I gave a poor review of this hotel on the website I booked it though, including the fact that only 1 of the two doors in my room locked and the property wasn't secure.  I received the following email from the owner Jorge. Keep in mind that they upgraded me after they gave my room away, the girl at the desk didn't know and made me climb up and down stairs with my bags.

"The most ungrateful person in the year, wake up of your drama queen look,  you were given a private room even if you paid for a dorm, and you were expecting a better service, dont ever step in this place again, people like you believe you are better and what you are is just a complicated human being, UNGRATEFUL and unhappy,"

Where in the business world is it acceptable to send an email such as this to a dissatisfied customer? I didn't even mention that the pool was dirty and the free airport transfer they advertise wasn't available.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of South Florida and the business would not reply to their attempts on this complaint.  They said they are providing consumers with a negative report regarding this property and suggested I contact the Attorney General.

This is great place to stay before a cruise! Glad we discovered it!

We travel to Ft Lauderdale frequently to take carribean cruises. We usually stay in a place that is budget friendly and provides free transportation to/from the airport. Unfortunately, those other places are in the middle of no where on a busy highway. From seeing other fellow cruisers -- others have also discovered this place.

The Bridge at Cordova was a wonderful find! It is walking distance to restaurants and the water taxi. We paid $80/night and got a full kitchen and a private courtyard with a hammock.  Yes, you could get a room at the Embassy Suites for about $160+ per night. The Bridge at Cordova has a lot of old Florida charm. The place is very clean. DON'T LET THEIR WEBSITE SCARE YOU into thinking this is a party place for college kids. It was quiet and peaceful. Jorge, the owner and his staff, provides service that is comparable to the Ritz Carlton -- seriously! We called from the airport, and he said he would be there in 15 mins, he was there in 10 mins. He quickly checked us in and had our bags delivered to our room. Here is what makes The Bridge at Cordova a place that we will go back to again and again: (1) budget friendly; (2)  free transportation to/from the airport; (2) transportation to the cruise terminal for $6/person which is cheaper than a taxi for the two of us; (3) free continental breakfast served poolside; (4) close to restaurants -- my fav is Southport Raw bar and other attractions so no need for a rental car; (5) close to a supermarket if you choose to cook; and (6) Jorge let us return after our cruise and stored our luggage while we spent the day siteseeing Ft Lauderdale. He then provided us with complementary transportation back to the airport for our 5pm flight.
