I haven't yelped in awhile, so forgive me for this post for being kind of old.  This hotel had to be hands down, one of the cutest places I have ever stayed. My two and I booked this place off of the internet and were very pleased when we got off the ferry that it was not a dump.  The rooms were cute, clean, had comfy beds, flat screen TV's, and thank god the AC worked b/c it was hot as hell. The walk to all the bars was not far at all, and at night it was quiet and i slept like a rock.  My friends and I said we would go back to Key West once a year and everytime we will stay at this hotel.

We wanted to stay in old town key west but we didnt want to pay an arm and a leg and Albury Court allowed us to do that. The street where is at is very pleasant to walk and there is an excellent coffee, pastry and bread place 1 block away. The breakfast included by the hotel was very average so we went to this coffee place to eat breakfast and it was great. This hotel has very friendly people and great service. The rooms have carpet so if someone does not like that it could be an issue. I personally dont like carpets but they looked clean so it was ok. The showers are also average because the shower head doesnt deliver a nice stream of water.
Overall it was great and I recommended.

Great location, small room. Bed was comfortable enough, pool was small but clean and private. Breakfast was standard... Cereal, bagels... Room was clean, modern, and well lit. Obviously depends on your neighbors but we slept well and found it quiet. Ac and ceiling fan worked well. Nice 2nd floor patio with lounge chairs was right outside our room. Pretty Christmas tree in the lobby. We found street parking easily and left the car for two nights. Walk to everything! But I guess the beach (we went to Zachary Taylor park) was a hike ... 1.7 miles. Hotel provides beach towels. I would stay again ... We paid about 300 a night with taxes during Christmas week.

It's always stressful picking out a hotel for a vacation, especially when its for you and your significant other and you're in a long distance relationship. We got a recommendation for the Historic Key West Inns and were happy with the hotel's location because it was close to the port for the Dry Tortugas ferry and still close enough to walk 15 minutes to Duval St. I recommend staying on the Windward buildings. These rooms are recently updated and  very comfortable. The room wasn't huge, but the bed was extremely comfortable. There was also a small fridge in the room, which is always a big plus. The bathroom was also newly remodelled and I felt pretty classy. If you don't mind the walk to the bars, this place is definitely worth it.

Thank you YELP for helping me find this lovely place in Key West. The room was small but clean and just fine for my husband and myself. The location is great - walking distance or a short bike ride from almost any place you may want to go. I want to give a shout out to Ray at the front desk for being so helpful. He told us about a perfect place to catch the sunset and he was right! The complimentary poolside breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

This place is a dump!

We stayed across the street from where the pool and office was, so maybe the other side is better?

The place is on the busiest street besides Duval in KW. It was dirty, the carpet had stains, the walls are thin and I could hear my neighbors all night long!

The room was tiny!

We didnt stay for breakfast as we had to meet the ferry to the Dry Tortugas early in the morning.

This trip was my first to Key West.  I absolutely fell in love with this island.  We stayed at Albury Court and the only thing I can complain about is whatever cleaning chemicals they use.  The room had a strong smell when we first got there.  We aired it out a bit by leaving the door open.  Besides this everything else was perfect.  The hotel is about 6 blocks from Duval street so you can walk there instead of paying for cabs.  The room is clean.  It was a quiet hotel and we did not have any obnoxious guests staying near us (maybe we just lucked out).  They do take your AAA  card if you can remember to show it to them . The hotel provides a continental breakfast.  The pool is tiny and I never saw anyone in it.  I loved this place because it was quiet and quaint.  I would recommend it.

Basic one night room. The room was small and cosy with two sleeping areas..and two separate AC/heat unit. Ceiling fans above each bed. Shower was basic and there were beach towels available. Safe was openly exposed and visible on the floor. Kitchen towels provided, silverware, plates and bowls are provided. Detergent and sponge too!
Small kitchen top though. Bed was comfy. The lock on the door was basic..which made me a tad bit nervous. Close shades so people from the streets and other rooms can't look in.

Tip-bits:

Front desk guy called to make sure we were coming in...and waited!
Front desk lady called to cut us a good deal on a dolphin boat tour!
Comp breakfast from 8:30 to ??
Parking on the street
Wifi from my room (room 4 sucked) - supposedly better by the pool
Office closes at 10pm, call the manager on duty if you come in late.

