I'd give this a "1" if it weren't for two important considerations:  a great location and free parking.  I honestly don't think I've ever stayed in a room that was so run down.  Neither the light in the hallway entrance or the overhead light in the bedroom worked.  I had to make do with the few rays of light that came through the bathroom door.  The bathroom was another story:  the exhaust fan was yanked out of the ceiling and a good share of the the reflective coating of the mirror had rubbed off years ago.  There was no way to control the AC; it was either off (stifling) or on (freezing).  I can imagine guests waking up hourly to adjust it. Not so much as a cup of coffee for guests in the morning. Wifi if you are willing to sit outside the office. That said, I found no evidence of bedbugs even three days hence, so I don't regret my stay.  OK for a night but don't spend your entire vacation here unless this price point is your only option.

The porking next door respectfully ceased well before 9 p.m. Convenient location made for swift food delivery. The 5 a.m. front desk clerk was cheerful and service-oriented.

New and modern can be cool, but charmingly worn has its own allure.

    Sea Beach was a peach.

I suppose you get what you pay for...

I stayed here for 10 nights. The place is relatively clean, but don't go here thinking you are staying at any chain motel. This place has been "ridden hard and put up wet," as they say.

After who knows how many years of spring break partyers funneling thru this place, it couldn't be more clear that upkeep is a last priority. My sink didn't drain. My tub constantly flowed with hot water. The towels were so thin, it was like I was trying to dry myself with a cheese cloth.

If you're on a tight budget, looking to party near the beach, this is your spot. If you have a family, or can afford anything else, you might want to consider something else.

Also, they advertise free wifi, which is true, just as long as you are sitting next to the office. Don't plan on using your computer in your room.

I was pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The wi-fi worked perfectly for me. Not sure what people are expecting for a budget motel in Fort Lauderdale Beach. We were happy!

This is hands down the most disgusting place I have ever experienced. I checked in and was taken aback by the appearance inside the room, but I knew it wasn't a 5 star hotel to begin with. I'm not high maintenance whatsoever, but I literally refused to stay here. I put my stuff down, went to the beach, and returned to the room and realized that I would probably leave with a disease if I placed my body on any item in the room. There was a giant mysterious blue stain on the couch. There was a baseball hat left on the TV set. The room had an unpleasant odor.. And there was literally pieces of hair on the sheets because I inspected them. The AC barely worked and didn't cool the entire "apartment" at all. The most disturbing part was when I went to plug my phone charger into the wall next to the bed, and saw a dead cockroach on the floor. That was the last straw. The room was clearly not cleaned. With that said, I went down to the office to inform the man working. What a waste of my time. He said there's nothing he can do about it and to wait for the lady in the morning. He did not offer us a new room or anything. As a result, I took my bags and left. There was no way I was staying in that disgusting, infested room. I had to pay for the night I didn't even stay but I got over that. If I didn't get a refund for the remaining days, I still wouldn't have stayed there. When I went back in the morning to check out, the lady seemed offended and testy and already checked us out. She seemed like she did not believe what we told her about the room. I do not feel like she responded to the situation in the right way whatsoever.. But she certainly was not my concern. All in all, even if you're on a budget- do NOT stay here!

If I could give 2.5 stars, I would. And to be fair, there are aspects of this stay that are far above the overall star rating, while others are far below.

    For example:

Check-in was easy, convenient, and friendly. The woman who works behind the desk let us know that our room wasn't yet ready (we were 5 hours early), but she took my cellphone and called me an hour later when it was ready! Anything I needed from the front desk (more toilet paper, luggage storage at check in and check out, to change the length of my stay) was readily accomodated with a smile.

Beds were comfy, TV was a flat screen and a wide selection of cable channels.

There is an ice machine outside, and the pool loungers looked like a great place to get sun (I tried to get my significant other to lay there every day but he was determined to hit the beach). Sheets were changed frequently, room service tidied the room daily.

Rooms come with a fridge and a microwave!

The rooms are kind of gross. It's probably hard to keep rooms nice in a damp, muggy climate at $100/night, but I have a pretty high threshold for acceptable conditions and this one rode the line and crossed over a few times.

The washcloths and towels were bare bones and not clean. They had been laundered, but there was HAIR in my wash cloth fibers. The towels comically only cover about 60% of the areas you need to cover when you get out of the shower.

Sink & Bathtub are kind of nasty. Just rusty, no stoppers in the sink, etc. Nothing I can't live with.

There were bugs in the bathroom. Little tiny roaches, but roaches nonetheless. I killed a few, and they weren't really in the living space, but it was still enough to make you sleep with one eye open (just kidding, I drank all day, I slept like a baby).

The soda machines are pretty dilapidated and there was no water in ANY soda machine, which -- given the inebriation mentioned above -- was a real issue for me on my first night.

Overall -- we got what we paid for.. it's a pretty run-down place, but it the location is great and the price is reasonable. I would recommend this place if you get a great deal through expedia, etc., but I probably wouldn't come back myself.

I can't really disagree with the other reviewers (except my wifi worked perfectly in my room and my room was not close to the office).  This is a budget hotel with a great location that could use some upkeep but then would cost more money.  I say keep it (and the prices) as is.  Staff was friendly and the place was clean.  For these ridiculously low prices and great location, I don't think you can ask for much more.  Free parking too.

Oh and the towels are thin and kind of small because I'm guessing they don't want people to take them to the beach and keep them.  Bring your own towels if you want big and smooth ones!   My only complaint is I never got my wake up call but I always set a back-up alarm with my phone so no harm done.
