This review is easy! A terrific place in a good location with wonderful service. I'm only sorry we did not eat in their highly rated restaurant during my recent short stay...perhaps next time!

A very easy 5 star rating!

My wife and I stayed there during the Harley-Davidson Poker Run and we were very satisified in all areas. Although we have been to KW numerous times, first time we stayed at a non-traditonal hotel and it won't be the last. Marquesa is a 1st Class operation all the way and the location is perfect. The staff treated us like VIP's and best of all they don't allow children in the pool areas, 14 and over I think it was. First time I can remember enjoying a pool without kids yelling and playing while their parents ignore them. It truly is an oasis and the best of the best as others have commented.

Absolutely loved this place. Very low key and is run extremely well. Each room is decorated unique and is so inviting. There are 2 pools to relax at and again is quiet while being surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Would love to go back soon!

Beautiful hotel and lovely attentive staff. Richard graciously made us dinner reservations each night and gave us great directions when needed. It is so close to Duval street, yet far enough away that you do not have the noise  or crowds. We will be back. The junior suites by the pool are quite nice. You can leave your door open and listen to the waterfall above the pool or sit by one of the two pools. Young children are not allowed to stay at the property. Suite 17 is set back so you have more privacy. We enjoyed every moment.

I just returned from a week long stay at the Marquesa and I was incredibly impressed with it.

Everything here is first rate.  The service from all the employees -  from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the concerige -  was incredible.  They were able to arrange all sorts of tours, activities and even get us reservations at the best restaurants on the Key. More than this though, everyone was always very happy to help.  It's one thing to provide these services but it's quite another to do so with a smile.

The location of the hotel is perfect.  Just two blocks off of Duval Street and within easy walking/biking distance to anything you could want on the Island.

The rooms were cleaned with a professionalism and thoroughness I have never seen before.

Do yourself a favor and stay nowhere else during your visit to Key West.

This is a lovely hotel. Not really a hotel as it is a group of apartments set around a pool. The higher priced rooms are poolside and some have their own steps to the pool.
We woke up to find breakfast served on our porch. The facilities are superb. The comfort is on another level.
I could park the hire car in the underground garage.
The pool was secluded and kept beautifully. The hotel also has one of the best restaurants in town. A walk of 2 minutes and you will be in the heart of the action, Duval St.
The price was quite high, but still good value.

Again a great stay, 5* all the way.
I don't have a single criticism, and we've stayed at the Marquesa four times now.
It is one of the finest small hotels I've ever been in.

The conch house charm of this small luxury hotel is memorable. Room decor is West Indies chic, palette watercolor restful (think sherbet shades). Inn keeper personable. We simply walked out the french doors and down to the jacuzzi pool deck the night we arrived wrung out after our drive down the Overseas Highway. Lovely

My husband and I loved this place.  We spent Thanksgiving here and it was the perfect spot.  The staff is just amazing!  The recommended places to eat, shows to attend, etc.

I did not think hotels gave turn down service anymore, but they do here.  It is such a nice touch to get back to your room in the evening and your lamp has been turned and they have closed the drapes for you, as well as turned down your bed.

It is a very quiet place with no children.  Lying by the pool is very relaxing and they have refreshments in the afternoon.

I cannot wait to come back!

Glad we stayed here!  Our room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom.  Everyone was very nice.  The grounds are beautiful and the location is perfect! Walking distance from almost everything but far enough from the noise to be a peaceful oasis.  Would definitely stay there again.

The Marquesa Hotel is a really beautiful property designed for those that want to lounge around the pool all day long.  Our room was beautiful, and the staff was very helpful.  However, if you are planning on spending your days in Key West doing activities, you may not be at the hotel enough to enjoy the privacy and relaxation that it has to offer.

There are some downsides to the hotel that are worth mentioning.  We found the Marquesa through the Select Registry, which is all about Bed and Breakfast's.  However, the Marquesa isn't a B&B, as it does not serve breakfast.  You can order room service and get a continental breakfast for $10 per person, but it is definitely not a B&B.  With a full restaurant attached, it could be a wonderful B&B.  Given the price, it really should be a real B&B.  There are some other minor issues, such as the wi-fi is unfriendly to iOS devices (so much for the iPad) and the toilet paper is the cheapest they could find.  While neither of these are huge issues, it wouldn't be too difficult to fix them.

