I really liked the Doubletree. Yes, it wasn't downtown Key West, but it was a great place to stay. First off...the warm cookies when you check in: SOLD.

The hotel was incredibly clean, the pool was large and had cabanas and tons of seating all around it; not to mention a ton of tables up the stairs by the bar. The pool bar was reasonable and fast service. A bucket of beer was only $20---steal when you're on vacation! They also had live music by the pool and a really nice pool guy who would fill you up with ice water whenever you wanted.

The drivers were SO nice. We were lucky enough to have them drive us directly to the southern most point (which wasn't one of their designated spots) and around the main streets to check out restaurants, etc. The shuttle leaves on the hour every hour and returns at 11:20 from the conch republic restaurant. Obviously most of the nights we missed the 11:20 shuttle, and a cab cost us anywhere from $14-$18 dollars, not too bad.

I would definitely stay here again because everything was perfect down to the food (reallllly tasty and affordable) the rooms (large, separate vanity from bathroom, and SUPER clean) and the overall atmosphere.

I can't wait to get back down to the Keys, and I will definitely check out the doubletree....you should too!

We had a great stay here last week. Our only complaints would be the soft water and inconsistent hours for maid service. The positives completely outweigh these minor negatives. Great shuttle service with very helpful drivers, free buffet breakfast, great poolside service and clean modern rooms.  We would definitely stay there again.

We love the Double Tree Grand Key Resort, Has been great top notch service all weekend. Even with the extra flood of people for fantasy fest, They were still able to accomodate everyone to and from downtown. Great pool area and tiki bar. If you just like sitting out by the pool and relaxing, this is the place to be! Is close to the air port also. Would definitely stay here again!

Location is opposite side of key west where the action is.  Positive is that they run a shuttle to duvall, so no worries of driving.  Negatives, last shuttle is at 1120, and as a hh diamond member, I received no upgrade.  Room was nice, but nothing to rave over.

My family and I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean, except for the coffee maker..the filter holder was dusty ...I swiped the dust from it and had to clean it before I could use it. Looks like it hasn't been used in a long time, nor cleaned. The pool was nice too. The free shuttle to Duval street was great. The best thing about this hotel was the warm chocolate chip cookies that were complimentary on checkin!!

The Double Tree is a great spot for you to explore Key West.

Upon check in, yes cookies :), we were warmly greeted and offered a variety of services without is being overbearing.

Can we bring the bags to your room?
Here is a shuttle service schedule.  (The drivers are great)
If you want mopeds, fishing, para sailing etc we can arrange that for you.
Do you need a dinner reservation in town?

Everyone on the staff is friendly and very helpful.  The rooms are clean and the internet in the room is free.  The pool didn't much used on our trip as the weather wasn't great for it but the pool and bar area have plenty of seating. Gym is good, well equipped and all functional.

Only negative might be the dining options.  Not much of a restaurant and a little on the pricey side for Marie Callenders style and quality food. Thus the one-star off.

I love the giant circular salt water fish tank in the lobby...... very cool!

My mother and I traveled here for a girl's weekend away. The front desk could have used a little more warmth upon our arrival, we felt as though we were an inconvenience to the desk-woman as we checked in. The room we were given also needed additional housekeeping. We noticed trash still in wastebaskets, int he fridge, and under the bed, as well as mildew in the shower and a dirty fridge/kitchen area. When we called down, the night manager, Keith, was very helpful, taking pictures and addressing our concerns. We were relocated a few doors down and found the same mildew in the shower, but the room was in better condition. My mother is a Hilton diamond member, and we were getting an upgrade the following day, so we decided the room was acceptable for the evening. The following day, our brunch server, Ansanbek, made our morning! Even though it was a buffet breakfast, he went out of his way to get us everything we needed. He was courteous and polite, and always there when a plate needed to be removed or a glass refilled. We also received wonderful service from our bellman Fausto when we relocated to the upgraded room. He was patient as we finished packing and cheerfully loaded each piece of luggage with care. Our new room was fabulous! Very well cleaned and with a wonderful view of the pool. In all, a little hospitality goes a long way. Keith, Ansanbek, and Fausto turned some negative situations into wonderful ones.

Incredibly awesome hotel. The staff was INCREDIBLY nice. They almost always open the door for you and they asked me almost every day how my trip was going. But the best thing about double tree is the cookies they give you. THEY ARE DELICIOUS!

