This building was previously named the Neptune Hollywood Beach Club and all of the rooms were timeshares. In November of 2013, new owner purchased the building as well as all the timeshares from their owners and made the property into a hotel, renovated the rooms and continue renovations on the property. We are pleased to say that we have received great reviews from our guests on Trip Advisor and hope that our new visitors will share their reviews on Yelp with all of you. If there were a rating of zero star . . . I would have given Neptune a zero for customer service. We first discovered Neptune while walking around the area. We walked in to check it out, and from the get go this person named Joe, seemed agitated and abrasive. We later called and gave our credit card information and requested an oceanfront room with Maggie. Upon calling back to confirm that our request was noted, Joe didn't seem to want to check. After trying to clarify, he abruptly said he was going to cancel our reservation, and hung up. I did call Neptune back to inform them that I will be writing to the Hollywood Chamber of commerce.
I want to note that besides Joe the 2 other people were helpful: Mira & Maggie.

We stayed in this hotel for one night during a road trip across Southern Florida. The staff was super friendly and VERY helpful. The pool and area surrounding it was very clean. The room we stayed in was actually a suite with a king size bedroom and bath that was separate from the living area. The kitchen area was completely stocked with anything you would need to cook and eat, with a full size refrigerator. The FREE bike rental at the front desk was very convenient and saved a good bit of money by not having to pay for bikes.

We are locals who just wanted to spend a few nights on the beach for a little staycation! Selected this hotel because of reviews on a travel site. There were a lot of much happier customers there. I was a bit surprised by the low rating on yelp.
The hotel was even better than I expected. This is not a luxury resort. It's a beachfront hotel which means the building is older. That being said, the living room furniture was new and modern. The kitchenette was recently updated (cabinets are older but they have granite countertops) and the appliances looked new. The only thing that could have used an update were the bathroomS. That's right- there were TWO bathrooms in the suite. Really nice if you have more than a couple of people staying together. We stayed in a king suite. It had a pull out sofa bed and a love seat so plenty of seating in the living room area. There was also a kitchen table with 4 chairs. The bedroom was pretty large for a regular hotel room and huge considering it was part of a suite that had a separate living space. There was plenty of storage space for those staying a while- 3 closets and 3 dressers in the suite. The kitchen comes equipped with plates, utensils, and basic pots and pans so you can prepare your own meals. There is also a grill by the pool for guests to use.
This is one of the few smaller hotels in Hollywood beach that is both ON the beach and has a pool. Many of the other "beach" hotels in the area are actually across the street or a block away. This one is directly on the broadwalk. There are lots of nice amenities. Tables throughout the property to eat outside. Lounge chairs next to the beach (next to the building- not on the sand!) to relax and people watch. They even have (at least a dozen) bikes that guests can borrow for a bike ride along the broadwalk. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance or a short drive if you have a car.
You can't go wrong with a stay at the Neptune! We will be back.

Before we arrived, I noticed there were NO elevators for the 3 story building. I called in a week before and requested a 1st floor room. Christine was Happy to accommodate us! Although our room had no ocean view, it was still on the 1st floor which means a lot for me being pregnant. We stayed in Room 104. Things I loved, location & wifi. The staff was also amazingly sweet! Mike greeted us in the office and was awesome. The value of having a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms with a toddler was priceless. The TV also had more than expected as far as kid-channels which made great for keeping my 3yr old entertained. The beach is literally across the boardwalk! Which means no hassle parking, and no real necessity for dragging out a cooler when my room was steps away. The pool was very clean. The A/C worked like a dream in the room. The boardwalk itself is lovely at all times of day with a nice ambiance and plenty of food nearby. The beach area located directly in front of the hotel isn't as crowded as 2 blocks down which was nice! Never made it to the free bikes provided by the hotel but did see them, and they are beautiful and in great condition. Overall, a great little vacation for us.
When you walk into the room, the smell of old moldy carpet smacks you. It was hard to cover even after I literally lit a candle in hopes of making it better. It needs to be ripped out asap. Our room was also located in front of the pool. There were no closing times for the pool which is awesome fun, except when its 11pm and your dead tired and you can hear the children yelling. I'm no party pooper so we just dealt with it as best we could. Our room in particular was falling apart along the walls. The windows edges seemed to have been attacked by some kind of animal or just simply falling apart at the drywall. I've read they are still remodeling but that's a one day fix that shouldn't have been overlooked. Cleaning schedules for the rooms are only Mon, Wed, & Fri. This was a complete bummer as we found ourselves constantly tracking in the sand and by the time we left on Sunday, we had basically brought in the entire beach with us. Who doesn't hate walking on dirty floors? I was basically left to sweep up as best I could with a broom I found in the closet to keep the sand castles to a minimum inside the room. There was also a huge shortage of towels by the time Saturday hit. I took all of mines to the office early Sat morning in hopes of getting new ones and somehow only had half of them returned almost 10 hours later. Since we were checking out Sunday, it wasn't worth fighting over. The pool is not directly attached to the rooms. There is a small service road/back road located half way in between the hotel. Which means, some rooms and the office are located behind the main rooms on another street. The pool is directly on the street, with cars passing & parking all day long. Not so much traffic but still a little disturbing. A waist-high fence doesn't add much privacy. I took into consideration that the management must be remodeling BUT on Saturday the pool area and the office was cluttered with boxes from some kind of shipment. It was a little messy and at some point they even started opening packages with guests around. I would consider this something best to do during the week with less guests around or even at night. The Free BBQ would've been great to use if we could've ever gotten to it! The patio area is modestly sized so the grill is pushed up near a table. If a family sat at the table, they hovered over the grill. If the grill was being used, whoever had it took forever because there was only ONE burner working on it. We eventually gave up waiting and made hotdogs on our stove top in the room instead. The place needs lots of love & remodeling to go but the staff makes up for it with their great attitudes and the location itself is a gem.