On a recent family trip to Key West I found Albury Court to be pretty much perfect for us.  The price was very right, the accomodations were basic but sufficient, and the location was out of the way but accessible to everything we wanted to do. It is essentially a collection of rooms in a few different buildings in a one block area. There are are a variety of room types that could meet any need you might have, from a romantic 1 bedroom, to a 2 queen bed configuration for small families.  It's located an easily walkable distance from Duval St but is far enough away that you aren't in the midst of all the madness if you wanted to get some sleep.

There is a very small pool amidst a courtyard where they have a complimentary continental breakfast every morning and it's a block away from an outstanding bakery, should you want something a little more exciting. Still, a nice morning in the courtyard is a great way to start your day.

Albury Court is by no means luxurious, but if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay with good service and quiet location, it's hard to go wrong, especially given the price. I would definitely return!

Charming little place. Very basic rooms. Location is about 6 blocks away from Duval. We walked as much as possible, but sometimes we had to drive. Biking would be idea, since you wouldn't have to deal with the horrible parking situations on Duval.

Complementary breakfast by the pool was fantastic! A nice little spread that will hold you over before lunch. Pool itself was nice, but more like a large hot tub (kinda teeny). They have a bunch of chairs and tables, but only 2 loungers so get there early for laying out.

The staff was friendly enough and kept the rooms very clean. Very reasonable in price!

Beth's Tip: If you're looking for a good value, this is it (especially with the complimentary breakfast).

My boyfriend and I took a week long vacation and chose this place because it was a very good value for the money and has a good location.  My family is from Key West and I am down there at least once a year, so I know the area.  We wanted a vacation getaway, and Albury Court delivered.

Some reviewers have complained about small rooms.  Seriously?  You're in a tropical paradise.  GO OUTSIDE.  Besides, the room was a fine size and has everything you need (comfy bed, dresser, TV, mini fridge, wine rack, closet, small table & chairs, etc).  My favorite part of the room, oddly enough, was the bathroom.  Large and beautiful with a big shower (the kind with a glass door).

Some have also complained about the size of the pool.  Yeah, it is small.  No, you won't be able to do laps.  It's just nice for soaking.

Breakfast was pretty good, but would have liked to have seen more selection (minor).  It was nice that breakfast was outside by the pool.  Very relaxing.

Oh, and each room has a little porch with chairs!  Perfect for sipping wine in the evenings.

The location can't be beat.  Walking distance to a lot of great places but quiet enough to provide a restful vacation.

I can't recommend Albury Court more.  We will definitely stay again.

The room is nice , small but there only to sleep. We booked on a major booking site price fair for the area. Lot of vacancy signs all around the town probably could've saved money or upgraded. Location no issues less than a ten minute walk to main area. Parking is on the street we found one right away. Staff was kind to double check our spot to make sure we didn't park in a residential spot. Eaton Bikes was recommended by the Staff no discount on price but nice you can checkout and leave the bike at the inn. Breakfast typical continental but the pastries were high quality from a local bakery. Furniture was a bit wet from the rain not sure where you would eat if it was raining. Pool area small we didn't use. Must have been a family above us pretty noisy. We had a room on Eaton street which has a decent amount of auto traffic can be noisy the AC blocks most of it. Room was clean and modern,

We found this place on hotels.com , and got a very basic room that was on the same side of the road as the check-in counter.   The room reminded me of a low quality motel, the room felt damp and musky (I think it was the carpeted floors) and the shower head was terrible (as in barely any water came out, and sprayed in strange directions, making it hard to really use) - the shower also didnt have a door so it sprayed out into the area by the toilet.  However, the place was still fine for an overnight stay.  The walls were very thin, you could hear the tv in another room nearby, but yet, the street traffic was not that bad.  I was able to sleep through the night, with no problem.

The staff was super friendly and nice, and we were able to park on the side of the road by the other building (even though it said "permit parking only" they said it was ok, and sure enough, we didnt get a ticket).

I liked that this place included a continental breakfast, which was nice enough, with plenty of cereals, yogurts, and bagels out.

Despite the very basic room, I would recommend this place, as the price was reasonable, the staff were nice, and it was a good location (quieter area, but under a 15min walk to duval st.

