OK for an airport area hotel. Small pool and breakfast area.  Rooms were remodeled but they forgot to add new beds.

Staff seems nice and um... The Internet is horrible on the second floor, and there is a bit of an odor in my room. the fitness center consists of 3 pieces of equipment.

Staying here the night before a flight out. Spent the whole day at the pool waiting for the other room to be ready (we had 2). The other room wasn't ready until 5 pm (seriously Check-in is at 3 pm and the room should have absolutely been ready then).
For the first hour we got there (around 1230 pm) we were all getting clean in the room and watching TV. In that hour, 3 employees came in and then apologized realizing (again) that people were in the room.
Around 530 pm, we went back into our room from the pool to bring the bags into the other room for our guest staying in that one. It was strange because the drawers were all open and some things had been moved. None of us thought anything of it at the time. However, my little sister (whos birthday it was) had her cards and purse sitting out on the bed.
We left on the 5 am shuttle, and it was at the time she woke up, 330 am, that she realized her $150 in birthday money had been stolen. No one had a key to our room except for myself and my husband, who kept them inside my purse which was with me the entire time. We kept our room locked. I never want to accuse anyone of stealing money, but it is obvious that a staff member helped themselves to my little sisters birthday money. Disgustingly furious.

PS- I heard of every guest complain their rooms smelled like cigarettes and a guest was smoking by the pool.

We had a suite for 5. The room was small and dated. The room has 2 twin beds and a pull out bed. They claim it holds 6 people but only if the oldest is 4 years old . The pull out bed had a cushion of about 1 inch thick. The toilet was barely attached to the floor and they had 3 towels for all of us.nothing like being prepared. You get all of this for 200$ for 1 night. We complained so they credited us 30%. Forget about this place!

The rooms were basic and small, and when we visited, construction was raising a racket outside. Not the best location. But the staff is fantastic! Why? Those blessed folks called me when I left my expensive DSLR camera in my room! They called three times, since the first two calls, we were at the beach. The shuttle service guy was also very nice and sociable. Not the worst choice, since the staff is so great but also not the best place to sleep.

If you are trying to save money, I guess this is the place to go.  My sales team at work used this location for a meeting.  The service was great...but the location can use a makeover.  You had the bare essentials and the internet was not working all that well.

My company being as cheap as it is will always try to find a budget hotel to put you in.  Hampton for the most part isn't the worst chain.

The property is in an area that is a little sketchy. There is McDonalds and Taco Bell close but you don't want to walk too far.

The property is showing its age. What people overlook at this property however are the employees. I have never stayed at a hotel where everyone said hello! The gals who run the breakfast are super nice! The selection is pretty good and they always keep the options full.  Coffee is available all day which is nice.

The pool area isn't too bad. We had a few raccoons show up while we were out there.  The workout room is small but does the job.

Even though the property isn't the prettiest I would rather stay at an ok clean hotel with a great staff than at a hotel where the staff is snooty!

All around horrible experience.  The charge for two twin beds is over $400.... ridiculous.   Also, the shuttle was impossible to figure out and use.  To top it off, the staff was rude.  When asked if they had plain syrup, they snapped back and said no.  Will not ever come back here, ever!

So combine living dangerously by booking the day of with HotelTonight with everyone making the most of a long weekend and you end up here. The front desk receptionist (appropriately named) Felicia has taken 52 minutes and counting to check us in. I am writing this review while we wait. She is only helpful to certain individuals, and we are not included in this lucky bunch. She in fact went over a menu with someone for close to 10 minutes, regaling over what her favorite meals are at a restaurant named Las Vegas, while we stood there with our bags waiting to check-in.  I have fought the urge for the past 54 minutes to flip out as she gave people who came after us rooms who also booked on HotelTonight - (breathe). I can't comment on the rooms as I have yet to see one.  We will not return. Bye Felicia!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest, we looked for the hotel with the best deals so we could trade in points for two rooms.  It didn't have to be fancy, just a place to stay overnight before our cruise.

What actually happened was an amazing stay at a great property.  First and foremost, everyone on the staff that you encountered was extremely friendly.  Always a "good afternoon" or "hi" or "how are you and how is your stay".

The property is clean and well kept.  In the lobby there is refreshing fruit water to welcome you.  There is plenty around the area for almost every need.  Taco Bell happens to be two doors down and there's a K-Mart, JBs and Party City within walking distance.  There's even a cookie service at 5 p.m. in the breakfast area.

The hotel offers smoking rooms as of this posting date which was good for my parents.  The rooms we stayed in were large, one bedroom suite style.

There is only one draw back about this property and it happened to be the cycle of breakfast they were on.  As a vegan I did not have any hot options for breakfast which was very disappointing as there is usually, or should be, always potatoes or some vegetable.

All in all, we recommend staying here as access to the ports is easy and the property is really great.  Location, service, cleanliness and amenities earn a solid 4 stars - 5 if we could get the vegan thing worked out.

Inexpensive suites within 10 miles of Fort Lauderdale Airport and Port everglades cruise terminal. King bed suite had full kitchen, dining area, living room and separate bedroom. 2 flat screen tvs in the room.
