We enjoyed our stay here. The front lobby staff was friendly and professional and checked us in without fuss or drama. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was in line with a moderately priced hotel. We realized the next morning that the windows opened wide and we could have had fresh air all night in our third floor room. Other hotels block their windows closed. Although we did not swim, our window looked out over the clean pool, and other people did enjoy a quick evening swim. The hotel is situated near full service restaurants and in a clean neighborhood where we did not fear that our car would be broken into. We would stay here again.

We needed a cheap place to crash in Jacksonville while down there meeting up with some family.  My only condition was that the place was clean and had a nice pool.  This place really exceeded our expectations, and we paid under $150 for 2 nights.  

The rooms were great - pretty much your standard hotel room, but had a mini fridge and microwave in addition to the coffee maker.  No balcony, but had windows which opened which was nice.  Huge sigh of relief when I saw the spotlessly clean bathroom.  Comfy bed with nice crisp clean sheets.  Decor was nothing special, pretty much what you'd expect in this price range.   Smallish TV, came with HBO.

The pool was great!  Very clean, not too chemical-ly, and we had it to ourselves most of the stay.  Also had a hot tub, but it was about 90 degrees outside for our entire stay, so stuck to the pool.  Spent a few hours each morning swimming with our daughter down there and loved it.  

The location is pretty central, but not in downtown.  About 10 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes form the beaches, 30 minutes from St. Augustine.  Safe looking neighborhood, lots of nearby restaurants/gas stations/stores, right off 95.  

One great surprise was the included breakfast.  It wasn't just some danishes, but had a make-your-own-waffle station, fresh juices, bagels, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereal, tons of tea and coffee, toast, and of course danishes.  Pleasantly surprised, and would definitely return.

In town on business, we stayed at LaQuinta because the company uses this hotel to host overnight visitors. We were greeted by a friendly staffer and quickly settled into our spacious room. It was everything we needed and was as clean as we expected it should be. From our fourth floor window we could see peeps enjoying the hot tub and pool, and although we did not partake, they seemed to be having fun. The bed was comfortable - firmer than at other hotels we've been to recently - and we awoke well-rested. After I take my shower we will head downstairs for a quick breakfast then we'll be off. :-)

Clean room for a good price. Nice Staff and fairly quiet. Moved here after a disastrous stay at another hotel in the area. Very relieved to have a better experience here.

Worn and tired hotel. My room is spacious but it smells like wet dog and the chair smells like urine. I am too tired to request a new room. I will try Motel 6 next time.

UPDATE: The guests next door came back and showed the paper-thin nature of the connecting door. They are loud and I can't fall asleep. This place sucks for sure. I called the front desk to get a new room.

UPDATE #2: The new room smells of new paint. I called the front desk to ask if it has been painted (now I see the painter's tape on the back of the room door) and the desk has no records of what has been painted recently. After 10 minutes and the start of a headache, I ask for yet another room.

UPDATE #3: I check the next room and it all looks good. Finally! I unpack and yet when I go to the bathroom, there is fecal matter in the loo. Wow, they don't even bother to flush!? That's it. Three strikes you are out.

In the end, I called hotels.com to demand a refund. I left and headed for the nearby Best Western. It ended up being cheaper and the room was much, much better. This was my first visit to a La Quinta hotel and most certainly my last.

I wish you could give zero stars.

This is our third night on the road. This La Quita is well run, spotless, and very pet friendly. There is a small lake area with benches and poop bags.

We were surprised at the value, quality
and view out our 5th floor window. Our room is basically a suite with wifi, desk space and, most of all, a comfortable king bed. We had a list of restaurants to explore but since our suite is so relaxing, we are ordering in. It feels like home.

Excellent location and beautifully kept facility at a fantastic price!   Before we arrived, we had three different contacts here with the front desk.  Haley could not have been more helpful, and when we arrived she continued to make our stay as delightful as possible.    The staff welcomes guests as family into their own home!   Staying an en extra night this trip, and will definitely return I the future.

Very disappointing.
First problem - the phone didn't work. When the repairman came, we also asked about the air (room was very warm).  He checked a few things, and said it was now fixed. We travelled with a baby.  her knees were black from crawling on the carpet.  When I came back from the hospital, I went for a cup of coffee.  The site "Hotels near St. Vincent" said it was always available. No coffee- only in the am.  When I went to the room it was still warm. When I complained, the front hostess simply turned the thermostat down to 62.  I expect to freeze tonight. Her comment was "well, what did you want me to do?"  I expected to get a clean, comfortable room.  Silly me!

I have been to La Quinta Inn & Suites before and I have had pleasant experiences, and terrible ones. Unfortunately, I have endured a terrible experience at this La Quinta location.

The staff here is very friendly in person, and over the phone, but they are not helpful at all. The member at the front desk was happy to inform us that we were getting a room that was newly renovated, which was nice to hear. Once we got into the room, we had nice carpets, a nice bed, and tv. The bathrooms were not renovated, and the tiling was very old, our bathroom was missing doorknobs Painting in this room was also incomplete. During our stay we had to leave our room so they could install new curtains. (They couldn't do this when we left?)

Also, our room was cleaned once, and we had stayed here for over a week. We had put in requests to have our room cleaned 3 times, and it had never happened. During a room cleaning, your supplies are replenished. Since our rooms were never cleaned, we had to request new towels, toiletries, and sheets from the front desk nearly everyday.

One positive thing about this location is that it is pet friendly, and they are always happy to have pets in their locations. We stayed here because we were moving and needed a hotel where we could have our dog until we found a home.

Hopefully by the time anyone else chooses to stay here, the renovations will be complete, and they will have at least one person here to service rooms full-time.

Had a bad experience with a staff member, who was very rude to my dear friend who is 7 months pregnant! She needed to use the restroom, but the employee on staff did not allow her to because she was not a guest. Employees need to be better screened on having common sense, respect, and courtesy.

The room was clean, the WIFI worked and the TV in the room had a menu to navigate channels (comes in handy when you are in an unfamiliar city).  The morning breakfast was very basic, but the food seemed fresh.  The only drawback I found was in the fitness center.  The two treadmills were in need of maintenance and the TV in the fitness center would loose the picture after a few minutes.

Spending time with family visiting from out of town. Suggested they stay at the La Quinta - Butler Blvd & Lenoir Ave,  because it is easy to get to and very centrally located, with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.  Also pet-friendly and has free breakfasts, which would make anyone very happy. The hotel is clean, the clerk, Jeremy was polite, friendly and very helpful. Best experience at a hotel in a long time.

My family and I have stayed at this la quinta for 2 weeks. We just moved to Jacksonville and our rental home is not ready yet. We originally checked into the orange park location, but we're not happy with that location.  So we checked out there and checked in to this location on Butler Blvd.  Staff is extremely frienfly. Hotel is clean. Breakfast is a plus. I have 2 large dogs with me and la quinta has the best pet policy. No breed restrictions and no pet fee. Because of this we always stay at la Quinta hotels.  We've really enjoyed our 2 week stay here.

I don't understand why this hotel doesn't have a better rating on Yelp. Everything about my experience was first rate. Jeremy, at the front desk, was genuine, efficient and sincerely working to please not only me but each and every guest I observed him with.

We stayed last evening and it was great. The room was very clean. The rate was superb.  The bed was incredibly comfortable.  We drove thru NC, SC and GA before settling into Jacksonville.  My husband loved the waffle breakfast!  We will stay again!