Just finished 5 day stay...this is a place that never quite makes it.  Not bad but irritating much too often.  Don't bother paying for a balcony...they are so narrow that the chairs cannot be moved.  Don't worry about quiet...planes overhead and all outside rooms face some sort of parking lot.  Oh and parking...$10/day in an almost empty lot.  Doubletree cookies...but you always have to ask for them.  Food service...acceptable, but expensive and poorly trained servers...our wine was served as we were drinking our cocktails.  I could go on and on...just lots of irritations...nothing major, but constantly annoying.  Otherwise great trip.

This is a very affordable place to stay when visiting Key West.

The staff is extremely helpful and attentive.  The rooms were well stocked with plenty of towels, a mini fridge (not mini bar) to save water, coke, etc for the pool/beach/site seeing.

I would definitely stay at this location again the next time I hit mile marker 0!

I've stayed here previously and enjoyed it but this time the kids were allowed to run up and down the halls screaming at all hours of the night.
We are not some old fuddy-duddies but sometime after midnight (after our second call to the front desk) they were literally yelling at the top of their lungs (multiple) in the halls Seriously?
    The front desk seemed unconcerned.
Sorry Grand Key Resort - you get an "F" on this one.

Stayed at the Doubletree June 28 thru June 30.  Not only was the Desk Staff extremely accommodating, I can not say enough about the Pool Side Bartender.  He showed much calm while having to put up with very rude customers; having retired from the Food & Beverage Industry, I would have had him work for me anytime.

Great hotel. Stayed here this weekend. It is off away from everything, but they run a shuttle that takes you to the Key West hot spots. So its not a problem to get around.
Pool is great lots of room, outdoor bar, and outdoor restaurant in the afternoon.
Restaurant was a above average breakfast buffet. Lunch was very good I got the Ruben one day and a Burger the next. Both were very good, but the Burger was great for a hotel restaurant.
Staff was very helpful and available to answer many questions that I had.
I was treated very well for being a Hilton gold member including some unexpected perks. Overall great experience!!

I spent 2 nights at the Doubletree while on vacation with my friend and cousin and I was pleased with everything this hotel had to offer except for two things:
    1. the room was right by the elevator and made a loud noise every time it was in use.
    2. it was far from Duval Street, and although there's a shuttle, the last one is at 11pm so you have to take an expensive taxi ride back.

That being said, the beds were comfortable, the pool was really nice and there's a bar outside too, the staff was friendly, the cookies were delicious, the rooms were spacious, and Key West is just a beautiful place to visit. I'd stay here again!

Good place, Best service, No beach, free shuttles. Didn't like the view from my room so they upgraded me next day. Tried their best to serve me even after their restaurant closed. Concierge helps you plan tour day. Good pool, great poolside bar, free wifi , newspaper, yada yada... Breaskfast was o'k.  If you are going to a beachside, water view resort, this is definitely not the place. Its away from water, away from downtown. Its very comfortable place to sleep, and enjoy your mornings with exceptional service!

Pricey, for the room I lived in. (parking lot  view, standard king size room) and USD 320 a night.

Shuttle is really impressive, every hour, Can go drinking, downtown etc. Internet was so slow that it beat my throttled ATT 3G. Seriously reminded me of 56 KB Modem days!

My hubby and I always come here when we want to have a quick weekend get  away to Key West.  The hotel is not near Duval but they have a complimentary shuttle that will take you to and from the heart of Key West.  The rooms are always very clean, and the beds are very comfy.  They have a nice pool on the premises with a fully stocked pool bar......clutch!
The only complaint I have is the poor poolside musician that really tries to entertain......but just doesn't.  I would much rather listen to my IPOD!
All in all....fantastic hotel, and very reasonably priced.

I keep coming back here! I think I've stayed at least half a dozen times.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff always VERY helpful and extra friendly.

