It's a typical HGI with all the trappings you've come to expect from this somewhat upscale chain. The breakfast (if you get if for free) is quite nice and if you have to pay for it it's probably just a little bit of a rip off.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and you are located next to some sorta mall called the Town Center (I think) which makes for a pleasant stay if you're there for any amount of time, you could probably walk there in about 10 minutes and there is a plethora of options.

One thing that always endears me towards the Garden Inns is there amazing beds, these things are like sleeping on a little slice of perfectly firm (or soft, if you're into that shit) heaven.

Stayed here with my family while doing some business in the Fort Myers area and it was a nice experience.  The room was clean, staff very accommodating, and the location is great as well.  They provided a pack and play for my daughter upon request which was nice.  The only complaint would be the way the beds are designed and the pillows.  There is a huge gap between the headboards and mattress.  They had down pillows, and we constantly had to keep pulling them out of the gap because they would fall through.  Other than that everything else was excellent :)  We may or may not stay here again because of the bed situation.

No, it's not the Ritz Carlton.  It is: clean, convenient to FGCU, an incredible value that includes Wifi, parking, breakfast (with our package), gym, pool, hot tub.  We got a junior suite w breakfast that had 2 tv's, 2 queen beds, a pull out sofa, 24 hour pantry and very pleasant employees.  I was expecting a mediocre experience.  Our family loved it. Again, this is not fancy, but we had a fantastic experience.  Heading down for breakfast that includes make your own waffles, eggs, bacon, coffee, bagels, etc.  the best value hands down!

Great location close to the airport.
My from was good but the AC unit was not cycling correctly.
Room was so humid and damp I felt like I was more outside in Florida than in.

I would stay here again, but he Homewood is right next door.

Well needless to say I have had some not so great and somewhat stressful hotel experiences in the Ft Myers/Naples area. This Hilton Garden stay was likely one of the most pleasant hotel stays I've had and simply because the staff was beyond friendly and accommodating.

Firstly, Kathryn at the desk was more than helpful and exceptionally professional. Starting with my trying to check in through email verification whilst I was on an airplane. During my stay she continuously went above and beyond accommodating and in my opinion was management material. In addition, Tayava was wonderful also. She extended our check out time from noon until 3 without charge and even assured me that I could take advantage of their available amenities, pool, restaurant, airport shuttle etc., for the remainder of the day. She also offered to hold my luggage for me. Being that my flight did not leave until 8:55pm and I had not rented a car this was a serious weight off of our shoulders for the day.

The hotel rooms are spot-less and I took some gorgeous pictures of the sunset and the beautiful trees we had as a view. Its certainly not ocean-front (but there is a little swamp like thing.) The area is marked as a Nature Preserve and the trees were beautiful (although I am admittedly what you would call a "tree-hugger" I think anybody would appreciate this setting.) Olga Olivia in House Keeping was a sweetheart and clearly a very hard and dedicated worker who deserves to be recognized for that.

We ordered room service several times and the Ceasar Salad was probably on the top of my list of best salads I've ever had. They have complimentary cookies coffee and teas all day which seemed nice. Airport departure and arrivals listings on the wall of tvs along with sports, news, etc. All in all a reasonable place to stay for the service we got here. Would happily return. ALL photographs attached are my own.

Pretty average hotel, weird airport shuttle service.

My company tried out this hotel since it's pretty close to our offices and we thought we'd be able to save on rental cars. Two of us went down first.

Our plane landed at 1pm and we promptly called the hotel to get the shuttle and were told it was on its way and to wait by gate 5. 20 minutes later, we called to see if they were really going to show up. 40 minutes after that, it finally arrived. An hour to get a shuttle for a hotel that is 7 minutes from the airport.

The next day we had another coworker coming down. We warned her in advance about the shuttle. She didn't believe it, but had the EXACT same experience.

For our return trip, informed as we were about how unreliable the shuttle is, we wisely asked to get the shuttle way before our flight so we had some buffer in case the shuttle was late. Good thing we did!!

We reserved the shuttle at 2:30pm. At 2:29 we were dropped off in the parking lot by a friend, only to see the shuttle departing. We stood there for a minute watching it drive away, thinking it must be coming back. It never did. I went in to talk to the front desk and her response was "It's a little after 2:30". Yes, obviously it is because we were standing outside at 2:30, watching your driver leave us behind. So picking people up from the airport, which should be a priority, obviously isn't, but the shuttle TO the airport operates with maniacal precision? How does that work?

We ended up waiting another 25 minutes for the shuttle to return from the airport, which is 7 minutes away. Strangely enough, while we were waiting, we saw the Homewood Suites shuttle next door drive by several times (?). The driver mentioned something about having to always take pilots on time...which is understandable, but leaving early means you did NOT leave on time.

I had no other problems with the hotel otherwise, but I'll be taking my business to the Homewood Suites in the future.

