We were planning a trip to Jacksonville and I have a special discount link so I tend to stay at the Holiday Inn chains.

This particular room, because I booked early, was booked at a great rate. I was booking for 5 people so we had two double beds and a pull out couch. The couch area was separated by a short half wall so the room was a good size! It had a microwave and fridge which was handy as we were in town for a long weekend (4 days, 3 nights). A huge pet peeve of mine is a crappy exhaust fan in the bathroom. After a steamy shower, it's annoying as all get out if you can't use the mirror in the bathroom because of being steamed over but this exhaust fan was PHENOMENAL! I even tested it and didn't run the fan until after my shower. By the time I put my face cream on and brushed my teeth, the exhaust fan had cleared the mirror up completely. This particular location also served a free hot breakfast with several options such as bacon/sausage, eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, yogurt, cereals, muffins & bagels, fruit, coffee, juices and a pancake maker that pops out two small pancakes. No issues with the room or the staff, very pleasant stay, and the beds were so comfy that it was easy to rest well during my stay. Also even though right behind the hotel is a poor area, that didn't take away from the great location because we were 10 to 15 miles from everything we were going to (downtown Jacksonville, beach, etc). Not a whole lot in that area as far as nice places to eat or bars/clubs, but we just drove into the downtown area for all of that. Two thumbs up!!

This was one of the nicer Holiday Inn Expresses that I have been to. The room was huge, clean, great pillows, and you can never go wrong with a whirlpool tub in your room.  The breakfast was good, considering what it is.  The cinnamon rolls are so good!

I've stayed here several times each of them being pleasant. complementary breakfast and a one time $40 pet fee (theres also a doggie poop spot with complimentary doggie poop bags). The rooms are clean, the noise level from adjacent rooms is minimal and the staff is friendly The only negatives are that its kinda in "the cut" situated off of a main road.... In the boonies, and the ice and vending machines on the second floor were non existent. Other than that I'm a fan. And this is my go to hotel for quick family visits.

Also there is a waffle house one block away (before the A1A overpass that is AMAZING!)

When I am visiting family, I often decide to stay here and every visit is great. There are many pros to staying here:  It is located right next to I295, it is tucked away so the sound of the interstate is muffled and there is no other buildings or hotels where it is located. The hot breakfast includes sausage, turkey sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, and there may be a variance in how the eggs are prepared. There is cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, juice station, coffee station, yogurt and more. The dining area if off the check in counter and it is very spacious with tables and a "living room" style set up with couches and a tv on one side. I always get the single room with king size bed. This room has a small sectioned off area with a love seat, recliner, coffee table, microwave and mini refrigerator. Very spacious room. The hotel staff are always friendly and accommodating. The property is well maintained. There is ample parking and grass around to take dogs for a walk or to potty. I have not gone to the pool or used any other amenities to provide a review on those aspects of the hotel. The free wifi is very fast and what I liked which was not in effect the last time I was here is that the net doors of the hotel require key access to enter after a certain time at night. If no key then there is an option to ring the doorbell. So, here is why this is a 4 star review. The shower head for this particular room was mediocre, the water is hard (just Jacksonville area in general), the toilet flushed but I had to press the lever all the way down then manually lift it to the upright position if not it would run all night. The location is good but hard to find because it sits right between a Mitsubishi car dealership and the interstate. It's easy to miss but there is a light shortly nearby and a U turn can be made with ease. There is repaving of the roads so the street is more difficult to see right now. Also, there is no sign near the street with a sign die ring you to the hotel but there is a large billboard with the word "addicted"  above the street sign that can be used as a clear landmark. There is a one time pet fee of $40 but many places have one. This is my hotel of choice in Jacksonville.

Was traveling down 95 for Christmas and could tell with traffic it would be late before we could stop. Read the reviews and all sounded pretty good, so called to make a reservation. The 800 number was confusing so hung up and tried the local #.  A lot more efficient!!
When we finally arrived exhausted , they had everything ready, sitting on the counter waiting for us.  I have never been checked in any hotel so quickly.
The beds extremely comfortable and large rooms. Breakfast was very nice the next morning before finishing our trip.  Could tell by all the employees that they were on top of things!!!  Highly recommend!!!!