    - easy parking on site
    - free shuttle to two sites downtown till 11pm
    - big pool and sundeck
    - great bar poolside
    - several different room types
    - great brunch
    - amazing cookies at the front desk
    - far enough away from the madness that is Duval Street
    - quiet
    - access to Smathers beach
    - reasonably priced

    - far enough away from Duval that you can't walk there. The shuttle alleviates some of that, but if you're out past 11 plan on a cab ride
    - rooms can be small
    - pricey food on site

We come here every year for my husband's  B-day, The resort is less then 10min away from the famous Duval Street and other attractions.  When you check in they give you delicious warm cookies... yippee love them. I find the rooms to be very clean and comfy and believe me, you will sleep all night in these comfortable beds. When your ready to hit the town, relax their free shuttle service will take you to the main attraction and you can drink without a worry.  One advise don't checkout until you have a Voodoo Juice in a bucket by the poolside bar. Love It

Overall We will continue to come here every year for my better half's birthday's

This is a Great Property on Key West on the North end ( NEW TOWN) of the Island. They offer an hourly shuttle to and from the Duval Stret area. Duval is the Main Street for Key West attractions. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding rooms on the North end of the Property 269-257 and third and 4th floors as well. Your view is a Roof of an adjacent building and the laundry room on the first floor transmits the sound and vibrations to EVERY room near it. Not fun. Food here is good and resonably priced for a resort setting, but get inot to OLD TOwn if you can, much better.

We used the Double Tree's pool a few times.  For families it seems great as there were a lot of kids around.  For our group that was a negative as the pool became a giant playground.  The pool is huge with tons of lounge chairs and towels.  We eat lunch at the pool bar once and the food was good.  I had the after-hours breakfast sandwich and I liked it.  I just wish the eggs were a little bit runnier.   The service was great and our waiter provided us with some free cookies.

Just stayed at this property and would return, here our experience. Day 1- late evening arrival,so ate at hotel restaurant. Food was not Hilton quality. Day 2: after being awaken at 5am by rowdy kids and yelling parents above us, front desk manager comped us breakfast for our entire 5 day stay. Great breakfast. Tried the restaurant again the third nite, again not good. Fourth nite, excellent dinner,Hilton quality, and their best server Vivian. Gate at pool needs repair, very loud banging noise, hard to snooze out their. Poolside waitress with attitude was useless. We had to get our own drinks. Problem at outside bar that had a very strong vomit smell, which the bartender kept apologizing for. Sliding patio door in room needs to be replaced, or tracks lubed. It sounded like a train on tracks each time people used them.

I spent the weekend down here with my medical school while putting on our yearly Florida Keys Health Fair.  This hotel is awesome!  Here are a few key points.

    1) The beds are some of the most comfortable that I've had in a hotel.
    2) My school took complete advantage of the free shuttle service to Duval Street.  The last shuttle leaves Duval Street at 11:30 or something, though, so you need to take a taxi if you stay out later.
    3) The shampoo and conditioner actually smell good and work well on my hair (I'm picky about complementary shower goodies).
    4) Free warm/gooey chocolate chip cookies.  Don't look at the calorie count on the back of the bag.  If you ask, the staff are nice enough to give you a few extra cookies (instead of just one at check-in).

We'll be back again next year!

This is nice little hotel.  We spent a few nights here during our visit to Florida and had a great time.  Comfy beds, a nice pool, and a great breakfast buffet (free to Hilton Honors members with appropriate status) were some of the highlights.  The pool bar was good too--fast, friendly service and tasty cocktails. I also liked the free shuttle to/from downtown, made getting there and back easy and let me have a drinks with dinner. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

On the expensive side but the pool is beautiful and most rooms have great views of the pool area.. Staff is friendly and wow! those cookies are amazing! I've come here three times and each time it has been a really enjoyable experience. The rooms are a bit pricey at $200 for 2 queen beds, but they're great accomadations. There is a shuttle service to downtown key west that comes frequently, but if you're staying past 1230am? get a cab. Gym is nice with free weights too. Good place, if you have the money.

I feel bad complaining given that we stayed free on points, but future Yelpers should beware...

The internet did not work once during my six day stay.

The housekeeping staff is wicked loud very early in the morning.

There seem to be screaming kids everywhere (and the walls between rooms seem paper thin).

My $90 massage was the weakest I've ever had.

That said, the breakfast buffet is nice and the free shuttle service downtown is key considering the location of the hotel.  I won't be returning.

Planning:  making my reservation for our stay at this resort was done through American Express and as I have grown to expect - effortless.

