We had an extended stay at the hotel due to a work project out of town. This location was prime in relation to our work site.
The rooms were adequate and the beds were very soft, which we liked. The staff members (mostly - there always seem to be a few outliers) were friendly and helpful.
Our one disappointment during this stay was that there was a considerable amount of renovation going on. We were not informed prior to reservation, nor was there a note on the website, about the renovations. The breakfast was provided, but located in a conference room, which was smaller than the regular area, so seating was sometimes limited or unavailable. The pool deck was torn up and, therefore, closed. (Even though this stay was in November, it IS Florida, and warm enough to expect swimming.) The fitness room was also closed for renovation, and although we were offered the ability to go to a nearby health club, we were not able to take up the offer because the club didn't allow kids.
We are platinum Priority Club members, so we regularly stay at the Holiday Inn brand hotels. But this stay was a bit disappointing all in all.

Roach in the room. Cleaning supply fumes were so strong we had to let room air out. Won't be back.

Very quiet location. Sits in the same parking lot as a Wendy's. Seems popular for those boarding cruise ships. I can see why many people will stay here the night before because it is within minutes to the boarding docks. Clean rooms. The manager was a living legend on TripAdvisor. Main reason why I stayed here based off the Trip advisor rooms. Free Wifi, contienental breakfast. VERY QUIET AREA right off I-295. Not bad for a room for $50/night deal.

I am a big fan of "Holiday In Express" hotels. I try to stay in them when I travel because so far they have not let me down. This hotel is not going to disappoint either. I stayed here the night before going on a cruise.
The rooms are quiet and comfortable, The free breakfast was better than I expected.
The Carnival cruise port is three minutes away. The hotels offer a cruise package which includes your room, storage of your car while on your cruise, and transportation to the ship and back to pick up your car. The staff was organized they knew exactly what was needed to board the ship. My trip started our great thanks to the staff at this hotel.
