So, in the past year I have been traveling a lot. When you are literally living out of a carry on you come to appreciate the little things, and this place has got it down. It has free wifi, clean sheets and room, decent gym, good continental breakfast, etc, but these usually come standard in most hotels these days. What sets this place apart in customer service. Maybe its just me, but they remember my name and things that we last talked about. Take one of my experiences as an example.

There was a trip when I got in at 9:45pm after spending most of the day traveling. I had a really bad day, I was tired, in need of a long shower, and had a craving for milk and cookies. As I was checking in what was on the counter you ask. A PLATE OF COOKIES! I was as happy as Little Timmy was on Christmas morning. Unfortunately Big Bertha and her side kick BIGGER Bertha were in front of me. Needless to say, the dynamic duo took ALL of the freaking COOKIES!!!! They were complaining about a lack of restaurants in the area and how the portions were getting smaller. I couldn't remember exactly what she was saying. I was focused on all the cookies the duo had in their chubby fingers. I remember thinking to myself, Lady, the portions are the same. It's you who has changed.  (Yes, I know I am going to hell) There had to be at least 15 good sized cookies on that plate. Yes, I was mad, but I was just too tired to get angry. So, I guess I came off as super sad: think of the faces of the starving kids on the commercials where they ask for donations to help support the hungry kids. The young brunette receptionist who was also studying for an exam witnessed the injustice. I asked if they had anymore cookies to which she replied they were all out. She asked if I was okay, I responded with a smile, I guess it's too much to ask for a guy to get some milk and cookies after a bad day or something to that effect.

After I settled in and took a shower. I heard a knock at the door. Turn down service with a happy ending? Even better! It was room service with a glass of milk and a stack of oatmeal raisin cookies courtesy of the receptionist!

I am definitely coming back to this place for the extra effort that they always provide me with.

Note: I have nothing against big ppl. I just have something against ppl (big or small) who TAKE ALL OF THE COOKIES!!!!

Stayed in a room with two queens. It was a standard room with a clean bathroom stacked with towels and a tray of complementary toiletries. There was a small LCD TV with 30-something channels and desk. What left a lasting impression and a 4 star review is how plush and amazing the beds were. The mattress itself was very comfortable (it was on the softer side, but still firm enough) and I haven't felt such soft blankets and pillows since my last trip to Vegas at the Bellagio.

The breakfast buffet they serve when compared on an absolute scale something I would be pissed to buy, but considering it's an average hotel with a small breakfast area, its not all that bad. For the two mornings I was there, they served a continental type breakfast with fruits, cereal, and an assortment of juices. They also have a new waffle maker if that tickles your pickle.

Here on business in October.  Not a luxury hotel, but above average for Jacksonville.  People at the front desk for helpful and nice.  Clean room.  Quiet room.  Nice bed.  Can't go wrong by staying here.

I have stayed there 5x this year. Same staff every time. There is comfort in consistancy.Kelli does a great of running the front desk and keeping all of the guests happy. Rooms are clean and adequate. More importantly it is quiet!
Breakfast consisted of cheese omlets, bacon and french toast.. Other morning was scrambled eggs, sausage and  potatoes. Both mornings there were home made waffles, and the usual bagels, breads, cereals, etc. Three coffee choices. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and the french toast was nothing to write home about but everything else was delicious.
When you stay here there is no need to drive anywhere to get to a restaurant. Plenty of offerings right actross the parking lot.

Clean, quiet, and convenient. This location was very easy to spot off 295 outside of Jacksonville. I would have given 5 stars, but I was really disappointed that we had a handicap room without a bathtub. We requested a tub when we were booking the room, but when we arrived they didn't have another room to give us. The employees were very friendly and apologetic, but I was still disappointed after having driven for  7 hours from Charlotte. The bed was super comfy and the room was extremely quiet, except for the AC unit that rattled a bit when it switched on. The complimentary breakfast was decent and the coffee was hot and flavorful.

Stayed here for business. Beds were not your typical Hampton Cloud Nine (pretty hard) but overall the stay was comfortable, room was clean. Hotel was slightly dated but internet worked well. Location was very close to 295, within walking distance of an Outback and Carabbas and less than a mile to a Publix. Breakfast was annoying, there is a very small room and an awkward set up for seating, you're probably better dining out than fighting the morning rush.

Hey, this is a really nice place with great front desk help on all shifts.  I enjoyed all of the amenities of this hotel. It was 15 min from downtown (which is were I a was working and 20 min from the beach)  The breakfast was good and hot, with waffels, eggs, bacon. They also had hot and cold cereal with a juice bar.  The price was pretty good plus I booked on my phone and got 16% mobile discount.   There is a Publix and a package store across the street, also Sneakers Bar, Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's and a Broklynn Pizza.

Great hotel! I stayed here for 2 nights, and the front desk was helpful and friendly. When the business center printer was jammed, they let me use the front desk computers to print out my boarding pass!

The Wifi is FREE and works very well, unlike most of the hotels I've ever been to. The TV is a flat LCD TV and there's also a refrigerator and microwave. The rooms themselves are very clean and nice and the whole building and area seem pretty new. The plaza that the hotel is in contains many restaurants, so you'll never be hungry.

