EXCELLENT VALUE............large rooms, comfortable beds, free shuttle to/from airport & cruise port, free breakfast.   Our room had a mircowave, frig, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, flat screen tv.   Beautiful garden area.   Gift shop in the lobby.   We were very very pleasantly surprised.   We will stay here again the next time we are in Ft. Lauderdale.    If you're looking for a nice place to stay that won't cost an arm & a leg..this is it.   We had 8 people (4 rooms)....ages 44 - 78.   Everyone was happy with our hotel choice.    We stayed here one night before getting on a cruise ship.   Rodeway free shuttle picked us up at the airport.   They took us to the cruise ship the next day.   We purchased a return shuttle from them to pick us up at the cruise ship & take us to the airport.   Everything went very smooth.   Izzy (manager) was very friendly.   Breakfast was fun!!  The "Captain" was there to greet & entertain everyone.  Most of the hotel was booked with cruise ship passengers.    p.s.  Not the REAL Captain.  :)

This place is great. The food is good and the rooms are clean. Our room was upgraded to a jacuzzi suite since it was our honeymoon. Izzy upgraded our room and made sure we were taken care of. When it came time to check out, Kourtney allowed us to check out at one instead of eleven because our flight was later in the afternoon. I would go to this hotel again without a doubt.

This hotel is a jumping off place for Port Everglades cruise ship passengers.  Upon our arrival, the hotel said that here would be a 45 minute wait for the shuttle at the FLL airport because there were "large groups" arriving about dinner time.  Therefore, we took a taxi for about $17.00.  There was an extra $5.00/day charge for "shuttle and parking services" billed to us even though we didn't take the shuttle, didn't use the parking, and prepaid the hotel bill through Choice Hotels.  The room was very noisy - noisy air conditioning system, noisy neighbors, and a VERY noisy morning PA system announcing shuttles to the cruise ships.  All in  all, there are better hotel choices than this Rodeway Inn.

Like all hotels this place has good and bad points. The good by far outweigh the bad. We stayed both before (3 days) and after (1 day) our cruise. Desk staff were wonderful and very friendly. They answer the same questions over and over with a smile and friendly attitude. The rooms are clean and have all the basic needs met. AC was a little noisey but blew plenty of cold air. TV was new flat screen. The resturant/bar was wonderful. Megan makes a great margareta. The food was very good and the brownie with ice cream dessert was out of this world. The breakfast was basic hotel continental breakfast.
Bad points: When returning I called and was put on hold for 20 minutes twice. Finally got a taxi back to the hotel. The mgr apologized said it was pretty busy with 7 ships in harbor, but he gave us a free drink coupon to make up for the taxi fair. The wait at the airport for the shuttle upon arrival was only about 15 minutes and straight to the airport on our trip home. The breakfast coffee is bad instant.
Overall we will probably keep this place on our list for our next cruise from Ft L.

Better than the reviews lead me to believe. Izzy is great, and the staff is helpful, however, it's a slow check in. Overall, you get what you pay for, and a little more.

Warning!  Beware if you return from a cruise and try to check into this hotel after arriving on their shuttle.  You can check in before 3pm...BUT, it will cost  you $20 plus tax! That's  in addition to what you already paid for for your reservation. Rooms are alright nothing to write home about.  Would  I recommend this hotel...NOT!  Your $$$ is better spent somewhere else.