Checking In:  finding the resort was easy thanks for Garmin and parking was not bad.  There were a lot of places to park.  We entered the lobby and stood waiting to be greeted by someone at the front desk for about a minute as they were helping other guests.  I was then greeted by an employee that I had somewhat of a hard time understanding.  None the less he took care of us and gave us our cookies.  The only feedback I would give the location for the checkin process is this:  I was there and I had several questions but felt that the employees taking care of me were more concerned with answering the phone and answering the questions for the folks on the phones rather than the customer standing in front of them.  I was not told that I had to pay for parking - I found out about that upon check out when I asked for the final bill.  I asked questions regarding my Hilton Honors program and received no answer - was simply given a piece of paper.

Our Stay:  we stayed at this location for two nights.  The first night we visited the pool and the hot tub.  Both were great and it is open until 11:00 PM, awesome.  The rooms are not bad, there are some areas where the sinks have been sealed with a color silicone that is clearly the wrong color.

We were staying in two rooms for a total of six people.  The hotel gave us two rooms adjacent to each other and with connecting doors, this was great.

There were more than enough towels given and the beds were comfortable.  The room was clean when we got there.  The ceiling fan in the one of the rooms could use some balancing.

Checkout:  no issues here, just the "SURPRISE" you have to pay for parking.

I gave this hotel an "average" rating because of the lack of attention or making us feel like welcome guests at checkin and the surprise charge for parking.  By the way the charge for parking for my fellow review readers is $10.

Even with this experience I would visit this location again.

We spent two nights here.  Super clean, which is #1 to me (hence the 5 stars).  Nice pool, great staff, comfortable rooms, pool room, and regular shuttle service to the madness they call Duval Street!  :)

Regarding the shuttle service:  super convenient hourly service until 11:25 PM.  If a shuttle is full, another is right behind to accommodate you.  In fact, one driver waited with us to ensure the other shuttle arrived and we wouldn't have to wait the additional hour.  That alone impressed me beyond imagination!

I will happily return here with the family, as this is the perfect location if you have Tweens and want to be a bit away from the crazy ( yet enviable ) drinking scence.

TIP:  discounts for military, government, and firefighters make this a "reasonable" option.

One of the best hotel staff I've ever encountered at a hotel.  Ever.

My wife and I visited for our anniversary, and the staff made every effort to ensure we had a great week.

    Couple of notes:
    - Take advantage of breakfast, not cheap, but the options are very tasty and filling.  Starts the day off right.
    - Absolutely learn the shuttle schedule, helps you get around KW with ease.
    - Don't be afraid to ask the staff any questions, if there's a need you have, they'll find a way to meet it.

Also, they have arrangements with some of the restaurants around KW, the concierge/reception staff will help you get a reservation if need be.

I can't recommend this place enough.  Yes, it's away from Duval and etc, but it's only a 2x4 mile island, you're not THAT far away.  Enjoy.

Everything is just a little off. The shower liner was put in backwards ,so the floor got soaked. The staff used the same elevators as the guests, including the cleaning crews. They had shuttles to Duval St.  but the last one at 11:20 was way too early for anyone wanting to have a late night. The bar closed by 11:00 pm, so there was noting to do when you got back. Down by the pool was hit or miss with the music playing. Very limited TV stations at bar and in rooms. I do have to say that Mel the concierge was very helpful., and Michael the bartender/ server was the best. He was helpful with tips on where to go for happy hours and restaurants. Mel and Michael are the ones that made our stay enjoyful. The air conditioning in the rooms was noisy. The room cleaning was spotty, some of the staff couldn't understand English so communication was difficult. Twice in a week we had wait in the lobby for our room to be cleaned.

The rooms were clean, staff friendly and restaurant food good, but pricey. The shuttle was a bonus,

Nothing about this hotel blew me away, and the location leaves  a lot to be desired. Nothing is in walking distance and there is a charge to park a car, for eh price of these rooms I suspect you could actually stay in a smaller hotel actually in the downtown, tourist area.

If you're looking to be away from the night scene, tourists and people and want a hotel that feels fairly luxurious, this is a good choice, but it doesn't
To have very much of the personality you'd find at other key west hotels.

My Hilton experiences are so consistently positive! I got a great deal on a king suite here for our recent Key West trip and I was a little nervous about the fact that it's not in the downtown are. It turned out to be great that it was removed from the chaos of Duval. They have a shuttle that runs every hour until 11pm so you don't have to worry about finding parking downtown as long as you are kind of flexible with your schedule.

