surprising that a hotel would allow itself to run out of something for so many days and not do anything about it.  While this was annoying, it is not the reason for my 2 star rating.

After my conference I needed to ship back several packages to my office.  I do this at least once per month from various hotels and have never had an issue.  A week after my conference there were still no packages.  I went to track the packages and UPS had no record of them.  I called the hotel manager in a complete panic, as the packages included equipment worth thousands of dollars.  The manager took my info and said he would look into it - I never heard from him again.  Several days later the boxes were in the UPS system, apparently the hotel had hung onto them for 9 days before turning them over to UPS.  I called back the same manager and left a message to again see why they had held onto the packages for so long - he never returned my call.

Needless to say, for such a beautiful hotel it is a shame they can't get it together.  I found other service aspects disappointing as well, but these were the most note-worthy.

16 years ago my wife and I had our wedding reception here and we stayed in the honeymoon suite. Fast forward to present day with a 14 year old boy and 11 year old girl in tow we came back to where it all began..lol.

My has this place changed not only in the name from Marriott to Hilton, but in looks. Everything is very modern. I want personally thank Brittney who set us up with our reservation and picked out an awesome room with a view to kill (see pics). Thanks Brittney and you deserve Employee of the Month:).

Let's talk showers.....Man I love a good shower and the rainmaker shower head which is mounted flush on the ceiling is to die for. It felt like I was showering in the rain. I need one of these things in my house.

The bedding was as soft as soft could be and the view from the floor to ceiling windows was so f'ing cool. We could see all the cruise ships docking and later pulling out. Plus our balcony wrapped around so we had views facing south and east.

The pool bar G was fun to hang out at. I need to see if they are listed on Yelp so I can do a review. They have a cool 6 dollar Chicken Wing Challenge with this Napalm Inferno Sauce that crushed my buddy Justin (see pic). That was some crazy $hit, but fun to watch.

Overall, this hotel is a true oasis in our concrete jungle. Remember to tell Brittney that Dan sent you and if you decide to do the Chicken Wing Challenge message me so I can come and watch. Stay Hungry!

There is only one restaurant in the hotel: A spendy sushi place. You have to walk or taxi a half mile for anything else; Shula's (great burgers) and Bravo (decent/modest Italian). No airport shuttle (a couple miles away)! Room 802 was noisy: weird "breathing" sound from some AC machine all night. But nice pool. It seems the hotel caters to local business meetings/dinners. Yes, nice view of inland waterway and mega-yachts (drool). Be sure to take the yellow water taxi cruise. One loop goes to Hollywood (boardwalk, beach), the other to Ft. Lauderdale.

I loved this place and would for sure stay again.  Actually I did...  I was booked for a stay at another Hilton in Ft. Lauderdale about a week after this 1st visit and changed it so I could stay here again.

Stay in a TOWER room.  Those rooms have "rain head" showers.  Oh my - so amazing I did not want to ever get out!  Relaxing - just as if you are under a waterfall.

The views were wonderful... however one side is better than the other - I forget if it was even or odd but the side overlooking the pool/marina is nicer than the side looking out to the drawbridge and convention center.

TIP for the views - book the highest number floor and room you can even if that means staying with two double beds when it is only one person traveling.  I believe it was rooms ending with 28 and 29 - those have wrap around balconies so the views are the best - and you have only one room adjacent so I had zero problems with noise.

    Water Taxi!
Nice tourist opportunity - the water taxi has a stop at this hotel.  And you CAN drink on the water taxi (no smoking).  Really fun way to leave the car and see the city.   Great for a date night option.

    Hotel Bar
Loved the outdoor bar down by the pool.  Very close to a lot of the boats.  The bar staff were friendly and poured a bit on the heavy side... just keep an eye on your receipt before you tip!  I didn't notice till it was too late that there is already a 22% tip INCLUDED - so DON'T DOUBLE TIP (like I did).

Although the property is showing signs of age, and our East Villa room (3322) had several maintenance issues; clogged sink, broken light in the shower, no security lock. Vicki at the front desk stepped up, and handled the situation flawlessly. We were upgraded to the 11th floor overlooking the Intracoastal, and two days of valet parking were reimbursed. Vicki was calm, apologetic, and professional.  The valet parking team were also very professional. We never waited for our car, and we were greeted by name, coming and going, even when the hotel was crowded with cruise passengers and conventioneers.

The room was attractive, yet showed some age, but the furnishings, Hilton bed, crisp linens, rain shower and LG TV make for a very comfortable room.

The hotel's location is super convenient, away from the beach traffic, but close to Riverwalk, and Las Olas Blvd.

Great service, comfy room and an ideal location.

I don't think all rooms are created equal. I was in the East villa. This was no good. Other parts of the hotel were renovated. This was not. The bathroom was, but the rest of the room badly needed updating. It was rusty throughout. The door needed either replaced to updated. The bed was low on a small platform so I kept stubbing my toes. The gym was small and all the treadmills had rust. An Elliptical kept squeaking, but the bikes seemed good.

I liked the Keurig in my room. And the staff was friendly. I am a Hilton guy, haven't been less than Gold with them in awhile and was disappointed in the quality. I've stayed in worse hotels, but I've stayed in many better ones.

This is one of my favorite hotels.
Located on a marina, it is a great run to the beach.
The restaurant located in the lobby is fantastic.
The staff is professional and cordial.
It's Fort Lauderdale at its best.
Interesting clientele. From all over the world, and visiting for all different reasons.
It's also got one of the best hotel pools in North America.
Modern and trendy - I like it.

checking into the hotel was very kind and peaceful.  the lobby is very invitIng

try to sushi it's actually the sushi chef is young not Japanese the very smart well trained delicious food.  what is the tuna tartare it's fabulous

the pool doesn't have a Jacuzzi maybe you don't need one because it's so warm here in Fort Lauderdale but that would have been a plus

the internet is for you but only for the first 24 hours

there's no spa but be sure to order a massage if you stay here.  it's $125 an hour but its well worth it make sure you ask for Jasmine she's amazing.

overall four star only because I would rather been in Miami, but this is a great hotel

A dump of a hotel "trying to look good".
Smells like urine, carpets are gross, and reptiles crawl the walls. No joke.
Pros? Staff is nice, it's cheap, and close to the airport.
Perfect for a frat-house mentality group of kids wanting to crash anywhere other than a run-down motel.

The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is a decent hotel, but it leaves much to be desired.

When you enter the lobby, you feel like a fabulous hotel experience is awaiting you. The ceiling lets gorgeous sunlight into the entryway, and the water sparkles just outside. Everything is very polished and refreshing-feeling.

The concierge and front-desk staff were very kind and accommodating...at least, they were to me. They certainly got frustrated with some of the people in front of me. I can't say I blame them, but it's not the mark of good business to get outwardly frustrated with guests.

The front-desk staff placed me in a waterfront room with a balcony, which I was very excited about until I got to the room. The water was nice, but the view wasn't the oceanscape they'd made it out to be and the balcony was flooded and dirty. The room itself was clean...though after about an hour I began to notice remnants of dried gunk on surfaces and little hairs...a gross reminder that yes, in fact, other people had stayed in my room. Also the walls are REALLY THIN. This did not concern my loud Italian neighbors.

The prices for parking ($21/day) and Internet ($10/day for average service or $15/day for premium) are quite high (especially since the room isn't doing Hilton any favors for creating a quality stay). But, the charges for parking and internet seem pretty standard for this price range in Ft. Lauderdale. It's just a drag.