My family and I had stayed during our time in Florida. We booked through Priceline and when we got to the front desk problem number one arised, there was a $6 fee that we hadn't been told about until that point. We had the money of course just were not alerted of it till then. Behind the front desk was a wall of alcoholic beverages, and down a hallway a gift-shop. We booked here instead of somewhere else because they had called themselves a resort in their ad. I would not classify it as a resort ever. They have a walk space in the middle of all the rooms were trees are, the pool, a sandbox, and a few of those wood things you take pictures with your head in. When we got to our room, we discover that it was very outdated. I felt like I went back in time. The room wasn't very clean, as when I moved the nightstand (to plug in a charger to the wall behind it) a found a pair of pajamas. Someone had left them there who knows how long ago. All I know is that too miss something that big you would have to not do a good job cleaning. As we sat down to go to bed that night as natural any modern day family would do we got on our devices. They had supposedly free wifi (but that's what we were told the service charge or $6 was for at the beginning) only to discover that it was so slow it couldn't even load clash of clans (an app my family plays often). We went down the next morning to get breakfast, and their sat some people who when we walked in acted as if we had invaded their own home. There was also of course many people drinking (being as that's all they sell for drinks beside diet coke and sprite). I give it two stars due to the fact that it was cheap and in a good location. I wouldn't recommend staying there, but there is a Holiday Inn across the street that looks nice so if you can spare the money I'd stay there.

Clean basic hotel for before or after cruise.  Free breakfast and wifi. Beds were firm and comfy.  Kourtney at the front desk was awesome. Very helpful and answering all my questions with a smile. Wish she worked at every hotel we stay at.

Barely ok for one night. Priceline lists it as 2 star but it's more like 1 star.  I was a bit scared to stay there and it's crazy they charge a $5 hotel fee for what I'm not sure.  They don't even have enough parking if you get there late.    The room was ok and had a new tv with crappy reception.  As others have mentioned in other posts this looks like a place where cops is filmed LOL!  The only good about here was the price I paid via Priceline.  We will look elsewhere and pay extra next time in FLL.

Came down to go on a cruise and see my family. Called the hotel for shuttle pickup from the airport it was about 20 minutes. Not really long wait. Check in was good I got an upgraded deluxe room near the pool. I walked in the room it was nice the room had tile floor and was clean. The front desk guy was nice, gave me some good info on where to go. I was happy they had a gift shop as I forgot a few things. The lady working in there Janine  was very helpful. The shuttle took us to the ship by 11am and was on board for lunch. Place was very busy. This is a great place to stay before a cruise. I will come back.

This place is a great place to park your car when going on a cruise from Ft Lauderdale. The price is cheaper and they provide great service to the pier and back. The wait is very minimal. I will use them again on my next cruise.

This hotel "specializes" in serving customers who are leaving for or returning from cruises.  Typically, the cruses return to port and expect guests to be off the ship no later than 9 or 9:30 AM.  The free hotel shuttle picks up at the cruise port and once at the hotel, guests are reminded to tip the shuttle driver.  Once at the hotel, you can't check into your room until 3 PM, unless you pay an extra fee to check in early.  So, even though your room is ready, you can't access it unless you pay an additonal fee.  If you don't want to pay the fee, you can pay to have your luggage stored and then for another fee, you can take the shuttle into town.  The rooms are fairly clean with the exception of the  rust and mold in the bathroom.  There is a free breakfast consisting of various breads to toast, hard boiled eggs, ready made waffles and various juices and coffee.  This is a self serve breakfast, but there are several tip jars with signge reminding guests to leave a tip.  Tips are generally given for exceptional service, this is a self-service dining room!  No staff assisted us in getting our breakfast and although the breakfast was "free", we paid over $200 per night for the room.  And finally, the lobby is utter chaos in the mornings with a shuttle organizer wih a microphone telling bad jokes and insulting folks; his voice is broadcast all over the hotel.   There is a man walking arouind interacting with guests who is dressed like a ship captain.  We aren't sure what his job or role is, but he's fairly obbnoxious.  During breakfast, the "Captain" started signing the Canadian national anthem very loud!  We won't make this mistake again.

I posted an honest review after a night in this hotel (see below) and received an immediate private comment from what I presume was the owner (Izzy), that began, "Boy, you're mean." and then told me to phone him, and he would refund the cost of my room.  As a member of the Yelp community, I do not post negative reviews to angle for freebies, nor do I often post negative reviews.  I'm afraid this is another mark against a hotel that I think is probably trying to become more than it has the capacity to be at this time.

