I originally gave this hotel a poor rating because of the poor night sleep I had. I felt the need to change the rating because the people here are amazing. They went out of their way to fix my problems and made the rest of my stay quite nice. People do make a difference!

Great location just down the street from the expansive shopping and restaurants at St. John's center. Central to the city and local businesses nearby. Fairly new location with updated furniture, flat panels, desks and decor. Great breakfast service and staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Rates very reasonable. Only real complaint I would have is with the age and condition of the workout equipment (treadmill and bike). Other than that, great place to stay!

Clean and a nice staff. The bed is not impressive. Also a big pet peeve of mine- no easily accessible outlets

Cannot believe I have not reviewed this place yet!  It's really quite comfortable, clean, and relatively new, or it feels that way at least.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. . .always!  My rooms have always been super clean, well appointed with frige AND microwave.  In addition, there is a pantry area where you can buy items if need be.

Breakfast is included, but not really fit for my dietary needs.  There is a lot pre packaged items like biscuits, yogurt, packet oatmeal and grits and small cartons of milk.

It is perfect for business travelers like me, and it really feels like home.  No brainer to choose to stay here!

Great visit.  This hotel was very clean and their continental breakfast offered tons of choices.  Rooms are nice and comfortable.  We enjoyed our stay.

My stay was for business over 2 days and the location was convenient for my purposes; right at I-95 for getting around quickly and on the southern portion of the city for heading back to Tampa when finished up.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice...exceptionally nice in one particular case: the lady  servicing the breakfast was VERY helpful and I almost felt like I was being waited on at a diner. She prepared my waffle fresh for me, refilled my OJ when it was low, brought a paper to me, and encouraged me to eat a banana because it would "get me through the day." All of that with a smile at 6am!

The only knocks I will give on the place is that in the room- the heavy curtain only covers 1/4 of the way on each side...leaving the middle 1/2 portion only covered with a shear cloth for light to get in. I improvised and used a clothes hanger to clip them together.

There was a fridge, microwave, and coffee & single cup maker in the room...you expect those these days until you run into a few that leave them out. The free WiFi was also appreciated, as many still charge for that.

Enjoyed the stay.

We usually stay in other locations when in this area but decided to branch out.  The Senior discount was best but they also give a Mayo discount for those going to the Clinic.  Finding the place even in daylight was a chore since you follow a street sign down what appears to be a side road and THEN you see the big motel sign.  Upon check in we asked Eric, the night clerk, for a quiet room.  Started to unpack when next door the family we all dread arrived.  You know the type, no idea of common courtesy, yelling down the hallways to the rest of the clan, kids banging the walls, etc.  Assumed they would fall into a quiet stupor after a big supper out but did not want to take the chance.  Informed Eric who quickly gave us a new room with no nonsense about "I am sure they will quiet down, etc".   Luckily they have big brass carts for moving luggage smoothly.  We had an extremely quiet night.  So we saw 2 rooms, both well appointed, frig, microwave, with nice touches like an attractive valance over the window curtains, very clean, no odor.  Sadly this motel and probably the chain has gone cheap on the flat screen TVs and the ports do function to allow plug and play which we enjoyed just recently at a La Quinta.  We prefer streaming video versus the commercial ridden regular TV so we missed being able to run our picture through the flat screen.  Another common feature missing is 110 power outlets on the desk lamps.  We carry a 110 ext cord but it is a pain to get under the desk to plug it in.  However, the internet connection was excellent!  Breakfast was OK with lots of microwave stuff like sausage and biscuits which are actually fresher than some of the prepared items I have had in the past.  This is a keeper.
