My husband and I had the opportunity to stay here because we'd been left high and dry by one of the worst airlines we've ever flown. It seems the only thing Spirit Air did right today was hand us a piece of paper which led us here. The hotel desk staff was very pleasant and helpful to a couple of stranded travelers who hadn't slept all night and were re-booked for 24 hours later. The shuttle bus driver was extremely kind and sympathetic even though we got the sense that Spirit does this to many passengers. She showed us her favorite places that we might walk to for food and various other items we may need as we approached the hotel. Then she personally handed us toothbrushes, toothpaste, a razor, shampoo, and deodorant as the very busy lady at the desk very efficiently checked us in. Our room had quite a few amenities such as a fridge, microwave, small coffee maker, blow dryer, and a flat-screen TV. There was even a pool but our bathing suits had made it to our destination though we had not. The room was fairly clean but the beds were very comfy and there were lots of pillows. The shuttle service is complimentary and so is the basic breakfast buffet that is available from 6-10 AM. Since we will never be a customer of Spirit again we will probably not have an occasion to stay here again. We will recommend it to anyone seeking good accommodation at a fair price. The room was 3 stars but the kind and efficient staff make it 4 stars in our book.

Worked well for us...clean room, internet, airport shuttle and a breakfast from 630-10 with a lot of items. Staff was helpful and they have a pool and fitness room we didn't use. $57 on priceline.

This is a five-star choice - literally, as good as it gets. It's actually a bit over the top. By far, the best Days Inn I've ever been in. I really didn't believe it was a Days Inn.
It started with a super friendly shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. The guy was so nice, he actually took me to a CVS nearby to get some things I forgot. He, and the front desk staff, were very accommodating and friendly - a simple thing, but really five-star service.
The rooms are HUGE. And clean. Great cable package. Free breakfast. Beautiful lobby. Excellent experience. All good things to say.
Wish I could have stayed longer!

I had another overnighter plus an entire day in Fort Lauderdale, (early October, Saturday night/all day Sunday) and I needed a cheap, clean, comfortable place to stay that also included a shuttle ride to and from the airport. My search began two days before my arrival and my choice fell on Expedia again, as this hotel appeared to be the cheapest out of all the other hotels, but most importantly, it had an airport shuttle. I was hesitant at first since my past experiences with Days Inn hotels in multiple cities weren't the greatest but the price lured me in. And it turned out to be a pretty good choice!
- Included a complimentary airport pick-up/drop-off (Franko, the driver, was super nice!)
- Included WiFi and breakfast (great selection too)
- There's a laundry room!
- There's a business center with printing capabilities
- Super friendly service
- Clean and comfortable bed and pillows
- Fridge in the room!
- Denny's right next door
- Not really within walking distance to shopping centers and other restaurants; closest restaurant other than Denny's was about a mile away and K-Mart was probably close to 2 miles away).
- I couldn't do a late check-out on Sunday because they were really busy
Overall, the service and accommodations were great but location wasn't as perfect if you don't have a car since most stores and restaurants were at least a mile or two away. I wasn't able to do a late check out the following day but they did allow me to store my luggage in a secure room until my departure at 8pm that night. In addition, I was able to leave a package at the front desk for USPS pick-up on Monday, which was extremely convenient.

A great hotel to stay in, my usual choice when I just want to get away with my BF, I've stayed here a few times, each is a very nice experience. The rooms are clean and cozy, cutely decorated.
There is free breakfast which is very nice, they have a decent amount of options too.
I noticed one night when we checked in late that they also have a sort of rolling bar.
It's right off the highway, there's a few places to snack on right by (McDonalds and Dennys which I think are both 24 hours) The only thing is it's not really by too much, so I wouldn't so much suggest it as a tourist spot but it is a nice hotel, and a good price. (Unlike the others around more eventful things which will cost you 250-300$ a night on the low end)
Will surely stay here many times again.

I've been standing in the lobby for more than half an hour watching Tony talk on the phone instead of helping anyone get a room. I understand he's all alone hete but customers in front of you should be helped before the ones on the phone.
Don't come here. If you see Tony, walk across the street to Holiday Inn.