When we first arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the warm cookies and the positive attitude of the staff. The amenities were modern and well maintained. I would definitely recommend the Doubletree to friends visits Key West!!!

Stayed here Memorial weekend. It was very nice, spacious, clean, great pool, drinks and breakfast in the morning. Everything was fantastic. Although as a tip for anyone who buys drinks at the poolside bar, make sure you double check your bill before you check out bc when you order, you just give them your room number, so a bunch of frat boys "mistakenly" (and I don't think it was a mistake) tried to put there drinks in my tab. So definitely keep an eye I that.

My husband and I came down on 7/22/14 for one night.  The front desk were awesome and very helpful. The Bellhops not so much, when we approached the hotel on 7/22/14, they opened the front doors. At the front desk  we asked if we could have help with our bags.  They called and asked the bellhop to help us.  We waited and nobody showed up, the front desk started to get busy so we went out and brought in our 5 bags in ourselves.  The next day we called down to have a bellhop to help us with our bags, nobody showed up to our room.  So went down with our bags to check out, but asked if they could hold our bags for a couple of hours to have lunch, they said yes and they called to the bellhop "Nick" to come over to get our bags, he just looked at us and went to the door leading to the storage area for luggage.  They called to him again, he ignored us.  My husband went over and asked Nick and his co-worker another young guy to store our luggage they told him to bring it over to them.  So my husband and I had to drag our bags to the entrance of the luggage storage area and as we approached we notice they were  both on their cell phones texting.  After we got back from lunch we asked if they could help us with our luggage to our car, they didn't answer us, they just placed the bags outside the entrance of the luggage storage area and left them there with us.  So we had to take them all to the car with us.   After we got to our car my husband indicated that he wished he hadn't  tip them before he gave them our claim ticket for our bags.   I was so upset that he tipped them for nothing.  Nick and his co-worker needs retraining in customer service.  I don't expect to be pampered but if one of your guest needs help with their luggage, help them, especially when they ask for help.  Very disappointed in the beginning and end.

-Free WIFI (because we were part of a wedding party)
-Great location away from Duval's nightly HOT MESS of people
-FREE shuttle to the airport and back
-FREE shuttle to Duval every hour until 11pm (top and bottom of Duval)
-For late check outs there is a bathroom to shower in
-All the staff is very friendly
-They have an iguana that lives on the property and makes daily visits to the pool area
-The breakfast buffet is the best deal in town! SOOO MUCH FOOD
-A one man steel drum band on FRI/SAT

-The latest check out is 1pm...even if the hotel is not busy
-In the 6 nights we were there, not once was our room cleaned. No, the DND sign was not on the doorknob
-The pool had a daily film of a cloudy substance, and was not skimmed...GROSS
-The rooms need to be updated
-PRICEY! We paid over $200 a night, but in a few weeks Fantasy Fest starts and prices can triple!
-Not in walking distance to anything other than a convenience store around the corner
-A cab down to Duval can cost about $20

Ok, this singing of the unsung hero will be directed towards a staffer here at the Doubeltree who actually no longer works there.  But he's left an interesting legacy, in the form of a nightly ritual that I've never before experienced.
His name is Rob.  And Rob draped the fish tank in black.
Let me explain.  The main atrium at this hotel is well-lit, and it has a huge almost two-story-tall cylindrical aquarium.  All the happy little fishes were doing their thing, and on display, when I checked in at about 8:30pm.
Then, en route to the gym and some laps a couple of hours later, I saw that the huge aquarium was draped in a black shroud.  I inquired.  A hotel staffmember explained that "the fishies are sleeping.  It's lights out for them."
They darken the aquarium and protect them from the blaze of lights in the main hall, so that the little pesce can catch some Z's!  Fish sleep.  Not with eyes closed and in beds, but apparently their motor systems relax and they still move, just very slowly, as if they're sleepwalking, or sleep-swimming.
And the darkness helps with their circadian rhythm.  Who knew they even had circadian rhythms!
That black cloth is certainly a first world phenomenon, but you have to admit, it's remarkably thoughtful.  All God's creatures, great and small, right?
So I asked whose idea this was.  They told me it was Rob's brainchild, but that he'd left the hotel.  So, Rob, attaboy.  I'm surprised PETA hasn't sought you out and given you the Hotel Staffer of the Year Award.

