The location on Duval is great. The Wicker sits on Duval and 9th (913 Duval Street) making it central to all establishments on Duval. My fiance and I stayed there for a second time over the 4th of July weekend (our first time was last year during the 4th of July weekend). The queen room we reserved (same type of room as last year) was quite small. There was not enough drawer or shelf space for clothes. There were quite a bit of scuff marks on the walls. The sliding door to the toilet area of the bathroom did not close completely (the floorboard prevented the door from closing completely). The a/c took way too long to cool. Housekeeping was medicore as well. The microwave we had in the room was not plugged in to an outlet. When we found the cord, it was too short to plug into the nearest socket, so we had to put the microwave on the floor and use it there. The staff is courteous. Noise is not an issue as long as you stay in the rooms in the back of the house. There are two rooms, numbers 5 and 6, located in the front of the house facing Duval.

This place is in the hub of key west. The staff is extremely accommodating. I thought the name was odd but the rooms really bring it life. Some rooms have kitchens & since we love to cook this just made it perfect for us. Highly recommend!

The price and location were both great!  Our room was quiet and away from the street.  We had a King room which was large enough for my boyfriend and I to share comfortably.  There was a tv and a mini fridge.  The place was not top of the line, nor was it extremely quaint, but it did the job.  The parking situation is a little ridiculous, but at least they offer parking.  You have to leave the front desk your car keys in case they need to move it for any reason.  I would stay here again, but it isn't the nicest place I have ever visited.

A room with a porch surrounded by bougainvilleas; windows overlooking the bustling street. It had a tranquil, tropical atmosphere. It was an exotic experience. It was a dream, and I even got my own designated parking stop right on Duval street. Very clean and highly recommended!

Clean, friendly place. Great location. Will certainly stay there when I'm back. Better coffee and greater variety of food for breakfast will be a welcomed change.

Conveniently located to everything, on the quieter end of Duval, comfortable room with friendly, helpful concierge.  After checking out and on my way to catch my plane, I realized I left my ring behind.  Randy was terrific - he immediately retrieved my ring and promised to mail it to me in the morning.  Thank you Randy!

A great find in Key West.  The parking is a little difficult, but we found great on street parking and left our car in that spot the whole time we were there since we were so close to everything.

The room was clean and more than enough room.

We didn't have the breakfast since there are so many good places in the area, but it looked pretty basic.

We stayed here the weekend of Oct.12-13. I was a little scared because of some of the comments on Yelp and Trip Advisor. In fact, I was almost apologizing to my husband in advance! But it's on Duval and we were there for Duval. It's not our first trip and we've had good and bad experiences at other places. This was our first stay at Wicker Guesthouse. We arrived at about 3 pm. Pulled into a parking space on one of the side streets. There are many complaints online about the parking situation, so we were ready to have to walk. We understand that KW is a small island that lots of people like to visit with their cars!!! No problem. We got our room. (Check in was smooth and helpful. No problems.) Our room (#12) was much bigger than I expected. We even had a little porch. The room was clean. I don't really intend to roll around and lick the floor, but it was clean. Definitely Keysie. I like it!!! AC kept us adequately cool. There were ceiling fans in both the bath and bed room. It's not a brand spanking new hotel. If that's what you're after, look elsewhere. And although I did not hear roosters in the morning, they ARE  there. They crow!!! And generally, they do it in the morning!!! It's Key West!!! Frankly, if I don't hear some poultry at some point, I'm bummed!!! ;) We'll definitely be back.

If you're read the other reviews... I don't have to tell you that your room sits right on Duval street.. I don't have to tell you that the people are really nice, and the rooms are large... and i don't have to tell you that that its totally reasonable.  I will tell you that if you are out all night drinking, you are going to need stronger coffee ! Luckily, there was a french place across the street that came through...

Situated on the more quiet end of Duval but still where the fun is! Two wine tasting rooms are within a very short walking distance, so are great places to eat. You'll also find quaint little shops to browse. The BnB itself is a little complex of cozy bungalows and behind the gated entrance is an entirely different world than what is on the outside. Peaceful tranquility, a friendly staff, a beautiful pool, lush landscaping, a decent continental breakfast, and a really cool kid's playhouse plus many other pleasantries await you if you're willing to take a chance on this homey little gem on Duval.

Great location in the heart of Key West!  Our room was a very clean junior suite with a separate living area and a great jacuzzi tub!  The property was well maintained and had lots of charm.  We had everything close to us, dining, bars, shops and much more. We will definitely be back again!

This really is PRIME location if you are touring Key West.

*They do provide you with a parking spot, so just pull in the front when checking in and they will tell ya where to park
*They can set up any tours or excursions you are interested in.
*The grounds are lovely and really do keep quiet from the busy busy street it is facing.

