I stayed here with my boyfriend and we had a really good time. The woman in the front was very accommodating and literally spent 15 minutes talking to us and finding out what we wanted to do and explaining where everything was. I think it really showed that she cared and wanted to take the extra time in order to make sure our stay was great. It is very quiet and it feels like you're staying in someone's home, so if you are with a bunch of people or want to be really loud, then this may not be the best place for you. But it had everything that we wanted. The breakfast was fine, they gave us some yogurt, fruit and bagels. Nothing too extravagant but it will definitely tied you over until lunch. It is free, so we were just glad to get some food. You will have to be up before 10am in order to grab something to eat, but that is how most of these places are. The only thing that was wrong with our stay is that we didn't stay here long enough. We still got to see a lot, but we definitely needed more time here. I would suggest trying to get a room with a bathroom inside. We booked through hotels.com and they gave us the room with a bathroom down the hall. Not that bad, but it could save you from having an accident.

Not worth the $151 for a teeny room with cracked tiling in the bathroom. Also the "free breakfast" was hardly worth it - it consisted of store-bought pastries, weakish coffee and tropical canned fruit. Also, the inn did not offer parking.
I think a visitor on a budget to Key West would be better off staying on a nearby key and just making a day trip out of the place, just because the inns are so prevalent in this place and truly not worth the money... also because it's kitschy like Mexican tourist towns like Acapulco and Tijuana (gross!) unless of course you find the choicest rooms...

Absolutely overpriced (We paid 179.40). Crappy place. Extremely old and super small room. Noisy. Not worth it. No parking. I am sure there are better places than this one.
Owners take note: please spend some money and fix the rooms. Improve the bathrooms. Let me know when you do, I will stop bye to check it out.

This place is a dump and I don't think the owners even care. The mattress was impossibly uncomfortable, the sink was clogged, there are cockroaches living in the cracks of the pool, and the bugs on the porch eat the heck out of you while you're taunted by the empty courtesy can of bug spray they provide. 'breakfast' consists of wretched coffee and a tray of bagels with packets of cream cheese, this IS NOT a bed and breakfast, don't be fooled.

Don't stay here.  Just don't.  I hate giving a bad review to an establishment that has great service.  All of the employees were great: the lady who checked us in gave us a ton of helpful information, and housekeeping was prompt and thorough every day.  however, other than location (right off Duval), this place has almost nothing going for it.  I'm all for saving money and foregoing luxuries; however, when there are multiple hotels and bed and breakfasts within the same neighborhood for approximately the same price but with much nicer facilities, I can't look past all the disappointments of the blue parrot.  allow me to list them below:

-no parking (yes, this is key west and parking is a bitch anywhere you go, but the hotels surrounding the blue parrot were somehow able to make room for a parking lot).
-no private bathroom (when I stay at a non-hostel establishment I just assume there is going to be an attached bathroom.  Although I believe some of the rooms at the blue parrot did have their own bathroom, ours was at the end of the hallway.  It was "private" in that we had our own key).
-breakfast was a bagel (and yogurt and fruit, but I hold the breakfasts at bed and breakfasts to a slightly higher standard than the continental breakfast at Holiday Inn).
-noise, noise, noise (we could hear everyone and everything outside our room.  From the obnoxious girls next door, to the crazy drunk people in the hallway at 3 am).
-bad bed (I don't care that the room was the size of my closet, but the bed at least has to be decent.  The mattress was sunken in the middle....I woke up every morning needing a massage)

Although the service was above average and the facility was very clean, I would not return.

I was not very impressed with this Bed and Breakfast. While, yes, it is walking to distance to Duval, it is on the far South end. All the bars are on the far North end. You can definitely hoof it, but you will be tired and it is way too far after partaking in all of Duval Streets libations.

We stayed in room 9 right next to the office. It was a very cheesy very pink and yellow painted room, but the beds looked comfy so we weren't too upset. That is until the morning time. Being so close to the office meant we could hear all the squawking tourists checking in.

Also, breakfast is only served until 10, which after a night of crawling down Duval St, 10am comes WAY too early.

Now for the "breakfast". I use this word lightly as it was just a couple of store bought muffins and hard bagels. Piss poor. We chose to dine elsewhere.

One other negative? There is no parking lot. You have to park somewhere on the street. I would not stay here again.

They claim to be a "Bed and Breakfast" yet they only provide disgusting coffee and stale bagels. Weak display, and is only served until 10am.

No parking. Don't be fooled by what it says on their website, I had to leave my car 7 blocks away while we stayed here which was extremely inconvenient.

