    FABULOUS!

This hotel could not have been better.  Adorable rooms with a great little "room on the beach" feel.  A great restaurant/bar with a variety of tasty treats.  I didn't get to see the whold cabaret show, but one of the performers sang during dinner and was terrific.  (This is, just for those who can't quite figure it out, a cross-dressed cabaret... shh! don't tell!)

The staff was incredibly accomodating and pleasant.  and so were the hotel cats.

An added plus.  There were no Spring Breakers.  I don't know if that is a La Te Da policy or not - but it sure made my stay that much nicer.

now if they can just track down that dang rooster that woke my hung-over butt up every morning at the crack of dawn all would be well in the world.

Not only would we come back to Key West, but we will definitely stay here again. The outside bar is amazing: great locals, friendly bartenders and overlooks Duval St. for perfect people watching. The rooms are clean and have all necessary amenities (tv, ac, hair dryer). These aren't luxury accommodations, but staying here is a great value. We were out and about each day and really only used our room for sleeping, showering and the occasional day time nap (it happens). The price for the room was significantly less than other hotels on Duval that we heard were not nearly as nice. The staff calls each other family, and we felt like great friends by the time we left. La Te Da calls themselves an 'adult' hotel and we understand why: Happy Hour, smoking is allowed everywhere, a clothing optional sun deck and Randy Roberts' Cabaret show. Included with the room was a complimentary breakfast- not to be confused with a continental breakfast. You pick up a voucher at the front desk every morning and have the choice of 4 delicious meals. I could not tear myself away from the hearty 'American' (eggs, bacon, toast). Starting the day with a wonderful breakfast and a full stomach was incredible. (side note: on my birthday, I ordered off the regular menu and got the Blackstone Benedict which was absolutely delicious.) The pool area is shaded with palm trees and overgrown, but in a beautiful way. You can also go up to the roof deck area and lay out there for more private sun bathing. They have entertainment at the inside piano bar every night. The crowd ranges from 20's to 60's and everyone is super friendly and outgoing. We look forward to coming back and visiting again.

Martini good. Service well... Bartender just took my drink away half left while I was still drinking it. Quaint place though.

The first thing we noticed about La Te Da is how run down it looks close-up. But the second thing we noticed is the friendliness of the entire staff which almost made up for the first thing. We felt like we had the place to ourselves for the first few days but then a large party descended and all of the pool chairs were taken and the conversations grew very loud. The hotel is small, so if you happen not to like the crowd, you are stuck. Oh, and if you are looking for a LGBT friendly place -- this hotel is defintely for you -- except in off season when 90% of guests are decidedly hetero.

This place rules.  The rooms are beautiful and great for the price, and they surround the pool.  Enormous comfortable bed.  Cost included a sit-down breakfast that exceeds anything I have ever seen at a hotel.  White linen tablecloth, fancy coffee, a full meal.  And you are outside.  In Key West.

There are three bars and a restaurant or two here.  We spent a lot of time in the main bar in the front and the bartender was awesome.  Very friendly, gave us a ton of free shit and mixed up all kinds of great drinks.  He even told me where to get a good haircut on the island.  I will never stay anywhere else in Key West.

Stayed here for our wedding. My mom loved this place so much. She bought a shirt the day we left. The rooms are homey, and tropical.

The property is beautiful, but the pool is not very welcoming because it's right next to the restaurant.

Would stay again? Yes, because we stayed there for our wedding. Yes, even if we didn't stay there for our wedding.

I love everything about this place.
The rooms are absolutely beautiful (& clean) and you really can't beat the rates - definitely better than anything else on Duval.

Both my hubs and I went to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary and we had *such* an amazing time hanging out at the outdoor bar with all the extremely friendly bartenders and every morning at our complimentary breakfast, which consisted of the BEST eggs benedict I have ever had in my entire life.

We really love Key West and everything about it so we visit often and plan on staying at the La Te Da each and every time. I would recommend it to anyone with my eyes closed!

I have lived in Key West for 9 years now and there are many wonderful places to eat, drink, dance and enjoy our beautiful weather..... But at The 'Da (as we locals call it) you can do it all and still be on Duval in the middle of all the action.