When we got on the plane for KW we had reservations for the Heron House Court B&B (which is next door to Albury Court)  after showing up at Heron House and being told that they don't accept guests under 21, the awesome people at Hotels.com 5-Star customer support had us re-booked at the Albury Court hotel which was also $100 cheaper (bonus).  I do have to thank they folks at Heron House Court who let me use their Internet to search for a new hotel :-)

We walked next door and the Albury court and after downloading our reservation they had us in a room within 15 minutes.  We were in the building across the street from the front office.  It was nice because we were in the back away from all of the foot traffic (and noise that accompanies it)  The only downside is that the free wireless Internet signal didn't reach our room.  Not the biggest issue in the world, I would spend the morning on the roof top patio where the signal was plenty strong.

They have a nice little pool with a waterfall that my DD enjoyed on a daily basis.  They also serve a continental breakfast (toast, bagels, English muffins, cereal, yogurt etc) each morning around the pool.  We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to KW.  Apparently child friendly B&B's in KW are hard to come by.

We had to book here last minute when our ferry off the island got cancelled due to inclement weather. Our toilet overflowed the first time we used it and we waited in our room with water on the floor for an hour waiting for the staff to figure out how to clean it. The front desk and the maintenance man couldn't locate a mop and the front desk clerk was more concerned about entering bookings into her computer rather than taking care of our flooded room. The maintenance man was also completely ignorant about how to properly sanitize our floor. After waiting for a ridiculous amount of time, the owner came in our room with towels and solution and cleaned up the mess herself in about 5 minutes.  The staff here are lazy and obviously careless. I will say: the owner of this place is very nice and she took initiative to take care of the jobs her staff should be trained to do efficiently. Also, the wifi is only available in public areas, so there is no wifi access in your room and there was no soap provided to wash our hands with. Not a fan of this place and it was a pretty awful place to end our family vacation.

Took an extended weekend trip to Key West with a group from work. It was decided by the club to stay at Albury Court. I was a little hesitant about staying here as I was not sure to expect. We came in by the Key West Express Catamaran and the hotel was only two tenth of a mile away. This was a plus with our luggage. We stepped in and you could feel the laid back feel of the place. It was a bunch of small houses converted into guestrooms. The second floor were all interconnected by a deck so it was easy to move around. The place was split up by a main street so the pool was on the opposite side of my building, ok a little bit of a negative there but still not bad.
The rooms were small but very clean, another plus.  The bathroom was very small, ok another negative. The bed was comfortable that I actually did sleep which is unusual for me when it is not my bed. A big plus was it wasn't too far from all the happening of Duval Street. It was so close we walked there every night. That was a BIG plus because parking there is a big joke. We were treated to a continental breakfast every morning by the pool which was nice. My big thing that I was happy for was the place had Wi-Fi everywhere. My room, the sun deck overlooking the street and even at the pool. I will admit I am very geeky guy and am interconnected all the time.

So overall I was very happy with my stay there.

My fiancé and I decided to make a trip down to Key West to finalize our wedding plans. We needed to find a place to stay on relatively short notice.

Search after search, it seemed like the more reasonably priced hotels were far away from Duval. Like, at the beginning of the island, by the airport. I somehow stumbled across this place and booked it immediately. I'm so glad I did.

Going in, we weren't expecting too much. The room was such a pleasant surprise. It was a second floor unit, nice and bright, with a flat screen TV, couch, kitchen area with burners, fridge and microwave, a bed, small bathroom, and a decent sized closet. It was more than we could have asked for, really, since we would be spending so much time out and about. The staff was pleasant and kept the place clean and stocked with toiletries.

As others have mentioned, there is a pool area with complimentary breakfast. Nothing special - bagels, cereal, coffee, some apples, etc - but definitely a nice gesture. Key West can get expensive!

We just checked out yesterday and I already have an email thanking us for our stay, asking for our feedback, and offering a $50 off coupon for a 3-day stay in 2013. I'd totally recommend this place.