Cookies at the front desk, a jacuzzi in my 1-bedroom king suite and mini-fridge...I'll say, this was a nice place to stay for business in Fort Meyers, Florida!

The staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean.  There's a grill/restaurant in the hotel, but I didn't dine there...and there's a decently equipped gym...no complaints!

My requirements for a good stay is a king bed, non-smoking room, with a mini-fridge and a gym on-site. This places passes...and of course clean!  The jacuzzi was a major plus!

I've stayed twice already for business, and will gladly return on my next trip to Ft. Myers!

First off - things happen. As I checked, the front desk girl (I think her name was Kelly) we found out together that the elevator just broke. Not that she was smiling or friendly in the first place but whole demeanor changed. She was very unpleasant, rude and unfriendly. The other girl (Lena? Tall Russian girl) had to compensate for the other girls rudeness. Stone faced, she checked me into the 6th floor, Lena offered to hep me with the bags and gave me a breakfast coupon. Later- when I walked down 6 flights to get dinner - "she" (Kelly?) was there - I asked any news on the elevator? She was curt, never looked up. I think she was the manager too. She did not do well under pressure and needs to go find a job - not dealing with the public. Too much hotel competition around there for bad attitudes at the front desk. Really Hilton?? The one star is purely for Lena.

***This Hilton Garden Inn is very similar to Courtyard by Marriott--comfortable, clean, nice pluses like free Wi-Fi and free parking, and a reasonable room rate; this Hilton Garden Inn is a good option for a short stay, but it does not seem like there is much in the immediate area if you are planning to vacation in Fort Myers***

Hilton Garden Inn is Hilton's version of Courtyard by Marriott.  Like Courtyard, Hilton Garden Inn hotels seem to be focused on providing simple and comfortable hotels at reasonable room rates without the frills of a full-service hotel.  This Hilton Garden Inn is located in Fort Myers, but it is not that close to the beach.  The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms feel spacious.  Instead of a bathtub like most Courtyards, this Hilton Garden Inn features a glass shower--not a sleek, contemporary one though; the glass shower is more like an apartment shower.

The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi and the front desk was very friendly.  The lobby is not that contemporary, but it is comfortable.  The lobby opens into the restaurant that offers a reasonably priced breakfast buffet.  The breakfast buffet showcases lots of hot options including scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage, surprisingly crispy, chewy and meaty bacon, and oatmeal.  There was also a make-your-own waffle bar.

There were a lot of cold options too like individual boxes of cereal, yogurt, fruit, breakfast breads, and even Pop Tarts.  The breakfast buffet also allows you to order items from a menu including omelets, French toast and pancakes.  I had their Southwestern omelet and it was big and good.  It had nice heat from jalapenos as well as a side of salsa.

As mentioned, service was friendly at the front desk (personable service in the restaurant too).

    Room rates were reasonable.

Hilton Garden Inn is very similar to Courtyard by Marriott and it is a satisfying choice for a reasonably priced stay in this area.  With that being said, there is not much in the immediate area so this hotel might not be the best option for a long vacation stay in Fort Myers.

This Hilton Garden Inn offers complimentary self parking and it is easy finding an open space.

It's almost the same as every other Hilton Garden Inn except when you see Godsmack's crew tour bus along with 2 other bands sitting in the parking lot!  I tend to stay at Hilton brand hotels when I travel either for work or pleasure.  Buddy and I picked this one due to the proximity of JetBlue stadium.  We knew after hitting the Fort Rock Festival it'd be easiest just to crash some place close rather than either drive home to Miami or look for something else.

We arrive...EARLY around 11am.  The hotel staff working the desk the day of the 25th of April (forgot their names) were super awesome.  I kind of threw the puppy dog eyes on and asked if they had our room available yet.  The answer was "no"...."but...we can put you in a room one floor below where you originally wanted".  PERFECT!  Get to the room a crash for a few.

Honestly, if you've seen a HGI, you've seen them all.  It was spotless, air was nice and chilly on one of the hottest April days on record.  Got my Gold status freebies.  Then we realized -- we're going to a concert and incidentally there were 3 tour buses outside.  We went to get our bags and struck up conversations with one of the guys outside.  Sure enough, road crew for Godsmack.  While it didn't yield anything cool like a chance to meet anyone, it was interesting that if you do decide to stay here, and there is a concert or even Red Sox spring training, you just may run into someone famous.

The area surrounding the hotel is super.  There's some decent restaurants in the vicinity and it's really close to I-75 which will take you either north to Tampa or south to Miami.  I'm certain if we would've gotten to the hotel the day prior, we just may have run into some folks playing at the festival.  We didn't want to be the creepy people asking about the buses but there were 2 other buses in the parking lot as well.

Breakfast was solid too!  Biscuits and REAL gravy with chunks of sausage tossed in -- always a winner.

I'm already planning next years Fort Rock Fest trip and this will be the hotel I stay at!
