We stayed here for our Key West honeymoon and it is a nice place. There are two homes which have been converted to a BnB style. We stayed at the Dewey house and I paid for an oceanfront room. However the room we got was blocked by the restaurant in front of the hotel and I was not happy about it. If you have to stand tiptoe at the edge of your balcony and crane your neck about 240 degrees to see the ocean - IT IS NOT AN OCEANFRONT room.

No complaints otherwise, breakfast was ok and the afternoon tea is good to satisfy the 4:00 pm munchie call. The beach access is convenient and it is good to have access to 3 pools near the property.

I stayed at the Dewey House over New Years Eve.  It was gorgeous and the service was fantastic.  They even left hats and noise makers in our room for New Years Eve!

So if you've never been to Key West, as I hadn't,  don't expect five star anything its just not that kind of place.  It reminded me of an old beach town with a different pace.  Slow and fun. Having said that, the La Mer was cute, clean and probably one of the most luxurious parts of my Key West experience.  Great service and very comfortable.  Also everything was walking distance from our hotel.

This was the most fabulous experience to kick off our Florida vacation. We took the red-eye from LA and arrived around 5am eastern time, made the drive from Miami to Key West like zombies and bless these folks at Southermost, we must have looked like death clinging on to the front desk for mercy because they let us check in 4 hours early. Randall the innkeeper showed us to our room and we promptly passed out to the soothing sounds of waves and light tropical rain.

In a nutshell, the room was luxurious and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast and tea delicious and appetizing. We loved having access to the two other hotels in the Southernmost collection, which we used for the pool and dining for lunch. Also the La Mer and Dewey house is adults only so you don't have to worry about getting woken up by screaming demon children in the morning.

They do great complimentary activities for hotel guests, we did the beer school which was amazing, basically just a few simple questions about beer trivia and lots and lots of free pitchers and socializing with fellow guests. If you are the kind of people who like to have privacy and relaxation while making a few "vacation friends" this is a great place for you. Boomer and Allie the Activities staff do a great job wrangling the drunks and making it a fun environment for everyone.

Location is great too, on the quiet end of Duval and Southern St, but very walkable to the other end of Duval and Mallory Square.

This was probably the nicest bed and breakfast on Key West, I can't wait to come back.

No that's not what you did.  First of all Megan you didn't call anybody, some guy called and asked if he could have my keys so he could move the car.  I said yes, if he could produce a document accepting liability for the car since he was not on my rental agreement.  I never heard back.

Secondly, I saw at least 5 babies swimming in that pool.  None of them had swim diapers on.  And finally, your gate stands wide open.  I was there for 4 days and not once did I ever see anyone asked to show a key, nor was I asked to show a key at any time.

Sounds like you need to spend a little more time on your property managing people and less on yelp responding to posts.

The facility location and especially the service are top shelf. From your arrival (you are given a tour of the facility - one on one)  to the time you leave the attention to detail is
    very obvious.

We were there Feb 6th thru the 9th.