While they have amazing food, spectacular cabaret and dazzling live entertainment at the piano bar (Deborah and Patrick are sublime), you should never miss Tea Dance every Sunday from 4-6. There is a different theme every week and as always the bartenders will take wonderful care of you (lovely to see Gina in her Gems.... You will have to go to figure that one out)!

Rooms are clean and maintained.  The food and bar are handy. Only downside is it's at the far end of Duval street from most of the activity.

We love this place.  We've been to key west three times and are planning our wedding down there.  We have recommended this place to our guests and have stayed here when planning the wedding.  The staff is always friendly, and on the phone making the reservations they are great, and also very friendly.
the location is perfect, right on Duval street, but on the South end where it gets a little quieter, so you can stay here and be a part of the action or recede back and relax in the comfortable rooms.  My fiance is picky when it comes to beds, and he says this place has a very comfortable bed.

We stayed here last weekend for my 50th birthday.  We got the last room with a Jacuzzi tub!  The hotel is quaint and the staff and bartenders  are very nice. :)  My only disappointment is that they quit serving the Champagne Brunch on Sunday mornings.  They used to have such a big spread...

Great boutique hotel located right on Duval Street where everything happens.  The staff here is wonderful.  All are so friendly and willing to help out in any way.  They have wonderful rooms with very comfortable beds and strong showers.  They bar is situated outside close to the street where you can have a drink and people watch.

Nice pool which I didn't have a chance to go into which i;m regretting but theres so much to do in Key West it was hard to find the time.

I have complementary breakfast everyday which consist of three choices: american breakfast, french toast or fruit salad.  Comes with juice and coffee.

I will definitely come back on my next trip to Key West.

Nice room; Spacious, Clean and no funny hotel smell
Nice staff; everyone (except the bartender) was friendly, warm and kind
Great breakfast; sit down style, I tried all 3 options and loved all 3 of them. (and I'm hard to please, I'm picky about my hotel breakfasts trust me)
Nice location; just inches from the strip, plenty of partying and shopping near by.
I will Definitely stay here again next time I'm in Key West

    EDIT:
Stayed again in May 2014. Breakfast wasn't as good. I tried all 3 options again and thought they were all 3 just ok. Howeve I will continue staying here whenever in Key West.

Absolutely love LTD.  The first time my wife and I visited Key West, we stayed at the Marriott on the north end of the island.  On our most recent trip, we decided to stay on Duval and picked LTD since we liked the bar so much the last time we were there.

For me, their bartender, Tonto, is what makes this place my favorite.  Always great conversation and a lot of fun hanging with her no matter if it is day or night.  My cousin and I enjoyed our night caps shooting the breeze with her.

The hotel is actually pretty nice as well.  The room was a good size.  This isn't a place where everything is modern and new.  It is an old building with slightly dated furnishings.  Don't get me wrong though, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.  I love that it is on a quiet end of Duvall street.  For the money, you can't go wrong.

We had a fabulous experience at La Te Da. The rooms were absolutely charming - unique, with their own little quirks of character. This isn't a tradition hotel/motel, which was the primary reason we stayed. If you want a cookie-cutter, traditional hotel room, stay elsewhere. But if you want the truly experience the spirit and culture of Key West, La Te Da is the place for you. The service is outstanding, the rooms are clean, and the entertainment is very "Key West." No where else in Key West offers this level of experience at this price-point. The only thing I wish this place had was a hot tub...maybe next year?

We stayed in Room 19, which featured two queen beds and a handicap-accessible shower. We originally wanted one of the luxury rooms, but this was all they had left. The bathroom is in excellent condition, however, it is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding/folding closet-like door and there is no shower curtain or door. As I stated before, the room has its unique quirks which is to be expected when staying at charming places like this. The door opened up into the outdoor dining area and bar and featured a cute little patio set that we took full advantage of. We drank our own beer while people watching and when we wanted a cocktail, we walked over to the bar and ordered from the friendly cocktail waitress.

Top it all off with the complimentary made-to-order breakfast, La Te Da offers an enchanting experience. What we saved in the price of the room, we paid back on their pricey, but delicious dinner and drink menus. Do some pre-drinking in your room or on your patio, and you'll have yourself a very affordable place to stay and have fun!