All that said, my room served its purpose. It was a place to stay. The bed was comfy, there was a TV, the tub worked nicely, and I felt safe. It wasn't terrible, but I probably won't stay here again. I recommend searching for a more quality experience elsewhere.

Quite possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed.

I stayed at this hotel mid January and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. For some reason I got the impression that everyone there was working to make the place mediocre at best... and it turned out worse.

But to start out with the pros, the best thing I liked about this place was the views. We had a room facing north, overlooking the marina and out to the intercostal. You could see the ocean and the downtown skyline which looked really nice at night. I also enjoyed not having constantly sign in in order to access the internet. The location itself is decent and the shower had an additional shower-head that was detachable. I also like having the option of parking my own car.

Now, for the cons... where do I start?

Unclean- I wasn't convinced our rooms were being vacuumed. I also remember going out onto the balcony on the first night and seeing potato-chip crumbs on the table as well as dried up salsa spills. I thought to myself "I'm staying here a week. I wonder how long until housekeeping notices and cleans it up"... It stayed after we left and is likely there right now, while I submit this review. No biggie, right?

TV- The TV had a few local channels as well as ESPN, TNT, TBS, etc... but no HBO (as advertised). We also had no programming to order and watch movies.

Outdated bathrooms- To be honest, the bathrooms made the rooms seem like a "polished turd". The shower didn't have a door so slippery floors were expected. I mean, it would've been okay if they left a rolled up towel in front of the shower-doorway (as the Hilton I'm staying at now, Ft. Laud bch does but doesn't need to). There's also mildew in the shower and the bathrooms use two small sliding doors that don't even close all the way. You can literally be in the shower, shampooing your hair with the bathroom door closed and see what's on TV at the same time.

No room service- After being transferred a few times, I was told the hotel doesn't offer room service. What I COULD do was place an order and come downstairs to pickup my order.

No microwaves- The guest service rep wasn't too happy to tell me that they didn't have microwaves. We were advised to go downstairs, to the bar to warm our food up. In addition to that, the refrigerators were pretty small.

Feel bad for housekeeping- I mean, I know 2:00 is kinda late to take the 'do not disturb' sign off but upon doing so and heading towards the elevator, I was greeted by 3 Jamaican/Haitian housekeeping employees , one asking me if I needed my room cleaned. Her reaction to my response was a clear sign of displeasure. Now, I know I shouldn't have expected her to be ecstatic but let me know next time so I'll clean the room myself.

No gym- While I was there, I took some time out to check out the fitness room... turns out it was being remodeled. The signs at the construction site led us to another room towards the eastern portion of the hotel that was barely lit and only had about 5 treadmills... nothing else.

Some areas smell musty- While walking to our room from the western area of the hotel (where we parked our car) we noticed a musty smell in the hallway. I don't know if it was a temporary thing but it sucked.

Now, this place may be decent for those who are spending 1 night there before going on a cruise but any longer than that and you'll see how awful the place is. My final verdict, if you're going to charge someone to stay there, at least give them a discount because you're not getting what you pay for.

We stayed at the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina hotel just one night in order to catch our cruise ship in the nearby Port Everglade. The room was nice with a balcony overlooking the small marina and a deck/bar on top of the water. If we wouldn't have gotten there so late, we maybe would have dined at the neat little place, but didn't have the time. Eistein bagels is walkable for breakfast in the morning instead of buying their version of an overpriced continental breakfast in the lobby.
We did find a used deodorant tube under one of the beds as well as a dirty sock under the other bed...not exactly the Hilton caliber that we are used to.

Immediately 1 full star off to start the review for paid wifi.  Who charges for wifi anymore in a hotel?  Is that the only thing I can mark off with my entire 4 night stay here?  Stay with me...

Hilton Marina is a superb destination for Fort Lauderdale.  The amenity rich hotel offers a lot for being a short distance from the beach.  The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and with a shower with an optional rainfall feature.  The coffee maker has a variety of Keurig k-cups.  You can sip your morning coffee on your balcony with your $6 supermarket bagel served from the lobby bar.  Great views.

Bathroom has sliding pocket doors with fogged glass.  The shower itself is open, which would have been fine if it was a room for a single or a comfortable couple.  Not with two guys.  So only one person could use it at a time.  Great amenities there.  Design does not meet function for a double.

The pool is excellent.  It is clean, has convenient towels nearby, and with a water station.  The pool bar has pretty good staff.  They can also deliver your food at the pool.  It is astronomically expensive for a marginal sandwich or chicken fingers.  No frills options.  You do leave satisfied.

Maid service did a good job and on time.
Shuttle service was excellent.  The guy came back to pick you up if the van was full.  7 minutes to the beach (which is walkable for someone under 50).
Front desk was friendly and helpful.
The hotel annoyingly kept on pitching the China Grill (review to follow).
Starbucks, Coldstone, Walgreens, and Einstein Bagels are a 7 minute walk down the street to help you save some money.
    Decent TV.

Hotel is expensive for a chain, but you do get enough in return to look past it.

After reading other reviews I'm glad to say there was nothing out of the ordinary about our room, however I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Let me start off by saying I'm a Hilton Honors Gold Member and compared to every Hilton I have ever stayed at, in multiple countries, I have NEVER been asked to pay for a continental breakfast. Not in New York, a Waldorf in Rome, London, Houston, San Francisco......for a mediocre breakfast. Then the breakfast that is free has too many restrictions, "one of this or this or this or this," really?

Honestly? If you're going to charge me $6 for breakfast I'll just go to Starbucks down the street.

You have to get your room "rekeyed" every time you leave. Housekeeping knocks on your door constantly with no clue what time you check out or record that you were even a guest of room. Elevator has been broken for months, I had to use the one outside at the far end of hotel last time and got locked outside because my room key didn't work to reenter. My employer has a contract to stay in this hotel. I've stayed in many places and normally wouldn't bother writing a poor review but this one wins the cake for being the worst managed.

This is a very nice hotel. The room we stayed in, in the tower was modern and clean. The pool area is perfect. A heated pool, towels, toys for the kids, comfy chairs and even jugs of ice water and cups available. Ceceila walked around with fresh cold fruit for all of the pool guests. The breakfast buffet was quite good and Jennefah and Christopher were so helpful and kind to our party of 6. Every employee was always smiling and asking how our stay was. I loved the water taxi just steps from the lobby.

Although I've stayed at better Hiltons, I still enjoyed this particular hotel. It is in an excellent location that puts you close (driving close, not walking distance close) to everything in Ft. Lauderdale. Our 10th floor room was ready by 4 pm and had a great balcony with a wide view of the causeway and intracoastal. Yes, the hotel is a little old but everything in the room itself seemed newer. I don't care for the bathroom pocket doors because they don't offer much privacy but the rain shower was a nice touch. You do have to pay for WiFi and parking ($21/night for self-parking and $25/night for valet) though. Overall it was a good stay, especially since we paid for it with out HHonors points.

The rooms are "modern" but just about everything needs a little attention. Did not feel luxurious for the pricing.

Stayed here from Dec 30, 2013 to Jan 3, 2014.  Overall 2.5 but not good enough for a 3.

Prequel - I lived in the South Florida area for about 10 years before moving to the DC area and have traveled extensively all over the world both for business and personal.

Room Location - tower room 1117, intercostal/marina view. One of the refurbished rooms.  Our room faced north.

