Perfectly ok. Very friendly staff. Near mayport but think I will stay a few miles south next to the st johns town center next trip. Have stayed at well over 50 Hamptons and nothing bad to say about this one. Solidly in the average.

    Nice, new clean.
Walmart Supercenter and a mall nearby.  Ruby Tuesdays next door.
Great place to be for a few days of work.

Although this Hampton Inn is located on Hospitality Lane, do not be fooled. They are NOT hospitable.

The staff was rude and it just didn't seem like they had control of the place. The water in Jacksonville is horrible so after the vending machine ate my dollar they gave me what they said was a "complimentary water" at the front desk. When I asked for another one the next morning, still not being refunded my money, I was rudely answered with "What is your name?" "Oh.. those are only for our Gold and Platinum members."

Their breakfast was also really poorly maintained and kept running out of juice, there was no ice for the yogurt, AND even their juice tasted like the nasty J-ville water. Sorry, Hampton. You suck.

Man, I hate giving bad reviews without really giving it a chance. But, I'll tell everyone this. This place smells so bad omg! Like old undried laundry. It's pretty affordable considering how close we were to Bestbet. For us DG's it's 5star I guess. Pump that ac low and get your nose ready to adjust to the smell. After a while it be awesome. Just to catch some zzzzzz at least. Better then my fourth of July trip here. Slept in the mofo car for 3hrs. Woke up in that heat. No effn Hotel at all. Check at least 30 hotels. Fml

AVOID THIS HOTEL!  The dressers smell!  Discovered that they are wiped down with a dirty moldy towel.  The carpet was also extremely filthy in my room.  Before I discovered how dirty the carpet was I ended up destroying a pair of socks.  The floors were sooooo dirty, I had to wash my feet before I went to sleep otherwise I would track debris and dirt into bird.  Also, hot water was non existent in the morning.

Even with a Diamond status, I was not able to secure a room with either a mini fridge or microwave.

We arrived on Friday night.  When we got to our room (right next to the elevator) we noticed all the stains.  Carpet and furniture.  I put a towel on the chair and the towel stuck.  As it was a busy weekend in Jacksonville, we had to stay.  On Saturday, when they cleaned the room they didn't bother to leave any toilet paper and the room didn't have any.  On Sunday, they didn't even bother to clean the room.  I guess as a Hilton Honors member, I expected more.  The elevator kept us awake most of the night.  Also, the shower took over an hour to drain after it was used.  I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was worried when I read the reviews. Really worried. This place was great. Always fresh fruit flavored water and cookies
Great breakfast. Clean rooms and really fast service! I was impressed.

A fine business hotel.  There is not much here, and it is not a place I would bring my family--but great for work if you need to be in JAX.

Note, there is a well-stocked gas station in easy walking distance, as well as a few close restaurants.

The staff are very friendly, and the rooms were clean.  Some of the furniture was a bit banged up and showing its age.  A cosmetic refresh on this hotel is probably due, but wouldn't stop me from coming back.