Owners are by far the most I unaccommodating and unfriendly people I've ever had to deal with. We rented 3 rooms for our group of 9 and they we're constantly accusing us of breaking everything and blatantly discriminating against us as "spring breakers". DO NO STAY HERE IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 52 and have some form of standards. We spent as little time here as possible and were still asked to leave.
While we were in fact on spring break and on VACATION, we were nothing but respectable to the staff and other guests. They used us as an excuse to blame every little thing that went wrong with their shitty ass establishment. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to anyone I know.

Bottom line, you're better off staying at the hostel on South St then giving this business a single dime.

We were in Key West for two days/one night and just needed a clean, cheap place to crash for the night.  This bed and breakfast fit the bill.  The room (Sunset Room - 2B) that we stayed in was very small, but very clean and comfortable -- thank god for the good air conditioning, it was like a sauna outside.  The pool area was very nice and the staff was helpful in giving suggestions on where to eat for dinner.

Their website says they have paid parking spaces, which is no longer true which was a little disappointing, though we were lucky to find a space around the corner.  Fortunately, we were only there one day and had no need to move the car, this would have been an issue had we needed to find a space more than once.

Just a few blocks from Duval Street and located in the historic district which was very quiet.

Charming outside. Old Key West feel. People working there are great. Now the inside bungalow was a different story. Wires exposed on walls. Furniture was cheep wicker you'd find at a yard sale. Musty smell. Cabinets that were sealed shut with painting several coats of paint. TV so small you had to stand infront of it to view program. Didn't know they could make it so small. Plumbing in the bathroom was just sickening. No drain in tub. You could look straight down into under drainpipes. Caulking yellowed and pealing and smeared all over 1929 bath tub. Toilet was low with bolts rusting at floor level. Sink was bad too. At $269.00 plus tax a nite you'd think they could update the rooms. Oh, I stayed there 2or 3 years ago. No change at all. You'd think the city would check this for fine violations. Anyway, Pirates oh days gone by wouldn't even think about staying here and neither will I in the future. I have this a one star it should be minus 3 stars. Oh breakfast is served after 8:30 am. Everybody is leaving by then. Usual fare with one twist, no fresh bagels. In plastic bags. Coffee so strong it could dead lift 600 lbs. you can bet I'll never ever stay there again. Camping out in the Army was better

This was out second visit to blue parrot inn, we stayed in the Malony room which is a king bed and a attached living room which is almost the size of the room, plenty room for 4 people. They have a small breakfast every morning by the pool, free wifi (this changed from two years ago) and the staff is very friendly and nice, we stayed at there sister property one night (bc blue parrot was full) and Tibby called and had everything arranged for us. It was quiet and close to everything. Highly recommended. The price is good for the value.

Thoughtful staff. Sunblock by tiny pool. Helpful front desk. Beautifully decorated small rooms. Easy to get to know people over breakfast poolside.

We stayed at the" Blue Parrot Inn" few days on July 2014 and we loved it.

The b&b is really close to Duval street but I really recommend you to rent a bike if you want to visit the old town.
We rented our bikes on Truman avenue at A&M rentals ( it was cheap and they had a special price for 24hrs rentals).

Tibby  (I'm not sure about her name...) at the b&b reception, ,was really nice as well as the people at the breakfast.

The bedroom was really small but it was clean and comfortable except the A/C.
The A/C was really old and made so much noise that we had to turn it off during the night (so the bedroom became really hot). TV was really old too but it was really not a problem for us as we didn't use it at all.

I really enjoyed the small swimming pool and the fact that there is beach towels for the clients (there is also sunscreen and some books).

The breakfast was ok (muffins, bagels, yogurts, orange juice, tea, coffee...). There is some tables around the swimming pool for the breakfast, it's a nice place to start the day. Breakfast ends at 10am.

We didn't find a parking spot in front of the b&b but we parked the car on Truman Ave  (luckily we always found some places there).

We also booked a snorkeling session at the reception and we loved it.

Key west is an overpriced city and this b&b is one of the cheapest that we found.
We liked it and we will book it again if we come back to Key West (but maybe a bigger room).

We went to Key West for our honeymoon and this was our first time at a B&B, we loved it. We stayed in the sunrise room, next to the pool, and it was perfect for the two of us. It was a small space, but when there's so much to do you hardly stay in the room. We strongly recommend renting bicycles.

The folks there were very accommodating. The breakfast was on the skimpy side; however, it is due to a Florida State Sanitation law requiring food be individually-wrapped if there is not a commercial kitchen. Parking is scarce and is strictly on the street.

Overall it's a nice place to relax after a day of exploring.

This inn was beautiful. Our room was clean and had b alot of character. The beds were comfortable. The blue parrot is a bit off the beaten path, so rent bikes! The only disappointment was the breakfast. For 150 a night I expected some eggs, pancakes, any kind of protein. They serve the equivalent of a holiday inn breakfast. Bagles, yogurt, and bananas. We went to get breakfast at harpoon Harry's instead.