Pros - Hilton Marina has a nice view of intercostal and cruise port if you get a south facing room.  Our room was King Deluxe.  The pool area is nice as well and while I stayed there there seemed to be plenty of chairs for all.  Towel service is provided at the pool.  G-Bar is outdoor tiki style four sided with a deck space to sit as well.  By my estimate medium sized and has about a dozen tables.  Bar stools are comfortable but prime choice.  Can accommodate about about 20-30 all the way around I'd guess.  Bar service was good the entire visit.  Gerard seemed to serve most of of our drinks and remembered what we ordered on the second night we returned.  Valet service was prompt and courteous, even offered bottled water for the taking.  Housekeeping did a pretty good job keeping the room up despite our unusual schedule.

Cons - Upon checkin there were only two staff at the desk to check in the crush of people on a very busy weekend - poor planning and forecast by GM.  Also, stood in the "Hilton Honors" line while one couple renegotiated their rooms and the regular check in line moved slowly.  I'm a Diamond member; and am accustomed to having priority check-in.  Not being a snob just stating a fact and observation that who ever is in line in the Honors line (my experience) has had priority to check in.  Antea - not much choice in "Breakfast" items and most times understaffed at rush times.  Room Service - food selection was poor.  Published menu actually has a spelling error in it.  HINT - it's "SUIT your needs"; not "SUITE".  Also, tried to get room service on Jan 2 at about 1130 and couldn't get an answer.  The phone kept rolling over to the operator and she just kept transferring us back in to loop.  Three tries on that, and stopped trying.  Actually called up Georgio's and ordered $80 worth of food for delivery (was hungry from the run around).  They delivered a great meal and promptly!  We did attempt to reach out
To the manager, got voicemail (shocker there) and the message nor the call was ever returned.  Didn't let the poor service by this Hilton ruin the stay, but most likely will not return.
Aside - Had an issue trying to check out today (Jan 3rd).  Left message for manager again, and received no return call (shocked baby face!!).

This Hilton is far below what you would expect from A Hilton property.  Service was severely lacking and inefficient.  Room was not ready on time and when checking in there was a line if 15 people with one front desk person.  Breakfast was again disorganized and the buffet was never full.  Carpet in room and hallway was disgusting!  When riding up with another guest, they stated "isn't this the worst Hilton you have stayed at"...pretty we'll sums it up!  Clearly needs improved management.

All I have to say is EWWWWW!    The elevators in the annex building haven't worked properly for YEARS!.. I mean literally YEARS, at least two.  The carpets in the hallways are dingy, but only a tease as to what awaits inside the rooms.   Making the shower work made me feel like I could conquer the Rubik's Cube!   Ice machines? HA HA HA HA HA.... finding one is like hitting Powerball because it could be two floors up or maybe two floors down, WHO KNOWS?   And good luck climbing the stairs to your floor (remember the rickety elevators?)  because the stairwell doors lock behind you. The staff was competent, however, and I love the herd of cats that calls the pool area home.

    What a bummer DUDE!

Of course, you feel like when you're this close to the beach, what could possibly be unpleasant about a HILTON on the beach in Fort Lauderdale?  Well, I can say that this is the first and only Hilton that doesn't stand up to the name.

The floor my room was on was in the wing just outside the front doors and to the left of the building (if you're front-facing).  The elevator was slow and the walk to my room featured construction equipment, stains from a huge flood (must've spanned past 6 rooms), and some wet spots still.  Still, I don't get all huffy and puffy about those things since my overall experience can be pleasant despite that.

Once in my room, there were a few things I was diggin'.  The lighting was pretty groovy and the doors have a modern twist.  Decor was good, too.  Unfortunately, there were ants in my room.  After communicating with others that were staying there, I found the problem was not isolated to my room.  The front desk staff denied any knowledge of a problem, however, they did offer to change my room.

I didn't have a chance to see the pool but was told it was beautiful.

Now, my primary frustration?  The cleaning staff tried to enter my room 3 times-even though I had placed the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the handle.  I certainly understand that those get left on when people leave so I can empathize if it's a 1 time error by not reviewing the roster of the occupants check in and check out times.  But this started at 8 am, I was still sleeping (west coaster!) and it scared the begeezuz out of me!  Then again at 11am and again at 1pm.  So, we can conclude that they had no regard for the schedule of occupants and were just trying each door when they felt like it.

My conclusion?  The ideal rest and comfort that should occur at a hotel isn't likely to happen here.  Seek out a better option and rest easy!

My sister held her wedding here at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina in 2010 and what a great experience it was. Gayleen and the rest of the staff were always accommodating and my Bridezilla of sister felt comfortable putting her precious wedding in the hands of the Hilton.

As far as the hotel as a wedding venue, I would say Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is a great choice. Their ballrooms are pretty simple with no tacky tropical patterned carpet or ostentatious chandeliers, allowing for a neutral backdrop for personal preferences on lighting, centerpieces, theme, etc. The food was very good and they were really accommodating with working with my sister's (dad's) budget. The wedding itself went off without a hitch and was beautiful, couldn't have asked for more.

In regards to the hotel as well, a hotel, that experience was great too. The Bridal party stayed here the night prior and the night of the wedding and the rooms were great. Everything was clean and beautiful. The beds were plush and super comfy and the bathrooms were nice and spacious. The views were spectacular too, looking out to the marina or the city below. I especially enjoyed the box of trojans (her pleasure) that was delicately placed next to the bible in the top drawer of the night stand. Ok, so not exactly an amenity offered by Hilton as much as it was the misfortune of the last guest in that room (I say misfortune because the box was unopened), but it was quite entertaining.

As a group of 5 giddy and merrily buzzed girls staying in 2 conjoined rooms, you can imagine the raucous we caused. We must have called for extra pillows, another bathrobe, more towels, etc. etc. more than what could be counted on one hand. But the staff was patient and fulfilled our every request pleasantly and swiftly.

I would recommend this hotel for any vacationer looking for the the Fort Lauderdale experience. Only complaint is that parking is not free even for guests. This hotel is a short distance from the beach, which you can get to for free (.50 on the weekends) via the trolley that stops at the Publix down the street. You are close enough to Las Olas and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. The Hilton is also a stop on the Water Taxi which is a great added bonus.

I've been staying here on and off over the last few years and it is getting either worn or quality upkeep is dropping.

My last stay had used bathroom toiletries left in the shower with stubble on the soap and stained sink area. Not good.

The one before, my room by the elevator left much to be desired for a quiet sleep. Glad it was only one night.

Location is good and I like the tower rooms with a view.

Continental breakfast has changed from hot breakfast sandwiches to yogurt or breads. And in season, this place gets packed with cruise ship tourists, so checkin can take some time.

So after coming back a few times this month, my room assignment turns into a handicap room by the elevator! Not good especially with my last elevator room experience.

My room was very clean.  I enjoyed having drinks by the pool and having the water taxi right outside the hotel.  I will post pictures later.  I really liked it, got my room via Orbitz so the price was very reasonable. It is comparable to many of the Hyatt hotels I have been to.  I'm sure there are days when the front desk is extremely busy because the cruise lines are right outside.  Patience is a virtue people and the front desk staff was really nice.  I was not to fond of the Concierge, they need a little more customer service trainings.  Overall very please, will come back for sure.

I don't get the negative reviews...I stay in a lot of hotels.  In fact, year to date, I've spent over 130 nights this year, in hotels.  I've stayed in my share of nice hotels as well as dumps I'd love to never see again.

I checked in to the Hilton Fort Lauderdale around 3AM and was planning to check out at 7AM.  The gal at the front desk suggested that I park in self-park since I was only going to be there for a few hours.  I appreciate her looking out for me (and my wallet).  The walk from self parking was stunning!  Seriously, it was one of those "Why do I want to take a picture of this hallway?" moments.  The halls of the West Villa were bright white and well lit...even at 3AM, it shined as a heavenly resort.