Great hotel! The staff is beyond accommodating and friendly. The food and drink prices are more reasonable than other places around. The pool is wonderful with poolside service, entertainment and a great atmosphere. Would absolutely stay here again!

i love the hilton hotel lines and this doubletree was a great value for the money

i used my HH points and being a diamond member there are plenty of perks but the main was the free breakfast buffet

the rooms were immaculate and i had great view of the pool. the shuttle service is convenient but some of shuttle drivers were kinda greedy for tips which is not uncommon to that travel destination unfortunately

we had dinner at the hotel one night and our waitress, maria, was incredibly patient and very helpful. the meal was very tasty and i expecially enjoyed the conch fritters
the concierge was very friendly and helped get us to doing things we were interested in and finding discounts.

the pool was great! warm and had a salt water taste. great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing!

    highly recommended :D

Reserved this hotel through Expedia and I canceled it more than a week prior to their deadline date so I wouldn't be charged. I ended up getting charged a partial credit. I called them to find out what happened and they said they have a different policy. This is very unprofessional because nowhere does it reflect that they have a different policy then Expedia. Their customer service sucks they did not try to assist me immediately now I have to wait to hear back from them. This is unacceptable. I will definitely never stay at this hotel! They need to state their policies so this doesn't happen.

Stayed here for one night with my family and my dog. We did not eat at the restaurant, so my review is not based at all on food.
We were pleased with the room. No complaints there. Everything was clean and functioning well. We were a little worried that a dog friendly hotel may have an unpleasant smell, but there was none.
There wasn't anything particularly special about the service (that we could see, since we didn't spend much time there) or the general experience, but they did give us delicious cookies when we checked in and a doggy treat for my dog.
I would recommend the place (for a good price) and I would stay there again.

Stayed here for one night.  We arrive at 11 pm and checked in quickly.  The room was nice and everything was clean.  Check out the next morning at 10 am was quick and easy as well.  The price was a little steep but for Key West it was on par.  I liked being  slightly removed from the craziness of Duval St.  Didn't use any other amenities but for an overnight, it was good.

For Hilton Diamond Members this is a great Hilton to stay at. There is no resort fee, free parking for Diamond ($20 Value), and two free breakfasts for Diamond ($14 value each).

For everybody else, it is a nice hotel. The staff is great. They will tell you all you need to know about the island. Also, there is a shuttle that takes you all around the island to the areas you need to go.

All and all, for the value, this is a great spot.

Our group of 12 arrived for the Key West Half Marathon combined with long weekend vacation.  Check in was very smooth and rooms were decent.  We were hoping that the shuttle would have special hours for a large event that started at 7:00 but they did not.  Shuttle drivers were pleasant and very informative, especially day driver.

Disappointment and rude staff on Sunday night changed what most likely would have been a good rating.   We came back on the 10:20 shuttle from Duval St area and some of our group went to the Tiki Bar.  When the group laughed out loud, they were quickly told to be quiet by what turned out to be a very nasty woman who came out to help clean and close the bar.  My sister and I were sitting away from the others, at a table behind the bar area, quietly drinking a glass of wine that we brought with us.  The woman came over and told us that we could not drink our wine there and we had to leave.  We asked if there was another place that we could go to and she told us that the only place we could drink our wine was in our room or on our balcony.  She went back to the bar area and continued to give the others a hard time even though they were then quietly finishing their drinks.
We have traveled a lot, often with this same group of family and friends.  We have never stayed at a hotel where would could not find a quiet room or corner to enjoy a glass of wine and some conversation with each other without squeezing into one of our many rooms.

Our thoughts are when you are in a town like Key West, and your hotel is very far from the town and your last shuttle is at 11, you may expect that some people will want to come back and still socialize for at least a short time.  The gentlemen at the front desk were very nice, as were the shuttle bus drivers (especially the day driver) but the woman who came out to the bar at the end and was very rude does not belong to be in a business where customer relations are important.  I am guessing that she is the same person mentioned on a different review site (at least I hope Doubletree by Hilton does not employ two people such as her).  While the hotel is decent, the price is high for being so far from everything, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who may want to stay up past 11:00 on their vacation.