*On the the other hand*

*Our room was like a dark cave. Dark walls. Dark furniture. No light able to seep through the window... Might be nice to escape to during the blazing summer, but I was looking for a different experience.
*Breakfast was the basic pastries, toast, cereal, etc. I don't eat wheat so not much for me to choose from. Plus, they only had serving size spoons?? So weird. Challenging to eat yogurt or even cereal from.
*One lady was a bit "cold". Thought maybe she was having a rough day, but no, I think that's just her personality.. Or she just really didn't like me very much..

I would stay here again happily if that's how it worked out, but would maybe see what else was available first.

I just stayed in the Wicker House for Memorial Weekend with family.

The location is great. It's right on Duval, about a fifteen minute walk to Mallory Square.  The woman at the front desk was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room seemed clean.

However, there is room for improvement. Our room was always slightly warm and humid, even when we turned the AC up. There was no overhead light, only two lamps and the light in the kitchenette area, so the room was a little dim. Also. The bathroom was warmer than the bedroom, which made taking hot showers uncomfortable, and when I tried to adjust the water temperature it took a lot of fiddling and time.

We did use the pool and that area was really nice.

This was our first time in key west.   We absolutely loved the location of the inn.  The breakfast was just enough.   Our room just off the courtyard was great.   We would highly recommend this inn

I rarely write reviews, only when the service has either been phenomenal or really bad. I love the level of customer service at The Wicker house. I had ordered a birthday gift to be delivered to our room, there was a mix up and another room received the gift and ate it! Lol the staff at the wicker house not only gave me the money to pay for the gift but also reordered it for us! They took a situation and made it right. Excellent service

Great location on Duval! You would think it would be noisy but the air conditioner gives you that nice"white noise" effect, allowing you to sleep comfortably. The room is comfy and pool area nice and quiet.
Here's a tip- bring your own towels - but only if you want to actually absorb the water off your body!

First time in Key West for a wedding, and made a somewhat last minute booking. At +$330 a night we  were expecting a little more. The biggest issue was on our last night there as we were packing up I went to move the suitcase and a COCKROACH ran out from under the back and scurried underneath the bed! Me and my wife were so disgusted we ended up just finishing packing and not staying in the room and dirving to the airport hours early.

Aside from that, the grounds weren't too bad, the pool was a nice touch, the rooms were an acceptable size. The bathrooms could have been better kept, there were black spots on some of the grout in the tiles in the shower.

The staff was pretty courteous and the location of the building, while on Duval street, it was still a ways away from a lot of the more happening spots.

Recently stayed 4 nights. The floors in the room were stripped and the bare wood was exposed.  The water pressure sucked. The front desk staff was just okay, they could care less how your stay was. The bed was hard as a rock, housekeeping only left one washcloth; we had to request another. The parking, ugh, hot mess. If you do get one of their 8 parking spots, you have to leave your key at the front desk so they can move your car or the street when the next person comes to check in. The front desk people leave at 9 or 10 PM, so you are stuck if they have you keys, or if someone parks behind you.
There is a small pool that is open 24 hours a day, but you will be scolded for making noise after 9 PM. The best part of the hotel is the courtyard around the pool.

Just when I had come to terms with how small and unappealing our room was, my boyfriend and I both found mold on our breakfast pastries.  I don't have an issue with a basic continental breakfast, but moldy and stale food is not okay.

We got a room for $312 including all taxes and fees during the peak week of the season so we decided that our small room was a good deal despite poorly patched and even unpatched holes in the wall, the lack of a closet, and the completely unfinished wood floor.  Bottom line, after staying at various inns and guesthouses in Key West, I will not be returning to this one no matter how good the price is.  If you do stay here, confirm that they are not intending to put you in room 11B.

We knew in advance that Duval Street is a very expensive part of town, but for over $300 a night we expected more. The staff at the front desk were not very helpful. We got differing answers to the same questions from different people. The public area outside was run down and dirty. I have had a better breakfast in a chain hotel.

The room was small, but that is to be expected in an exclusive part of town. It is close to the "action" in Key West, but we will not stay there again.

If I'm not able to stay with a friend, I exclusively stay at the Wicker. Most of their staff who's been around a while remember me. I have never had anything short of phenomenal service and postcard perfect stays. Once, I had trouble with my a/c and the overnight staff came and took care of it right away.

They are a bit pricey but it is THE best place to stay in Key West in terms of being right in the action (yet somehow the rooms are all so quiet) on Duval. We've done girls' weekends, couples' getaways, and groups at the Wicker. The breakfast is great if you are a simple breakfast person (continental and excellent coffee and juice). Also, there is a communal kitchen if you're staying in one of the rooms without a kitchenette. And there is a gas grill. We've saved hundreds of dollars per trip by simply bringing our own food (or getting it from the grocery store in town).