When I got to my room, it did not disappoint...sliding bathroom doors, granite top counters, a Keurig, a spread of feather non-allergenic pillows as well as the usual 32" TV.  After sleeping for a couple of hours, I discovered the balcony and the marina view, overlooking the scores of yachts that call Fort Lauderdale home (even in the off season).

    * Self-park only makes sense if you're staying for just a few hours, but if you're staying overnight, you might as well valet...it's about the same price.
    * The in-room Keurig brewers (and pods) are a nice amenity.
    * Walking distance to the convention center, but do yourself a favor...DON'T!

Stayed here for one night and had awful customer service! First, my husband tried to order a drink at the lobby bar and the bartender was sternly calling his ID out as a fake... It was his 26th birthday! Then proceeded to still charge him the whole $11 for his jack and coke (rip off). Then, as we get to our room we learn that our AC is broken and our bedroom temp is stuck at 85 degrees! (This will piss a pregnant girl off). We then called down to the front desk to have them either 1) switch us rooms, 2) fix the AC or ATLEAST 3) compensate us for our room at which they couldn't do any of! The best they could do was "give us a late checkout"! Seriously?!  No impressed.

I'm a Diamond member sad to say. I almost never complain about anything.  But this property and staff was a huge let down.   I was there for the yacht show and they let me down at every turn.  Very unhelpful front desk staff is my key complaint.

Waterways Restaurant was filthy. The floor was so sticky everyone commented on it. $22 for a breakfast buffet is ok if there is plenty of food, coffee, and some level of service. There was little of the above.  The guy next to me spoke with the manager about having to wait 15 mins for coffee to be served ( I ended up serving my own). They ran out of plates at the buffet.  They only had one guy trying to make omelets for a place with seating capacity for at least 100.  I was there on business and this place wasted a lot of my time.....poor management.

This is a clean, modern, comfortable hotel. No fuss, just a very good hotel wtih a very nice pool area. I was impressed by the high service level performed by all staff (expect pool bar staff), friendly, quick and generous. We stayed in a tower suite, in the main building and had a beautiful view of the city. The name "suite" is not correct though, it is a ordinary sized room.

The only drawback was the ridiculous door/doors in the bathroom. When closed, the gap around them was still huge, everything being performed in the bathroom was thereby fully disclosed to anyone being present in the room.

Staff is friendly, grounds are very clean and the atmosphere is fun. The pool is open 24 hours, which is something I haven't come across ever! Plus the cutest guy (Jake) works for the valet! I will definitely be coming back to stay. Especially if Jake is still working here.

You walk in...the lobby is gorgeous, the outdoor patio even better....then, you ask the concierge about taking a water taxi to la solas where all the shops are and he tells you a taxi is better.  You see amazing boats and houses on the water taxi and it's cheaper then a cab.  Then there's the room...disgusting.  The shower tile has been cleaned but stained with mildew.  Everything looks dingy and worn.  The carpet is gross so wear your flip flops.  This review comes
From staying in the east villa side.  If it's for a night, it's fine.  But I would never recommend this place for a long stay. This
Gives hilton a bad name. I only gave it 2 stars because of the outside. Ps. There is no shuttle.

Conveniently located on the intercoastal waterway and the concierge sells tickets to the water taxi, which makes it fun and convenient to visit the shops and restaurants on Las Olas.  The staff is very personable.  The onsite Chinese restaurant has the best duck fried rice.

Stayed here for a few nights attending a conference.  The room we had was nice, overlooking the pool and out over the water.  We were treated to views of the massive luxury yachts moored right off the hotel - one even had it's own helicopter.

A few things that took away from my experience:

    * Hotel location isn't in walking distance to anything, so a car is necessary.
    * Bathroom was in need of cosmetic surgery - it was looking old, and faded.
    * On site dining options are rather pricey.
    * Pool is small.

The other issue we had that really did not sit well was the fact that we had our room booked with the indication that we would be arriving very early the next morning in the hope that we could just check in, grab our key and grab a few winks before the conference started.  When we arrived, our room wasn't ready! Totally not cool considering we payed for the room from the prior night to make sure we could have it ready - they didn't even offer anything to us to make up for the fact that got a free night from us.

I did love the outdoor patio with the nice couches and 'fire pit' - a nice place to relax on a warm evening.

Unless there was another conference here, I won't be back.

Seriously this place has gone down hill. Last time I was here the door handle fell off locking me in the stairwell,  this time I got stuck in the east villa elevator for half an hour.  Even better,  I hit the call button,  it rang for about 10 minutes,  until (unanswered) I got a busy signal!  Thank goodness my cell phone worked or is still be in there!

Stay in the tower,  or better yet,  in the Hilton Beach Resort.

Nice room and terrific balcony overlooking the marina.
The front desk folks were very friendly and allowed an early check-in as a room was available. The room was clean and comfortable, however the door had a sizable gap allowing light from the hallway to bleed into the room.

The Bathroom was spacious and the water was hot (much needed that day). The Shower controls were a little wacky, but worked.

The only big issue I had with the stay was the room was on a first floor wing, and the elevators did not work on the hotel side, making everyone walk down our hallway (late at night and early morning).  That being said, had we not taken a room early, we probably would have not had that issue and I wanted the room early.

We only spent one night in the hotel, awaiting our flight in FLL after a cruise. Had dinner in the bar and the food was really good ( the hot wings were great ) and the bartender (Shiva was her name) was friendly, funny and made really good drinks.

Price wise I though the room rate was very reasonable, the wifi seemed inline with other hotels I have been at, but the food seemed a bit pricey, even for a hotel restaurant.

Overall I was very pleased with the hotel and would recommend it!

Thanks for making out last night on vacation a terrific night!

I think this was a really great location I actually love the entrance and how spacious  it was. I love it looks so modern funky chic and fun but the only reason I gave it three stars is because I didn't get a chance to see or do anything else I was there for networking and I just had the opportunity to look around quickly and grab something quick to eat at the restaurant /bar there. How ever the food at the restaurant was really good actually really enjoyed my quesadilla and condiments that they had for the quesadilla were really  really light and yummy. The actual bartender at the restaurant was really nice and my my drink was actually really good so no complaints here. I look forward to going back there were for other business purposes and going back there to actually explore a little bit more.

Just stayed at the Hilton since the wedding reception we were attending was set there. Otherwise we typically go for the Hampton inn or Holiday Inn. We definitely felt like you pay for the view. A lot of amenities which are typically free were at a hefty cost, like paying 10 dollars for internet each day if you needed it. The cell phone reception there is bad too. Parking was also at a cost per day but pretty convenient to park, always plenty of parking.

Otherwise the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. They gave us anything we needed, whether more towels or toiletries. The pool staff was probably the best, the pool has no set hours and clean towels were always available. No need to show your key card either so that was really nice.

If you're going to stay at the hilton try and get the tower and also water view, it has a really great view.

I am a Hilton Diamond member and have been for a few years... This means I frequent  quite a few Hilton properties over the years.

This is not may favorite by far.  While it has some nice amenities you can tell they need to remodel rooms, hallways, and elevators.  The west wing has by far the slowest elevator in Florida.

Not a big fan of having to pay for breakfast, typically diamond members enjoy a free breakfast because of there loyalty.  At this Hilton my loyalty is worth $8 off a $22 breakfast.  While I realize this is Fort Lauderdale I have stayed at much higher end Hilton's in Chicago, New York, etc and not had to pay for this hard earned perk.

Geez, with what they are charging would it kill them to fix the elevator?

