I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding quality of features and amenities within my room. It far surpassed my expectations for a hotel with a three star rating. Furthermore, it was better than many four star hotels that I have frequented across the country. I would definitely stay at a Residence Inn again, especially if traveling with family. This trip was strictly for business purposes. The pictures in this review should they you all that you need to know!

The best part about this hotel is the employees! Amy at the front desk takes an interest in all of the guests and the housekeepers are on point! The hotel seems a bit outdated and not as nice as the residence inn's I've stayed in prior. Make sure you have a car if staying here.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a marriott property. I do nor recommend staying here. It is dirty, the carpets are worn and the elevator carpet need to be replaced or at least vacuumed. And it was pricey.
My first room smelled of dead fish. They did move me to another room but that meant another ride in the dirty elevator.
Keep driving and find a different hotel.

Stayed here on our recent trip. I've stayed at other residence inns in other states and I'm appalled at the state of this one.
Internet (wired or wireless) didnt work most of the time and I had to spend my quality vacation time on the phone with their helpdesk to get them to fix the routers.
Fire alarms went off once a day. Most of the time it was due to the hotels long term residence.
AC went out in our room, requiring us to switch rooms. Meaning we had to completly pack up everything including our fridge. We didnt get a free upgrade or a comp of any kind on our rate.
Cable TV went out in all rooms.
Maid service started around 7am and they were quite loud in the mornings.
I think next time I vacation here I'm going to look somewhere else.

I am a Marriott snob, I try to only stay at Marriotts, unfortunately this was not a great hotel.
The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Spacious rooms, not the biggest for a Residence Inn, but decent size.
A/C worked well, rooms cooler down quickly.
The breakfast was good both mornings, with the exception of the juices.
Location! Ugh, right next to a car dealership that leave their lights on all night, even with the room darkening curtains, the light comes through. There are train tracks close by, and it is extremely load. The 7-11 right next door has many shady characters hanging around it.
The room smelled very musty, my allergies were giving me a hard time whenever i was in the room. The blankets for the pull out bed were old and rough.
The maids come very early.
It is a pet friendly hotel which I love, but they don't do anything about barking dogs. The room across from us had a yappy dog that barked 24/7, even after calls to the front desk.
The pool is tiny and the view while you are in the pool is cars in the parking lot.
I was not impressed at all.

We have high standards for Marriott properties considering we have elite status. My husband is already at 90+ nights this year. That said, the front desk staff wasn't super helpful or polite. The breakfast was weak and they didn't have a corkscrew in the room or a spare corkscrew so they had to send someone up to wait for us to open the wine and take it back downstairs. The beds and pillows were lumpy. Everything else was fine. Two stars.

I simply can't say enough nice things about he staff at the Residence Inn in Ft. Myers FL.
My wife and I came to Ft. Myers to adopt a baby.
Because of the way interstate adoption laws work, we had to stay in Ft. Myers until both Florida and California processed our paperwork and give us the OK to fly back to Los Angeles.
That meant that we were stuck in a hotel room with an infant son for an indeterminate length of time. (it ended up being about two weeks)
Naturally, we were stressed and sleep deprived but the entire staff worked together to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
I have stayed at many high end hotels around the world but I have never experienced as much care and consideration as we got at the Residence Inn in Ft. Myers.
Margarite the Manager bent over backwards for us. Rosa (who runs the kitchen) made sure we had fresh bananas at breakfast. Jessica, Jennifer and Amy delivered on every one of our little requests from a DVD player to new batteries for our night light.
They even got together and bought us a beautiful gift basket full of baby clothes and accessories.
This was seriously above and beyond the call of duty.
I highly recommend this hotel and this staff (particularly if you are adopting a baby)
