Great location! Beautiful decor! Spacious rooms with balconies. Very modern bathroom with the softest towels ever. Nice touch to find a small selection of books to read in the room or poolside. (3 pools)  Very friendly staff. Great underground parking at no extra charge. Everything was pristine and perfectly detailed. Couldn't beat the grand opening price and plan to return after the season!

Location cannot be beat. This place is brand new and you can tell. It still has went paint and the smells of construction but who cares?  The staff is wonderfully attentive and the rooms are very roomy with great bathrooms. The only part that's a bit weird is that when we left the room the drapes were open but upon our rerun they were closed so we think someone was in the room while we were checked in between that and a door that we closed and locked between the rooms being opened up again. No turn down service so I'm not sure what that was about but still a fabulous place overall and highly recommend. Opening day bargain abound!

This is a fantastic new place to stay in Key West.  Well worth the price for the location and upscale, quiet, contemporary hotel.  Blows away the Westin and Hyatt.  Comparable to the W and Intercontinental in decor with a local Keys casual feel.  They are still working out some of the newness but will accommodate whatever you need with a phone call.  We usually stay in the B n B's but they were all sold out and the Marker met all expectations. Did not try the cafe so can't comment on that.  We are FL residents and often stay in the Keys for last minute getaways and will stay here again.  Avoid cruise ship alley and sleep well here.

Looks like a nice new hotel!   Went in for a drink at there pool bar with another couple an the service was terrible!   You would think they could hire a bartender that can tend bar and speak at least alittle English  !  It took him ten minutes to even acknowledge us!  And he certainly wasn't busy!  Based on that experience   I would not stay at the marker!!!

New hotel in a great location!  Rooms are light and airy.....great bathroom.  It was windy and chilly while we were there, but would have definitely used the pools if we'd had warmer temps.  Will visit again!

We visited Key West in December 2014. This hotel was fresh and new. While we did not stay here we did visit the hotel poolside bar and luncheon area. The atmosphere was very appealing, light and airy. Very clean. Our server CJ was incredible. The food was outstanding. We will definitely revisit and consider a stay in the hotel!

The room was beautiful but the front staff couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge guests let alone say hello. I found out through the brochure in the room that there is a restaurant on site and how to get to the pools. They happily took our money, told us a room number and forgot about us.

Great location. This hotel is beautiful. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean (It's a new hotel) beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The staff was beyond nice. They don't have a little store inside the hotel. We were looking for bottle water, called the front and they send us a few bottles to our room which was very sweet of the staff.

The only thing that was a little out of ordinary was during checkout time.  check out  is at 11 (most hotels are at 12pm)  we were actually walking out when there was a knock on the door reminding us it's 11am and time to check out.

Will definitely return here again.

As a local I can tell you, this is the best resort food on the island. I've "staycayed" anywhere from the Ocean Key (which I love) to the Casa Marina (over rated). This hotel is new, not too big, and the food is incredible and fresh. The resort is clean and seems very nice as well! Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel!  Very clean, perfect location, fun pool area.  There were only a few VERY minor problems that you'd expect from a brand new hotel...(only 1 roll of toilet paper provided, we were given a menu at the pool to order drinks/food and were forgotten).  Honestly, these were minor things and just "kinks" with a new hotel...the staff/bartenders were all very friendly and we will DEFINITLY be back.  We've been to alot of the hotels in Key West over the years (we come down twice a year) and the Marker is one of our favorites.  I highly recommend this place.  I promise you'll love it too.

The good:
Beautiful new hotel.
Good location.
Good cleaning service
Awesome bath bombs from Lush
Some staff was very nice.
The bad:
Beds were not comfortable - my wife and one of our two daughters spent the weekend with aching backs.
Some staff seemed to be annoyed to deal with customers.
No reading lights just one very bright light on the night table.
AC was not cold enough. Lowest setting was 68. That might be ok for some people but we like to sleep with the AC super cold and 68 did not cut it. The front desk suggested we open the window.
On our final night the fire alarm went off at 3am. The four of us got up and walked down to the pool area. False alarm. No apologies.
Male bartender at pool bar was not very nice.
The next morning the cleaning staff were knocking at the door at 10:52am and looked at their watch when we said we're not quite ready to vacate the room.

To their credit, at check out they asked us about our stay and gave us a $100 credit for our troubles. Total bill was $1700.

So, a bit of a mixed experience. After sitting in traffic for 5 hours on Saturday morning / afternoon getting to Key West from Miami, we arrived at the Marker understandably cranky... I was travelling w a male friend and had specifically requested 2 separate beds on our reservation, which was confirmed by the hotel when the called me to go over the reservation details.

When I arrived, I checked in and was given keys to a SINGLE KING BED room. I immediately returned to the front desk and that's when the frustration ensued. The undertrained staff fumbled around for about 30 minutes before I finally asked to speak w a manager. At the end of the day, we got the room we requested and they provided a courtesy credit for the misunderstanding. but, at the end of the day, the entire frustration could have been easily avoided with more impressive front desk staff. they were underwhelming to say the least... Not a good first impression.

other than a beautiful property w clean, BRAND NEW ROOMs.

Absolutely loved my stay at The Marker! It's true the front desk girl could use a course on hospitality. It's not that she's rude, she's just not inviting but the rest of the staff is great! All the girls by the pool are sweet and constantly making rounds to make sure everyone is happy and buzzing! The bartender is also super sweet and makes GREAT cocktails!

The hotel itself is clean, crisp and chic. Absolutely my new go to place in the keys!

My only complaint is the room thermostat. It read 68 this morning but my internal thermometer is positive it couldn't have been colder than 72.

Really nice! We enjoyed all the little touches: champagne at arrival, Hemigway books by the bedside, big bath and big separate shower!  Very cute decor.

Enjoyed good cocktails by the pools (painkiller and a blueberry mojito) along with a generous helping of guac and chips.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The best coffee and sandwiches for breakfast/lunch are just a block away at the Cuban Coffee Queen.

Will definitely return here again.