As a Hilton Gold member I've been in my fair shares of hilton locations.  Unfortunately,  this particular location doesn't quite fit the bill.
I LOVE hilton for their service and especially for their plush beds and fluffy pillows but the bed we had at our stay was lumpy, the sheets stiff and the pillows although there were 5 of them were not comfortable :(
Also, the service here was a bit aloof when we checked in late, a little after 11pm. We booked for 2 nights and they had us placed in different rooms for each night, then handed us the keys. Perplexed we asked which room we were in since they didn't tell us, then proceeded to ask about all the ammenities we usually get as hilton honors members such as breakfast,  lounge area & free waters.  She was thrown off when we asked then scrambeled to find us our breakfast vouchers and waters. Maybe she was new but come on at least let your guests know what room they're staying in before sending them away from the check-in desk!
When we got to our room were also disappointed since we booked a marina view and ended up with sights of the streets. Boo!

We were here 3-4 yrs ago and just loved it then. I think they just remodeled it back then. Back than we had a great room, great service, they still had the China Grill it was fantastic asian/sushi restaurant. The new restaurant although it's not really part of the hotel had horrible sushi ( lot of rice and fake crab) and average chinese for somebody used to California cuisine.
    Hotel way more rundown now-
room was usually not cleaned up until late, once not until we returned to our room at 4 o'clock, that's when finally the maid came to clean up and so we just asked for towels.
Outside bar prices are outrageous. Even the staff there were saying it's cheaper to get room service then get a ridiculous price 20$!burger. We did like the room service flatbreads.
There were long lines at checkout, shower ( room 1010) was wasting water as bottom tap always ran so top rain dish and handheld had weak pressure. On our last day out we asked for late check outs at 3 o'clock -they said it's an extra $25.
When back at 2:30 and looked on the TV check out they charged $75. Apparently it's $25 each hour after. When we went down to lobby they did get to correct it but there was a pretty long line. And apparently somebody was supposed to have already been checked into our room at 3 o'clock. So when we got in at 2:30 the maid was just going to clean our room with all out stuff in it. JUST SEEMS LIKE MANAGEMENT STAFF AND EVERYTHING WAS NOT ON TOP OF IT LIKE IT WAS THREE/ FOUR YEARS AGO.
Otherwise not a bad place, good location for cruises (we went for boatshow) nice view from tower rooms for you if you look down to Marina. And if you had a complaint they did correct it.

This hotel is clean and in a nice location, otherwise I wouldn't have given it ANY stars. Got there and the rooms were not ready, but we were a bit early so we didn't sweat it. I was a little concerned about the reception we got though. I am a Hilton Honors member so when I tried to check in, I went to the honors desk. The girl at he desk acted as though we were inconveniencing her by trying to check in. Not friendly at all!  Oh well... Everyone's entitled to a bad day, right?  We moved from there to The G poolside bar and restaurant to wait for our room and things went from bad to worse.  We were greeted quickly and courteously and served our first round of drinks, but that's where the service ended. We ordered appetizers and waited over 45 minutes for them to come. During that time, our waiter never came back to ask if we wanted anorexic drink. There were three bartender/servers and they were to busy chatting it up to deal with the customers.  At one point, I heard one of the servers say to another "don't go get the food. They're supposed to have food runners to bring it to us". So... There we sat. When we were finally served and given our check, I noticed that they had already added an 18% tip. This was for a party of four. That explains a lot... What's the incentive to provide good service if you know you're getting tipped either way?  So..  To recap:  nice hotel, in a nice location, but... If you're looking for customer service, look elsewhere.

The main reason I give this hotel three stars is because of the lack of amenities for Hilton Honors diamond members. There was no upgrade, no free breakfast, and no free parking unlike other hotels where I have stayed. There was no executive lounge access offered either.

I had requested a room with a balcony and waterfront view, but my room faced the freeway. If I stepped out onto the small balcony and turned left, I could see the small river. I guess this is the definition of a "waterfront view."

Checkout was tedious. There was only one person at the front desk, and the customers needing assistance required a lengthy amount of time. After standing in line for ten minutes, I called to check out and requested someone bring the receipt (since it wasn't placed under the door) to the front desk. The person on the phone didn't understand my request; she asked, "Why don't you wait until someone can help you?" I explained I had been waiting in line for over ten minutes. Finally someone came out to the front desk to assist, and I had to start my request all over again. I have never understood hotels who don't have multiple people at the front desk counter (especially since there were about 4-5 different workstations available) in the mornings, especially since it's checkout time.

I would have given the hotel two stars (I've experienced better) except that the valet parking staff was excellent. As soon as I checked in, they remembered my name. Even when I checked out in the morning, the different set of staff knew my name and the car needed. The front desk could use a pay deduction, and the valet staff could use a pay increase!

this review is SOLEY om the BRUNCH. We were seated and immediately offered a hot beverage(HOT being the key word) Our coffee was cold. The waitress immediately brought fresh steaming hot coffee. The buffet was very skimpy. I say this because nearly all the fruit was in need of replenishing. I grabbed a few pieces of pineapple and moved on to the Nova and Bagels(which were so hard and old and tiny I dont know where they found them, maybe at the 3 day old bread store) they were horrible. I moved on to the hot food which was oatmeal, scrambled eggs bacon and sausage and i am assuming potatoes (I didnt look under the lid of the last item . The only reason I was here was to meet some friends that were embarking on a Caribbean cruise   later that day. Would i recommend it ..NO..would I go back..probably not..parking was also 3 dollars an hour...

Grr I hate this hotel.  Overall, after staying at three Hilton's in three nights this week, I am not at all impressed with the brand.

The top 10 reasons why I hate the Hilton Fort Lauderdale:

    1) The Wi-Fi is too weak to stream Netflix.  Not cool after a long flight.
    2) The elevator isn't working and hasn't been since my last visit - circa three months ago!  No extra bellboy to help you with luggage either, you will be crawling up the stairs instead.  WTF?!
    3) Ice machine on the 24th floor has never worked in the two years I've been forced to stay here.  Is this a joke?  Just give up on the pretense of maintenance guys and remove the ice machine.
    4) Housekeeping will knock on your door not once, but twice (three times for el capitan, what did he do to piss them off?) when you have your "Do Not Disturb" sign up.  Did the door stutter?  Was I not clear?  I don't want to be disturbed when I am sleeping after a redeye and knocking falls under that category.
    5) Something is always falling apart.  This time it was my hot water knob in the shower.  I had to screw it back on myself to turn up the heat after it narrowly missed my toes when it took the plunge off the wall.
    6) The beds are dangerous - I once sliced my baby toe on a piece of metal hanging off of the side.  It looked like a crime scene in my room.
    7) There is always a number of bugs somewhere.  Whether it be in the bed (says a coworker), or on the towels (says the angry Delta flight attendant who I met in front of the non-working elevator), or just flying around the room, they're there.
    8) The bathroom door is heavy and doesn't stay open on it's own.  You need to prop it open to release the steam.  Which blocks the closet.  And the main door.  Ugh.
    9) The water is yellow and not all enticing to take a shower in (if you are even able to get past the knob obstacle).  Rusty pipes?  Gross.  I guess not if you like to appear as if you're bathing in urine.
    10) They do not make their own ranch...not a "hate," but I needed a 10th.

Needs to be cleaned and updated. Bathroom in hotel rooms were specially in need of a good scrub and updating. I did like the restaurants in the hotel or connected only because I wasn't paying- work was. A bit pricey.  Only stayed here for a convention, seems it caters to the cruise line, so they must be guaranteed a lot of business.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I absolutely adore this place. The room was very clean and everything was newly updated, it felt like a brand new hotel and it was so clean, i mean not even a piece of lint on the floor! The staff were so friendly, and really made me and my guests feel welcome. When we got to our room the radio didnt work so we called the front desk and seconds later someone came in to replace it right away with another one, it was great. i believe the pool was open 24 hours and it was clean and very big. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and i also would def come here again!