This place is nice. Check in was good they gave us cookies and when I asked for more they gave us more. I've seen cleaner hotels. The elevator was so slow. The restaurant was a rip off, we had the breakfast buffet for 13.99 a person and also the 20% gratuity was added to the check for some dude that just brought us water. I'm all for tipping but 20 percent is a bit much for a buffet. Some idiot pulled the fire alarm at 3 am. I know it's not the hotels fault but I have 2 little kids so it sucked. The pool area was nice. It is about the farthest hotel from Downtown. It's not too far to smathers beach. You cant really walk anywhere but they have a free shuttle taking you places.

My wife and I booked this place on Priceline for our vacation and the place was awesome! The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and the parking was free! Also, the shuttle service to Duval Street was very convenient being as there is very little free parking there. Great place to stay if you're in Key West.

Hotels in Key West aren't cheap but I found this to be one of the least expensive hotels to stay in, but I guess that could be due to location. The location isn't ideal if you want to be walking distance to Duval Street. But there is a shuttle that runs every hour that drops you off right at Duval Street. The shuttle drivers were awesome and so full of useless information. The one driver (wish I could remember his name) almost made me feel like I was on a tour and provided such great info about the island as we drove over to Duval. You pretty much need to take the shuttle, a cab, ride a bike or drive to anything. Our room was clean. The pool was very nice and big and I didn't find it to be that crowded. Good place to stay if you are Hilton Diamond members since you will get free parking and two free breakfasts.

This place is decent enough - rooms are mostly quiet (we could hear the kids through the walls, but they were thankfully quiet during the sleepy time), and the beds are comfortable. The parking is a little lacking, but you are in Key West, so I guess it's expected. The pool area is fine, though I ended up just heading into the Waldorf for my pool fun (as they have an adult-only pool - need I say more?). The shuttle to downtown is a little painful - it's super full, and the drivers aren't the friendliest people I've ever met. Plus they don't run enough, and that is annoying as the cab ride back was about $30. I guess you save the money being out away from the action, but you'll make up for it in cab fees if you aren't careful. It's not cool to drink and drive, people - so take the shuttle, a cab, or stay closer in town. Know this going in, and you'll be good. Overall decent place to stay, but if you can swing a good deal, I'd suggest staying closer to town.

I have always been a loyal Hilton Honors member. The Doubletree is an excellent choice that maintains an upscale, beach theme of Key West without breaking your budget or your wallet.

The hotel provides free wifi and the best is the free shuttle that runs at all hours to take guests into downtown Key West for the night out. No need to worry about cabs or driving. Very friendly staff and comfortable and relaxing accommodations, I would certainly recommend this and will be coming back. Only caveat is that is on the opposite side of the island where all the fun is....but that's OK because, hello free shuttle to take you there!!

I have been a Hilton honors member for years, and stayed at many different hilton brands all over the country. Always a good experience, but The staff here in Key West was the best. The two gentleman at the front desk made me feel welcomed and went above and beyond. I received free parking, extra breakfast tickets, upgraded room, and extra cookies, hell yes! They suggested places to go, things to do and how to get around.

The hotel itself was nice- clean rooms and a nice view overlooking the pool. The pool area has a circular bar and a hot tub all in the same area. I wish it was right on the ocean, but the popular beach was about 1/4 mike away. My only complaints were the bartender (no personality and my mojito was disgusting) and the pool. The pool and the area are great but the pool felt like a hot tub! It was not at all helpful to try and cool down. I mean I didn't come all the way down to Key West just to sit in the pool, but still. I would definitely return.

Great hotel. Grounds are kept nice, pool area was nice and because the BF is a HHonors member they upgraded us to a junior suite overlooking the pool which wS phenomenal. Only issue was the lack of staff servicing the pool area. We were here on a very busy weekend the hotel was max capacity and they only had 1 waitress servicing the entire pool area. I felt bad for her as she was getting very overwhelmed but still did her best. The restaurant the next morning seem to have had the same issue. Way more people than they were used to. The shuttle service to downtown was phenomenal and saved a lot of money and time for us. Overall great stay!

This hotel is a little off the beaten path in terms of proximity to the beach or the happening downtown Duval area, though they do have free shuttles once an hour (they get full though so get there early).  They have a beautiful pool area which is superb for just sitting and relaxing by - the bar is right there (waitress service too) and there are cabanas to get out of the sun, a changing area and showers.  The food here is really a bit disappointing and I strongly recommend that you go elsewhere to eat - there are so many great restaurants in Key West.

