We stayed here the night before our cruise on the Allure. I wish I knew the girls name at the desk, she was the best! We had a great stay, and she arranged a private van to take us to the dock the next morning. We walked over and ate dinner at Gilbert's in the Harbor Shops Area, and it was awesome. Also walked to Walgreens in the morning and picked up a case of bottled water. Very convenient location, super quiet, breakfast, friendly people. Great Stay.

This is the Holiday Inn that isn't happy to see you!!!!  The front desk help acts like you are a pain in their side.
At arriving to the FLL airport I called to ask for a pickup.  I was greeted by a person on the phone that acted like he had, had a bad day.  And that attitude was the same when I checked in.  His name is Jeffery and he hates his job!!!  Don't ask him any questions because he will shoot you a look that would kill.  Give him ur card and get out of his face if you want to live.
The room was ok, I have seen much better Holiday Inn's.  The bathrooms look old, you get shampoo and soap, no lotion.  I love the lotion it smells like cinnamon rolls : )  I had to get it from Comeal the next morning.  Comeal was kinda nice but not going out her way to make you feel welcome either.

On our return from our cruise we were again not welcomed.  Had to deal with the faces that Jeffery makes when you need something.  I wish he would get a job he likes.  In the am we needed to get the shuttle,  so we let them know we were ready.  The young lady at the desk told us to have a seat in the lobby and it would be here in a few minutes.  OK so the shuttle pulls up and we stand up to go out and the lady tells us(rudley) not yet.  So we sit back down.  Then the driver never comes to get us he just sit in the van.  Finnaly my husband did go out and ask if he was ready and he said yes.
Last but not least they have a large lizzard in the room that they holf your bags in when your room isn't ready.  Thank God I didn't see it or I would have fallen over dead.  My husband saw and reported it and an employee told us they had been trying to catch it for a while now.  Maybe they need to call a profesionall.
I will not be using this hotel again!!!  Will try my luck else where!!

Stayed here prior to a cruise.  Great place to stay, the cruise port was just around the corner.  Friendly staff, close to many restaurants.  The room was large, comfortable.  A good place to stay when you're head out on a cruise.

The Holiday Inn chain has made tremendous effort updating their hotels. I stayed in this location several nights for a conference in town. The room rate was incredibly overpriced, but likely due to seasonal rates.

The lobby is nicely renovated and clean. There is a nook in the lobby that serves as a business center with free printing. The exercise room is also in the lobby corner. Nothing fancy, just an elliptical and treadmill.  The breakfast area is also in the lobby. They serve yogurt, bananas, apples, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, muffins, and sausage patties for their complementary breakfast. Their pancake machine was not working during my stay.

The rooms are updated, although there is evidence that the hotel is dated. The doorway trim has chipped paint, and older mini fridges. I did receive a bottle of water upon check-in as a Priority Club member. The TV has a good selection of channels, and is an LCD. There is one guest elevator in the building that serves 5 floors. There is no club floor.

The staff I dealt with was courteous, and even switched my room upon check-in when I told them the WiFi was spotty on the 5th floor corner room. The free breakfast, Wifi, and parking was nice.   However, WiFi was quite slow and spotty in the 3 rooms I was in. This is likely due to the company that services their internet and router setup.

Overall, Holiday Inn has made progress in updating their hotels. However, the hotel is pricey for its amenities.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express while taking training at the Conventio Center.  It was an easy walk to both the convention center and many restaurants in the area.  Since the hotel sent us a shuttle there was no need to rent a car.  The staff was friendly and very accommodating and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for anyone visiting the area or waiting for a cruise to leave the Ft. Lauderdale port.

Good Holiday Inn. Wifi sux but so far it seems that it sux in almost every Holiday Inn that I'm ever in.

The building is located in a decent area close to several restaurants so finding something to eat is not a problem.

Rooms are good, clean and in good shape. Breakfast is hum drum but its the same as all the others.

Stayed here recently pre-cruise, very satisfied with everything.  We arrived very early in the AM from a red-eye flight and Tamera met us with a smile and said she would be happy to get us checked in as early as she could.  Room was available about noon instead of 3pm normal check in.
The location is perfect plenty of dining, shopping for last minute things for the cruise all within walking distance. In fact we walked about 1/4 of a mile to watch the ships all depart on Saturday night it was great.  Check out was a breeze less than 5 minutes.  Tamera was there again, called us a cab and I would say check out to arrival at the pier was less than 30 minutes total.

I would for sure stay here again pre-post cruise it was great.  Great location, attentive staff and clean rooms....

This particular location wasn't a credit to the chain. I've stayed in my fair share of HIE's across the nation and a few things about this one were sub-par.

First of all, the staff varied widely in attitude, aptitude and overall customer service skills. While one gentleman (Everett) was quite helpful and efficient, there was another employee who was not. We had several interactions (check-in, special request, dining suggestions) and it was like playing a game of good cop, bad cop.

The majority of guests stay here because of the hotel's proximity to the Convention Center and Port of Fort Lauderdale. All of us seemed to be boarding one cruise ship or another and the crowd at the breakfast bar prepared us for the cattle call of the coming week.

I'm never a fan of HIE's breakfast offerings, but all the basic items were present. Overall the hotel felt like it had gone through an update, but the physical building felt old, so certain things appeared a little funky and dated. Our bathroom was the low point, although the room itself was fine.

On a positive note, the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and a paid shuttle to the cruise. I ended up booking the same company for my return trip from the ship to the airport and it was less expensive than if I arranged it through the cruise line.

For the accommodations, the rate seemed very high. But, it was also sold out because we were traveling at a peak time. The location is good since it is on a main street with easy access to shops and restaurants.

My daughter and I recently spent one night here before we were off to our cruise down in Miami.   We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful man .  Our room was clean .   There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and that was helpful as we did not have a car.   The only issue I had was the elevator was out of service in the morning and we had to carry our luggage down a few flights of stairs.   The breakfast in the morning was decent..  I got the best rate on this room as I booked 6 months in advance, but the normal rates are on the high side, but not unusual as this is a huge tourist area.

It's everything you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express. It's not fancy, but it's clean and comfortable and somewhat recently remodeled.
The breakfast buffet is large, with lots of processed food options.
If you're traveling on the cheap, this place is great!

After spending countless hours on the internet looking for a nice, reasonably priced, place to stay a couple of days in Fort Lauderdale, after a cruise, I settled for this Holliday Inn, given the good reviews online.

I was not disappointed. The location is amazing, with countless restaurants and stores within walking distance, including a Walgreens. Very close to airport and Port Everglades. About a mile from the beach.

Staff was courteous and helpful. The room was big, clean and had a fridge, which is always nice. TV with dozens of HD channels. The bathroom was also spacious and clean.

Wifi and parking were complimentary, unlike other hotels. Even though the hotel was full, there was always place to park. The internet worked without any problems.

Breakfast was included and was above average, with lots of baked goods, bread and an amazing pancake machine.

I would definitely stay here if I ever get the chance to comeback to Fort Lauderdale.

Friendly staff, lots of restaurants within walking distance, a Walgreens just down the street. What more is there to ask for? Humidity might have been a little high in the rooms, but thats Florida for you. Free airport transportation is a terrific benefit (even if we had to wait a bit for it to arrive)
