Wow, what an awesome residence inn!! Stayed here a few months ago. Its brand new and has excellent rooms and amenities. The breakfast buffet is awesome and the decor is very trendy. I was shocked about how great this place really was. I highly recommend!

Our group rate was $89 a night and for that we got a suite with a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 42" cabinets and marble counter tops, a living room with a pull out chaise and a 37" LCD, a beautifully appointed bedroom with two extremely comfortable queen beds and an adequate bathroom.

Palatable free breakfast, nice pool area (although the H2O was literally 95 degrees) basketball an tennis courts and a great location on Summerlin just a stone's throw to the Sanibel bridge.

What a deal, I was actually shocked at how nice it was.

No hotel bar, and I needed one.

It's a Residence Inn, what's to say?

The rooms are clean, large, and spacious. Great for families and pet lovers. This particular Residence Inn  is in a shopping center with a publix. Across the street is the Tanger Outlet Mall great for any shoppers. Also, it is only a few miles away from the Sanibel Causeway. Standard to Residence Inns, this hotel includes a market (which is a small shop that carries basic food and toiletries) and free wifi. The breakfast is good with waffles and more. There is a large business center, lobby, and fitness center. Along with Guest Laundry and a Sport Court.

I stayed here with my parents and sister for spring break. The room was clean and comfortable-- the beds were soft, bathrooms big enough for two people each, and the kitchen was fully equipped and great for our healthy lifestyle. Complimentary breakfast is offered, but we only had it once as we do not usually eat that kind of food for breakfast. The pool is nice enough. This hotel is not on the beach. If going to the beach quickly is your thing, then this hotel might not be for you. We drove to a nice area of the beach every time we went (about four times). I think it was about a twenty minute ride, but it was okay. I would have to say, however, that one of the nicest things about this hotel is the fact that they have an "evening social". It's funny because nobody really socializes... it should be called "free dinner" because that's what it really is. It's usually on Mondays through Wednesdays. The food is served in the breakfast area. When I went, we arrived in time for soup, salad, and dessert on Tuesday and BBQ on Wednesday. Not the healthiest, but yummy and free. I didn't check out the gym, but I would assume that it is pretty average. Overall, a nice hotel. If I was ever to go to Fort Myers again, I wouldn't stay here once more. I like to try out new places, but I recommend this hotel to families (or any people) that want a great hotel that is much cheaper than oceanfront ones. By the way, Publix and the Tanger Outlets are right next to this hotel...

Stayed here about 4-5 times over the years. Most recently, just a week ago.  Location is great - down the street from the Sanibel bridge, and around the corner from Bunche Beach. Hotel guests are mainly retires, youth sports teams and families.  Generally, an acceptable hotel. Beds were comfortable, room was sizable, quiet and clean, and free breakfast.

Didn't rate as 5-stars, as the quality has been progressively decreasing with each stay. The friendly, and helpful staff have been replaced by what appear to be less experienced and committed personnel. As an example, when I asked at the front desk for family activity recommendations, I was directed to the display of promotional advertisements and coupon booklets. The pool had trash in the bottom, and the water in the hot tub was green.

Because of the desirable location, room availability seems to be low, and rates are higher than other similar hotels.

Update 4/10/15
Lost another star. The hotel is starting to show its age, and lack of maintenance. Stayed here for four nights, and initially couldn't figure out why the kids' socks were so dirty. By wiping a washcloth on the floor, it was very obvious that the hard floors in kitchen and bathroom aren't routinely cleaned. In addition, the carpeting had huge patches of brown, so this hasn't been shampooed in sometime. Much of the furniture in our room was torn and several lights didn't work.

Brought this to the attention of the desk staff, and the woman said that she'd credit my Marriott Rewards account with some points for the inconvenience. Just saw my statement, and I was credited 1000 points - value of about $5.

Location is still great, and you can get a nice sized suite, but bring your slippers and a can of Lysol!