Absolutely loved our stay here at Doubletree.  The room was spacious, the pillows comfortable and the bed divine.  The only bad thing about their rates is that they charge $10/night for self parking in an outside parking lot.  Not sure why.
THeir breakfast buffet is $14 but is worth it.  WHat a great selection of eggs, meat, fruit, cereals, breads, rolls, bagels, waffles, etc.  It was worth the money to have this great breakfast with great service.  Good job Hilton.  Great resort.

This hotel is out on its own away from the hustle and bustle of Duval but it's clean and has a resort style pool and non tiki bar pool bar which is a nice break.

Friendly check in.  Good value for gold points compared to The Reach or Casa Marina which wanted 3 times the points and while on the beach not worth 120k Vs 40k per night?

Updating post check out...front desk has no authority u was told several times to come back and ask when manager arrived. Shuttle driver forgot beach stop on last day making us miss our reserved paddle time so we waited for boards and lost an hour.  In the other hand Cookie man Bob was the only driver who had any personality. Get on his shuttle.

Nice hotel, nicer than the more expensive Downtown Miami Hilton we stayed at later. Since I am a Hilton Honors member I was upgraded to a Junior suite, which included a refrigerator but no microwave and a balcony. The next morning I was surprised to be charged $15 each for two of the buffet breakfasts. I thought it was free....There is a convenience store nearby where I bought beer and soft drinks. The drive to Duval Street is not far at all, so the hotel is a good deal.

This is a great hotel to stay in. It is far away from all the madness of Duval street but close enough to partake in all the festivities Key West has to offer. This DoubleTree has a very friendly staff and offers complimentary shuttle service to Duval street every hour until 11PM. This hotel is decorated with typical Key West flare and architecture. They offer complimentary wi-fi and breakfast (buffet).

Of course, upon check-in you are welcomed with the famous DoubleTree by Hilton warm chocolate chip cookie. The lobby has a gigantic circular fish tank which is lovely to see. Behind this fish tank, you will notice it leads you to the pool area which has a bar directly to your left.

Our first floor room had a balcony and pool view. Perfect. Loved everything about this hotel. Would recommended it to absolutely anyone who doesn't mind being that far from Duval street. Certainly not within walking distance from Duval street but we did not care as the shuttles are free to take.

Really beautiful property!  I had just come from staying at a Hampton inn (also a Hilton Property) in Key Largo.  I had a great experience there so I was expecting more of the same at this place.  I wasn't disappointed.   The room was lovely, great toiletries, and the towels must have been brand new because they were like heaven!  They were huge and super fluffy!!  I ate at the bar from the restaurant menu and had great service from the bartender.  The food was delicious.  I got a Cuban and shrimp cocktail.  I just didn't feel like fighting the crowd at Duvall street to eat.  It was a good choice!  I didn't take the shuttle to Duvall but it sounds like yet another great amenity.  I didn't give 5 stars bc I couldn't see why parking was 10.00....i parked my own car on the hotel property, which isn't shared with any other businesses.

This is a nice resort, quiet, but far from pretty much everything there is to do in key west.  They do have a shuttle that runs very frequently to the beach, Duval st., the airport and butterfly gardens.  That was a great convenience!!  If you rent scooters or a car, it's no big deal.  We rode bikes, but the hotel is about 6 miles from all the fun downtown, so not exactly a quick trip if you are going back and forth.

Perks include the great poolside bar, heated pool, and super-friendly staff.

A great stay for families, or those looking for a quieter Key West experience!

Beautiful hotel! Only stayed here for a night but I would definitely come again. Although it felt like we were further from Duval st. Than we would have liked, there's a shuttle every hour that brings you. The bartender wouldn't serve one of my friends (who was not being obnoxious, as she had only had 2 beers earlier) but served a guy next to us that was completely annihilated. That was a bit irritating & frustrating.

Beds were cozy (queens) & room service was great. Caeser salad was delicious. Just the right proportions of lettuce, cheese, dressing & croutons.

We went down to the pool our second day & got drinks at the bar. The bartender had changed by this point & she was very sweet & accommodating. By the way I love a good mimosa by a pool. There were also little cabanas by the with curtains for privacy, if need be.