Absolutely terrible! The wallpaper is falling off the wall, there is mold in the rooms, and there was a full size roach crawling in my bed. When we demanded a refund the front desk staff refused to get me a manager until the following morning. For $150 a night I shouldn't have to argue for a mother effing refund. We were able to via Expedia, but the front desk staff was horrendous! Pay more and save yourself the drama with those disgusting people.

Just terrible. So terrible. Where to begin...OH let's start with the fact that they can get away with it because they are close to Ft. Lauderdale airport. So let's hear about the Shuttle ride ... hmmm the driver had us waiting for AN HOUR AND A HALF! Why you ask? Oh, he decided to pick up the wrong customer and take them to a DIFFERENT DAYS INN than where they were staying. You see, DAYS INN has this stupid system that has its own shuttles for EACH individual Days Inn. They are not linked, they do not cycle so they don't go to the 10 different DAYS INN in the area. Strike 1.
So when we get to the hotel they do NOTHING for us to give us a break for the piss poor shuttle service because we went through Hotels.com . THAT SHOULDN'T MATTER. Give me a discount, a free night, SOMETHING. They did nothing. Strike 2.
Next, the breakfast, was basic, staid, and the SAME. Every day. No variety, no good food, just the basics, no more no less. The pool was LEAKING. The stupid repair guy was fixing it, while I was swimming in it! Do you know how awful it is to have some guy in scuba gear swimming at the bottom of the pool while you are trying to have a refreshing afternoon. Strike 3.
So there is only one person there at the front desk at nights -- they are totally overwhelmed. So no talking to the manager if you get there after 5pm. It's like they don't even care about their personnel let alone the customers. So we ask for a rollerbed, it doesn't come until the 2nd night -- they forget to get it for us. When we go back the next morning to get one, they say they don't have one! We have to RAISE HELL just to get what we NEED. Wow. What a horrible organization. Strike 4.
Lastly, you had to call the shuttle again to get it to go back to the airport. No recurring schedule, no pick up times. You have to remember in order to get back to Ft. Lauderdale airport or you can kiss that plane ride goodbye! So incompetent. Strike 5.
TL;DR. Just don't go to this hotel chain. AVOID DAYS INN PERIOD. Any other hotel chain is better; ANY OTHER CHAIN. So very bad for the reasons mentioned above: Late shuttles, bad service, bad food, no late night help, you have to get the shuttle back to the airport -- don't rely on them. BAD TO THE BONE.
WORD TO THE WISE: The free wifi code changes every week and they won't tell you. Make sure to ask them for the new code every Sunday morning / Saturday night or you won't have WIFI in the morning.

Days Inn Hollywood is located in a nice convenient location really close to I-95 and a huge Hollywood sign. McDonald's and a 24-hour Denny's are right across the street from this place, though the same could be said about the nearby Holiday Inn. My family took advantage of this great location and stayed here for a night. It's just an average hotel experience, maybe a little above average. Nothing more.
The building is six stories tall and features a warm, welcoming lobby where complimentary all-you-can-eat breakfasts are served in the mornings daily from 6:30 to 10:00. The hotel also has some pretty nice services like a swimming pool on the third floor, a laundry room on the fifth floor, and a fitness center on the seventh floor. Soda machines and ice machines are available on all six floors except the fifth.
Our room was okay, but definitely a bit cramped for four people. My major concern with the room is that the sink is not in the bathroom but rather outside the bathroom on the other side of the room. Some people actually like it that way because it means that the sink isn't unavailable when someone else is locked in the bathroom, but it's just something I'm not used to.
Breakfast here was good and I ate until I was full, but it's limited strictly to vegetarian options. There is no meat of any kind here unless you count eggs, so don't expect ham, sausages, or bacon. Their cheese omelettes are pretty good and I think I ate three of them. Most of the usual breakfast items are here like toast, oranges, yogurt, butter, milk, cereal, jam, and oatmeal. The small breakfast serving area where you help yourself can get crowded with other people, but probably not to the point where it forms a line. Overall, a decent place to stay in if you're in the area.