Do not stay here. The worst accommodations and just scary for women traveling alone. Their courtesy bus never showed up at the airport to pick us up. Front desk check was appalling and obvious that everyone hates their job. Rooms were dismal. We slept in our clothes with our suitcases piled in front of the door.

A relatively convenient place to stay for a night before leaving for a cruise.  The rooms are clean, but a little rundown.  The staff are nice.  The shuttle service is convenient, but unreliable.  Make sure to plan a lot of extra time because you will wait at least 30-45 minutes for a shuttle to arrive.

I happened to be put there by Delta Airlines after I was unable to land in NYC just as the blizzard was beginning--they actually flew us back to Florida and gave us vouchers for the place. It is very beautiful, has wonderful gardens and pool, has a nice laundry, great breakfast. The bar's menu leaves something to be desired, but after all, it's a bar menu, not a restaurant menu. I also liked the shuttle that drove us to places in the town and back to the airport when we finally got another plane to NYC. All in all, a really nice place. My only complaint--why don't they spell it correctly? ("Roadway").

Very nice motel for the price!! Stayed here for two nights before moving onto Miami. Room was clean and decorated nicely, and the staff was very friendly. The free continental breakfast was great!! Fresh fruit, yogurt and make your own waffles among other things. There is a sports bar and restaurant, Marina 84, attached to the hotel which was very convenient for lunch. Used the free shuttle service when arriving from the airport and it was only about a 15 minute wait. The pool was also nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again!!

My first impression of this facility was bright & cheery thru the website, the young lady I spoke with when I made the reservation was fantastic !!
We were so excited about spending the night before our cruise in Fort Lauderdale!!

But that's about the only nice thing I can say about this $200.00 a night  dump !!!

We were told to call when we landed, which I did. And was told 20 minutes, which turned out to be a hour wait for the shuttle to be picked up. And the shuttle driver was not impressive at all !!!

Then when trying to check in the gentlemen behind the desk had no idea what he was doing & ran my discover card so much they declined it. And then the phone calls & emails started coming from Discover because they thought someone stole my card.

We get to the room, which was absolutely filthy, dust bunnies everywhere.  the TV wouldn't change off the Spanish channel & the remote wouldn't work!!!

Bathroom was filthy & the tub & sink wouldnt drain !!!

But wait this is the best part of this place !!!! We decide to go & grab a bite to eat in the restaurant we sit at the bar & the bartender approaches up & started chatting. I stepped away a couple times during our time there. I notice the bartender has a interest in my fiancee but when i come back she steps right away .... Low n behold when we leave the restaurant & are walking back to the room my fiancee passes me a piece of paper with the bartender's # & telling him to meet her on the rooftop at some club in Miami !!!!!

The next morning at our breakfast (which was a joke) we were told we could pay $2.00 extra to get early shuttle to the port, I would have paid $2,000.00 for shuttle ride to the port to get out of this dump !!!!

And the funny thing is, we had a couple of other people who shared the same shuttle to the port & felt the same way !!!

So of coarse when I returned back to Boston & I had a email from Rodeway asking about my stay &  I expressed everything that I have in this Yelp review.
And I got a generic apolgy from Izzy, well Im sorry Izzy your generic email is not going to do !!!

Your hotel should be shut down !!!

Like many others we booked it because it was the best deal we could find.  I stayed there pre-cruise on a very busy day -- Celebrity, Princess, RC, Carnival were all sailing, many more than one ship. Crazy busy.

We arrived  in the evening. Airport pickup was a reasonable wait. About 30 minutes I'd guess. Check-in went quickly for us. No more than 10 minutes.

Room was basic & clean located on the second floor near the reception. Had everything we needed. The next morning we got up to find no hot water. They started looking into it and claimed they had to restart our boiler or something and that it would be back. I thought it was BS but we postponed the shower and went for breakfast. Breakfast was standard fare -- cereals, eggs, waffle maker, etc. When we got back to our room the hot water was indeed back (two-star review narrowly avoided) and we got our hot showers.

