I stayed at this Hampton Inn while in Florida on business. We arrived late evening, after a long day of flights. Our room was filthy; with red stains on the wallpapering of the kitchenette. The blanket and pillow package for the roll away bed looked and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned/replaced in years. We wrapped the blanket in the sheets to feel more sanitary about using it. The breakfast area, particularly the carpeting, looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in months. The carpeting had visible staining and was in terrible need of a vacuum. Aside from the cleanliness, Hampton Inn prides itself on convenience for business travelers, but this hotel does not have wifi. We were not able to complete any work during our stay. Would not stay here again.
Stayed June 2010, traveled on business

We stayed here for a long weekend because it was close to my in-laws house. As far as Hamptons go, it was pretty standard. The room was very large, and was clean. The free breakfast was nicer than most. Most of the staff were nice, though the maid who would have cleaned our room looked like she just got done doing some sort of drugs / attending a week long rock concert.
This hotel is fine if you're vacationing somewhere else or on business, but do NOT plan for this to be the pool you hang out at for a week or you'll be sorely disappointed.

Let me start by saying that I spend about 100 nights a year on the road in hotels.
Under reconstruction, and coming along quite nicely. The hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly. Location is just off the beaten path so the traffic isn't crazy around it. But it's close to everything. If you want to cruise out to Sanibell it's a straight shot, or hang a left and you are almost on top of Fort Myers Beach. Will be back to this location.

Your basic Hampton Inn. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was ok although the shower wasn't great. It was a walk-in shower (not a tub) and the water pressure wasn't the best. The mattress was super comfortable and I didn't hear a lot of noise so either there weren't a lot of guests around or the walls are thick. The complimentarly breakfast wasn't as good as I seem to remember other Hampton Inns being although it wasn't bad. They just didn't seem to have as many food options as I remember in other locations. I wish that hotels that serve cereal would realize that not everyone uses regular or skim milk these days. Why do you think that Lactaid, Smart Balance and Almond and Soy Milk are so popular and sold in every grocery store? If you are going to serve cereal, please think about offering other alternatives.
Free wifi which was nice. Every hotel should have free wifi. Price of room was a little expensive for what I got although I would consider staying here again if I could find a room for a little less than what I paid.

A typical Hampton Inn with a few things that take it up a star...
Great location for getting on the ferry to Key West. 5 minutes away -- nothing closer that isn't on the beach itself.
Great front desk staff. When the computer terminal in the lobby wouldn't print my boarding pass, they invited me behind the front desk to use their terminal and printer. Very nice.
Great breakfast too. First, it was hot and ready to go at 6am. Then, it was actually pretty good. Two waffle makers!
All in all, a good stay. Thanks!

I like the Hampton hotels. This location is not in a happening area but is close to the beach. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly. The water pressure is low in the bathroom shower and sink but it's doable.

Worst front desk customer service I've experienced. The first lady I dealt with at checkin had an attitude and I thought maybe just her but as I checked out another lady gave me attitude when she misunderstood I wanted my receipt emailed not printed out. Not that hard just to smile and do your job. I know it's not a fun job but I was not being difficult.

Poor customer service when having to cancel a reservation due to a change in business travel plans. Dominic was rude and abrasive and would only agree to no penalty unless he could rent out the room. As a frequent business traveler and a Hilton diamond member, I expected better. Only after reporting his abrasive behavior to the Hilton diamond desk was I able to get the penalty waived. This location gives the Hilton brand a bad name.

This is certainly better than the Indigo Hotel, but it has some problems like they all do. I've stayed in one before when I couldn't get in anyplace else, but this location has such a weak internet that when you go to the desk to complain the very nice girl says, "Oh, sir, you might like to try our upgraded internet service for only $5.00 more." This isn't quite as bad as the security deposit of $50.00 that they charge at the Indigo, but it's in the same rip off/insult catagory. All of these mid range chain looking places suffer from BAD DECERATOITIS, ugggg!!!
However, when you get past the tiny, scratchy towels at the tiny pool, you will find a perfectly nice west coast style staff. They do their best, but they can't get past Hilton's dismal cheapskate policies.
When I called the next day to inquire about a bag I left in the closet they were clueless; and so is Hilton.

Excellent for everything you get for the price. Hotel is newer or renovated. Not sure on that end. Front desk people are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. They have little signs on the front desk that say what restaurants are open during Thanksgiving, they have tickets for the sand festival, & also a listing off christmas events. That's so helpful.
Lobby and dining area are decorated very nice with bright modern touches and open.
Breakfast included everything including warm breakfast - sausage, eggs, potatoes, waffles, pastries, cereal, tropical fruits, fresh oatmeal and drinks - coffee, tea, hot cocoa, juices.
Bedrooms are clean, and decorated also w matching modern furniture. Beds are comfy. Pillows are a but small, but just ask for more. Bathroom is clean with nice big sized sink and counter.
Pet friendly with no pet fee, two pet garbage with poop bags and nice walking area in back.
Hotel is convenient to Sanibel and Captiva, as well as Fort Myers Beach. Less than an hour drive to Naples. Hour to Marco Island (I think).
We will definitely be back here and we are happy to have found our new go to place in this area. With the quality and service received here for the price, this is 5 stars.

Great place to stay one night. We recently used hilton reward points that helped out with our visit. This hotel was very comfortable and quiet to stay in. We had enough towels and blankets. we got a king with a sofa bed room. Had a fridge and microwave. No complaints on bathroom.
Very upgraded hotel when walk thru the door. Has convenience of computers and free wifi for use, as well as personal toiletries if you happen to forget anything.
We enjoyed the breakfast with waffles, eggs and sausage. They also had juice, milk and coffee. Pretty much a little bit of everything for everyone. They also had oatmeal, yogurt and fruit.
I wish we could have stayed more than 1 night to enjoy the pool and fitness center. Hope to come back.