This place is an interesting little bed and breakfast only a few blocks away from Duval St. My family booked our stay for my older sister's wedding (number 1 never let your family member book any type of travel for you over the age of 20!!!)  I'll give you readers a funny story my mother thought that it would be a good idea for to book herself, my Dad, my little sister who is 20 plus years and myself of 20 plus years into a room that has two beds. So basically my Mom (who was sick) was in one bed with my little sis and then they expected me to be in the same bed as my Dad?!?! WTF!!! well guess what i ended up SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR. Took a few towels complimentary towels from the bathroom piled up a few of my clothes and boom instant bed on the floor which sucked ass. (WE ENDED UP GETTING A SEPARATE ROOM FOR THE GUYS ACROSS THE STREET THE DAY AFTER)

But to the positives!!! Apparently this is the "old town" of Key West and that most of the places around here or on the Duval St strip are pretty pricey. Well no matter the length of the stay this place is great for the value. The concierge's are extremely helpful and give you all types of advice on what attractions to see and where to eat. Like i said before it's not that far from the main strip of duval street, if your walking it will take you about 10-15 minutes, i suggest you rent a mo-ped/ electric scooter or bicycle then you could get to the main strip within 5-10 minutes. Unless your going to a different part of the keys i don't see a point in renting a car, you want to actually enjoy the heat and the sites while on your vacation. The rooms are all kept pretty clean, the cleaning staff is very chill, laid back but highly efficient. In terms of the Breakfast buffet it's pretty basic, a bunch of cereals, different toast breads, jams, peanut butter, jellies, some bagels etc. nothing to special here but it definitely gets the job done. Also the pool is open to all guests but I definitely feel like some1 off the street could easily access the pool if they wanted to.

Overall it's a great Bed and Breakfast for the $$$ do it through Booking.com and you will save even more $$$ your trip to Key West is probably already pricey why not save money where you can?!?

Friends of ours were getting married in Key West and my wife and I decided to make a long week of it. Albury Court was one of the places recommended by our friends getting married, and we absolutely loved this place.  Our room was outside by the pool, very clean, and the bed was super-comfortable.  The pool is small, but it was a pleasure sipping coffee out by it in the morning (where they serve a nice continental breakfast) and relaxing by it late in the afternoon.

The hotel looks to be an older very typical "Key West" style building, and is obviously well maintained: one afternoon by the pool we watched one of the ladies who worked their scrubbing the white picket fence with a small brush.  The hotel is just far enough off the beaten path where you'll not hear any of the rowdiness of Duval Street, but it's an easy walk, not only to Duval but also to the harbor on the north west shore of the island.

When we return to Key West (hopefully one day soon) this will be one of the first places we consider staying.

First, I am not the type who normally ventures off the beaten path of well-known hotel brands.  This was a leap of faith for me!

I wound up liking the Albury Court a lot.  First, our room was quite nice and very modern.  We had a second floor room with a small kitchen.  No complaints on the room at all.  I was worried about the window-shaker A/C unit, but it worked fine and kept the place cool.  We also had ceiling fans, which I love.  I did hit my head on the sloping ceilings (near the walls) a couple times, but I am pretty tall and it was no big deal.  Beds were very comfortable.

The pool is small, but cute.  Breakfast is served around the pool, and it is adequate.  The usual bagels, English muffins, blueberry muffins, cereal and yogurt type of thing. Enough to get you started for the day.

The hotel staff was very accommodating.  They called us a taxi a couple of times and were very friendly.  They even offered to store our luggage when we checked out -- until we boarded the ferry.

The location is good--but not ideal.  It's a pretty good walk to Duval Street -- 6+ blocks and a few more if you are going to Mallory Square.  Not too bad if its not raining, its not dark, and you haven't done it a couple times already in the day.  We had a lot of bad weather, in particular, and wound up taking a taxi a couple of times (about $7 to Mallory Square area).  Renting a bike might be just about perfect for this hotel.

I would definitely stay here again--or maybe one of the other properties owned by this company -- Historic Inns of Key West.

This is a very nice place to stay. They have created a nice Inn with some cute historic structures around  the courtyard area. The pool is nice and easy to access. It is very charming and laid back here.  You will be in the historic district, but a way away from Duval Street.

After a long drive from Fort Myers I was very excited once we finally arrived in Key West. The hotel made it even better. We had an extremely clean, comfortable, updated room with two queen beds, a kitchen area, and a decent sized bathroom.

Upon check in,  there were refreshments and the service was great. It is in a quiet location and an easy walk to Duval. About 4 blocks. I actually loved the walk because the houses were beautiful to look at along the way.