Getting loaded onto the shuttles to the ships took a long time. But considering they had literally hundreds of guests to transport it went relatively well. Still it would have been nice if they would have told us in advance that the shuttle for our ship would be sent dead last. The whole chaotic herding of cruisers is handled by a jovial guy telling lame jokes but generally keeping things moving and spirits up.  I figured either we wait there or at the ship. What's the difference. We ended up on board at 1pm in plenty of time to get lunch & settle in.

There was also a roving guy in a captains uniform there to provide some humor and keep spirits up.

There was a little convenience store on the premises as well as an on-site restaurant called Reef. At the front desk there's a rack of wine for about $15 / bottle for those who want to carry their allowance of wine to the ship. I was going to purchase a corked bottle and the lady kindly reminded me I might want a screw cap if I don't have a corkscrew and want to avoid the fee. I didn't catch her name but she was very friendly -- and pretty -- answering all the same questions for the 1000th time with a genuine smile on her face.

I'm giving an extra star to counteract all the overly negative reviews. You get what you pay for and this place has the best value proposition and great staff too.

We stayed for two nights prior to our cruise.  The help is rude, especially Ryan.  I had to have him repeat what he said several times as he was eating sunflower seeds while he talked/chewed.  The rooms are old and not very clean.
What I did like about the place, was the free shuttle.   They do have a large gift shop, although there was nothing I needed.
I did appreciate that they had wine for sale since we had no car.
Would I stay again or recommend the place?  I don't think so.

Awful shuttle guy Izzy gave us the deal of a lifetime!!  a long stinky shuttle ride to and from the beach on his schedule for $50. Unfortunately it was are first time here and didn't think twice about spending $ on taking my children on a beach adventure. Izzy was a sleaze ball and I won't be returning or recommending this place! Yuck staff inside was unhelpful and unprofessional as well.

Horrible, scary, dirty, those are the words that come to mind. They sell fifths of vodka and condoms in the lobby right behind the check-in desk. I was bumped and these are the only accommodations Delta Airlines could find me. I walked into my room and it smelled of urine, smoke, and some sort of heavy cleaning agent. Needless to say, I left immediately. Absolutely disgusted.

Photos of room, in now way reflect the rooms they put you in. Purchased a 2 night stay with Groupon, and the Hotel couldn't find it! But I called and talked with the desk, to let them know when I was arriving, to make sure everything was ok, because I was arriving in after Midnight. The Front Desk Guy, was a total jerk! And called me a lier! I ended up staying the 1 night. Definitely won't be back! And front desk guy, if your so miserable, maybe you shouldn't be in the hospitality industry!

The "nickel and dime hotel" should be the real name for this hotel!  We were told we could check in early for an additional $20 fee,  we were charged $1 for printing a page off the computer and they wanted $2 per person for the early shuttle to the cruise port. That in addition to the constant barrage of announcements that the gift shop is open! The manager is always promoting or selling something!  He is very LOUD!

The rooms are ok, clean and a place to lay your head. The pool furniture cushions are covered in mold. Don't forget to bring a towel from your room because there are none at the pool. Breakfast is basic continental fare. It was okay. The girls did keep the area clean.
There is nothing in the vacinity of the hotel!  You cannot walk to any stores or restaurants. You can of course pay extra for a shuttle to local hot spots like Winn Dixie.

To some it up...you definitely get what you pay for! We would not come back here again and would not recommend it. This did not set the proper tone for our fabulous cruise vacation!

This hotel is not a 5 star hotel, nor do they try or pretend to be one. The rooms were clean and could use some maintenance. We stayed here the night before and the day after our cruises. The staff was very helpful and nice. This place prides itself on customer service. The shuttle service was excellent and convenient, and the drivers were friendly and helpful. The manager on duty coordinating the airport and cruise transportation was great. He was loud, but he got you on the right shuttle at the right time so that you arrived at your ship when you needed to be there. I will use them a gain.