La Te Da is an absolute hidden gem on Duval Street. Besides the atmosphere, the staff makes you feel at home and are absolutely the friendliest with an exception of some with some extra sass. It's hit or miss. The front desk and Tonto are two staff members who will make your stay worth it. Blood Mary's and Breakfast are a must-have on your stay.

My husband and I stayed here (along with the rest of the bridal party) for a wedding this past weekend. We LOVED it.

If you are looking for tons of amenities or an upgraded/modern resort, this is not the place for you. But if you love Key West charm, a great location and service with a smile, I definitely recommend giving La Te Da a try.

Chris and Eric at the front desk were AMAZING. Totally above and beyond and so accommodating. The restaurant and bar staff were super nice, breakfast each morning was awesome (and complimentary!), the La Te Da Limeade was a group favorite and the pool was the perfect retreat between functions.

It felt like no matter where we had to be we were always within 1 mile, which was awesome as we walked everywhere. There was live music in the evenings and overall we had a great experience. Highly recommend!

Love me the La Te Da!

Reviews for places you love are tricky. Do you tell the world so they can experience the awesome or do you keep the tip to yourself? After all, there are only so many rooms at the La Te Da and I would hate to cause a sell out when *I* want to come.

Fortunately for you, I am in a generous mood! :)

This place flat out rules!  The staff is amazing both in service and friendliness. The included breakfast is fantastic and eating outside with the warm breeze is a great way to start your day in Key West.

You must catch either Randy Roberts or Christopher Peterson...both their shows are fab-u-lous.  And, each will stay after the show for autographs and photos.

After the show, go back downstairs and enjoy Dave Bootle or Debra and Patrick in the  bar. Super fun!

Can't wait to go back to La Te Da...my home in Key West!

This was my first time coming to key west and I fell in love. I had an amazing time at la te da. Location is everything. The rooms are clean and the staff is so friendly. We had a room right by the pool and I loved it. Breakfast is free and delicious and the portions are also good. I can not wait to come back to la te da.

Have been to Key West five times and have been to La Te Da for the Cabaret, which is amazing, but had never stayed at the hotel.  Made reservations for a last minute long weekend for my Birthday with my best friend - Won't stay anywhere else!  Bartenders, wait staff, food, entertainment - everyone was GREAT

Top Notch Customer Service from everyone from the initial phone call for a reservation up until they called the cab for my departure to the airport.  The staff makes you feel welcome and you can see they genuinely all get along and enjoy making everyone feel welcome.

As a business owner myself, I was extremely impressed to see the owner visible and interacting with his staff and the patrons.  The entire staff made my Birthday Weekend such a great experience I can't wait to return to Key West so that I can stay at La Te Da Again :)

We got lucky and got the last room available at La Te Da on a Friday Night!!!

We were so happy we found this place at the last minute on our way into Key West. Chris at the front desk was more than accommodating, giving us the luxury room for the economy price, since it was the last room.

Our room was great, beautiful hardwood floors and great bathroom with private toilet and large sink/mirror and JACUZZI TUB!!!! on a balcony overlooking the courtyard swimming pool and 3 levels of sundecks (the top deck is clothing optional).

Their complimentary breakfast is served poolside every morning and you can choose from 3 different plated meals, FREE!

They also have great music and entertainment nightly. Our bartender, Mindy, was awesome too!

We loved our experience sooo much we decided to stay an extra night! If I'm ever in The Keys again, La Te Da is my first choice for hospitality.

I would bring $ for cash tips, though. As you will want to tip your breakfast servers and cleaning staff.

    LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!

I stayed here with my fiance for a friend's wedding on the island over this past wknd; basically the whole hotel was rented out to accommodate the bridal party. I loved everything here!!!!

The ambiance reminded me of 60's; the white European plantation estate, shrinked and scooped right out of south and placed in Key West.

The pool in the middle was just a nice touch to make this place perfect!!! :D Since we had the entire hotel to ourselves, we had lots of fun, pool partying and canon balling into the pool every night with beer and cocktails!

We had the complimentary breakfast every morning and we had the options of the classic american, french toast, and vanilla yogurt with fruits and they were all very good.

