This place is crap. I went on my first official vacation and stayed here during my visit in Fort Myers. The location is 30 minutes away from the beach and far from any decent attractions.

I went outside to check out the pool area one night while it was raining. I wanted to see if it was worth swimming in the next day (which it wasn't - the pool was filthy with trash).. Little did I realize that if you leave your room to go to the pool, the door doesn't let you back in; meaning you have to walk AROUND the entire hotel to the front lobby in order to get back to your room. So, as I was walking around the hotel, apparently the pavement switched over to sleek slippery tile and I ended up falling hard right onto my knee. I went into the lobby, bleeding badly, and it took the employee forever to find some form of aid to clean up the mess. After I fell she threw the "Wet Floor" sign outside...

The next day I spoke with the GM of Baymont Inn and she told me the door to the pool area was broken and that it wasn't her fault people had to walk around the hotel to get back inside. She also mentioned that they only put "Wet Floor" signs out after it rains (which is silly under these exigent circumstances).

Basically, this woman who calls herself a prideful owner was terribly rude and did nothing to resolve my concern. This place is filled with issues that clearly aren't being resolved and they pose several safety hazards. Pay a little extra, stay somewhere closer to the beach and avoid this hell hole by all means necessary.

Noticed the only review on here was extremely negative and also very old. It seems the hotel has been updated since then because my experience was much better.

My husband and I stayed in a King bed room. Plenty of room with a nice sized desk, chair, ottoman, Kind size bed (obviously) and wall mounter a/c. The bathroom also had really good size with hot water but not a great deal of water pressure. Room also had a very nice sized refrigerator and microwave.   Closet had a full sized ironing board and iron.

Lets break down the different sections
    Bathroom:
Ample sized and decently cleaned. Shower curtain and tub had some staining but nothing horrible. Coffee maker is on the bathroom counter/vanity. Hook behind the door for towels was broken but did have a full length mirror on the opposite side of the door (facing the entrance of the room, not inside the bathroom). Also had a hair dryer. Toiletries they provided where your standard facial soap, bar soap, shampoo and conditioner. No lotion but they did offer a shower cap and makeup remover wipes (points for that, the first time I have seen these in a hotel!).

    Bedroom:
Ample Size with a comfortable bed. 2 side tables with working lamps and radio/alarm clock. Large dresser drawer with nice sized TV (cable and HBO). Wall unit a/c that worked well and wasn't very noisy at all.

    Desk area:
Nice sized desk for those needing to set up laptops to work. Comfortable desk chair that seems rather new. There is also a chair/sofa seat with ottoman that come together to form a chaise. Not very large but still comfortable.

    Hotel in general:
Breakfast is offered from 6:00am-9:30am but we got up too late to tell u about it

Pool seemed clean but we did not have time to use it

Small fitness center with limited but functional equipment.

Business center consists of one computer and one printer but it has internet service and plenty of room for any sort of work.

Room was quiet. Hotel was clean. Elevator was working properly. Plenty of parking. Rocking chairs in the front add a nice home feel. Very friendly front desk staff. Not a 5 Star hotel but absolutely nothing wrong with staying there. Would definitely stay there again.