One of the great aspects of the hotel is the staff.  They are very friendly and make and effort to great you on your way in and out of the hotel.  They also are very willing to make recommendations and to make reservations for a wide range of activities.  It really give you the pampered feeling.

I'm not sure if we would stay here again.  There are many real B&B's around that look interesting.  We've enjoyed our stay here and are happy vacationers.

I almost never leave reviews, but this hotel has earned a glowing one. The Marquesa is an oasis in the middle of the party that is Key West. Beautiful property, and a friendly and accommodating staff. Just a stones-throw from the hustle and bustle of Duvall Street, the hotel is able to offer easy access to all that Key West has to offer, but once on the property, you immediately start to decompress. If I had to do it again, I would come back and spend more time at the resort itself. Worth every penny!

I don't give many 5-star ratings on Yelp (could check my history), but this place clearly is 5-star worthy.

    1) Great overall experience. Staff were incredibly friendly and amazing.

After getting a brief run-down of Key West by one of the workers at check-in, he proceeded to bring us to our room and then gave each of us a cup of wine. Didn't expect that.  Later during our visit, we would ask a worker to make dinner reservations at such and such a place. And they were able to do it without a problem. It did seem like this place also had  some pull with nearby restaurants, which I appreciated.  We wanted to rent bikes, again...they did this for us.

    2) The rooms are really cute and quite large. I think we stayed in one of the smaller rooms and they were large.  Had a couch, coffee table, etc.  The AC was a little bit on weak side (either too hot or too cold), but not a big deal.

    3) The pools were nice and private.  While they could maybe use a few more lounge chairs, especially during the afternoon...it was still very doable.

    4)  Location is great.  Key West is a walking/bike type of town since everything is so close, but this hotel is right smack in the middle of things (but not on Duval so the noise was not bad).

    5) I would tell locals where I am staying and every single one of them would respond, oh wow amazing place, when I said Marquesa Hotel.  This place is the place to stay in Key West.   It is on the expensive side vs. other options, but it is so worth it.

Honestly have no negatives to say about this place.  I did find Key West a little lacking in things to do (vs. say Miami and considering the 5 hour ride down there, but  if I ever had to go back to Key West, I certainly would check to see if Marquesa has an open room).

Best hotel I've ever been to. Reception was beyond expected. We were given a tour of the hotel before being taken to our room. We were given two complimentary glasses of wine in our room. There are two pools, one is heated, staff is beyond friendly and the room was very comfortable. Not the cheapest place, but definitely worth it.

Excellent place to stay!  It was convenient to everything. Daily fresh water, tea, coffee and towels.  CJ checked us in and was most helpful.  The Blonde lady who checked us put could learn from the younger man.  She was nice but to direct. It would not keep me from coming back because it was awesome!  Maids were excellent and the night gentleman was so sweet.  check them out

Stayed at the Marquesa Hotel for three nights. It is within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit in KW. Rooms were clean and bright. We rated the hotel 4 overall; however, we rate Bruce tops in all areas -- definitely a 5 out of 5. Bruce was enthusiastic, accommodating, extremely helpful, and he provided excellent tips on dining and area attractions. His cheerful and friendly demeanor was in contrast with other hotel staff members.

The Marquesa is a beautiful property with friendly and accommodating service along with an incredible attention to detail. The pools and chairs are perfect for lounging and spending the day where you are surrounded by beautiful trees, plants and flowers.

When I booked the hotel I originally thought we had a first floor poolside room being thrown off by the number (112), but this was in fact a room on the second floor. I was a little disappointed because I really wanted to just walk out of my room and be near the pool. I asked if anything could be done and they easily were able to provide us with a first floor room. I was very happy considering it was a busy week during the end of high season with many other states having spring break from school.

The rooms are nicely appointed. We had a large king sized bed and a large bathroom. As I said I appreciate attention to detail, for example the flat screen tv in room was recessed into the wall to avoid accidentally bumping into it when you walk by the bed. Although I don't think we turned it on once I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the design which reminded me of high end items you would get from Restoration Hardware - solid and classic!  My minor gripe would be the water pressure in the shower was not as strong as I would have liked, but it was good enough.

The Marquesa enjoys a privileged location on a quiet corner just a block or so from all the action of Duval St, not far from Mallory Square and Ft Zachary Taylor State Park. Everything was walk-able with so many shopping and dining options nearby. Now throw in free parking in a covered garage as well- you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in all of Key West.