I have never actually been moved to write a bad review about a hotel, but this one deserves it.

Before I continue, I have to mention that I am a travel advisor.  I am here because I'm attending a conference at the convention center, a mere five-minute walk away.  That's about the only good thing here.

This hotel gives the name "Hilton" a bad rap.  The story begins during checkin, when reception couldn't find my reservation.  Apparently, staff also think I am a NO-SHOW, as my conference contact was told I am not in the hotel.  Hellloooo! Here I am, in Room 2331!  Sadly.

Getting to this room was an eyeopener itself.  I'm in the "West Villas."  Sounds upper-class, but alas, this is not the case.  I'm in the building where apparently, conference people, and airline crew are put up.  YES, I have a Marina view.  Yes, the bed is comfortable, even though the blanket has a) no duvet and b) brown spots, and possibly lipstick, on it.

There are two elevators in this building; one doesn't work.  There is a sign on the defunct elevator that says, essentially, that the hotel staff refuses to upgrade the elevators and these can't be fixed anymore.

The hallway?  Well, I've seen cleaner hallways in hospitals.  The carpeting is old and disgustingly dirty.  Some used drinking glasses are STILL sitting there in a corner,  where they were a day ago.

I went to the front desk to let them know that the shower head has a leak at the hose and is spewing water everywhere.  It has leaked so much, and so long apparently, that the grout and tiles are orange.  Most of the grout has crumbled away around the tub, allowing mold growth.  Nobody came to fix or replace the shower head.  When I went to the front desk to mention it yet again, waiting  for another receptionist--who might be more receptive--I got (oh yes) the eye-roll.

The doors (entry, closet, bathroom) have seen better days; paint is chipped or stripped away.

There is a foyer light switch, but no light to turn on.

The safe in the closet was locked, so I couldn't store anything in it.  Apparently, asking for a new safe does no good either, as a guest already tried that, to no avail.

Had some extremely over-priced drinks at the bar last night.  Two bartenders and a packed bar.  Some people waited up to ten minutes to be served.  I got my vodka SHOT  in a plastic cup, AND had to pay $12 for it.  I asked for a shot GLASS, and the bartender went and asked someone else to finish their shot real quick, washed the glass and gave it to me.

Tonight, I asked for a Mojito, which had a special price for our group.  I ordered, and twenty minutes later after debate about the price,  I got my Mojito.  When I asked for another, the bartender said, "I'm out of mint...no more Mojitos."  I went inside to the lobby bar, ordered a Mojito and took it outside; there was MINT inside, but also a higher price,. and of course and it had to be in a coffee cup to be outside, because at 11:00 pm the children running around the pool (not) might cut themselves on the glasses which would break if we would be able to throw them the sports-field of a distance to reach the pool.

People had to get up and approach the bar to order food.  Food arrived, uncovered and carried across the courtyard in the wind, was placed on the bar and sat there for at least five minutes before it was delivered to the tables.  This was because the waitress was busy texting who-knows-who.

This place is unbelievable.  It needs to be gutted and rebuilt  from the inside out, starting with the staff which needs to be replaced.

I'm a loyal Hilton guy, Diamond member. Stayed at this property for a work trip, and because the rates were cheap. It was clean and adequate. Not what I would consider a true full service hotel. Restaurants are not great. There wasn't any room service--I was told I could order food but would need to pick it up myself.

Lousy coffee shop, and no spa. The fitness center is small and dated. Rooms are showing their age. Agree with others that the elevators are painfully slow at times.

On the plus side, the rooms are clean, and the Marina  views are decent. This is a good place to stay for the night before/after a cruise or something where you don't need a lot of amenities from the hotel.

Glad to get my Hilton points but otherwise probably wouldn't have stayed here.

The hotel is pretty nice, nothing too close by, the food and drinks outside are incredibly expensive. The gym is good, free weights, treadmills, elliptical, and a weight machine.

Godie at the front desk is really nice, she will go above and beyond to help you. Overall it's a nice hotel if you don't plan on leaving the property, and you have a lot of money to spend on food and drinks. Otherwise I would recommend staying closer to the beach.

Everything that glitters ain't gold. The hotel looks nice but is very old and they threw in some updated things but the old screams through. When you think Hilton, you think very nice. If you look closely it's rusty. The pool bar is expensive, guess because you have the view  the marina which is cool but wow. Check the lobby bar for half price drinks and food. There is also a Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel next door. You can walk about 3 blocks to a strip mall that has chipotle, starbucks and some other restaurants on 17th street

The room was far from the lobby and they didn't tell us that room 32.... is not on the third floor it's on the second. The room is good but like I said it's old. get a room with the view of the marina. Nice!!!! The tile in the bathroom is cracked, the fixtures in the tub are rusty and the water backs up into the tub while showering. Yuck!!!

I've seen worst. I would stay again but need a discount.

Hmm...where to start? Well, it looks beautiful. No doubt about that. I love how it has that tropical feel to it. The pool is nice but there's so much chlorine in there. So I would recommend not to stay in there too long. I think my bathing suit lost some color.

I did not trust the elevators. They kept making that weird sound. It was "bumpy". My sister and I got stuck in one. Needless to say, you weren't at ease once you stepped foot in there.

I'm a social media girl. I'm constantly checking things on my phone or iPod touch. Sadly, I only had access to free internet in the lobby. Not convenient! If I wanted to have wifi in my room, I had to pay 10$, per night, per device. To send a simple email or to message family and friends using apps such as Viber, BBM or Facebook Messenger, I had to go back down to the lobby every single time. Not cool considering on some other trips, where I would stay at The Marriott, I would get free internet in my room.

I went to Fort Lauderdale for a convention so it was convenient that the convention center across the street from the hotel. But for those who wanted to to go out at night, nothing is walking distance. You either have a car or call a taxi. Even to go search for restaurants we had to walk a bit. The hotel is pretty secluded from many things.

The cleaning crew needs to do a better job at cleaning the rooms because we found stuff such as a shirt and sandals under the bed that didn't belong to us. Who knows how long they've been there?

Bottom line is, I guess my expectations were pretty high for this hotel considering it's the Hilton. If I were to come back to this hotel, it would be for the pool and the tropical setting.

The phone just rings and rings. Walked down to the lobby where the cafe was to not be greeted by the counter girl. After I gave her my order she barked 15-20 min?? For a Caesar salad?? I asked her if she was the one who was supposed to be answering the phone to place orders she said no. I sit and wait for my salad and she is ignoring a phone tat is ringing non stop. I am guessing that's the order line. She's to busy watching Ridiculous on MTV which is totally appropriate for a lobby in a hotel. Just a horribly run hotel staff cuts you off in the hallways no hello how are you. There dining options are really one room that just changes cuisine through out the day and they are all gross. Drunk people in the pool until 3:45. This was a business trip and I won't be booking here again.

I can't give a fifth star because I was really only there for an extremely short time.

When I had a blood sugar issue in the middle of the night when everything was closed, they were extremely helpful.