The room was nice too! My only complain is the wifi situation, where we had one spot in the room for full reception. But! since we were on a vacay, I didnt care too much. :)

The location was very convenient; not too far, not too close to the busiest part of the town. I could easily walk to the hotel after bar hopping on my high heels.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful as well and I definitely recommend this place to anyone, desiring to stay somewhere outside of cookie-cuttered, franchised place.

Highly recommend La Te Da Hotel.    This place is an amazing value.  It feels like you're in Key West because the whole vibe IS Key West. Rattan furniture.  White decor.  It's small, but clean and comfortable.  A pool is on site.

It's super close to walk to wherever you need to go, but without being on top of the bars and parties taking place.  LOVED that.  Breakfast is available in the morning and I can't believe we missed it, but in the bar they have a drag show.

Our visit to Key West was WAY too short, but when I do go back, I'll be booking at La Te Da.  It's AWESOME.

Only think to be prepared for is parking can be a bear.  Take care that you don't park somewhere that is someone else's space while you're parking on the street because you WILL get a parking ticket.

    Can't wait to go back.

One of the highlights of my trip to Key West was our hotel stay at La Te Da.  It was probably one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in, simply because of the amazing open-air layout.  Palm trees, pool, wooden deck, outdoor tables and bar ... our hotel room opened directly onto the patio.  It was magical.

The room was spacious and clean.  One complaint was the bed was not very comfortable and the shower was a bit of a surprise - absolutely no door or curtain.  Anyone laying in the second bed could have a clear view of the shower.  I think we know what this room was designed for!!

Another complaint about our room: it was right next to their walk-in cooler which delivery people and staff would enter and exit every morning.  It was terribly loud and woke us up every time.  Not much they can do about it but it was not very enjoyable.

Another perk about this restaurant is the free breakfast.  You have a choice from a couple menu options, coffee and juice.  All included.  It's pretty good but obviously not as good as some of the surrounding restaurants.  Still, who can argue with a free breakfast? Order a mimosa for about $9 - expensive but delicious.

The hotel also has a lively and beautiful bar overlooking Duval Street.  Busy with an older crowd every night.  Live music and a piano bar.  They also have a Cabaret but we did not have the chance to check it out this time around.

If I return to Key West (I mean *when* I return), I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has everything at a moderate price point.  Great restaurant, full bar, pool, clothing optional sun deck, live music, and a fun cabaret theatre.  One of the things I love about traveling to Vegas and AC is that you can stay in one place and have almost everything you need, and Hotel La Te Da fits that bill in Key West.  Plus, it's only steps from the Southernmost Point.

The hotel and rooms have recently undergone a facelift, and it shows.  I loved the beach-y feel of our room, with high ceilings and private terrace.  The enormous walk-in shower was a real treat.  Free breakfast is included at the hotel restaurant; stop by the front desk first for your voucher.  We only took advantage of this one of the three days we were there; should have definitely done it every day!

While parking is rough on Duval, you can park for free on the side streets surrounding Hotel La Te Da, just make sure where you are parked does not say the space is for residents only.  We did not have an issue parking our car and leaving it during our stay.

Because Hotel La Te Da is smack dab in the thick of things on Duval Street, it's going to be loud.  Live music is featured during happy hour and also some extremely energetic and fun piano playing/singing is performed from about 9pm-1am, so plan accordingly!  I actually enjoyed listening to the piano player as I tucked myself into the glorious king size bed.

My only super-teeny complaint (as this is really just a matter of personal preference) - the TV is the room was very small and no Wi-Fi is available.  I hate to be one of these people that NEEDS to still have full access to technology while on vacation, but sadly I am.  This won't keep me from going back, simply a little something to note.  And for those of you that really prefer to disconnect, this may even bump Hotel La Te Da up a star :)

Thanks for the lovely stay, Hotel La Te Da!

We came here for brunch on a hot summer morning. The atmosphere of this place is absolutely amazing! Plenty of fans to keep you cool for the smoldering days in The Keys. We had "Cliffy" as a server, and he was hilarious! He was an awesome server that constantly kept checking back to make sure our mimosas were filled. We had the crab cake salad and the crab cake benedict, and they were undeniably delicious. Great flavor with the perfect amount of spice. Overall, the ambiance and staff were outstanding, and the service topped it all off. I would highly recommend visiting this spot for brunch. I have heard that they fill up fast in the evening due to their burlesque show. 5 stars!
