One of the old ghetto motels with a big name thrown up on it.  Lacks security, room not terribly clean, and linens worn.  Stay elsewhere unless you are a single guy!

La Quinta's are mostly motor inns, as is this one.

Reception/Desk clerks are helpful and friendly.

Continental breakfast is served in a small area across from the front desk and consists of a half dozen tables. Nothing fancy, but everything is clean. Usual breakfast fare of fruits, cereals, danish, bread, coffee, tea, juices. For a quick start up meal one day, my wife and had no problem with it. For a real breakfast (or lunch or dinner for that matter) there is a Mel's Diner right next door, 50 feet away.

Parking is fine. There is a outdoor in-ground pool which seemed heated although I cannot confirm that. But it was clean and private.

The room was also very clean. Bathroom was small, but that was made up for by a larger sink and 'make up' area. We also had Cable TV, unsecured wireless internet (no password needed), refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave. Rate was $65 a night.

Overall... clean, area seemed safe, we had no problems, and it served our purpose. You certainly can spend more money elsewhere, but there is really nothing wrong with this La Quinta if all you need is a roof over your head and a good point of departure for your activities.

I would stay here again.

We needed a place to flop before making our way down to the Keys.  We didn't want to spend a lot of money.  I've found that La Quinta, generally fits the bill.  And I was not disappointed.  First of all, the rate was more than acceptable.  I booked on-line and this particular property was located near some other places that we had planned on visiting.  There are restaurants, shopping, etc., all within convenient distances.  The room was clean and had all the appropriate accoutrements.  The television was nice and there was a nice variety of channels to choose from.  This isn't the Intercontinental Hotel, so people expecting that are the typical unreasonable whiners who want something for nothing.  In the case of La Quinta, I have experienced that they do offer a decent value for the money.  We stayed here our first night and our last night in Ft. Myers.  The first night was uneventful and totally fulfilled our needs.  The last night, we had a herd of 20-somethings who were shacked up in various rooms surrounding us.  People were sitting on the stairs smoking and drinking...sorry but it looked like some of the folks may have been prostitutes...not sure if she was but the whole situation looked suspicious...like a "gang" had camped out for the night...young men kept running in and out of the rooms the first part of the evening and they were lighting cigarettes in the car and then running back to their rooms.  I didn't care for that "seedy" type of atmosphere.  You don't sit on stairs smoking and posing in negligees.  I don't blame it on La Quinta.  I didn't go complain.  We just blew it off.  Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens from time-to-time at properties like this.  If you get enough people together...sure, 5 people can afford to hang out and do whatever they're doing in one of these rooms.  However, La Quinta is a value in my book and I will use them again in the future.  I also need to mention that, on our last day, our plane didn't take off until 7pm and the desk clerk let me have the room for 1/2 the rate so we could stay after the noon check out time until 5pm.  That was a convenience, I truly appreciated.

We decided that we needed just a bed to sleep in, seeing that we would be outside most of our vacation. Under $100 a night, the La Quinta is a great place! The beds are comfy, rooms are perfect for up to 3 or 4 people! The pool is private & has a great patio to lay out on. Although the rooms are all exterior access, the neighbourhood is quite and you sleep soundly through the night. The breakfast is filling! Eat the muffins, they're the best. On top of that, all within a 5 minute walk you have a nice little ice cream shop, fabulous places to eat, and if you forgot anything at home, a dollar store as well! Great location, great staff, and a great stay!

Sooo, three girlfriends and I came down to Ft. Myers for MSU's spring break, and although we knew we were getting what we paid for, it was a hilarious disaster.

First, we booked a room with two queen sized beds 3-MONTHS in advance, for a non-smoking room. We ended up being given a smoking room, which smelled like no room I have ever smelled before; it was musty, moist, and overall just danky and gross. EVERYTHING felt wet and dirty and the humidity wasn't even above 50%. We came back to Michigan having to explain to our mothers why we smelled like garbage.

Second, you would think that there would be a fan/vent combo in any bathroom, right? Wrong! I was first to grab a shower in the stained, rusty, and cramped shower space, and beforehand I reached up to the ceiling "fan" vent thing thinking that because the light switches were all for lights that one must have to manually turn the fan on. I turned the little grooved dial-looking thing in the middle of the "fan" vent and the whole thing fell on my head in a shower of rust and dust.
Of course I screamed bloody murder in fright because silly me wasn't expecting that to happen, and my friends burst into the bathroom to see me half naked and standing on the toilet (in order to reach the fan) covered in reddish rust flakes and screaming. LOL

Third, our toilet stopped working right after one of us went #2 in it and so our room became even more rank, we apologized profusely to the really nice maintenance guy that had to unclog it.

That all being said, the staff were all awesome and very nice! They sprayed our room several times, apologized for the bad things, and comp'd us a free night. Also the breakfasts were yummy. All in all, we didn't die or contract any horrible diseases, so if you're tight on cash like us college students and willing to deal with silly little ordeals, then this is the place for you!

We probably won't be returning any time soon, but it was an adventure!

Will never stay here or at any La Quinta ever AGAIN!  Any national hotel chain/brand that puts its name on a property like this should be disappointed with themselves.

This is the worst hotel I've been to...EVER!  Room smelled like smoke, bathtub has scratches dents and cigarette burns, bed mattress sank in the middle, all areas were only lightly surface cleaned EWWW!!!

We considered leaving as soon as we walked in the room but we were exhausted from a very long day and only planned to stay for one night so I just manned up, but it definitely not a place for self-respecting couples and families.  Prior to the visit, I definitely had to calibrate my expectations for even attempting to stay at La Quinta, but even a person with the lowest standards would be grossed out!

Find somewhere else to stay!  This place isn't worth free!

Very clean and better than what I expected. You get what you pay for, which is a clean room and a continental breakfast. Everyone is very friendly and I felt safe. I am impressed by how easily you can access stores, restaurants, etc. They are within walking distance. Mel's Diner is right next door and also has friendly service and pretty good food. Impressed, especially after reading others' reviews.
