This property has clearly been forgotten by management/the owners for some time.  It's inexpensive, but that is ALL it can say for itself.  First, the rate went up $20 between her taking my credit card over the phone and when the boyfriend checked in.  We were told we were getting a 'better' room (translation: slightly larger bed) anyway.  I took pictures of how disgusting the room they gave us was.  The floor was coming up (the picture of just inside the front door will show you it had been that way for awhile...you can see where the door opening into the curling floor had knocked pieces out of it) and a tripping hazard awaited anyone entering or exiting the room.  The couch smelled and the arm was torn to shreds (another pic I got), and the lights on the kitchen ceiling are coming apart.  There is no breakfast service, no ready-made ice on the property (but a filthy, hairy ice tray waits for you in the freezer), they make mention of a coffee bar somewhere in the building but I never looked for it because I had no faith it would be any better than the room.  The tv doesn't have the channels that the provided guide in the room boasts.  The tub was dirty (complete with dried, crusty stuff on the walls, which wouldn't show on the pics), the kitchen had crumbs everywhere and the burner on the stove was broken.  Also, we were treated to a five-thirty am wakeup call we specifically chose not to ask for because a guest at the front desk who was ALSO complaining warned us not to ask for a wake up call because it wouldn't come at the right time.

We did complain to management, who told us the room had previously been a 'long-term rental' and that the housekeeping staff  'may not have alerted them about the needed repairs as soon as they should have'.  Regarding the wakeup call, I was told the front desk staff the previous day "might have forgotten to reset the system".  Incidentally, it took me 4 calls to get to speak to the manager.  The manager doesn't come to work until after check-out, and apparently does not return calls.  You have to call and ask for the assistant manager, but that won't be offered upfront.

We were given our money back, which is all well and good, but I would really be remiss in my duty to my fellow yelpers not to let you know what this place is really like.  Those nice pics Mark N. took 2 years ago are no resemblance to the property I went to.

Pros: mostly clean, new floors in our room.
Cons, front desk never answers phone, roach in our kitchen sink, shower wouldn't work until maintenance man came, free morning coffee looks remarkably like tea, apparently people live there with pets and specifically a woman name Mary in room 124 has a dog that barks incessantly. She sleeps with TV on full blast. Which is the Wall our head board was on. She was slamming door all morning as well. Front desk knows Mary and shrugged it off. I will take the long drive the day of my scheduled activities than to ever stay there again. Also we did not get the room we booked. We got lesser quality and were charged for same one we booked. Don't do it, trust me don't do it!

This hotel is right off of Rt. 41 and is in a pretty convenient spot. Let's get one thing straight: it's a budget hotel and you should not expect frills of any sort (then again, you probably expected this due to its very low price!) There isn't even maid service, so, you'll have to take your own used towels downstairs if needed. There's no breakfast service, either...however, thankfully, a few options exist such as Dunkin Donuts, a few bagel shops and a Denny's, all within short distance.

The staff at Crestwood Suites is extremely helpful and goes out of their way for you. As for the room, I had no problems with it. Does it look like a 1991 time warp? Yes...but honestly, I never stay in hotel rooms beyond my 7-hour sleep at night, so I personally don't care for expensive hotels, nor bells & whistles. Ironically, you get both HBO and internet access at Crestwood.

It's a top choice if you're doing business in the area and want to be a short drive from RSW airport. Their motto is "Always Clean and Friendly" and it's true. I didn't find any other hotels near the low price they offer, and I got them packaged in with my trip from Orbitz.
