The room was a non smoking room but found cigarette ashes on the window sill with the window open. The carpet felt moist. The room smelled horrible. The shower head water pressure sucks. The ac took at least 5 hours for the room to feel cool. Only 17 channels.

It's definitely worth the money. Never again! My boyfriend likes cheap hotels as where I love the Marriott.

The hotel itself was super hot and the breakfast area was hot as well.
Giving it one star because there  is no rating lower.

This place sucks.  Asked for a non-smoking room which it was not.  Room is extremely dirty.  Broken fixtures.  Do not stay here.

Just spent Spring Break here. I was running a bit late due to some rental car trouble and called ahead to inform the staff, they were friendly and said it was no problem. Booked a non-smoking King Sized room, upon check-in it was exactly what I requested.

The environment is casual and normal. I usually take a look at the type of cars parked and they were all decent. The other members staying were some families and some spring breakers all polite and friendly - none of which looked ghetto or shady. The noise level wasn't too bad in the hallways, it's just that sometimes at night it would get a little loud because of some trucks in the parking lot (not sure what they were doing) although it did look shady outside at night once and was concerning (group of men hanging in the lot sort of near my car) however, in the morning everything was safe and sound with my car.

The room was clean and housekeeping changed the linens everyday as requested. Didn't try the breakfast so no comment on that. The heat and cool worked perfect. The tv was a nice flat panel. I'm very odor sensitive so thank God there wasn't any horrible smells and the hotel was ventilated well.

It's roughly 15 mins from the beach and 5 mins from I-90, around 20-25 mins from Miami Beach which is not too bad and if you're landing and leaving from FTL airport its 5 mins. There's a dunkin' donuts and few other great restaurants nearby at fair prices.

Overall, I didn't have a bad experience and would choose this place again if I'm on a budget. I usually stay in luxurious hotels (Embassy/Double Tree/Raddison) but if you're on a budget and you want to save some money, but not stay at some weirdo ghetto motel or hostel or shady places, this is your pick! For the $40 per night savings, definitely worth it.

The LaQuinta Inn in Fort Lauderdale Taramac East is not half as bad as people make it out to be. I checked in around 4 p.m. today and was greeted with a smile. Everything was ready for my check in and printed out. She just needed to verify the payment and see an ID which took less than 2 minutes. Then I was off to my room on the second floor about halfway down the hallway from the elevator. It was quiet this afternoon and now it's almost 1030 at night and still it's very quiet.

My room was about $80 total per night and that got me a pillow top king bed with 5 pillows, a sitting chair, working desk with lamp and extra outlets, flat screen TV, coffee maker,  hand soap, liquid body soap, & Pantene shampoo. The shower also has one of those curved bars that makes the shower feel 50 percent larger. There is also a mini refrigerator. microwave in the room, and wall mounted air conditioning system.

My favorite part is that there is ample free parking, high-speed internet, and the breakfast buffet all included in the price. The only drawback is that is 20 minutes away from the beach area where most of the Yelp Spring Break 2015 events are. Aside from the location everything is pretty darn good.
