Decent hotel a little off the beaten path, back in a depressed business park, but still convenient to I-95.  Hotel is a little old and shows its age but is supposed to undergo renovations in the summer.  Still, it's clean and everything works.  The rooms are in about 15 buildings, all disconnected from the lobby and front desk.  Each building has 8 units on two floors.  Some of the units on the top floors include a loft.  Pool is nice.  Wi-fi is free in the lobby; Internet access in the rooms is free too but there's only an Ethernet connection, not wireless.  Overall, not great but decent - no complaints.

My husband is staying here while he is working in JAX, we have the 2 bed suite.  I came into town with my Mom and nephew and was shocked with the space this "apartment" had!  I was told they just refurbished and i believe it, everything is new and VERY CLEAN.  We have a big living room with TV, nice size kitchen (dishwasher and all), two bedrooms each with it's own bathroom and 42" tvs.  The breakfast is good, and changes daily.  Dinner and drinks 4 days a week for free is definately a bonus.  We are happy here and will stay again.

Nice RI. I like the older properties that have private entrances, this is one of them. This layout is much more convenient when traveling with dogs. My only complaint is the pet fee. $100 non-refundable is high!

I have stayed in dozens of Residence Inns all over the country. This one is far from the best (O'Fallon, MO), and far from the worst (Philadelphia Airport)  Yes, the 2 bedroom suite is roomy, and yes, they have breakfast every day and some sort of food three nights a week. But, we also had several problems. Cold showers, a jammed garbage disposal, a TV in the living room that kept freezing up, and a rude server for breakfast. Would I stay here again? Only if I had no other choice.

The price and layout of the room were great, but: the poop stuck to the sides and bottom of the toilet bowl, the total of two tissues in the tissue box, the dirty tub, moldy shower curtain, and lack of much hot water will make it tough to come back.

I also noticed black mold in the bathroom vent.  And, unless you like the sound of I-95 as you try to fall asleep, don't stay in Building 9.

7/2/14 UPDATE - I received the following message from Yelp today:  "We're writing to let you know that we have removed one of your photos of Residence Inn Jacksonville Baymeadows. Business photos and captions should be broadly representative of the business, however you're welcome to share your personal experiences in your written review."

So, it looks like they removed the photo I took of the mold in the bathroom.  While not "broadly representative" of the business, it was most certainly representative of the room I stayed in.