Continental breakfast was way more than I expected, not just your simple danishes and coffee. There were eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, milk and cereal, donuts, bagels, all kinds of juices, yogurt, and more. The breakfast potatoes were amazing! Oh yeah, how could I forget...they have waffle makers too!

I think the only thing I would complain about is that it was difficult to keep the bathroom floor dry during showers. I realized on my second night there that the bottom of the shower curtains have magnets that you stick to the inside of the bathtub. Genius! The floor was dry that night. :)

There happened to be a Santa convention (yeah you read that right) staying here at the same time as my group, and that really made our day. We even took pictures with them sitting on their laps at breakfast. I know they're not part of this hotel, but the fact that they're staying at this hotel must mean the hotel is on the "Good" List! :D

My out of town friends stayed here recently and they enjoyed it a lot.  They loved their room and said the hotel staff were very nice.  I loved their lobby, it is all new and comfortable.

Clean hotel with easy access to restaurants and the local beltway around Jax.  The rooms are spacious and the staff are very friendly, very typical of Hampton Inns.

I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns and this is as good as it gets.  Fantastic staff.  Clean and quiet.  Nice pool.  Well stocked and hot full breakfast.  Nice location.  Really hard to beat.  Bed was comfortable.  Really would not ask for anything more.  Will stay again.

The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel is very clean.  The room was very clean and comes with a nice comfy bed, flat screen tv, microwave and big fridge.  The complimentary breakfast, beautiful lobby and an outdoor pool. The bed was super comfy and the room was extremely quiet.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for business in JAX , being at a Hampton is pretty enjoyable regardless of the location but I appreciated the customer service and friendliness of the staff of this specific Hampton- especially Blake R! Kudos to all!

I recommend staying here if you're in the area; great people, great experience!

I am very happy with my stay at this hampton inn.

People at the check-in are nice and friendly.   The room was very clean and comes with a nice comfy bed, flat screen tv, microwave and big fridge.  The bathroom is spacious and has a big granite countertop.  The shower head has many different water streams.

The complimentary breakfast has several different cereals, bagels, muffins, and hot items (omletes, maple sausage and oat meal).  They are not bad.

I recommend this place if you are looking for a basic clean hotel with good service and in a good location for a reasonable price.

This hotel is just your average hotel set up but with some freebies (free parking, wifi, breakfast, extra cable channels) that aren't always free with the larger chains. There is a lot less crowded area since the hotel is smaller. It's a good in and out hotel but I've have been to other Jacksonville hotels with a better pool, ect...

The hotel service is wonderful. Jacksonville seems to have some of the friendliest people. The service from the front desk to the housekeeping were happy and sweet any time I saw them.

There isn't a restaurant on site but there is a place next door that delivers to the rooms. Also, there are a handful of other businesses which makes this standard hotel a little more active if a guest gets bored. The free breakfast was not so good. A lot of things were gone---fruit bowl, orange juice, and some other empties that were once filled. Cereal, waffles, toast, yogurt were available along with no so good looking eggs and potatoes. Free is free though.

The rooms come with a good amount of space and a fairly large fridge with microwave. I had a few things missing though: my luggage rack (I always use mine), my do not disturb sign (housekeeping woke me up), my clock was 2 hours late (I panicked once because I thought I was late for something). The room was clean and supplied the average hotel items.

The pool was small but no one was out there. It could seat 6-8 people on the deck comfortably and 3 people in the pool. There was a lot of shade though. The gym was a good size and had the average set up. My room view was not bad! I expected a nasty parking lot (yes, I had that) but from my room I saw the city and right in the middle was an American flag (nice!).

Returnable: 30% because there other hotels I'd use. A good price for your value of stay though. If it was the only hotel in the area it would have been an 80%.

I stayed here for 5 days because I was working in the area. Overall, the stay was just ok. The rooms need to be better maintained as the first room I was placed in had several holes in the sheets as if it had gotten caught on something in the dryer and the refrigerator was leaking so badly that It could not be used. (Needless to say I requested another room)

The decor and furnishings of the hotel need to be "updated" as it had a late 1990's feel to it and was stained badly (at-least in my room the furniture was so stained that I didn't feel comfortable sitting in it or even placing my things on them)

Here are some pros and cons in a snapshot:

    Pros:

The front staff was very friendly and helpful

The staff did a great job keeping the hot beverages actually hot in the lobby area (and their coffee actually tasted good)

They have a laundry room on site with one washer and one dryer

Their business center is actually decent as they have two computers, one printer, a hole punch, and stapler

    The rooms were spacious

They have a recycle bin in the lobby

    Cons:

The rooms don't have a rack or anything to hang your hand towel to allow it to dry

I noticed fruit flies throughout the hotel (including my room which made me uncomfortable leaving my fruit out)

My room had a weird smell to it when the A/C wasn't on and the shower wasn't properly cleaned as it had hairs on the wall, shower curtain, and shower floor

The breakfast was just "ok" definitely nothing to write home about (they offered your typical cereal, fruit, juice from the machine, yogurt, and breads like most hotels to name a few)

I didn't see a sign stating what floor the laundry room was on and once in the laundry room, no sign was posted to tell you how long the wash & dryer cycles were

Although the business center was decent, the printer kept malfunctioning stating there was a paper jam when there wasn't one

thank you Andrea for fixing the problem and not letting it go by the wayside.
    it is much appreciated