You DON'T have to leave your pets behind! Bring them on vacation with you!! We took our 2 small dogs and everything went perfect. $100 pet fee but (whether you bring 1 or 2 pets) so worth it!
Ran into so many people that weekend at the hotel and the beaches who had no clue they could bring their beloved pets. Do yourself a favor and & bring them!
As for the hotel itself, great hot breakfast, pool was much better than I thought (based on the website photos), and it's a residence inn so the "apartments" were comfy and had all the amenities you need. Full fridge, small stove, dishes, living room, balcony, seperate bedroom & bath.
Staff was very nice and they lend you beach towels, beach chairs & you can rent bikes too.
Loved our stay here!

We have stayed at this property many times and for the most part the hotel is great. The location is convenient , rooms are spacious.
Chelsea at the front desk is exceptional. Always has a smile and checks you in quickly.
We had such a terrible experience last time that we wouldn't even stay there. The manager was rude and lied to us repeatedly. We had called the morning of our reservation to see when they thought our room would be ready, they said around 2:00. Which was perfectly fine since check-in wasn't until 4:00. We dropped our bags off and came back at 1:30 and was told it would be about 45min, so we hung around the hotel. After 45 min they told us it would be an hour more. Again we waited only to be told after another hour that it would be after 4. Now we wasted part of a good day waiting. Had they told us it would be after 4, we would have spent our day doing something. The desk manager was very rude and told us a big group requested late check out and that's why we couldn't check in. I asked for our room to be cancelled as I don't like to be lied to repeatedly. She told me there was 24hr cancellation and would not budge on it. I could not stay there after being treated so poorly, so we left anyway. They still charged us for the room.

Right from the get go customer service was top notch and super accommodating. The room was nice. I wish our stay was longer so we could've taken advantage of the kitchenette more. The pool and the outdoor patio area are nice. Its located in a great central location for many adventures in the area. The breakfast is pretty awesome and should satisfy anyone's needs.

This Residence Inn is one of the best I've stayed anywhere. Traveling 200+ days annually, some places stand out as favorites where I continue to appreciate the accommodations and service. Chelsea at the front desk has made many suggestions and ALL have worked out beautifully! She knows my name and we are happy to see each other. When I check in, she knows my room preference and makes t happen. Chelsea makes this already excellent property a joy to come back to time and again, thanks Chelsea! This is a newer property and set up right, this is more like a luxury apartment than hotel room.

I am surprised that I liked this hotel as much as I did. I couldnt get a reservation for the last night of my trip at the Marriott Resort so I booked a room here. I had no prior experience with a Residence Inn and thought it would be entirely different than what it was.

The only room available was a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen and living room so yes, it was huge for the two of us and quite pricey (almost $300) for a hotel that wasnt a resort but its location, location, location I guess.  The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The front desk staff was always nice and the manager came around during the social (more on this later) to introduce herself.

There was a 'social' that night (I think they are Mon, Tues. and Wednesdays) which consisted of beer (pitchers of Bud-yuck), and 2 types of wine (in a pitcher) as well as pound cake and some fruit. The room rate included a hot breakfast (eggs, waffles and many items not replenished so I cant comment on those) which was just ok but enough to tide me over. The breakfast and 'social' were packed so prepare for crowds.

There is a bar/restaurant (Tails and Ale, I think) across the parking lot that has live music and excellent BBQ chicken wings in case you need a late night (HUGE) snack. (I brought some back to the room and really enjoyed them...had to point that out).

Really enjoyed our stay at Residence Inn Ft. Myers/Sanibel! Each room is set up as a suite which makes for a really comfortable experience, no matter how long your stay. Great location, near Ft. Myers Beach and shopping outlet stores.

Take some time to enjoy the pool and Jacuzzi. Breakfast exceeds the general offering of breakfast and helps set your day up for the next adventure. Plenty of options for different dietary needs.

Overall a 5 star experience. Would highly recommend.