The overwhelming smell of bleach enveloped our room as we entered. It could only mean one of two things. Our room at the The Hilton Ft Lauderdale Marina must have either been used as an operating room for an illegal organ theft ring or to house a speed bulimia meet. I still hope it was the first of the two. We abandoned shop and made our way to the pool where we purchased food. They had unfortunately ran out of ham so I was forced to eat what I believe were microwavable White Castle sliders that they served at the bar for a bargain price of $20 for three. When we left to go back to our bleach soaked room we were informed that they locked us out because of an issue with the security deposit. No, they didn't leave a message on my phone or even attempt to reach me. They just hijacked our personal property because they thought we were going use it for another bulimia meet and not have a card on file. They switched our room, didn't apologize about the powerful bleach smell and the manager proceeded to yell at me that it was my fault they didn't have any contact info for me. I told him to meet me in person but he said he was too busy. Fast forward to 1am that night. I am woken from the deepest of sleeps by a drunk couple barging into our room. I get up ready to defend our lives because I am concerned they are going to steal our organs only to find that they were given keys to our room. The manager didn't inform anyone we switched rooms. Then I get a call from the night manager asking who I am as if I'm not supposed to be in the room. I needed my beauty rest for the cruise we were leaving for in the morning and this was really in the way.  Why were they torturing me like this? Is this how they butter you up to steal your organs. We were given a refund on the room but unfortunately we had to stay one more night after we got back from the cruise. I pre booked it :( They promised us a suite and that it would be ready in the morning when we got back. Great, let's see how this goes. Fast forward to after the cruise. We get back to the hell hole. We go to check in and I have to remind them that we were supposed to have a suite and about the early check in. They say nothing is ready but it should shortly. We leave our baggage with the front and they give me tags to collect it later. We wait. Hours pass by. They offer us free breakfast as a means to "make it right". This wound up a scam as they tried to up sell us to a better breakfast for $8 more than free. It was as we went back to check on the status of our room that I realize our luggage was still sitting at the front of the hotel. Not being watched. The bell boy realized that they neglected to put the tags on our bags and were never put into storage. They were just sitting in front of the hotel for any one of the homeless people at the facility to scrummage through. The front desk (as a means to make it right) henceforth gave us vouchers for more White Castle quality food at the pool bar. After sensing death may be near we find out our suite is finally really. We enter a mold soaked room where the couches were stained with most likely feces. The bed broken from most likely two shaven bears slathered in mold trying to conceive a mutant cub. The bathroom looked to be their kill room for their prey the evening before. Remains of where once rusted chains and whips were present, The bear's toys. If you are looking for a haunted house that resembles the movie Saw mixed with Paddington I would highly recommend this hotel. Bring your antibacterial soap and your herpes medicine though. This one's a doozy.

The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina has gone down the tubes a little bit in the last year. It seems a little more rundown than it did on my last visit and is not as clean as it was back then. The gift shop is filthy and extremely expensive! I realize that you pay for convenience, however $4.50 for a tiny tube of toothpaste and $3.50 for a small pack of chocolate covered raisins is out of control!!

It sure is close to the marina.
Our room was in an older part of the hotel and it was damp, dark, and in major need of updating.  It felt dirty and smelled of moisture. This is the major reason I wanted to log in and write a review. I think my opinion would be different, in genera, if I hadn't gotten such a terrible room.
The pool area is fine, but don't try to get a drink - it'll take half and hour and the bartenders give major attitude.
I get that it'll get a lot of cruise traffic, but it was extremely chaotic in the lobby and the staff was generally uninformed when you asked questions about the breakfast buffet or shuttle to the cruise terminal. (Despite the fact that we'd paid for the package that included it.) We did get the vouchers eventually, but it felt like they were doing us some huge favor figuring out what we'd paid for. Perhaps this is a fluke and this employee was just not properly trained.

Parking is bad. $25 a night and had problems with my keycard getting in and out. I'm a diamond hilton honors member, and the usual free breakfast that comes with that status, doesn't apply here. You get a discount on the buffet and that's it. There are other things about this hotel that was subpar.  Let's just say the value you get for staying here doesn't equal the price you pay.

Went to the hotel bar outside by the pool.  The bartenders named Daniel and  Richard at the bar weren't the best. I watched as the bartenders wouldn't even acknowledge and  ignored the customers asking for cocktails. Two of the  customers next to me just walked off after waiting a while and getting no response.  I wouldn't go there except for the mahi sandwich which was incredible!

I treated my husband to a mini stay-cation on Labor Day weekend for his 30th birthday. We had a great time. When I first arrived I was impressed by the lobby, it's very pretty. Didn't wait long at all to check in. When we got to our room I realized that I had booked the wrong side of the hotel and the view wasn't as nice as our fiends, who where on the other side. I called the front desk and they switched us with no questions asked. I kept apologizing, because I hate being 'that person' but they were very nice about it.

Our view from the new room was great! Our balcony was so big and the room was a good size too. I was able to bring a cooler with snacks and drinks and decorate the room with balloons. The marina bar is big and has yummy food (so my friends said). They also have a small bar/cafe inside located in the lobby. There's a wonderful restaurant across the street called 'Market 17', we ate there and then took a cab to downtown Ft Lauderdale to bar hop, it was only $10.

When we got back to the hotel we went to the pool. They have a beautiful pool with lots of lounge chairs. It's open 24 hours, so awesome! When we got back to the room, I called the front desk and told them we might check out a little late, and they had no problem with that, very friendly again.

    1) You have to pay for parking, $22 for self or $25 for valet.
    2) Wish the marina bar stayed open later
    3) Room service closes early
    4) I thought we were supposed to get complimentary breakfast but wasn't too clear where it was even served. The only thing I saw was breakfast at the little bar/cafe in the lobby, and a breakfast sandwhich was $12 :-/

Overall we had an amazing time and will definitely stay here again.

DO NOT stay at this "hotel"!  This is not a four-star hotel under ANY rating system!!  The rooms are barely negotiable for one person!!  Yet the management advertises them as extremely roomy!  The hotel's overall condition is subpar and run down and is in dire need of renovation!  Wi-Fi is charged to its guests if needed.  (No 4 star hotel does this!).  The pool has no attendants and the lounges are very worn.  And finally, on a more personal note, we were unable to access our self parking lot as there was an event at the hotel and they were woefully unable to adequately handle the parking.  It took us an hour to finally get the car parked.  We travel regularly to south Florida and I wanted to stay in Fort Lauderdale on this trip.  This hotel is nothing as it is portrayed!  I'm going back to the Diplomat in Hollywood which is a real 4 star hotel!  Shame on you Hilton!

Hotel was nice, plush and as expected for a Hilton property.

Checked in late on Monday and ventured out to bar which was packed with people.

Had to ask bartender if I could have a drink and a menu. Then had to ask again if I could have another drink.

Ordered a flat iron steak for $28 med rare. Steak came out medium. Nothing on plate had ANY salt and pepper. Not what I expected for the price.

    Updated review:
My last visit made me think I would never, ever book a 2nd visit but I'll be damned, I booked here by accident and it turned out to be a completely different experience that I even came back for a 3rd and longer stay. I noticed that the hotel has insistent service and they don't seem to react well to when they are busier. The longer the stay, the happier the visit though. I love a corner king room and it is my go to when I stay.

Room service is not available between breakfast and dinner. There was one visit when they were a half hour behind but other than that I was much happier with the way Hilton handled guest services. The pool, the bar, restaurants, gift shop and gym were all on point. Valet has great service but gets a little swamped during peak times----still, my car was ready to go. Much better experiences overall.

The beach is a few blocks away and there is a shuttle bus to take you there. Yelp search the word 'fresh' for some amazing healthy AND tasty places to eat. There is a handful of yoga fitness studios that I found as well. I don't want to business promote but they made my trip really enjoyable.

