I arrived round 11pm-ish on a Sat night & was immediately concerned for my safety. There was a seedy element hanging around the entrance, lobby, & hall. I guess you get what you pay for FOR REAL in this case. One night was more than enough at this establishment.

We are locals.  Stayed there for two nights because our house was tented. We didn't want to go far because I feed a stray cat and wanted to be close to home. We thought it was just fine.  Room was super clean and comfortable, check in was very friendly. It's in a super-safe neighborhood. I would give it a five but it's not deluxe. If you want deluxe go to the beach and pay three times the rate. Otherwise, relax and enjoy.

This is an economy motel. The staff is helpful and pleasant. It's cheap and relatively conveniently located. The complimentary breakfast is uninspired but adequate. Except for the drink that is almost, but not quite, completely unlike coffee.

Clean, pleasant, simple. We've stayed in some run-down dumps on this Florida trip, so we have been choosing each new hotel  with dread. This one was a very pleasant surprise. Clean, attractive, clean carpets, nice mattress. TV has HDMI port, so we plugged in the computer and watched our own movies. Internet is not blazing fast, but adequate. A great deal in Florida, compared to so many other places we've seen and stayed.

Where to start?

First day they gave us a room, when we got there, it was still occupied, so they had to give us another one.

Breakfast ends at 9:30AM during weekdays so at 9:15AM they close the door (which is okay), but then they start taking away the food!

They knew we were 4 guests in the room, yet they always gave us 2 to 3 towels. I complained about it and we still got 3 towels, no matter what.

One day we went to the beach, so some sand from the towels/bathing suits fell on the bathroom floor. The next day they "cleaned the room", but they didn't even sweep the sand. We were all barefoot on the room and ended up with black feet, the carpet was very dirty.

One day we wake up to the ridiculous noise of some sort of machine, noise of some kind of hammering, and noise of some workers screaming to each other. Great way to wake up while on vacation... As you can see, this hotel is a disaster, don't be fooled by the nice smiles of the employees.

Oh, at least on the last night (one night out of seven total) we had a very nice lady completely clean our room, sweep the sand and give us 4 towels.

My stay was as expected for an economy motel. My room was clean and pleasant. Staff was helpful when needed (hailing a cab, etc). I have no complaints.

The staff were extremely courteous and welcoming. I like to stay at LaQuinta hotels because of their location and value and this was by far one of the best I've visited. The staff fulfilled our special request and had our two rooms next to each other with no problem. The cleanliness was superb too. I'll definitely book this location again on my next trip to Fort Lauderdale.

Stay away from here, pay an extra 5.00 for a better stay. The carpet smelled and the tub was dirty and chipped. The counter help was rude and the continental breakfast was okay for free food, not really free. The room was 217 and right next to the air conditioning machine. I heard it all night.  Buyer beware.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it has been the worst experience of my life when it comes to hotels. I made my reservation online and wanted to save some money but I regret it, it wasn't worth it. Some rooms next to us were packed with people, I'm talking 6 to 8 guys in one room, they were loud, we felt unsafe. Management is ignoring this issue.
Room was unclean as well as the bathroom.

We've stayed at many La Quintas--the price is good, the rooms are clean, and you get a decent breakfast...BUT we had very mixed feelings about this place, so here are the pros and cons...

Pros: Good location/neighborhood. Hotel staff is wonderful--very nice and helpful workers at the front desk, the grounds are very well maintained--property is taken care of, and the rooms are basic, but seemed clean when we arrived...

CONS:
1. Apparently this hotel is a dorm for the teen students that attend the foreign language school next door. Big groups of teens took over the pool area---some are rude, obnoxious, and full of vulgar language, others were perfectly fine.
2. Very noisy at night---since it's a pet friendly motel, we heard dogs barking (sometimes at night, sometimes early morning), we had a room on the inside--heard lots of noise--people yelling outside in the main/middle area. Not the best sleeping environment here.
3. Housekeepers are pretty much useless. They changed our sheets and took our dirty towels--and that's all they did the whole week we were here. Never left us stuff (clean towels, coffee, cups, TP, etc.), never cleaned the floors (not a room I'd walk barefoot in!) or wiped down counters. We had to go get our own towels, toilet paper, and kleenex, since housekeeping kept forgetting to leave anything in the room. This was annoying.
4. WiFi never worked.
5. I was so glad to have a fitness center to work out in, but due to the moldy smell, I had no desire to stay in there.

Overall, I feel bad giving low ratings, but due to the cons of my experience at the hotel, that's why I cannot give them a higher rating. If I were just rating the staff and hotel grounds, I'd probably give them 4 stars.

I only stayed for one night, so I didn't get the full experience I guess. But coming from a moldy extended stay america, this place was amazing. The room was clean and spacious, whoever cleaned it did a wonderful job, they cleaned behind and under everything which I usually check out of curiosity. Room seem updated to me, the bed was very comfortable and good channels on the TV. I'd stay there again.

Some friends and I stayed here the night of 1/10 while we were in town to visit the Funky Buddha Brewery. We weren't going to need a hotel room for very long (just to come and go a little bit and to get some rest on Sat. night) so we opted for a room here since it was inexpensive and convenient.

Nothing stood out about the hotel/room; it had plenty of quirks (loud AC noise that was on/off throughout the night as I tried to sleep; some weird characters in the parking lot) and wasn't as nice as I was expecting it to be. It wasn't terrible but the design and atmosphere was decidedly old-fashioned and, in my opinion, needs a refresh.

I didn't go inside of the main entrance/lobby at all (a friend did the checking in/out for all of us since the room was under his name) so I can't provide any details about that.

I don't see myself staying here again during future visits to the area. I am very likely to opt for something nicer/more cozy, even if the price is higher.

2-2.25 stars.

Stayed here for two nights before taking a cruise. The rooms are not too bad. Although the building is older it's been updated a little bit inside the guest rooms.

Staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. We had to ask for towels several times and they were always friendly.

I didn't swim in the pool or hot tub. The hot tub looked nasty. The pool looked a little cleaner. Some of my family members swam and didn't complain about it.

The only thing that was actually very disappointing was the breakfast. There were not many choices and aside from oranges and bananas there was only junk food. Cereal, bagels and bread,  oatmeal loaded with sugar, etc.