First of all, roaches! I understand bugs are bigger in Florida, but this was disgusting. Id want someone to warn me about staying here so consider this a warning.
We've stayed annually on the Hollywood Beach "Broadwalk" at one place or another for over a decade, and have frequently stayed at the Neptune (though this was the first time under the new ownership). While the Neptune has never been a four-star rental, it has been clean and consistent-- if a little dated and tacky. Never in 10 years have we seen bugs. Until...
We killed at least a dozen German cockroaches a day during our entire 12 night stay, and I just can't see ever coming back after that. I tried to find another place immediately when we opened up the kitchen cabinets and saw the roaches scurry over all our cups and plates but we had already been forced to change units once and they were fully booked, plus it was Christmas Day and the whole "Broadwalk" was occupied. I asked about moving within the Neptune or if they could put us up elsewhere and was told it was impossible. We were basically stuck (Merry Christmas!) so we figured we could wait it out until they took care of the infestation; The bugs never left.
The staff was friendly enough but that really only goes so far. While they were certainly nice, likeable people, they did a really poor job making our stay there a pleasant experience. Our room wasn't ready even though we'd called and been assured we could check in a few hours early. We had to change units the first night due to an unexplained mechanical problem in the one we'd reserved (we realize now it must have been the roaches). My sister, who had reserved an ocean front unit was moved to one facing the parking lot. There were Christmas lights plugged in in our unit, running out our window (which didn't close properly because of this) and down the staircase, and the cord of lights shocked anyone foolish enough to use the banister. The wifi didn't work. The shower didn't drain. Most windows didn't open. The staff gave our parking spot to someone else without telling us, and that guest angrily banged on our door and told us to move our car at 11:00 at night. None of the blinds closed properly. There were no paper towels, no laundry or dish detergent, no coffee (all offered under the previous owners).
The staff threw a loud party for the staff and guests on New Year's Eve that lasted until after 1am. They gave us 24 hours notice of the party, which isn't super helpful when you have a 6 month old and a 3 year old and you may not want to stay just a few feet from the DJ booth (which they'd falsely promised would be far away, near the pool). The children in my family managed to sleep through it, but I felt bad for the other guests we saw who were obviously annoyed and exhausted the next day. The partygoers left a big mess that wasn't cleaned up for a few days-- in fact there was Silly String hanging from the steps still when we checked out. The crowd of guests were mostly families are retirees so an incredibly loud DJ playing 90s euro electronica late at night was just an odd choice.
We were told we could go to the office and ask for anything but often it would be empty and we'd have to call instead. When we called twice and asked for new towels, both times they took our old towels and didn't bring new ones until we called again to remind them. We were told housekeeping was three days a week but our unit was only partially cleaned once in the 12 days we stayed, and that did not include changing the sheets.
Even with all those problems, I wouldn't have complained or cared at all were it not for the roaches. When you are staying on the beach, a few missing towels and broken blinds are irrelevant! You mostly come inside to eat and sleep. The roaches made that really unpleasant. The staff did as close to nothing as possible about the roaches, calling an exterminator to come 6 days after we arrived (despite assuring me they'd have someone spray right away). They claimed it took so long due to the holiday but that struck me as bizarre. Roaches are an emergency- you get someone there that day no matter what it costs. The exterminator was in our unit for less than fifteen minutes. Whatever he did, the roaches didn't take the hint and remained vibrant and horrifying until our checkout.
Again, the new staff (and the housekeepers who I remember from the old ownership) are all very nice. Our flight home was cancelled due to severe weather, and to make up for the roach problem they offered us a few nights for free while we tried to rebook. While that was nice, there were still roaches everywhere so we drove hours out of our way to stay somewhere bug free until our flight. That slight compensation (and the perfect location and clean pool) is why they get two and not one star.
It's a bummer because you can't beat the location and the price is decent. After this stay, they've lost a ten-year customer.

I came here for one night and one day with my sister niece and nephew. I was really looking forward to a beach getaway and I love Hollywood. Pros: Location, location, location. Right on the beach and close to everything on the boardwalk. Also, very Large rooms. Cons - hotel promised us a certain price for a late check out and rescinded - we needed to rush and pack and get out early which was no easy feat with two small children. There is more to the story, but I don't like leaving negative reviews - so I'll chalk it up to one bad apple in the office - That said, Yolanda was fantastic and a huge help! There are so many hotels and motels in Hollywood Beach so not sure I would be back after that disappointment. All in all, it was a decent place to stay for a night.