This was the first time I stayed at this hotel. I was upgraded to a balcony room because I'm a Hilton Honors member.
The room was nice but the bathroom needed work. The tile in the bathtub was moldy, the grout was coming off when I RN the water, dirty shower faucets and ice cold water dropped from the vent above me while taking a shower.
I would have requested to change rooms but after traveling all day I didn't want to pack everything up and move to a different room. When I checked out I showed the front desk pictures of the bathroom and recommended that they fix the issues before having another customer rent it.
They were very sorry and graciously provided me with some additional points.
Overall, everything was enjoyable except for the nasty bathroom.

I took the time to e check in the day prior for 4 pm, selected my room, all was good. Arrived the day of at 5:10 and my room wasn't ready. I have been standing in the lobby for almost an hot and still do not have my room that I checked in to the day before. Better yet no one from the establishment has given me an update or offered any comps.  This place is a joke

Probably my least favorite Hilton I've ever stayed....

    Lots of towels
    Nice gift shop
    Great shower pressure
Tatiana in guest services very responsive
Bellman Kevin most knowledgeable about the hotel.

Bad room selection given with absolutely no consideration of the preferences in my Hilton profile.
    Carpet in room was wet
Front desk staff not knowledgeable about local things (didn't know taxi cost range to/from airport; another didn't know taxi range to/from port. Yet they advertise they are close to both.)
Housekeeping started knocking on the door at 7:30am to get rid of me
Called downstairs in the morning several times and no one answered the phone.

I enjoyed my hotel stay here. Although there were a few things that need to be addressed.

The prices of food and drinks at this hotel were outrageous. A friend ordered 3 double cocktails, $80. I ordered 2 shots of fireball at happy hour price, and received 1 free shot for my fiancée's birthday. It was still $15. I will never understand how anyone can charge over $15 for a shot of something that only costs about $15 for a fifth. I felt like I was buying drinks in Vegas.

The pool and the marina was nice. The location of the hotel is great, with the water taxi running right outside, but it is not on the beach. The view from our room was great from the 12th floor, but really windy. We had a wrap around balcony.

The double room was pretty cramped, but still very comfortable.

The biggest gripe I had was the silly door on the bathroom. Whoever tried to be cute with the double sliding door, did an awful job with the design. Not only did the door not lock, it also kept coming off the track. When it was closed, you had to slide it slightly to the left to keep people in the room from seeing you naked in the bathroom, and when you did that, it left a gap on the right side for people walking into the room to see you naked in the mirror. Horrible design for a double room. I can understand this for a king room(sort of), but for a double room where there would obviously either be 2 couples or 2 or 2 people who are not sharing a bed, this can make for a very uncomfortable situation. Even with the doors closed, there is absolutely no sound proofing. We all had to go down to the lobby for privacy when using the bathroom.  Speaking of that, twice I was using the bathroom in the lobby, and the female bathroom attendant walked in and out of the men's bathroom without warning. She didn't even knock to make sure it was clear. Her attitude was that it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't a big deal to me, but I could see that being a big deal to some people.

But aside from that, it was a comfortable stay.  The shower water pressure was great inside the rooms.

Taxi's and Ubers came fairly quickly the whole trip. There aren't many options within walking distance to eat, but everything is just a short cab ride away.

Considering every other nice hotel in the area was hundreds of dollars more a night (we paid $270/night), this wasn't too too bad.

One last thing, make the airport shuttle complimentary. That sure would be a nice touch instead of charging $20(the same price as a cab).

I stayed here for four nights last week on business. Myself and 5 co-workers were attending a conference at the convention center across the street.

Convenience to the convention center can't be beat at this property. It was less than a 5 minute walk. They do also have shuttle service to the convention center, although the ride to the center took about 30 minutes since the Hilton was the first pick up on the route. The return was a few minutes since it's also the first drop on the return.

The property itself is very nice, updated and welcoming. Very nice pool overlooking the marina. Lobby space with lots of meeting areas, tables, corner couches, etc. The out back deck with couches and a fire centerpiece was very nice. Hammocks by the pool were a nice relaxing point in the afternoon when we had a short break.

We booked 4 rooms as part of the convention group. You would think we would all be placed near each other, but was far from the case. Myself and my boss were placed in the West Villa along the back parking lot. Literally when I opened my curtains nothing but car bumpers in the view. My employees were placed on the opposite end of the property, one in the East Villa with a private balcony overlooking the marina and the other in the tower, again with beautiful water views. We are travel agents, I have no idea why they would have put myself and my boss in the worst possible rooms.
It gets worse. On the second floor of the West Villas where we were assigned they have 5 or so conference rooms in the middle of the guest rooms. They booked a FRATERNITY party in those conference rooms the last night we were there. Needless to say no one slept between 11 pm-3 am. A: why would you put conference rooms in the middle of your guest rooms? B: Why would you schedule a literal frat party in them? Several complaint calls to the front desk. They would quiet down for a few minutes, but then right back to party mode.
Whatever you do, avoid the WEST VILLA.

The rooms were updated but very worn. The bed was comfortable, but the pillow cases were too small for the pillows. They also only had those awful feather pillows that are hard and flat when you lay on them.
When I got into the room the cover on the AC unit was laying open and the filter itself was gross. I called guest services to send someone to screw it back in. They were there pretty quickly and took no time to fix it.
No microwave. Coffee in the room was disgusting.
The sink vanity had water residue all over the front of it like it hadn't been wiped down in a month.
The glass on the closet door was cracked.
The carpet felt sticky/mildewed. I avoided walking barefoot.
In room iron and ironing board was nice.
There were also fruit flies in the room. I thought nothing of it except on the third night I could see the little gnats crawling up out of the bathtub drain.
My boss who stayed down the hall had no maid service the entire 4 days were were there.
My room did get daily service, however I did not like that the maid moved all of my personal items (make up, etc) on the bathroom counter when she cleaned.
My company paid $199 per night for my room, I feel it was very over priced for the quality of sleep and service. Hilton should have paid more attention to their travel industry professionals and where they placed us in the hotel. At check in I showed the desk clerk my Iata card and asked to be in a nice room, he looked at me like I was an idiot and handed me my key with no acknowledgement saying they had no other rooms. They had no shortage of rooms when our other party had a broken tv and was given options to change rooms the next day.
We did complain again about the noise from the Frat party and lack of maid service at check out. The desk clerk gave us a day off of the parking fee as well as comped wi-fi ($25 per week), so at least he made an effort after the fact.

Also they hold $50 per night at check in, so for a 4 night stay they wanted to hold $200 on my debit card. They said it takes up to 7 business days to clear after check out. Make sure you plan for that.

This is not a 1 star hotel, nor is this a 5 star hotel.

    What's good about this hotel:

Nice location by the water and close to the cruise ships if you are going to be hopping on one.

    Water taxi access
5-10 minutes to the beach, but not on the beach
    Beds are comfy
    Rooms are clean
    Pet Friendly
    Contemporary, but smaller lobby
    Comfy pool

What's not so good about this hotel.

Pay for parking every day, minimum of $25, and parking is not awesome. It's most likely going to be very far from your room.  There is no where else to park so gotta suck it up.

    Rooms are very narrow
Bathroom door crashes into entrance/exit door of hotel room.
Bathroom is slippery and very narrow.
Queen beds are not queen beds they are full beds, so they are quite small.
Drinks at the bar are sky high.
Pay for WIFI unless you have frequent stay points.
    No free breakfast.

All in all, not too bad of a stay except for these hotel construction quirks.

I have figured out, I'd rather pay more money for a beach front hotel in a bigger city, than try to save money. You end up paying more money for parking, as well as killing time looking for parking.