The hotel had a good sized courtyard with a cute pool and chairs. But my favorite part... The breakfast is free and awesome. From fresh bagels, croissants, muffins, bread, yogurt, fruit, cereal, tea, coffee, juice ... You name it they had it and the quality was great - not your usual nasty continental breakfast. Actual great tasting food.

Will definitely return.

Thanks for a great time.

The folks at the Historic Key West Inns have stepped up their game. Last year, we stayed at Chelsea House and had a less-than-stellar experience. I'm happy to say we gambled on a different Historic Key West Inn this year, and they have greatly improved. The room was clean, and well designed with a good color palate and large bathroom.

The breakfast is also excellent. They call it "continental" but really it is better. Continental Plus, like economy comfort class on an airplane. Not just bread and yogurt, but they even have hard-boiled eggs (pre-peeled even!) and ham and cheese croissants. A good, substantive breakfast.

However, if you're looking to be in the center of the action, this is a bit far off of Duval. We prefer to be a few blocks back to get some peace and quiet. And, disappointingly, the wifi is only available in the pool area. So, if you need or want to access wifi in your room, ask for a room near the pool. And finally, this hotel does not have a dedicated parking lot, so you're stuck with street parking. We got a spot and didn't drive again until we left, so I can't say if it is difficult to find a spot or not.

Overall, this is a great hotel for a great price ($200.night during peak season) and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Decent place, a little farther off Duval then I would of liked. Also the walls much be paper thin as we came in at 7:45pm and the neighbor was already knocking on the walls. It made us uncomfortable all night that we had to be real quiet. First thing when we woke up we heard the knocking again. The finishings were ok but not worth the $400 a night fee

I have stayed at another property of theirs a year bck and it was much nicer

I was amazed at the number of 4 star reviews this hotel received on yelp.  Our room was literally smaller than my bathroom at home, nothing at all like the hotels pictures.

I am amazingly sick of hotels posting these glorious pictures of their room and amenities but when you arrive the reality is quite disappointing.  The ac unit was directly at the foot of our bed, there was, quite literally, only 1 foot between the bed and the unit, you pretty much had to climb over the bed or twist sideways to walk to the bathroom. Not to mention that you either have to live with the room being hot and stuffy or have a blast of cold air blowing on you constantly.

There was only room for one nightstand in the room and it was holding the refrigerator so it was useless. There is no armoire or dresser, absolutely no place to put your things other than a tiny closet dominated by a safe so I could only hang 3 items.  We had to live out of our suitcases the entire week with our dirty things left in a pile on the floor.

The pool that looks so lovely on the hotel's site is tiny, more than 4 people would be horribly awkward and crowded.  There is a small wall beside the pool that is supposed to be a fountain.  However, the fountain is clogged so water shoots across the pool from half of it while the other half functions properly.  So the gist is that the pool is unusable.

There were toiletries in the bathroom when we arrived, but we never got any after the first day.  So two of us shared 1 bar of soap, and 1 tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner the whole week.  I even threw the empty bottles away and thought for sure I would get replacements but no-go.  Additionally, there was a tray in our room with coffee and accessories the first day but it was never replenished and at some point even the tray disappeared.

There is NO wifi, free or otherwise in the rooms.  To get wifi you have to sit by the pool (cause that's where you want your expensive electronics) or sit in the lobby that closes in the evenings. I'm posting a pic from the room that explains this little tidbit.

On a positive note the place is very quiet, they do a super (free) breakfast of breads, bagels, fruit and cereal. Fortunately they also have coffee.  Within very easy walking distance of Mallory Square and Duval St. and the rate was good.  No private lot for parking but we didn't have any trouble finding a space on the road.  We pretty much stayed parked and walked/biked during our stay.  There are some pay lots a few blocks away but I think you could probably find a spot on the road before you got to one.

Other than the toiletry/coffee issues I sincerely appreciate the housekeeping staff.  Several times I completely forgot and left my things all over the bed (no dresser, remember?) but the housekeeper very kindly moved them and made the bed for us anyway.  I also left several pieces of very expensive jewelry in the room and all was left untouched.

I would say that we would return in the future because of the location and rates but only to a more comfortable room, if they have one.
