Just another hotel, nothing special. My upgrade was to the handicap suite.

This hotel made me a believer- in Holiday Inns that is. My last few hotel experiences have not gone well, so I was pleasantly surprised with the price, beds, rooms, staff, and everything. We booked online, so we got a better deal, however, Holiday inns are now my go-to hotels!!!

It has a funny smell that's not really funny. It's kinda old. The air system is loud in the rooms, and well, my cable quit working during the visit.
I mean, it's not God awful. It is clean. It does serve its purpose. Nothing more. If you just need a place to crash for sleep, then ok. Pets are allowed, so if you hear barking during your visit, know that it is real and you're not crazy.
If you want a little bit more, keep on moving.

Fancy? Hell no. Clean, quiet with nice staff? Hell yes!
No bells or whistles (unless you count complimentary mouth wash, which is really nice in this age of plastic baggies on plans for your liquids) this is a clean, calm, humid site to do whatever you have to do in Jacksonville.
Pretty basic room, clean, with fridge & microwave: 2.5 stars.
Again, I found the front desk staff amazingly awesome. A colleague and I arrived from our respective red-eye flights from SF at 10 am and the front desk upgraded us to mini-suites to make up for not having rooms available when we tried to check in at 11 (their check out is late--12 pm!) and the woman was gracious and incredibly polite despite our very early arrival. A+ + 1 star.
This ain't a plush hotel, but unlike you a plush hotel, you get free wireless. +1. But it sucks. -1. Still, I've paid nearly $20/day for horrible internet, so final score: +0.5
Tucked away in a business park, this isn't, um, happening Jacksonville (if such a place exists) but it gets the job done at a very reasonable rate.
Unsolicited & slightly random review: if you find yourself in the Jax area, check out 96.9 The Eagle. The most awesome, cheesy-ass 70's-80's power-rock station I've ever heard. Our entire crew was rocking out to it until we lost it on our way to Daytona Beach. I cried a little Foreigner-Bon Jovi-REO Speedwagon-Journey-Queen tear. The awesomeness overwhelmed me. I need to find out if they have an Internet feed.

Stay was OK. I think this is the older styling of HI expresses. Check in was a bit difficult. Pet friendly but pretty much NO PLACE to walk a dog. At all. Staff didn't seem overly friendly. Housekeeping started banging around really early in the morning which made for a rough start. Overall, I wouldn't return for a second visit. There's a ton of hotels in that area and I wasn't given a good reason to want to return again.

I checked in 6am and Jamie ( the staff member) let me stay until the next day. It was very honest and kind, most hotels would me do the check out at noon and would have to pay one more night .
The breakfast was good, small with couple of options. The room was reasonable , clean and organized.
Would stay here again.
