    I travel more than 120 nights a yr. I will be back here. Dinner not great, but breakfast was OK and extremely comfortable  beds!
    The rooms were recently remodeled and the common areas were clean, friendly and lots of places to spread out and work.  the wifi service was terrific - sometimes wireless can be spotty, but not here.
    The staff was extremely friendly and lots of help and guidance.  I did not rent a car so i had to rely on the location and the staffs insight to find nearby restaurants.  They did a great job and were very helpful.
    The location is terrific, close to the airport and the facility was in terrific shape.  I did not use the work out facility, but i can assure any business traveler that needs to stay near the airport in JAX, you wont be disappointed .  I should also mention that i booked this through hotwwire and sometimes the people can be a little snooty at the check in about the low rate i pay, however these folks were terrific and even thanked me for choosing hotwire.

    Older property.  Dated room decor. Room had a strong mildew odor upon entering,  typical Florida stuff. Relatively clean. Airport shuttle was timely.  Check-in staff was friendly and efficient.

    Wow... This might be a bit rough but I travel a lot and all I expect from these chain hotels is little to no hassle. It starts before you even get there with the lack of presence on google maps. They changed over from a holiday inn 5 months ago, and they still haven't added the place to google maps?? That's just ridiculous. I was looking for their number so I could call for the airport shuttle when I arrived and since they are not on google maps I looked it up on google.com on my iPhone and I got the 800 number which put me through to india. After searching my emails to give him my confirmation number he proceeds to tell me all the details of my stay (room choice, dates of arrival and departure, etc). I told him I have that info on an email all I want is a shuttle at the airport because it's 110 degrees outside. Of course, being in india he probably thought I should have brought a jacket, but that's neither here nor there. He tells me I need to call a different number to get the shuttle. So I finally get there to check in and I hand over my credit card, as I have at every hotel I ever stayed in, and she hands it back and says we don't need this because you are prepaid through hotels.com . Great, except after I ate dinner in the hotel and went back to my room I get a call that I have to come to the front desk right away because there is a charge from the restaurant to my room and they have no credit card on file for me.

    The elevator must have been built during world war one because it takes an hour to go up 5 floors and there is a deafening ring that goes off on every floor. Plus, every time it stops on the lobby floor the back door opens to the outside for the service people and it fills with 100 degree air. Next, when you walk in the room the smell immediately brings you back to every time you have been in a hospital (usually good memories, right?)... Then the air condition has to be set below 68 or the humidity from outside will fill your room.

    Don't try to call the front desk for anything because most of the time it goes to a recording and if you do manage to get through they are not pleasant at all and hang up before the conversation is complete. This could be because there is only one person at the desk most of the time and the hotel is bigger than your average holiday inn. Every time I went to the front desk, including the time I was told to rush down there to give my credit card and when I simply wanted to find out when the airport shuttle was coming, I waited a solid 10 minutes before being able to talk to someone.

    The restaurant was pretty good and the airport shuttle driver was nice so I will boost my rating up to two stars.

    There are so many choices by the airport, I will be avoiding this one in the future.

    This hotel obviously caters to business travellers, but they treat everyone to superb service and attention.

    I especially love seeing/hearing the waterfall feature in the really pretty atrium lobby. It's next to the indoor pool, which I like since I burn like flashpaper in the the FL sun.

    The room was very comfortable (although, when we first walked in, the AC was cranked up waayyy to high for my tastes), clean and pretty spacious.

    Parking is plentiful and there are several entrances to the hotel, so you can get pretty close to one near your room and you don't have to hump your luggage from Timbuktu to your room.

    Best part is the complementary shuttle. We had to drop a rental car the night we checked in and they were practically willing to follow us in the shuttle to take us back to the hotel.

    Great service all the way around.

    This hotel will become my go-to place when I'm in the JAX. If I were so inclined, I'd probably use their meeting rooms/services.

    Great hotel. Airport shuttle and near other hotels so in case your shuttle doesn't show, you can hop on another close by. Nice lobby, great staff, tons of eats nearby as well as an outdoor shopping area. There is also a bus round the corner to take you places including downtown.

    Comfy beds, nice tv and free computers in lobby. Also stayed when it was a holiday inn. Never ate here bc hotel food is too pricy for my taste and didn't use the pool or fitness center so can't give it five stars yet. Will be back for sure.

    Comfortable hotel, Reliable airport shuttle, and a nice lobby bar. This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn but has since been renovated into a crown plaza. The beds were comfortable, and I always love the signature crown plaza sleep kit! If you're crew be sure to bring your crew ID to the bar for $1 draft beers and $2 mixed drinks!! The front desk staff were super friendly, which is always a plus.

    Pros:
    - super comfy bed
    -one cup coffee maker in the main room, easy to use (turn it on first, then open it up to put in the packet and water, took me awhile to figure that out)
    -nice toiletries
    -lots of towels provided
    -easy free parking
    -quiet
    -decent selection of TV shows
    -reasonable room service costs and selection
    -gym and pool

    Cons:
    -smells like chlorine in lobby because the pool goes inside the lobby too
    -breakfast isn't included, but you can walk to the Waffle House next door for cheap eats
    -the cups in the bathroom are all ceramic, which grosses me out since I watched a dateline or 20/20 special that showed maids wiping out cups with the toilet rag, so I grabbed styrofoam cups from the lobby bar and used those during my stay
    -all staff other than the check-in staff were pleasant and helpful.  The front desk staff seemed completely disinterested in us and their job.

    Overall we had a quiet, uneventful stay, and I'd definitely stay here again.  It's not close to downtown, but minutes from the airport, so if you prefer being closer to the airport it's a great option.

    Nice, clean hotel. Checkin was smooth and room was as expected with standard 3.5 star amenities and comfortable beds. The free WiFi was plenty fast. Checkout is at 11am like all Crowne Plazas seem to be but they happily allowed me to check out at noon free of charge when I requested some extra time. Would definitely use hotel again.

    I made a reservation on 1/25 for 2/8 and requested 2 connected rooms. I even spoke to 2 reservation clerks and stated that I needed connected rooms - they both said they noted it on the reservation. Imagine my high level of irritation when I got there and not only did they NOT have ANY connected rooms, but they could give us 2 rooms, each on separate floors. After a bit of back and forth I got 2 rooms side by side, and the front desk offered us complimentary breakfast at their restaurant the next day.

    When people request a connected room - they USUALLY have a reason!!!!!  duh!!  Crowne Plaza mgmt - if you are reading this I hope that

    a) if a customer has a special request on their reservation and you are not able to fulfill that request for ANY reason, CONTACT THE CUSTOMER and let them know!

    b) offer a complete refund and call around to other nearby hotels to see if they can assist your customer with the special request.

    This would have been a 1 star rating, however the bed was comfortable and the bartender (the one from Maine) was very nice and efficient - hence the 2 addtl stars.

    They have a nice cafe / resturaunt in the main lobby. The pool is both inside and outside with a swim through. Maybe I'm being a little nostalgic, but that was so much fun as as kid! The rooms are clean. Not "barefoot carpet clean" but cleaner than most hotels.
    The bathrooms aren't large, but are nice and plenty of ammenities. If you're without a car there are some moderate food choices 1/2 a mile away that is an easy walk.
